I am from ny and since moving to the south constantly struggle to find good authentic ny pizza. I have been to Frankie's at least 4 times now and the pizza is excellent. As good as any I've had back home in NY. Glad these guys have found a home in the greenville area!

Their pizza crust is very good. It has a perfect crispness. I had the margherita pizza and it was amazing. The price is a bit expensive but worth it. They charge for bottled water (only water option) and only allow two refills for dine - in which seems a bit like nickel and diming. Staff was also very respectful. Overall a pretty authentic NY pizzeria experience.

Staying in town for business, was craving pizza and didn't want to drive to get it, found this place on Yelp and so glad I did! Frankie's is delicious and the prices are fantastic. The crust is perfect balance of not too thin and not too thick, if I lived here this would be my go to pizza place for sure.

I stayed at one of the nearby hotels and decided to walk over to grab some dinner. I got the chicken tender salad and an order of garlic knots. I waited ...and waited ... and waited ... and waited for my order. There was one customer eating there and a couple of people came in (and left) to pick up their orders to go. I waited some more. No one said "your order will be up in a moment," no one made eye contact. Just when I started to walk up to inquire about my order, I saw one of the guys grab a sack from the top of the oven and then he nodded at me and said "your order's ready." Seriously? I waited there for about 30 minutes and my garlic knots were there all the time? Wow. So, the service was slow, the Southern hospitality I experienced elsewhere was nowhere to be found and the salad was a salad. The garlic knots were pretty tasty, but not tasty enough to get me back there again.

I went here today for some pizza, because friend of mine said they have good pizza. However I ordered 2 sliced. they are not excellent like what my friend said. one of my slices didn't have the topping I ordered. on the receipt they charged .50cents for bacon but I didn't see it on my pizza. a little bit of Spanish was .75 cents. plain cheese pizza slice it self was 2.25 without topping. never be back worth choice ever

The best of the BEST. They say I'm a regular. I'm not sure if that's true. 2-3 times a week seems normal enough to me. I love Frankies! Great people too - that's a big part of it. I like to spend my money with places and especially people that I like.

Being from New Jersey originally, I have not had pizza that reminded me this much of home. Get the white pizza, you won't regret it. Love this place!!

I just ordered 13 pies for my guests and the pies were awesome! Everything was delivered to our hotel and everything arrived on time and was hot. It was NY style

Good pizza and it's just like from NYC where I live. Good service, good specials, cool dining room. Looking forward to trying other things on the menu.

Read the reviews and decided to try it since we prefer non-chain pizzas. SERVICE: Had delivery at the hotel, order was very pricey for two pies and a dozen wings, they got the toppings totally wrong on one pizza, even though we paid extra for them. TASTE: Wings were awesome an toppings were tasty, crust is very dry and sauce is sparse. Try somewhere else first, all other factors being equal, if you are looking for a NY PIE!

Good pizza. Just a heads up tho. When you are delivering to someone staying at a nearby hotel, you can pretty much assume they need utensils. Kind if tough to eat my antipasta with my hands.

Just moved to the area and this is some of the best pizza we've had in years. Staff was courteous and the food was on time when we showed up. We loved the special pie and the Frankie Jr was a perfect pie for kids!

I won't dream about this place, but I will definitely eat here again, which is certainly saying something for me. The portions are generous, the salad seemed really fresh and it was prepared quickly which I appreciate. In this area, there are 6 pizza places that we can think of just in a two block radius, that means there's high competition for pizza so we're looking forward to seeing continued great service and quality from Frankie's.

LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!! We stopped in last Saturday and had some slices of cheese and pepperoni. We also ordered a salad to share. First the pizza, AMAZING! I'm so excited to have found this place. I wanted to mention the salad as well. Fresh everything and great dressing. This is rare at a pizza place! I can't wait to go back and try some other things! Oh, and the owner is super nice too! We live off of Augusta Rd. but will definitely make the trip out to the burbs to see Frankie and his wonderful restaurant again! mmmmmwwwaaahh!

This is really awesome pizza! Love it! And the garlic knits are yummy! The only thing missing is green olives as a pizza topping. We keep asking and they haven't done it. Otherwise, it's great.

This was our choice (out of 4 places we narrowed it down to) for pizza in Greenville and I'm glad we picked it. The pizza was awesome, the crust was really good and we asked for light sauce (not a fan of it running everywhere while trying to eat) and they used the perfect amount. We ordered a 16 inch pepperoni and ended up taking some home (2 of us) and we also got an order of garlic knots. I wasn't really a huge fan of them, they were kind of greasy and there was actually minced garlic on top but it wasn't cooked very well. We walked in at 5 and placed our order (only people in the place) but didn't get our pizza out until 5:30, we did notice that another group that came in about 20 minutes after us got their pizza right after ours (so maybe a 10 minute wait for them), not sure how that happened. If you order water they give you a cup to get ice then they fill your cup from the kitchen sink....I was a little hesitant but it wasn't awful. The bathroom was really nice and clean which is a plus. So basically if you want good pizza but don't mind waiting and drinking sink water I'd give it a try! I asked the BF if he felt like it was a 3 star or a 4 star and he said 4 because of the quality of the pizza (I probably would've chose 3 for having to wait).

The pizza is as close to New York style as we've found down here. It's not our favorite pizza in the area. But if you like a little New York attitude with your New York pizza it's the place to go. For me, I came south to get away from the attitude. Overall I prefer Jets, Sciortinos or Bertolo's pizza all very close by.

No review since they claimed my pizza was not ordered. Said no record of my call. My wife asked to use the phone to call me and he said no way you can use my phone. She called from the car and I called them back. It was Bill the mgr who took my order and was a jerk to my wife. Zero is my rating!

Frankies has the best cold hoagies I have found in SC! The Italian is awesome! My family has ordered a half dozen times and each order has always been correct, on time and fresh! While that should be the norm, unfortunately this area lacks quality restaurants. Leave it to a Yankee to do things right, welcome to Greer Frankie & family!

Came down to visit family, if anyone wants a true taste of what NY pizza is, this place is a must go. Fantastic pizza, friendly workers, Soprano pictures on the wall what more could you ask for. Whenever I come back will definitely be going to Frankie's!!!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
