I ordered a half rack of ribs and they were tough. The bbq sauce had a weird flavor. I frequently eat at this Outback and lately each experience has been different. I am not a fan of different dining experiences because I feel as if i may waste money and leave unhappy. The visit before this, my burger was not cooked throughly and I had to send it back. I despise sending food back. I am not going to eat here for a while maybe it will return to the consistent restaurant that I have always enjoyed. The bartender was blah.

Went to eat on a Saturday and the service was amazing. Our waiter Avery B. was excellent and had only been working there a week. He interacted with us and my four year old daughter was still talking about him after we left. He was very talkative and knew the food on the menu. I ordered the Cobb salad, my husband ordered the chicken tenders and my daughter ordered the cheeseburger and fries. All the food was excellent and we never had to wait for our drinks to refill. He was always stopping to refill out drinks and made sure we had bread at all times on the table. He was very friendly and he got our food out in a timely manner. Avery definitely changed my experience because the last time I went to eat at Outback the waitress was very rude and barely came to our table. We highly recommend eating here and definitely ask for Avery B, you will have a great experience.

Watch out for the waitresses here. After telling the elderly couple behind us that they couldn't find any coin change (.16), they were told just to not worry about it. When our bill was left, it was $22.25. They told us they couldn't find any coin change ($.75) and just brought us bills. I advised her that that as OK, that she could just keep the $.75 and add it to her tip. However, I reduced her tip by $1.50 that I left on the table. Hope she enjoys her tips today. If you are going to do something like that, have the nerve to be truthful. Oh, the waitress was training another waitress, so it must be a standard operating procedure. Will not go back to that location.

Ok - this might be a chain, but this location really does try hard to make itself stand apart from the rest. There are all the typical menu items, but whoever is doing the cooking knows how to cook steak correctly and everything else was just as amazing - from the service to the cleanliness of the place - all very good. Our waitress was terrific and the had the splenda I need for my ice tea! The only reason this place isn't getting the 5 stars I'd normally give it is because the parking sucks. Why on earth have so many places for take out and then make everyone else walk so far - especially because all the close spots are saved for patrons of other places.

I was on a business trip and ate at the bar. Food and service were good, not to mention the beer. Only complaint is that my Salmond steak was a bit small.

Food is good and service is stellar. Sit and the Bar mostley and the service is top notch parking is the biggest issue as its in a shopping center and other businesses need the parking as well

I was in Greenville for a weekend getaway with my family. We had planned to go to a local arcade and pizzeria and to our surprise it was closed. We then decided to go downtown to catch some grub. We got there and apparently everyone in SC as well as all surrounding states had that same idea. Nowhere to park, everything totally packed. So we headed back towards our hotel at Woodruff Rd and 385. We then decided to back track a little and go hit the Outback. Not my choice but the wife and kid wanted it so I gave in. I had read a few poor reviews of this location so was hoping we had a better experience. We were quoted an hour wait time even though we arrived at like 8PM. However, we were seated by 8:25 or so. We had a great server who was very attentive. The food that we ordered was really good. To save some money, I just got a burger. I ordered it medium plus and it was cooked to perfection. The fries were not very good so I made them bring me some more. Everybody enjoyed their meal. Perhaps new management came in and turned the place around. From my one visit here, I would feel comfortable recommending the place to others.

Outback is always consistent, but this location is superb. It was packed, and I had to wait, but once seated, no one rushed us. Southern charm at its finest..I always get the Outback special. They cooked it to perfection. I like medium rare, and that is hard to do right, but they did. Our drinks seemed watery and I do not care for their wine selection, but forgreat food, its the most reliable restaurant I have found in Greenville It is my GO TO place when I have comapny or clients in.

Not what is used to be! Portions are smaller and poorly presented. Service was very slow.

I ordered a filet and it was delicious, the bartender noticed that the cut contained a good bit of fat. I never complained...they made things right. This is why I always go to Outback. Thank you Bethany!!! Highly recommended!

Outback or any chain for that matter is not my first choice but I was lured in by their Wednesday special. Steak, blue cheese wedge salad, baked potato, and desert for $12 - can't beat that. I started out with their "Steakhouse Martini" and the server (Shelby) stuffed my olives with blue cheese just like I like them. The salad was as good as I have had and the steak is always acceptable but this sirloin was especially good. I took the cheesecake back to the hotel while I worked on my emails. Tomorrow I'll make sure my money goes to a local establishment but tonight I had a good meal and good service at a chain.

Ate here last night. This is a typical Outback. Busy on a Friday night. I had the Steakhouse salad and I loved it! Was also happy it was a non-smoking restaurant.

I live close to the first Outback on Gulf to Bay in Clearwater and have been going to many Outback's over 20 years. I guess you could say that I know what to expect when I visit any location. I was in town on business and saw that the Outback was basically right across the street from the Hyatt we were staying at. Looking around the area there wasn't much to choose from that I was familiar with. Normally this isn't a problem, but I wanted something that was close, had a full bar, and above all, STEAK ! We ended up going there both nights we were in town, and both nights were a really nice experience. First night we arrived at 6:30 and we were seated right away, in less than a minute we were greeted by our server and she took our drink order. I can't say how much I place on service, I worked as a bartender and server for many years, and know how hard the job can be. Anyhow drinks were served, app order taken and hot bread brought to table. The Tito and soda was well made and a basic no frills Pinot Noir was pretty good. Yes the service was excellent. The grilled shrimp app was cooked perfectly, though I miss when they served the shrimp on a pressed piece of garlic bread, and instead was served on a bed of chopped lettuce. Not a big deal, I just miss the old days I guess. I ordered the Pork Porterhouse, never heard of such a thing before, but our server explained very well what it was, basically a big bone in pork chop. I was hesitant to order it but I did, and was very glad I did, very tender, lean and moist too ! Our other order was the Hearts of Gold Mahi, which is a grilled piece of mahi with artichoke, sundried tomatoes, and lemon butter sauce. It was a touch dry, but it was still a tasty dish. We left feeling well fed, and knew just by the service alone, we would come back the next night. Next evening we arrived at 6:30 on a Friday and there was a 40 minute wait. No big deal, we found two seats at the bar and ordered up the usual Tito and soda and a Bombay Sapphire dirty martini. Wow, the bartenders pour and make really good drinks without over pouring, and were spot on all evening. Once seated we had another great server, and again the service was excellent. We ordered the Tuna Ahi app, though it was good, it was cold and a little darker than fresh Ahi which led me to believe it was pre-cooked ? The wedge salad is huge, and was cold and fresh like a wedge salad should be. We ordered the ribeye with baked potato, and prime rib with broccoli, both dishes were cooked correctly, very tender, and hot on arrival. Like I said at the beginning I've been to many Outback's and this one seemed to be very well managed, with the servers working as a team. I saw many different servers running food and drinks out to other tables, and all seemed to have a good attitude. I hope this is how it is next year when I visit.

I am a little late posting this review, but we decided to run into Outback for a quick lunch about a week ago and since it was pretty much empty, we figured we would be in and out rather quickly. After seeing our very jumpy waiter only once in 30 minutes, I started to think that our experience was not going to be a pleasant one. When he finally arrived with our food, my soup was cold and my salad was hot. The potatoes in the soup were gummy and awkward and it tasted sour, almost like curdled milk. It was gross and smelled terrible. My husband ordered a steak and of course, his was cooked perfectly. I sent my soup back 3 times and after the third time, I decided that I wasn't hungry anymore. Our waiter was a jerk to be honest. He told me that the potatoes are suppose to be that way and that no one else complains about it. My response to him was, "yeah but I am not everyone else and that soup is garbage." How hard is it to make some potato soup? Of course they took the soup off my bill and left the salad. I have vowed to never go there again.

Outback has been a regular stop for me whenever I am traveling which is frequently. It has always been a reliable place to go, especially when in a new town. However, recently (last 6 months) I have been disappointed in Outback in every instance. The service isn't what it was (lack of experience and knowledge) and, the quality of the meat is clearly not up to par any more. I am convinced they have been using inferior grade beef. My experience at this particular Outback exactly mirrored my disappointments of the last 4 occasions. Learned from this, they are off the rotation

  • The steaks are awesome. I would recommend the outback special (12oz) with a caesar salad I love it!

My New York strip was adequate, but I've had better. The wood fire taste was good. The service was excellent. Two in our party were celebrating birthdays, so they brought us free ice cream with chocolate sauce & whipped cream.

Went for lunch today. There's were only three other tables with customers and yet with the service we received one would have thought they were slammed. I ordered the lunch combo of the 1/2 ribeye melt. I opted for the garlic Parmesan fries instead of the regular. It was almost 30 minutes before our food arrived. The ribeye was way overdone, but it is an extremely thin piece of meat so it wasn't surprising. The melt part (cheese) wasn't melted at all. It seemed to be more of an after thought. The fries were some of the greasiest fries I have ever had. Our server kept disappearing. Took her 15 minutes to bring back our tabs. Haven't been to Outback in a while, mostly because of it's location and lack of parking, but was surprised at the lack service and substandard food. Definitely not what we are used to from Outback.

I love eating at Outback. The steaks are tasty, and the price is right. There is room for improvement at this location: -The parking situation here is pretty atrocious. It is a tiny lot shared with other businesses, but at least it is free. -Curbside Takeaway: It is really convenient to call your order in and pick it up. However, the dedicated "to-go order only" spaces are not enforced. So, if you call in an order and want to pick it up, you will be circling the parking lot for a long time like everyone else just to pick up your food. I have even complained to the manager about this issue, and the response was just that they are not allowed to enforce the policy. -Online Waitlist: This location does not really give any priority to being on the waitlist (you do this online at their website). You end up waiting just as long as everyone else. This is not the case at other locations. That being said, if you come here during non-peak times (i.e. 2PM - 5:30PM or after 9PM), you should have a great experience.

Iama Critic Rating - Outback Steakhouse - 4 Stars 21 Orchard Park Drive, Greenville, SC Overall: This Outback steakhouse is extremely consistent. I don't know who is in the kitchen, but the team knows how to deliver! With dining prices getting ridiculous Outback still offers reasonable prices on some of its menu, but you can still go nuts if you feel like splurging like I did. And best of all you can still get a blooming onion! The Service - 3 Stars (15%) Our service was average, which means our waitress did little more than fill our glasses. No interaction, no conversation, no nothing but filling our glasses and bringing us a bill. Do I really need to pay a waitress $12 for that? I am sorry but it is time for customers to start demanding more for their money. Just a few years ago we routinely met extremely busy waitresses that earned 5 stars ratings and 20-25% tips. Today it is rare to have a waitress interact with us at all! Perhaps it is time for us to adjust our tip scale downward as service continues to fall. But for now we provide 20% or more for 5 star service, 18% for 4, 15% for 3, 12% for 2 and 0% for 1 star service. The Food: Table Bread - 3 Stars Outback has been serving this bread for many years. Yes it is good, but table bread standards are going up. Time for Outback to raise the bar. Image this loaf of bread sliced, toasted lightly with a little butter and spices, and then slightly splayed out and served warm. I can almost smell it! Or how about a toasted rye loaf option? $7.49 Bloomin Onion - 4 Stars Still one of the best appetizers ever! But the hard part is beating your friends back so you can get a picture of an unmolested onion! $2.99 Side Salad (w/order) - 3 Stars Many years ago this salad would have been considered top notch just because it has two kinds of cheese. But today this little ice berg lettuce side salad is just so "last decade". Time to zing it up with some nuts, cucumber and exotic greens. $5.29 Clam Chowder - 3 Star This clam chowder had a wonderful creamy texture and good flavor. But you can get the same good chowder at a dozen other places. Without a value price or some other distinctive features, this chowder seems rather average. $11.99 Special Order - 4 Stars My guest was one of those people who special orders everything "Plain"! This grilled chicken and shrimp dish with steamed veggies was perfectly cooked and plain, just the way she wanted it! The only reason it is not five stars is because the chicken breast was pretty thin. When I buy chicken breasts they are never this small, even when I cut them in half! But many restaurants we visit now days serve these 4oz chicken breasts. $24.99 20oz Porterhouse Steak - 5 Stars Enough with the grilled chicken and steamed veggies. Here we have an impressive Hunk O' Meat! Heck yea, it hurt my bank account especially when I added the four ounce $10 lobster tail. But this steak was awesome perfection. It looked great, smelled great and tasted fantastic. Ever the potato was "loaded perfection" with its sea salt encrusted condiment filled self! Not sure what the little tomato was for but it was a nice touch. Sadly when I got home with the T-Bone my dog bit off half my fingers out of shear excitement, but that is another story and I might be exaggerating. $9.99 Lobster - 5 Stars Yikes, this is a lot of money for a tiny four ounce lobster tail, and it sure don't look like the menu picture. But I was splurging and what lobster there was, was perfectly prepared and tasted great. If price is no object its five stars. If you are on a budget, just skip this little lobster adder. $5.00 Raspberry Cheese Cake - 4 Stars A bit too much money for such a thin slice but this cheesecake is really good. However, do yourself a favor, order two no matter what she says! Because when she see how good your cheesecake is and decides she wants "Just a little bite!" Yea.... well apparently the women I know have no idea what a "Little Bite" is!!! Total Bill: $80.07 for two people with tip. Which is certainly more per person than you will likely spend. Final Thoughts: You can't really go wrong with this particular Outback. For whatever reason this Outback is just a step above the rest and is comparable to the best steak houses in Greenville. In fact it puts Saskatoon to shame and Saskatoon costs a whole lot more! Now if they would just fix the side salad, the chowder and tell their waitresses to actually interact with customers, they would be knocking on five stars!

My family came here after church today. We seldom eat out after church but decided to go out afterward today and chose Outback, a place that we have been comfortable with in the past. This was our first time at this particular Outback. It is not a free standing building, it's embedded within a shopping center which is unique. There was no wait time to be seated, and we arrived at 11:45am. The service was good, and our server was very friendly. We ordered a double burger (big enough to split which we did), and my husband ordered a steak with sweet potato and salad. Our food was very good and the atmosphere was enjoyable. My family used the restrooms and said they were clean. Why I didn't give it 5 stars: My coffee wasn't hot, my knife was dirty, the outside of my coffee cup was dirty, and they didn't cut our hamburger in half as we requested. Otherwise, everything else was great.

Love the food and the service is always great. The only thing I can say is the food takes longer than some places but is usually because they are so packed with customers so I understand. I used to work in the food industry & they definitely have it together here!

Call ahead or click thru seating as they call it, is a complete joke. No high expectations of anything amazing plated, but if you offer a service, then stand by it.
