Had the sesame chicken, very good. Portion sizes are very generous. Our server was also very sweet.

Had a great lunch combo. It was enough for TWO lunches. The hot and sour soup was spicy and rich. The orange peel chicken was spicy and fresh. The Oriental House was suggested by friends and it did not disappoint.

I have been here several times. I have to say my clients seem to like this place a lot more than me. I'm not saying it's bad, its not. It just tastes like decent Chinese food. My favorite dish here is the Beef with Broccoli. The egg rolls and hit and sour soup are the highlights for me!

This is a clean and welcoming place. I ordered sweet tea, a spring roll, and the lunch vegetable lo mein. I wasn't impressed. There aren't a lot of vegetables on the plate! My total was 11.50...too much for what I got.

We were visiting from out of town, and decided to try this place based upon other good reviews. It did not disappoint! The hot and sour soup was seriously the best I have ever had. My husband thought the same thing. Two thumbs up! We both also had the Mongolian Beef. The beef was tender, plentiful, and tasty, and there were plenty of scallions. The only reason I did not give it five stars, was because the sauce was sweet. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious, but not the traditional sauce that I am accustomed to that goes on Mongolian beef. Nonetheless, I would definitely go back if I am ever in Greenville again!

You have delivery but won't drive more than 10 miles? Seriously what's the point in even having delivery?

Nothing like finding glass in your food, wife almost swallowed it. All they said was bring it back for a refund. Sorry we don't know where it came from. Well it was mixed in the rice so it came from something. Anything broken glass somewhere in there. If you going to eat here you better check your food! Check there photo's i added it to them.

I've only had takeout here but the staff has always been attentive and polite. They have the best hot and sour soup in Greenville- which gives it 5 stars in my book. Over the course of a year and 15 orders of it, it's always been consistent and spot on in taste. Yummy!

This a great find, with quality food and good service. Very extensive menu, I think you'll find something you like. I had Kung Pao Shrimp with fried rice, a spring roll... it was excellent. They have a window in the lobby where you can watch the chef at work, it's cool. The place was busy, but everything was on point. Looks like a new place, not sure. Was pretty close to the Main St area of downtown, I know I'll be back!

I have long been a fan of the oriental house on woodruff rd, always fresh food, and great service. Unfortunately, I can't say the same thing about the store on Augusta. I got my usual, chicken bowl, chicken came out dry, hard, and burnt. But! Management quickly fixed it and gave me one on the house.

It is definitely a lot of food for the money and I was impressed with the orange peel beef. Some of the dishes, however, taste rather bland and lack originality.

This is the best Asian food that I have found since moving to South Carolina. We order the chicken hibachi, beef fried rice, and hot and sour soup regularly. By FAR the best hot and sour soup in town! Very pleasant wait staff as well.

Ordered orange peel chicken. It was ok but doesn't hold a candle to Happy China. Husband ordered pineapple chicken and feels same way. Service was excellent and we enjoyed the dining experience but taste of food just didn't live up to our expectations.

Great Chinese food. Probably the best around. Portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. Staff is very nice and helpful. I've visited multiple times and will continue! Delicious!

beef and broccolli a+ triple delight a+ filet mignon hibachi bowl a+ spring rolls a+ quality of meats, veggies, and plating are unexpected for a nieghborhood Chinese restaurant. beef and broccoli in other places is like chewing on a tire, not this place. cleanliness here is a huge relief. plating and presentation is on point!

I usually try to find the out of the way Chinese restaurants as they often cater more to the food than the "atmosphere". Nestled in the back of the shopping center, I was intrigued, being new to the area. What I found was not only good food but a pleasant "eat in" environment as well. However the real test of a Chinese restaurant is the take-out. Prep was timely, portions were substantial. Packaging excellent. And the taste was every bit as good when I got home. The only reason that it didn't get five stars is that the bar is set high by a couple of places in Galveston, Texas and Shantou, Guangdong.

Delish! I tried it for the first time the other and was extremely impressed. I got take out, but the restaurant was clean and service was very friendly. It was just what I was looking for...fast, inexpense, and tasty. I got the hibachi filet and chicken--not only was it delicous, but enough food to last 4 meals.

Probably the most "white bread", "vanilla", "Chinese" food in town. If it weren't for convenience, I would never eat there.

Had the General Tso's chicken take out. Great flavors. Not quite enough rice served, but everything was delicious. Friendly staff.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
