One of the few places I miss in Greenville. Evidently this burger chain started out in Washington, and somehow found it's way down south, and I'm sure glad that it did. While I'm usually not the type to hype up chains, this burger joint sure hits the spot. The menu is almost as simple as In N Out. They pretty much have burgers (and hot dogs if I'm remembering correctly), and fries. However, once you choose the burger, you can choose among the many toppings to put on your burger- standard lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, cheese, but then you can also add sauteed onions or mushrooms, steak sauce, bbq sauce, and of course BACON. Who doesn't love bacon? They have two sizes of fries, small and large. Small is good enough for two people, and then some. Come hungry or you will be overwhelmed by the amount of food they throw your way. When you come in, they have bags (I mean economy size bags) of peanuts you can munch on while you're waiting. You won't be waiting long, but still a nice little snack. The good- portions, tasty burgers, fries The bad- uh..... The ugly- sometimes this place can get a bit crowded, but they clear the line pretty well. Definitely a must try in the upstate. I dare say this is the best burger you will find in "G-Vegas"

Five Guys is always spot on! There was a while when they first opened that I ate at this place every day for a couple weeks straight...Some of the best burgers I've ever had! Warning: one order of fries will serve 2-3 people. We made the mistake of getting an order of fries for each person in our party the first time we went there. I'm glad I found one on Long Island!!!

These guys are based out of the D.C. area, but there is not a better place in Greenville to get a fast, delicious burger. The menu is very simple (regular, small, cheese or not ... then choose your toppings - it's a BURGER, after all). And what goes better with a burger than a side of fresh-cut fries? The fries are almost as amazing as the burgers. Alas, everything in moderation, folks ... too much of a good thing is not a good thing...but if you're in the mood to stuff your face, Five Guys is the place for you!

If not for the burgers, go for the awesome fries. Amazing. However, they do have salted in the shell peanuts in the restaurant so if you have a peanut allergy I would not advise you go.

Five Guys is one of the best burgers i've ever had. Hand formed beef patties and fresh ingredients. It's very simple and cooked made to order. I have nothing bad to say, but it would be cool if you were open 24hrs. Think about it. The location is great too. It's near Haywood Mall. You can go shopping and grab a burger afterwards.

If all it takes to make you happy is a handful of peanuts ok. As for the burgers what a load of crap. My burger was the size of a postage stamp and mashed to the point there was no juices!!! Over rated to say the very least!!!

Something new I noticed was the option of getting my fries Cajun style - a spicy seasoning that has a little kick. Loved it! My order: Burger "All the way + bbq sauce" Little fries I always enjoy the unlimited salted peanuts while my order is being made. My order was perfect, the cashier was pleasant and cheerful.

If your looking for a quick burger but aren't a fan of fast good burgers like me then to his is place to go. The burgers are always delicious and tasty. They have plenty of toppings to choose from which should please anyone's palate. My personal favorite is the cheeseburger with onions and BBQ sauce!!

Pro: Not too often will a burger joint get 5 stars, but 5 Guys should be called "5 Stars". No other burger joint does what they do. I know... I have tried just about all of them and nothing compares. Do you want real meat? Not processed, frozen patties passed off as real burgers? Do you want good service? If yes, then this is the place for you. Their menu is simple. The food is wonderful. The service is really good. It's clean. They always have posted where their food is coming from. There are no surprises here Right on the wall it states clearly; where the potatoes (for the fries) are coming from for that day, and that their burgers are cook juicy and well done. That's all that needs to be said. The party's are scooped from a ground beef mound and squished down onto the grill. There is certainly nothing pre-processed about that. Cons: This branch does not have the Freestyle Coke Machine. But that's the only draw back.

I have been to Five guys burgers all across the US, better than Mc D's or Jack's and usually great service. All have been 5 star quality and perhaps this one might be too, I left because of the rude employee who insisted at staring/glaring at myself and my wife and making rude gestures and comments when my wife would ask a question as a first timer at five guys, she was more than entitled. in their defense it was 15 minutes before closing, we were the first in a closing time rush, we witnessed the gestures, watched her burn toast as she sat there in disgust, perhaps from trying to get out to grab some last minute gifts, or just disgusted that she was working(half-assed) blackening and burning buns. I thought to myself, if these burgers are starting on this disgusting path with no love being put into them, then surely It will not live up to the hype that I created and with the already nasty taste lingering from the thought of the nearly constipated face from the bun burner, it would never live up to the quality of the five guys burgers I have come to love over the last year. With that said I am in town for another week, If that urge for a great tasting burger comes on I might just head over there, if not ...well they surely deserve the low star rating especially when the supervisor just shrugs off a valid complaint. If I did not make it clear, service here is horrible, rude and outright aggresive towards complaints. I believe in second chances, this review has a chance to change for the better, but the outlook is bleek.

wow. choices, and lots of it on top of a quality burger - awesome. they have their accolades all over the walls - zagat rated, best burger for nyc, washington, etc - but being in south carolina - they are just establishing themselves as the best burger joint in the state. burgers are simple and complex - a regular order of a burger automatically is a double patty (you can order a "baby" order and get a traditional single patty burger), and then your choice of like 12 different condiments - i had mine with lettuce, tomatoes, A-1 sauce, sauted mushrooms, grilled onions and blue cheese crumbles...Dang. i also got a side of "cajun" fries and a coke - awesome! look for this chain - they could very well be the next big thang.

5 Guys is great. One of the best burgers I've ever had. The menu is simple, atmosphere is relaxed, and food is great. Doesn't taste like a chain at all. I would go here over any other fast food burger joint.

I love Five Guys. I specifically love this location more than the one on Pleasantburg due to the overall cleanliness and friendliness of the employees. The menu is simple as they basically let you choose from a small or large cheeseburger or hamburger. Then you build your burger with various toppings and sauces which they have a lot choose from. My burger was juicy and the cheese was perfectly melted and clung to the foil just right. I got the little Cajun fries and loved them. They have the perfect amount of kick from the seasoning. In my opinion Five Guys still makes some of the best fries in the fast food industry. One thing that was kind of a let down was the service. I sat outside to enjoy the nice weather and I kept an eye on the guy at the counter as they usually call out your number and you pick up your order. I was kind of expecting him to bring it out to me since it wasn't that busy but he just glanced at me and nodded his head. This wasn't really a make or break moment for me. I will keep coming back!
