Found a wonderful new restaurant. Last night was the first time we dined at Koi Asian Bistro. The décor is beautiful and the food was very fresh and delicious. I had the ginger stir fried chicken and my friend had the spicy beef. Our server was friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable. A plus is that they are open on Sundays. Looking forward to a return visit soon.

We had a wonderful birthday party at Koi. I had read the reviews and decided to try something new. So glad I did. The reviews were spot on. The ambience was lovely, the server was extremely helpful in suggestions, and the food appeared very quickly. Such beautiful presentations! Asian food with panache. Kudos to the chef and wait staff. Went there last night with the boyfriend after perusing the menu and delighted to find DUMPLINGS. I love dumplings and they offer them steamed or fried. We opted for steamed. They were delicious and the sauce that came with it was very very tasty. Boyfriend got the basil beef stir fry which was fantastic -- really. Service was great: I was happy to see a familiar face from Lime Leaf in Spartanburg was our waiter - Jason! I got tofu fried rice which was tasty. I felt it needed more soy sauce but I have an aggressive salt palate. We got the flight of hot sauces to accompany and our soy sauce was served in a cute little tea pot. We really enjoyed it, but agreed that we could have just ordered three plates of dumplings and a side salad and been thrilled (but we had dumplings on the brain hardcore). Best Chinese we've found in Greenville. I can assure you we will be back! The boyfriend and I LOVE Asian food and had been talking about the lack of quality in the area and BOOM - magically Koi appears. Can't wait to eat those dumplings again!

Koi was a Pleasant surprise. This is a outstanding place to eat in my book. It's a step above the rest of the Asian places in Greenville. Excellent service, outstanding food presentation. I had the beef & Broccoli, it was amazing and very fresh ingredients. Good place for a romantic dinner or and everyday place if your up for it.

Amazing environment. Great food. Perfect for an evening out. Sesame chicken was a little on the sweet side but the fried rice was excellent.

Took our Chinese son out for a birthday dinner (my wife is Chinese as well). It was delicious from start to finish. Parang curry was exceptional as was the eggplant appetizer. Really good, nice place settings, enjoyable background music. Owner very friendly and helpful!

Ordered take out the first time and because the food was so good we came back to dine, not disappointed! Service was excellent, prices were fair, and the food was once again outstanding, highly recommend! It does lack the road frontage and I fear it may not last so definitely check this place out if you have the opportunity. The ambiance is second to none.

This beautifully laid out restaurant opened its doors a few months ago. Although the same spot has proven difficult for former ventures, the current tenants have wisely unleashed the restaurant's full potential with inspiring Asian décor and elegant spaces. At first the food was very good. After our fourth visit, we decided we would never come back (Despite the $5 coupon they offer). - Drinks. They have a very limited selection of beers. - Appetizers. Good selection. Served elegantly in appropriately sized portions. - Food is best described in the words of Forrest Gump as being "like a box of chocolates....you never know what you're gonna get"....even though I ordered the same dish three out of four visits (obviously the last being the deal breaker). - Service. Well, it makes you wonder if the servers know they work for tips. - Ambienance. Elegant and airy. Go there for Tea or Sake. Those two won't disappoint you.

After my horrible experience with Dive N Boar (see my yelp review for them... drama!) I was a bit reluctant to get out there and try something new. However, my kitchen was empty, it was Friday, and why not! I had driven by Koi many times, why not give it a go? Before we got in the door we were impressed with the exterior pond/fountain area. Then, the interior design hits you as you go inside. Everything flows together so well, with lots of little touches that really make a good first impression. We had the spring rolls (light and refreshing!), dumplings (delicious), and coconut chicken soup (unique) before the spicy beef entree. It was perfectly spiced, and all of the ingredients were very fresh tasting. I had jasmine tea with it which was also good. In addition, everything was well priced and appropriately portioned. If you find yourself in the area do try it!

We stopped by while they were still remodeling and found out when their soft opening was, so we were the first customers. The decor is fantastic. Great upscale vibe is great considering you don't have to fight traffic to get here! We had the green curry and thin Singapore noodles. Everything was delicious and the lunch pricing is right on target.

Koi Asian Bistro definitely surprised me. The decor... The wait staff... The drinks... The food... Everything! It was all super fantastic. I frequent Greenville cuisine often and this tops them all. I have a new favorite restaurant! We started the night with a couple of drinks, a refreshingly crisp Pinot Grigio and an exotic Thai Basil Lemonade. Then came the food... First, the Eggplant Blossom appetizer tasted as amazing as it looked. Then the Volcano Beef and Hibachi Red Snapper came out shortly after that and let me tell you Oh Em Gee, it was absolutely delicious. As I was watching the Volcano Beef come out literally on fire I could also hear the sizzle of the Hibachi from a mile away. They were both scrumptious and they had me hooked on Koi right away. My server was well educated about everything they had to offer and gave me more insight on the delicious food I was devouring. Everything complemented each other and I just can't wait for my next visit. I highly recommend that you all give this place a try. I took the time to write this review because my experience here was truly awesome.

Koi Asian Bistro replaced Tuk Tuk Thai. Ambience - Very classy atmosphere and well designed interiors! Food - Food ordered was very good. Tried the Koi grilled chicken, well cooked with great flavor Service - We were a group of close to 20 people. Food came out quick. There were a couple of extra orders that came our way(which we did not order), but overall the service was fast and very courteous. Must mention the pleasant lady who described the dishes to us and coaxed one of our friends to break into a song :) Enjoyed the food, ambience and atmosphere. We will be back for sure!

What a delightful restaurant. The owners have done a fabulous job with the decor. It is warm and inviting. The service was prompt and attentive. Both of us ordered the Pad Thai because, for me, that is a good first time measure of a place's food quality when comparing to similar eateries. It was a generous portion and very tasty. Prices were reasonable. We will definitely be returning here regularly.

What a gem in Greenville! We needed a place like that with the asian touch! When you are still outside the nice sitting area and fresh flowers just invite you. You step inside and can't miss the contemporary fireplace the clean and open space, still has a few areas if you need more privacy. If you want fine dining without overpaying this is the place. We started with a few apetizers- dumplings, spring rolls but the surprise was the blooming eggplant with mango sauce. The coconut soup was so fine and fresh- and served beautifully in a high class cup with plate. Their silverware even is for a 5 star restaurant. I would recommend the Panang crispy duck , lobster and chicken with fresh veggies. I've been to all other asian restaurants in town like P.F. Chang but please you don't know what you are missing if you don't visit KOI!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
