Routine Mexican fare. Unbelievably fast service. Nice atmosphere. Very eager to please; "can I get that with a soft taco instead of hard?" Yes. "Can I get that with chicken?" Sure. Decent quality and quantity for the price; nothing special, but predictable.

EEEEEEE......GAHAAAAADDSSSS! Me Thinks Not!!!!!!! Hands down this has to be the worst experience I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant in my life! Our server had no clue where he was or what he was doing. The food was bland and all one flavor. 66% of the order our table placed was entirely wrong. We asked for split checks (between 3 people) and our server had no clue who ordered what. This is one of those places where the Yelp! reviews paint an accurate picture. Taco Bell even on it's worst days surpasses the food quality of this place. I shall never return to this place no matter what.

The waitress seemed clueless. They had no plate with bacon... AND! First time here and got double charged. F*uck that!

Horrible dining experience. The chille relleno's were saturated with enough grease to float a battleship to China. Fajitas for 2 were very bland...VERY BLAND. Worse Mexican food I have ever eaten in my life... AVOID AT ALL COST!!!

Food was okay. My party never had a server and had random people give food, a different person give drinks, it was just a mess. They were not staffed whatsoever. Horrible experience.

I have to say how unappreciated I felt as I sat at the bar expecting good service and got quite the opposite. The bartender could not get away from me quick enough as he walked away as I was trying to order my food. Of course when I got home I did not have what I ordered in the bag because he didn't hear it obviously as he walked off. I'm sick and tired of this false entitlement attitudes. I won't be back anytime soon, that might be too soon in itself.

The food was good, but too expensive for what you get. The cuisine is a little different from other local Mexican eateries.

I work right by Monterrey by the mall and I really enjoy it. The food may not be the best, but the atmosphere is pleasant, the people that work there have always been very nice and in great moods. This is always important to me. If I have bad service then it doesn't matter how great the food might be. They are quick, consistent, tasty, and affordable.

The food was great... The portions were a little too much ... Service was good ... Everything came out fast...

If you like food poisoning and horrible service coupled with a jerk for a manager, this might just be your place! I immediately knew something was wrong when the plain grilled shrimp they sat in front of me smelled off. I took a bite and immediately did not think it tasted good. I asked another in our party to taste it and they told me it was probably fine and probably just the way it was cooked. Or maybe, it was just over cooked. The waitress could not understand us and was completely ignorant of the menu. We had to explain it to her. I ate about 5 of the 18 small shrimp and could not stomach anymore of them. I sent them away when the waitress picked up empty plates. I was not going to say anything about it until the bill arrived and I discovered that had been charged an extra charge for the chicken in my daughter's quesadilla that already included meat! At that point, when it was argued with me, I told them I would not pay for the shrimp because it was bad. The manager tried to blame it on overlooking because of safety with it being seafood. Oh the irony! I explained to him that the shrimp was bad. He told me that "this one time" he would take it off my bill. Really??? You serve me shrimp that tastes so bad I can't eat it and you act like you are doing me a favor or that I am trying to get something for free!? I DIDNT EAT IT IDIOT! I told him he did not have to worry about having to do it again (ref "this one time" comment) because I would NOT be back. Well, at 1:30 am, my suspicions were confirmed as I came down with horrible food poisoning! I don't know how this pathetic place stays in business. I am reporting them to the health department for the case of food poisoning I endured in hopes to spare someone else such a horrible fate. RUN FAR AWAY!!!

We've been to this restaurant many times in the past, but I think this last visit we had will be our very last. The food simply wasn't good. We had to send some guacamole back because it came out warm and grayish... not good! The cheese dip was way too watery. For our entrees, we ordered the vegetarian super quesadillas and a vegetarian combo that came with a bean burrito, a cheese enchilada, and a cheese quesadilla... nothing that should have been difficult to make properly, by any means. The quesadillas were tough and rubbery, as if they had been microwaved. The burrito and enchilada sauces tasted old and sour. The service left a lot to be desired, as well. We had a group of 4, and there were only about 3 other groups present while we were there, about the same size as ours. Still, the food took entirely too long to come out. The prices are just too high for the quality and portions of the food. I got sick after eating there and wasn't well again until late the following day. We've officially added this to our list of "DO NOT RETURN" restaurants.

The bar stools SUCK, wicker with leather seats sagging and lower than the bar and tables. The last time I was there I ordered a Strawberry Frozen Margarita and it tasted like a lime margarita that was pink colored. It took 3 times till they got it where I could drink it. Don't wanna go back again!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
