This bakery is located in a little strip mall that you would swear is actually in Mexico proper. All of the businesses there are Mexican owned, Mexican music was blaring, and I was the only gringo in sight. No problem, everyone was friendly. This bakery offers some wonderful baked goods. You'll see the usual like churros and empanadas filled with pineapple filling, apple turnovers, molasses pigs cookies, pan de muerto, but there were dozens of things in there I'd never seen before,and they all looked great. They offer a wide selection of square, decorated birthday cakes. A cooler has the traditional paletas in various flavors--strawberry, coconut, and others. And, surprisingly, they offer many sandwiches such as Cuban sandwiches, if you're hungry. It doesn't hurt to speak Spanish if you go here; I don't think they spoke English. The ladies behind the cash registers were nice and helpful. Even a lady who was a customer there was helping me out by helping identity the pastries. Everyone was nice. I love little privately owned businesses like this, and I love exploring something exotic and new. If they would have had pumpkin empanadas, Id have given this place 5 stars.
