When you're down and troubled and you need a helping hand. And nothing, no nothing's going right, you can always call on Longhorn. The food is consistently good. The staff is consistently nice. There is always a longhorn steer to check out above the bar.

Longhorn Steakhouse in my opinion is one of the better (less expensive steakhouses) in the US. I say less expensive as Morton's, Ruth Chris and the other local ones Chophouse 47, Rick Erwin's, Larkin's are easily a $50 - $100 meal per person depending on what you have and what alcohol you drink with it! For Longhorn you can get away with a steak and beer or wine for easily $35 - $50 taxes and tip in (unless you splurge on wine!). This location is nicely decorated in Western theme (appropriate and pleasing) when you are going to chow down on a great piece of bloody or cooked meat! This evening I didn't feel like a big piece of steak rolling around in my belly, so I decided to go with a caesar salad as a starter. Then grilled shrimp with grilled asparagus. Caesar salad was a healthy generous portion then the shrimp which was three skewers worth on a bed of rice with some wonderful grilled zesty asparagus! All had a very wonderful grilled flavour to it that made for a memorable meal. For dessert Key lime pie is one of my all time favourites. I ordered it up and it was a bit more like a light version of key lime cheesecake. Still good. Some Longhorn locations may be better than other but I thou roughly enjoyed the dinner! Yee haw partner!

Horrible services given by Samantha W. Took over 3 hours to get meal and check correct. Horrible cooks Ribs were so tough could not eat sent back twice , placed another order which took over 30mintues. Will not be returning to restaurant after years of visiting, sorry manager provided lame excuse for the way the ribs were cooked. Dine at your own RISK!!!

We are regulars here and the food is sensational! They know how to cook a steak! The service is great, we like to sit at the bar when Kyle is bartending. Kyle is an awesome server!

It has been a long time since I've eaten at this restaurant, and I had forgotten how tasty there food was. I had the 6oz sirloin, cooked to perfection, a properly baked potato, and a crispy salad. I didn't give 5 stars because the sweet tea was waay to sweet - even for this southern girl, and the bread tasted old. The waitress was attentive and friendly. I'll visit again and next time I will ask for fresh bread.

Friday at lunch time is not a good time to leave people waiting in the lobby. The hostess appeared to be unorganized and stood with her hands on her hips looking over the dining room. There were a lot of empty tables, she told us the waitress in the bar area had 6 tables and that was her limit. She said we had to wait for tables to be cleaned. NO ONE WAS CLEANING TABLES ! Other people were waiting, no one was being seated. There are a lot of places to eat on Woodruff Road and Brixx was very happy to seat us. Customers were leaving and the hostess did not say a word. We won't be back!

Good steaks, but a little pricey. Be prepared to wait if you don't have reservations.

Ribeye was good, as were asparagus. Huge and delicious chocolate cake/mousse with vanilla ice cream.

A really good date night restaurant if you're wanting steak. The staff was friendly, courteous and attentive without being overbearing.our server Matt put up with a lot of questions and made several trips to the kitchen as we were asking about trying to find an appetizer without dairy in it. (Turns out they all have dairy, so we skipped it). The atmosphere was nice. Our steaks were cooked very well and were full of flavor. We'll be back for future date nights!

Food was delicious. We had the stuffed mushrooms, Wild West shrimp and of course steak. The waitress was nice but kept forgetting to bring the bread. In the end we never got it. Other than that the atmosphere was nice and calming. Yes, I will return.

Food consistently good - burgers and their small steak was cooked as asked and was tender. I would recommend this place. The bar can be a crowded place.

Because I travel I eat at a bunch of Longhorns restaurants however this one is the cleanest store with a great staff. My steak salad was cook a proper medium and every other ingredient was very fresh. I'll be back when in town.

My wife's favorite place. Was going to surprise her with a Ribeye and picked it up to go. When she cut into the steak it was raw. It was like they just put it in the grill the in the box. I had to cook it on my grill. Called and complained and the manager said he would send gift cards for next visit... Needless to say, we never received them.

Came here on business and really not much a steak eater. Ordered the Flo's Filet Mignon and shrimp on a cedar plank. It was fantastic! The filet was seasoned well and melted in your mouth and the shrimp was parmesan crusted with lemon butter. Highly recommend!!!!!!

Horrible experience. We arrived on a Friday at 5 pm to take my parents out for a celebration dinner. My 72 yr old Mother has battled cancer for over a year and was given a clean bill of health. We thought it could be an enjoyable evening. We were wrong. I should have realized that after 30 mins of standing in an almost empty restaurant that this was not going to be good. Another hint was the fact there were 5 hostesses and only 1 waitress. I complained as to why we could not be seated. They let me know they were giving the waitress time to catch up. 10 minutes later we asked to speak to the manager, the hostess said she could take us back to the table The table was literally 5 steps from the hostess stand where people would be coming by all throughout our dinner. When I requested the 6 top table in the corner, the hostess said no. I asked why couldn't someone pick up a table until the server arrived. They said no. It was ridiculous that there were FIVE hostesses standing around at the front door while the waiting room filled up. It was unbelievable that there were 57 people standing in the small waiting area at 5:30 pm on a Friday night and all the hostesses could do was stand around and chit chat to each other. I wish I had taken a picture now! Finally the manager arrived. She said that 4 more waiters would be in within the half hour. I told her that the fact that it was a Friday night with 5 hostesses and one waiter was a scheduling problem. I asked why her hostesses couldn't seat and take drink orders. Why her staff couldn't work together and pick up the extra tables? She assured me would receive excellent service from this point forward. Ha, that was funny. My husband and I decided that the poor service even before we were seated was reason enough to walk out. So we called the Open Hearth that has been in Greenville SC since 1959. They made reservations for 30 minutes from the time we called. We left Longhorn and drove across town to the Open Hearth. What a difference. We were greeted at the door and immediately seated. The waitress was at our table within 2 minutes. The food impeccable! We all had lobster bisque, salads, and filet mignon. An excellent evening! And worth every penny of our $176 bill. From now on THIS will be our first choice.

We're not regular steak eaters so when we're in the mood for one we usually go to LongHorn. For me, no matter the LongHorn location, the kitchen staff seems to cook my Flo's Filet just right every time. At the Greenville restaurant today, even with an extremely busy Father's Day crowd in the restaurant, the wait staff was friendly and efficient and everything that was served to us was delicious.

Bartender was fantastic. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and very very flavorful. Longhorn may replace Ruth's Chris as my favorite steakhouse.

Stopped in for an early dinner while out shopping, and we were pleasantly surprised. I had the prime rib, and my wife had the grilled trout. Both were very good. It's not Ruth's Chris, but not bad for the money.

They don't take reservations but I highly recommend call ahead. Getting here can be a bear, woodruff road traffic is the worst in the state. The Outlaw Ribeye is fantastic. I wish they would go back to the basket for the bread instead of the board.

The wait for a table was long. my steak had to be sent back because it wasn't cooked to the correct temperature (I ordered medium and it can back as rare). The rest of the food was good.

Meh...that really describes my overall experience with this place. I got a gift card for Christmas and I am honestly not sure if I would ever be back to this place without one. My partner and I had two trips to this place. The first time we intended to use the gift card and forgot it, so we headed back a second time. I should probably mention that I am not generally a fan of chain steakhouses, so it is not surprising that I did not care for this place. The inside is very typical for a steakhouse. It's a little dark inside, with lots of brown and Western-themed decor. This place does appear to be clean and well maintained. So, our first visit here was pretty darn terrible. We arrived on a weekend for a late lunch on a Saturday. We waited more than a half hour for a table. And why, you ask? Not because they were lacking tables, but because they lacked wait staff. They had a whole waiting room of people on a busy Saturday, and seriously they only had one waiter working when we walked in?? Finally more waiters arrived and people started to get seated. Because everyone had just been seated, it was a period of time before our waitress got to us. She was apparently not happy about coming into work because she was very apathetic about our service. We started off with the Texas Tonion, which was just ok. The batter was soggy rather than crispy, and overall it was just disappointing. It tasted very frozen. I ordered a flat iron steak (medium) and my partner ordered the prime rib (medium). Our waitress disappeared and did not make it back for a while, and someone else brought our food out. The prime rib was cooked more toward medium rare, but it was tender and flavorful. When I cut into my steak, it was rare - I mean VERY rare. It was seared on the very outside, bright red on the inside, and not very warm. I waited for our waitress to come back, and when 10 minutes passed and I didn't see her, I flagged someone else down. Another ten minutes later, the manager on duty brought it out and it was finally cooked to medium. The waitress came back shortly after that to drop off the check and promptly disappear again. I was not sure if I even cared about coming back, as this was a terrible experience. Fast forward a few months, and we decided that maybe our first visit was just a terrible fluke and we still had our gift card to use. Again, we ventured here on a Saturday afternoon. First off, we were seated immediately and our server came over within minutes. He was very friendly and attentive. We started with the Wild West Shrimp, which I had expected to be grilled shrimp served with the peppers. However, it was actually small, fried shrimp. The batter on them was light, a little crispy, and had a great peppery seasoning. The peppers that came with it were both brined, not fried, and were a tasty complement to the shrimp. This was the best thing we had here. For main courses, I ordered the rancher's sirloin and my partner ordered the regular sirloin. I ordered mine medium and he ordered his medium well. The sirloin steaks were decent quality, not overly grisly or tough. My partner's sirloin had a small amount of seasoning on it and wasn't bad. He had a salad with it, which you can't really mess up. The rancher's sirloin came with one slice of bacon on top and one sunny-side egg with some weird sauce that was a combination of a brown gravy and barbecue sauce. I didn't care much for it. The egg was cooked a little crispy, but sadly, the star of the show was the bacon. The bacon was perfectly cripsy and a little smoky. Yum! I ordered the Parmesan garlic fries to go with it. I think they might need to turn up their oil temperature or something, because the fries were really soggy. Very disappointing. So, this last visit was probably more like a 3 star trip, but I just can't get that terrible first trip out of my head. If I do come back, maybe I would have better luck trying their burgers? Overall, this is definitely a "meh" kind of place.
