Went with my brother, I had the gyro, he the gyro plate. Both good, the menu didn't state that the solo gyro came with fries, so that was nice. Fresh, and not afraid of the spice cabinet. My brothers plate was huge. Almost enough for 2. Bit pricey, but good.

I give the greeting at the door five stars however our server was a three. He took our order and brought it to us and that was it. And it wasn't even busy. The chicken souvlaki was good. Served with crinkle fries. Pita was warm and soft. Two pita sandwiches w/fries and two teas was $20. I left full and satisfied. The decor is Greek but neat and clean.

This is the Greek restaurant I've been looking for! They have the requisite vertical rotisseries necessary for properly-cooked gyro meat. I got the combination plate. More than enough food for two, but I was hungry! A big pile of gyro meat, properly cooked and trimmed, two pieces of spanokopita, a piece of moussaka, three fat dolmades, a piece of pasticio, a pile of pillowy pita bread, with a soup/salad, and a side. Everything was perfect! The place is clean and comfortable, with friendly and attentive staff.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is bright and welcoming, with some shady outdoor seating. The food was just okay. I love avgolemono soup, and would not get theirs again. I had a gyro salad, which was fine for a basic lunch salad. My husband had the keftedes, and the meatballs were tasty, but the pilaf was disappointingly bland. Not a bad meal at all, just not anything special that made it stand out.

Not tasty at all. Everything was blurry and flavorless and greasy. No heart. I will never go back to this restaurant yeah not only was the food nasty but the attitude of the staff and owner was the same.

My husband and I are vacationing in Greenville, and even though Main Street has a number of highly rated restaurants - my husband was craving Greek food. I turned to my handy dandy Yelp app and found that this spot was within walking distance, but was hesitant as it was rated so low. Since a craving is a craving, we ended up ignoring the reviews and walking the short distance to get here - boy am I glad we did! The restaurant is quaint, and the ambiance is very charming. The artwork and soft music helps transport you to the Mediterranean and the southern hospitality really shines. We started off with an order of flaming saganaki, our server and another member of the kitchen staff came to our table to prepare it table side. The fire blazed on for longer than I've seen before, which worried me a bit, but it ended up resulting in a really wonderful crust forming around the cheese. We've had a lot of Saganaki before in a number of different states - this was definitely a different consistency, but by far the best tasting. Entrees are served with a choice of either soup or salad - so that came out next. My husband exclaimed that the Greek dressing was amongst the best he's ever had, and my avgolemeno soup was a bit "meatier" than what I've experienced elsewhere, but I found it to be quite tasty. We ended our meals with the Gyro Platter, and they were TASTY! Copious amounts of tzatziki sauce, enough pita to go around, some feta, and perfectly cooked lamb made this platter quite pleasing. Mine came with a side of Greek pasta salad - the one item that fell flat (I feel like the pasta was a bit overcooked and a bit more seasoning could be added). My husband had the Greek green beans , and he's still talking about them. All in all, we were very pleased with our experience here. If we are back in the area, we will certainly visit again.

Great lunch spot in the middle of downtown, but with easier parking than the Main St restaurants. The menu is full of fresh and healthy options. The dining room is spotless and the service is quick and friendly.

Very close to 4 stars... The only reason I didn't give it 4 stars is because you can't substitute a greek salad for fries. I had a delicious gyro with the best lamb I've had with a couple fries. I ended up ordering a good greek salad because I really wanted one. I didn't need the fries. Great place though! Will return

Gyro salad was good. It came with a vinaigrette type dressing. I asked for a side of tzatziki sauce. I gave 3 stars because the waitress was not very friendly and gave me the wrong change back. I didn't say anything because it was only 53 cents. It really only irritated me because she wasn't friendly; acted like I was inconveniencing her. I won't sit in her station next time.

I want to love this place but I think they might be a bit challenged. The menu and food were ok but not amazing by any standard. Not amazing by the standard of our 10 year old which is telling. My recommendation is that they step up the food quality which would include the quality of the ingredients. This seems to be falling into to category of food delivered by truck and not anything with added value at a local level. I'm hopeful that they will step it up.

Iama Critic Rating - Greektown Grille - 3 Stars 400 East Mcbee Avenue, Suite 101, Greenville, SC Our Experience: Greektown Grill is definitely a step or two up from almost all the Upstate Greek establishments. And they are not afraid of spices and that is a very rare and good thing. Almost all of the food we ordered was of superb quality and presentation. But we had a problem with being overcharged and that always costs one star, so our four star food came with a three star experience, and then there was that horrid service, which we rate separately and does not affect our overall rating. The Service - 2 Stars (14% tip) Our Greektown Grille guest check suggested tips starting at 18% and going up to 22%. But our waitress was not deserving of any of those lofty percentages. The service we received was below average, and with average service being so poor now days, that is pretty hard to do. Our waitress did little more than fill our glasses. She was not attentive, helpful or social and spent the majority of her time hiding somewhere. What is it with young people today? They seem to have no social ability or interaction skills. And then they complain when they do not earn top dollar. For her poor skills and effort we left an undeserved 13% $8.52 tip. We typically provide 20% or more for 5 star service on the pre-tax portion of the bill, 18% for 4, 15% for 3, 12% for 2 and 0% for 1 star service. The Food: $9.45 Pan Fried Calamari - 3 Stars Wow, this price is almost as much as they charge at Carraba's which serves incredible four star calamari. However the portion at Greektown is smaller and the preparation is not nearly as nice. Don't get me wrong, it is good, but I would order the Horiatiki Salad instead. $9.85 Large Horiatiki Salad - 4 Stars This is my kind of dinner salad! It comes with tomatoes, red onions, imported feta cheese, cucumbers, Kalamata olives, pepperoncini, and green bell peppers, all the good stuff without any horrid iceberg lettuce. At almost $10 this salad is a real money maker for Greektown. $14.25 Gyro Dinner - 5 stars This price matches the price at Gyro Express in Chicago, which serves the best and most monumental gyro I have ever tasted. So how does this gyro match up? It is like comparing Marilyn Monroe to Twiggy! To compare, Greektown Grille would have to add a pound of gyro meat. However Greektown Grille is not in Chicago, it is in Greenville, SC, and nobody in town comes close to matching this fabulous gyro. Five Stars! Now if they would just stop cutting their pitas into tiny pieces, I HATE that! $24.95 Combination Platter - 4 Stars This platter costs more than I sometimes spend for entire meals for two people at other restaurants, but sometimes quality is simply worth the price. This combination platter comes with mousaka, pastitsio, spanakotiropita, a gyro, dolmades, pita and tzatziki, and your choice of soup or salad and one side item. God only knows which item was which, but Greektown Grille did not have one of the items so they gave me more of another. I wish I had wrote down which item was which, and the Greektown Grille menu or website was no help, but it was all very tasty and flavorful. Except for my side of Greek oven potatoes. The lemon flavor was overwhelming making the potatoes inedible. It was the only item on our table that was not great. Total Bill: $79.00 for TWO adults including tax, an over-generous tip, and THREE $2.25 soda fountain drinks. This is significantly more than you are likely to spend per person. Final Thoughts: While doing our cost analysis and comparison for this review, we discovered that our Greektown Grille check indicated five customers and we were charged for three soda fountain drinks despite the fact that only Chef Iama Critic and his guest critic were at the table. Sadly this sort of error always cost a star.

One of the greatest Greek establishments I have visited. It's a beautiful restaurant located just off Main Street in downtown Greenville. The menu selection is wonderful, the food is fresh, and the wait staff demonstrates true Southern hospitality. Be sure to try the gyro dinner platter and the green beans with tomato sauce - to die for. Also, by far the best Greek dressing in the Southeast.

This is the absolute best restaurant in Greenville. It has a family feel and the food is outstanding. Not on the main strip, but well worth it. The chicken souvlaki is amazing, and their salads are the best anywhere.

Looking for a good Greek meal? Head over to this restaurant. We began with the flaming cheese appetizer and kept going all the way through the cheesecake with baklava on top. They had Rosita wine and the Greek equivalent to Türkish Rakı. Outside seating is available!

Gyro could use more tzatziki for sure. Other than that place is nice and clean and staff is very nice

Very clean , and comfortable , with nice decorations , and a nice "new restaurant " feel. The food was a bit over priced for the quantity recieved ( Small portions ) , and about par taste wise , for the Greek scene in Greenville. We tried Pork and Chicken Souvlaki Pitas . Pork was good but not much taste in meat nor Taziki sauce and no feta cheese on pita. Chicken had way too much Lemon flavor in it for me , and wife did not enjoy it either. They did come with about 6 french fries on the side and a pickle slice garnish. I guess we are still looking for a place in Greenville that gets serious about the Greek flavor profiles , and isn't afraid to actually dance on our taste buds ! Wish I had better news for you !
