Went there for Easter lunch with another couple. The service was great and the food was fantastic. Be prepared to spend some money, but it is well worth it. My steak was done to perfection, as was everyone else's. Desert was fabulous. Will go back again for sure.

Everything--and I mean everything--was right here. The service is excellent and the food is outstanding. Usually there's at least one or two things wrong, even in a good establishment. That was not the case here. I can absolutely recommend Firebirds.

What an excellent restaurant! I went to this location with my Mom for my Birthday just after they opened. The food, staff was excellent. They have a great menu, excellent ambiance (I love the soft comfy pillows in the booths) and the smell of the wood fired grills reminds me of walking into a cabin in the Adirondacks. If you live in Greenville or are coming to Greenville, I highly recommend this restaurant! Excellent!

I would like to preface this update by saying: I adore Firebirds every day of the week EXCEPT yesterday. I go frequently-for lunch, dinner, and a few times for happy hour. This was a bad day. The absolute tinest chicken tenders arrived nearly twenty-five minutes after the ordered was placed. They were warm and dry as if they were cooked at lunch time. I was so hungry that I ate them in spite of that. The restaurant was very slow, so there should have been no excuses. The female bartender was nice . The young guy with dark hair that arrived around 5 was not people friendly. Tony is always nice. Subpar food for the price. There are many new restaurants coming to town so i will take a break from Firebirds for a minute.

I had a really great experience tonight. I just needed to get away by myself for a moment after being with my family all week for the holidays. Michael was my waiter. The only way I can describe him is pleasant and present! I just came for a light meal and dessert. Although he was fairly busy with larger parties everything was timed to perfection. I really enjoyed myself.

Love Firebirds! Great atmosphere! I like sit outside, weather permitting. Salmon is too die for! I got mine cooked as chef recommended. Service great, fun happy hour! Enough said! GO!!!

My wife took me there for my birthday and was very impressed with everything. I had been to one in Richmond and enjoyed that one, but this one even better. The service was great and they cooked my wife's salmon and my ribeye perfectly! Also get the lobster queso for starters it was great and if we were at home we probably would've used our fingers to clean the bowl! Overall for a chain restaurant it was a great experience.

Went there today with my husband. I got the grilled shrimp and strawberry salad. It was AMAZING! One of the best salads I've ever had, honestly. The service was great too. They were friendly and were on top of their game. My husband got the bacon wrapped filet and wasn't a fan. He said that he'd had better filets elsewhere. However, it was cooked just as he asked He did like the parmesan mashed potatoes though. I'm still giving it 5 stars though cause we had a great experience and my salad was just perfect. I can't wait to go back!!

The best way to describe my Firebirds experience is 'great service, food is average at best'. Overall, the experience here was good, but with so many great restaurants to choose from in Greenville, I doubt I'll be returning to Firebirds often, of my own accord. I had the special, which was steak medallions and shrimp. It came with a BBQ sauce, but I asked for that on the side and I'm glad I did, because the steak was good, but I felt like it was almost OVER-flavored. Additionally, the shrimp were supposed to be 'jumbo' but they were pretty small. My meal was supposed to come with mashed potatoes, but they brought me a baked potato instead. What was nice is that when I mentioned this, they brought a side of mashed potatoes to make up for it even though I told them the mistake was okay. I also tried the green chile mac-and-cheese side dish, but I wouldn't recommend. Rather than having just a slight green chile flavor, it tasted more like those than it did like mac-and-cheese. It was definitely too much. Even though I'm not a cheesecake person, I also tried the creme brulee cheesecake, and if you ARE a cheesecake person I think you'd really enjoy it because even I had to admit that it was pretty tasty. If you're looking for a nicer dinner somewhere on Woodruff Road, you may want to give Firebirds a try, but as I said I won't be going out of my way to eat there again anytime soon - not with all of the other options in Greenville.

Firebirds is very good. We had a lovely dinner with a great server Brianna. First the wine selection was good, not too pricey. The dinner entrees are large enough to split. The Kobe meatloaf was delicious. The grilled salmon with miso glaze and sesame seeds was very good. I wish we could get it cooked a little rarer. I had it medium and it was fine. I hate to say it...the deep-fried spinach was very interesting and of course what is not to like with the mashed potatoes. Two people, 2 entrees, a starter and 2 8oz glasses of wine and dessert, $89 without tip. Nice fun place with very good food. I definitely will return.

Amazing dinner ! PERFECT service, everything we ordered was great. Kobe meatloaf, salmon, steak, key lime pie, choc cake, pineapple martini........ Will go back. SOON!

Awesome just as good as the one in charlotte. The best cheese cake ever. Great job. Keep up the good food standards.

The smell of the wood fire as your walking up to the door makes your mouth begin to water. Inside very nice atmosphere very tasteful upscale steakhouse type of restaurant. Our server was awesome very knowledgeable about all the food we started it with the lobster and spinach queso it was delicious and plenty to share. My husband had the tenderloin kebab meat melted in your mouth vegetables roasted to perfection it came with the Parmesan mashed potatoes which were delicious. I had the coconut shrimp which was awesome came with a tortilla coleslaw which was out of this world I recommend getting it with any meal you have, I do not recommend the French fries. We tried the chicken tortilla soup it was good but if you're looking for a traditional tortilla soup it's not ,it's more of a chicken chili. all in all great dinner great experience I highly recommend them.

Firebird's is new and among the many upscale casual restaurants in the Greenville area. I was happy to see the Firebird's sign go up. Having visited the South Park/Charlotte location a few times, I made my first visit with positive expectations. Firebirds did not disappoint. The restaurant is quite elegant making fine use of accent lights, wood trim, brick and related.. The wine list is extensive and wall behind the bar is visually appealing. One gets the sense that Firebirds places a big emphasis on customer service and employee development. The staff, as in Charlotte was very professional and welcoming. Service was prompt and my diet coke glass was replaced with a fresh refill each time it hit the half way point. These guys aim to please. The menu has something for everyone. It includes burgers, pizza, salads, and an impressive variety of main entrees to include fish, steaks, and pasta. I'm adding Firebirds to my small list of favorites.

It was really good. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. The only negative remark I have to make is that our bread came out after another table was seated and got their bread. I got the steak sandwich.it was very delicious and cooked to my satisfaction. I like mine cooked rare. The fries were good but could use a few more. It filled me up. We also got the lobster queso dip and the cheese cake creme brulee. All was very delicious.

Quality does not even come close to what it should be for the price. I went on Friday Nov 26, and ordered the Sesame crusted Salmon with the standard sides of mashed potatoes and spinach. Well, the fish itself was cooked properly, but the sides were terrible and for twenty something bucks for a main what?? In particular I have to mention the spinach. Essentially whoever made this took fresh spinach leaves and then poured hot oil all over them so when they arrived on the table they were heavy and waterlogged with oil and had lost all semblance of something fresh or light to accompany a fish dish. Have you tried eating this concoction, Firebirds chef(s)? It was really bad. I didn't even finish it. Total waste of $. On the plus side, the restaurant has good ambience and the servers were friendly and polite. But the food....

Sat at table 1/1 with a party of 4 and Charlene (4074) was our server. She was wonderful and a delight. The food was great - cooked to perfection. I suggest the wings and the spinach lobster dip for appetizers.

Pure five stars for this place! I just had wood fires salmon and i must say that as a huge fish fan its been a long time since i tasted a salmon this good. Veggies were fresh and delicious and their homemade lemonade is the bomb. Staff is outrageously nice and sweet and the bathrooms are also super clean. Amazing place, definitely coming back

Wish they had healthier options on the menu. Went with a large group which usually makes me worry but the services was great. They had two servers for our table and everything went perfectly. Had the chicken tortilla soup, it was really good!

First time at Firebirds. My wife and I decided to eat there at the recommendation of some friends. We were told to go on the website and make reservations. This is a must. We made them about a week out and had many time choices. About three days prior and the only times available were 4:45 PM or 9:15 PM. When we arrived we were immediately seated which was nice. The decor and atmosphere were very warm and welcoming. The bar area while a bit small had ample room for guests and TVs set up for the bar tops to view. The menu is rather limited (appetizers, salads, steaks, sandwiches, and entries) but what it lacks for variety it makes up for in quality. There are about 8-10 cuts of steak, about 5-6 entries, salads and sandwiches. They have a decent beer selection but nothing like some of the other establishments in Greenville. Only about 6 on tap which is fine unless you want a variety. My wife and i started out with an appetizer, the onion rings. They came with a very nice blue cheese dipping sauce. The only issue was the blue cheese crumbs were massive and we had to use a fork to top the onion rings. Honestly, that is the only thing that I can even remotely complain about considering the food. For the main course, my wife had the Fillet with the mashed potatoes. I had the prime rib with the green chile Mac and Cheese. These were both on recommendation from our server. They were amazing. If you are looking for a place with great good this is it. The good here easily is 5 stars and the price reflects it. The reason for the 3 stars is due to the service. While nothing was bad (water was refilled, food came out hot and was decently timed) the service did not reflect the quality of the food. We were not given the customary bread all the others were given. We had an appetizer so alone this would have not bothered us. The runner (person designated to drop the good at the table) while not rude or anything was lack luster. He did not ask if we needed anything or to make sure if everything was good. He just dropped the plates and left. Again, not bad just not what we expected. And alone not a problem. Our server did everything we asked and quickly. However, he did not ask how the food was (called a two bit check). The service was lack luster and not on the same level as the food. A previous review stated this perfectly. Poor training. Being in the restaurant business for 8 years prior to my current profession this is evident. While nothing big went wrong. All the little things were missing; this can make a great visit to a mediocre visit, which is what we had. We will be back, there really isn't a restaurant like this here. Overall: Food - 5 stars. Excellent. Prime rib is amazing Service - 3 stars. (At TGI Fridays/Chili's it would be 4 stars but we didn't go to either one of those places) Recommend: Yes. Especially for the area. Greenville needs more restaurants like this and the service will get better. I am sure of it.

My husband took me here for a special occasion. I was pleased with the double black Diamond martini. It was amazing! The food however was just okay. The mashed potatoes were like wallpaper glue. They were extremely stiff and the meatloaf was salty. Their menu is limited and with my food allergies, it's hard to find something that I can actually eat. The crab dip was great and our waiter was awesome. It was a great night overall but I'm not sure if I would be willing to shell out that kind of money for just okay food again.

Great atmosphere, good food but I didn't have a good service experience. Ordered a burger medium well which was served to me very well done. Immediately the server offered to have it remade and the manager came by to offer apologies. So far, so good. When they brought a new one, it was rare inside. I didn't make a fuss and decided to let the server know but not try again. She apologized again and said she would talk with the manager about it. I watched as the manager stood nearby with his back turned but he never came by the table. The only thing said to us after that about it was by the nice server who said she took the charge off our bill. As if there was any chance I was paying for it?? We left with the manager never looking our way. I was surprised at his lack of concern for the kitchen's two failed attempts to produce a basic medium well burger, not to mention his complete apathy toward customer satisfaction.

If you are not use to better then I guess this restaurant is 3 or 4 stars. Really poor training. Awkward and slow service. Food "thrown" on plates with little regard for presentation. Restaurant will do well for the next 12-18 months because there is a void in the market. However, as others fill the void this establishment will likely plummet. Sit at the bar first to give it a try, BUT proceed with caution.

Phenomenal first date place... Great food, good service, fancy but not too fancy and prices are pretty reasonable for the quality of food you get.

Lovely interior, great staff & tasty food. I only have good things to say about this restaurant. I've dined in and had lunch catered to the office. Everyone I've eaten with here has enjoyed it. I almost wonder where the 2 star reviewer actually ate because I've had totally positive visits each time I've gone. And there is far from a "void in the market" Really, where was he?

WOW! Good thing I am not limited to one word because even that does not fully describe the experience! Very seldom does a restaurant get things right from start to finish. Made reservations and by the time we walked in the door to seating must have been 5 min max, and they had a crowd. Drinks followed and our food shortly after, kids plates first which calmed them down so we could eat in peace, got kids? Then you understand. Zach our waiter seemed more like a personal assistant, took care of us the entire time and left nothing to want, all needs were met, questions answered. We raved over our appetizer, the crab cakes and the wonderful slaw is a must! Little did we know that our comments were made to a manager Ashley, let's just say she surprised us and continued to raise the bar of service! My wife and I shared the prime rib and had it split in the kitchen, the portions were more than perfect! Did I mention it was my Birthday Dinner? No they don't dance, sing or anything of that sort but much better! I received a Birthday card signed my the staff, would not have imagined that such a small act would mean so much. The ink was still wet! We are about 4 hours from home and was looking for something that we don't normally have, this pick was an A++! Try to hit other other places on return trips but this will be a immediate repeat! Yes it was that good!

Bad food, bad experience. My husband and I ordered drinks, an appetizer and entrees. The margaritas I had were very weak. I'm not even sure there was a full ounce of tequila in them. Then, immediately after our appetizer came, a waitress walked up to our table with two plates in her hand, didn't pause, or give me a moment to see her there before she shoved the plate in front of me. I looked up, annoyed that she'd nearly taken my head off with the plate and said, "This isn't our food." She grabbed up the plates and took them to the right table. I'd thought my initial reaction at being lunged at with a plate would have been enough, but no, when our actual order was ready, she came out of nowhere and shoved the plate in front of me again. I'm talking a serious invasion of personal space with no warning. When I tried to tell our actual waitress, she didn't seem to understand what I was trying to tell her. Anyway, the portabella sandwich I ordered came on a bun that looked and tasted like it came from the bagged bread aisle in the grocery store. The sandwich was bland and fell apart every time I tried to pick it up. I didn't end up eating it. My husband got the french dip sandwich. The sandwich itself was okay, but the au jus was completely flavorless. Definitely wouldn't waste more money going to this restaurant.

Do yourself a favor and go here, excellent service from helpful waitstaff, delicious food selections from steaks to salmon, even the burgers are great. Relaxed environment with large booths and tables perfect for large gatherings. Menu prices are standard to any decent restaurant, copper river or outback for example. *Filet was cooked perfectly , ask for the sauteed mushrooms they were delicious*

I have now been to this restaurant a number of times. Each time I have ordered something different, from steak to salads to burgers, etc. Each time the food has been beautifully presented and very satisfying. Service is excellent. In fact, they will remember you if you come in more than once. Very nice atmosphere for dining and conversation.

Food was decent. I had a burger and tots. The service was pretty good. The only negative was when we first go there we went to sit in the bar area to watch some games and it smelled liked stale beer really bad. So bad we had to get up and move to the main dining area.

2nd time in as many months my wife soup, a bowl that resembled a small cappuccino cup, which was ordered as a "bowl", not a cup, was brought out warm. we mentioned to the server that perhaps they should serve soup hot. at least this time the Manger stopped by at the end of the meal to apologize. It wasn't removed from the bill, but at least they acknowledged the error the second time. The other items ordered were just fine. Nothing special, just good. Beginning to think it best to stay away from chain restaurants on Woodruff road and go downtown for quality dining.

The food was a 5 but the service wasn't that good. We didn't even get any bread for the table. However the salmon was fresh, moist and not over done. The cheeseburger was superb. Wish I could have tried the bread...

I'm giving Firebirds a decent rating even though tonight I was disappointed. Out of fries and chicken wings. Strange. Service was ok, as was my meal, but certainly not as good as usual - WHICH is why I'm giving it a good rating. Typically delicious and high quality chain food

In an area with too many restaurants, Firebirds is one of the few that I frequent. I travel a lot and eat in many different cities, and the food here stands up to my comparisons. I am a creature of habit, and typically get the prime rib. The cut of the meat is always as I would expect. When ordered medium rare, it is truly cooked the right way. Appetizers and desserts are always equally delicious. The service has always been prompt and friendly for me. I can think of nothing negative to say about the place.

I've been here a few time for lunch and have been very pleased. The ambiance paired with the friendly service and good food makes this place a must. Their smokehouse burger is great! The ladies with the black dresses on also add a hint of sophistication without making you feel like you're surrounded by snobs. Every waitress I have had has been very friendly and helped make my visit enjoyable.

My husband and I went to Firebirds for Lunch on November 22, 2013. The restaurant has been open for a week or so. It is very beautiful and clean. There was no wait and were seated right away. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable with the menu and the manager came by to check on us as well. I had the Chicken Pasta and it was really good but a little expensive for what I got.

Yesterday I got the opportunity to have lunch at your restaurant. I can honestly say I was blown away. My server AJ was not only lovely but equally as polite and attentive. It was my first time there and she walked me thru the menu, the food was excellentby the way, and made sure everything was perfect. I eat lunch out everyday and I can honestly say that I will be back. AJ is an excellent ambassador for your brand.

Was extremely pleased with firebirds. The New York strip was great, apps were delicious. Very courteous staff and management. I was especially surprised as this was their first week of being open. We visited for a special occasion and the staff signed a card for us which I have never seen before. I will definitely recommend this place to a friend and we WILL be back!

We had been to a Firebirds in Charlotte, and were excited for this one in Greenville to open. We were not disappointed! The staff was very friendly, and the food was great. We ordered the crab cake appetizer- it was good but nothing spectacular. Oh and be sure to order the sauce on the side- extremely spicy. My boyfriend got steak which was delicious and I ordered a chicken Caesar salad which was very fresh. They bring you bread which is also a plus. I would say this restaurants pricing is about the same or a little more expensive than Bonefish grill. This place would be great for celebrating a special occasion.

We were able to try Firebirds new restaurant in Greenville yesterday. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. The management team stopped by to check on us and welcome us in. I tried the sirloin with a baked potato and side salad. The steak was very tender and flavorful. No steak sauce needed. Also, I encourage you to get the freshly squeezed lemonade. We did not save room for desert, but there were a lot of options. The atmosphere is upscale and has a great flow. The bar area looks very cool and has a complete menu. We are looking forward to visiting again!

I love good food AND good service. I like feeling appreciated when I walk in, being seated quickly especially if I have a reservation, and being served delicious food in a prompt and friendly manner. Firebirds definitely met all of the criteria above. Our server, Daniel, couldn't have been more kind and helpful. He recommended their signature drink, the Double Black Diamond pineapple martini, and it was so delicious. To start, we were brought warm French bread to enjoy with our cocktails. I then tried the coconut shrimp with mango chutney and tortilla slaw, all of which was freshly made and had outstanding flavor. My husband ordered the chile-rubbed Delmonico steak and au gratin potatoes, and the steak was grilled to a perfect medium rare and very tender. For our 13th wedding anniversary they treated us with a complimentary dessert, and we chose the crème brulee cheesecake, which was so creamy, and served with fresh fruit. We walked out full and happy that we had chosen Firebirds for our special dinner, and we'll definitely try again. Be sure to join their e-club for promotions!

We had the pleasure of going to Firebirds two times in a 5 day business trip. It has that modern steak house feel that you see in most nice restaurants now days. Appetizers: Crab Cakes - They were great I don't understand how they got the cake to form with so much crab and so little filling. There was an slaw with a sweet dressing that complemented the crab cakes very well. Lobster Queso - I have never had a queso with lobster and now I think all queso should have lobster. Very good a must try. Dinner: Pepper Corn Steak - It was good and flavored well. It was not the most tender cut of meat but it was overall a good meal. Prime Rib - Good cut and very well sized for the price. Unlike the pepper corn steak it was very tinder, a must try if you like prime rib.

One of the best steak/prime ribs restaurants in Greenville. Ask for Daniel or Cory as your waiter. The Prime Rib Roast Beef Ajus is awesome. I wouldn't go any where else for it! Thanks for the steak seasoning! You guys are awesome. And Monday's are 1/2 price wine days for the glass or bottle!

We enjoyed a nice dinner at Firebirds tonight with our whole family. Our server Anthony was friendly and on top if his game. A slight mishap in the kitchen was handled promptly and fairly - no sweat! Great tasting food and service. Would like to check out the bar for some nice drinks and Apps when I am thinking about a business casual after dinner drink perhaps this fall. Good job Firebirds - we will be back! HH

Food? Perfect. Service? Perfect. We both had steaks, which were cooked perfectly. Juicy and flavorful, didn't need a thing. Sides were great. Service was impeccable. Value was spot on. Loved every bit of our meal, and will be back as soon as we can, as we live in Atlanta.

Firebirds is an interesting restaurant. Dined here with another couple on a typical weekday evening. Parking is easy and free in their lot. Location is great, right off of Woodruff Road. The concept here is an upscale steakhouse. Dress code is at least business casual--I wouldn't want to be caught here in jeans or a t-shirt. Definitely *not* a place to bring children. Way too loud. Minus one star: Price. It is difficult to get out of Firebirds under $100 / couple. That being said, I expect to be "wowed" by the entire experience. This was not the case. Hostesses did not make eye contact, ambiance was dark, restaurant was very loud due to the location of the bar in relation to the restaurant. Just did not meet my expectations. Minus one star: Service. The service was sub-par. It wasn't necessarily our waitress's fault, but there was no emphasis on explaining the menu, dinner specials, etc. It was a simple "can I take your order" followed by another server refilling drinks. Nobody ever introduced themselves. Okay overall, but not great. Again, not what I would expect at this price point. Overall, I would not recommend Firebirds for dinner. There is a major mismatch between price and service. If you are interested in spending $100 / couple, I would recommend another upscale steakhouse in the Greenville area. There are plenty!

The atmosphere, service, and food were amazing. My companion and I were in town on business and wanted to end the trip with an exciting experience and Firewood grill delivered. I would like to give them 5 stars but a menu item I ordered missed having a description of the heat index rating and my mouth was temporarily on fire. The manager was attentive and made sure to address the issue. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will go back.

Nice looking place with subdued lighting, dark wood, nice fireplace, spectacular display of color coordinated liqueur bottles above the bar, lots of rock, etc.... Good service with attention to our needs. Our waitress brought us some delicious bread that was on the crusty side of done. It was a mess to slice. We started with the New England style clam chowder which was excellent. Some of the best I can remember. My wife had a shrimp and strawberry salad which she said was great. I tried the roast beef sandwich au jus. Which simply did not impress me. The beef was not up to par. A bit greasy, gritty, overdone and over spiced. The steak fries were just fine and filled me up so that I was at least full when I left. Not overpriced, but the place didn't meet my expectations. It LOOKs nice. I would still go back for a second chance.

Ate here for the second time. Must say amazing. Made reservations online so no worries with seating. Our waitress was very polite and helpful. Ginger basil mango mojito was spectacular. I had two and both were perfect. We had the Lobster queso which was amazing. Creamy and full of lobster chunks. We then had the Firebird Chicken pasta and the the other dish pictured which was amazing ad well. We finished with the creme Brule cheesecake which was amazing!!! Great meal, and I suggest eating here anytime. The menu is pricey, but if you can afford it it's worth it!!

The wood fire grill aroma draws you in with great expectation; the well-versed, well-dressed servers are top notch, and the food surpasses the lofty claims on the menu. Upscale, refined atmosphere, perfect for a special night out and pleasant conversation. Excellent dining experience, hope to frequent this restaurant from now on.

Staff is very friendly. My meal was delicious. I had the fried chicken salad. I can definitely see myself coming back here when I am in town again.

Good baked potato (real chives), bad sirloin steak (chewy), decent service. Cool atmosphere, good music (and not too loud). Might go back to try a different entree.

Excellent Father's Day lunch. The Prime Rib special for dads was the best and the cheesecake was amazing. Service was superb! We will definitely make Firebirds a regular.

Had a fantastic experience at this place. Ordered the filet and shrimp and it was very, very good. Items were reasonably priced and the atmosphere wasn't too fancy. Definitely a place I would revisit.

I really love this place. I'm not usually a fan of chains for anything but the food, service and overall experience is excellent at firebirds. The burgers, salads and wine list are outstanding as is everything else I've tried. Certainly one if the best restaurants in Greenville. Try the spinach salad with some grilled salmon on top for lunch. Parking can be challenging on weekends and evenings but it's worth the walk.

My husband and I came in on a Sunday around lunch time just before the rush after church, and we are glad we did! My husband had the turkey club on jalapeno corn bread. For me there was plenty of flavor in the sandwich, but I don't eat much in the way of spicier food. My husband thought the sandwich was good, but was nowhere near the spiciness he really wanted. He spent a good deal of time eying my sandwich. I had the French dip, which the waitress (Amanda) recommended. The shaved prime rib was really good, though there were some fatty pieces. The broth and bread were both great. The sandwich was really cumbersome, and fell apart if you tried to slice it into smaller bits, but that was a relatively minor issue. For sides we enjoyed steak fries and mashed garlic Yukon gold potatoes. The fries were crisp and lightly seasoned. The mashed potatoes were delicious but might want to be avoided if you are a texture eater. They were much thicker and lumpier than we expected, for us this wasn't a problem but it could be for someone else. The creme brulee cheesecake that we had for dessert was excellent. It is very shareable, honestly probably too big for just one person. It's a very soft vanilla bean cheesecake that delighted my husband who, normally, doesn't care for cheesecake at all. That combined with the crispness of the brulee and the strawberry sauce made this a dessert we would order again. Our server was excellent. She offered recommendations and made sure everything was good. The ambiance was lovely, I loved the wood fire you can see in the kitchen, it actually moderately scents the restaurant in a way that is not allergy or headache inducing. Our sandwiches were perfect for lunch. We will return for dinner to try some other entree options as well as starters.

We ate here after an 8-hour drive and we're pleasantly surprised by the upscale but relaxed atmosphere (we were perfectly comfortable with our 6y/o in tow). Wait staff was friendly and attentive. My husband had ribs, I had the chile-rubbed delmonico steak with au gratin potatoes, son 1 had prime rib, and son 2 had wings and filet. All was cooked perfectly. My husband liked his ribs, I did not care for them (taste). What was really tasty were the wings...grilled with a great smokey flavor to them. So why only 4 stars? For the price ($170 for 2 adults and 2 kids) I expected to be "wowed", like "holy cow this steak is delicious!" It was good, really good, just not great. The bartender said it all when he delivered my martini to our table, "for these prices it better be amazing, huh?" Yuk yuk yuk I don't think I would go back, not because it wasn't a good experience but if I am going to spend $170 on dinner I want to be wowed!

My foodie friends in Greenville had been raving to me about Firebirds since they opened, so when I got an invite to meet for dinner there, I dropped everything and made it happen. I'm so glad I did! I've got to start with the decor, because this place is beautiful. The dining room is very large and open, and the very high ceilings make it feel huge. The bar is stunning, having color coordinated liquors stacked to the roof. I'm sure you saw the pictures. Now to the food. We started out with the lobster queso. This is, hands down, the best queso I have ever had. It was full of big chunks of lobster meat and fresh spinach. Be sure to stir it up before you dig in, though. You have to get that "lobstery" goodness all mixed in. We didn't leave a single drop in the bowl. Firebirds claim to fame is their aged prime rib, and rightly so. I can't say it was the best prime rib I've ever had, but the best I've had cost twice as much, so this is a rock solid second. It's served with au jus and horseradish sauce (which a lot of places leave out), but you really don't need them. The meat alone has enough flavor to make any carnivore bounce in their seat. As far as sides go, they were pretty good, but they didn't blow me away. I tried the sweet potato waffle fries and the green chili mac 'n cheese. The fries were pretty bland and didn't come with any kind of dipping sauce to spice it up. If you get the mac, stir it up first. It seemed like they poured the cheese sauce into the bowl and put the mac on top. I don't know why, but that's how it is. Now, dessert. I applaud you Firebirds. Your creme brûlée cheese cake topped my list of favorite cheese cakes. It was the lightest and fluffiest (if that's a real word) cheesecake I have ever had. It was like eating a delicious tasting cloud. I definitely recommend it. Finally, to the wine. They have a decent selection, but there is one flaw. Their wine was too cold for a full bodied red. If it had been a white, maybe I wouldn't complain, but we felt cheated out of the full flavor of the red. The waitress explained that they are one of the few local places that chill their wines, but if you do it, do it right. I would have liked to give Firebirds five stars. I was thoroughly impressed with the appetizer, the steak, and the dessert, but I have to be fair and dock them one for the sides and the wine. Regardless, I still highly recommend this restaurant. It is a nice addition to Greenville's food scene.

First time come to this place and I love it..!! The server is soooo nice. I got Citrus Grilled Mahi and my boyfriend order a medium rare Filet Mignon. We both love our food. For desert we ordered carrot cake, it was big enough for two people. I didn't think that I would like carrot cake but this restaurant change my view about it. Oh yea, Monday is half off most glasses and bottles of wine.. Denifiny would come back here.

This was my first trip to Firebirds and I was quite impressed. The menu has a little something for everyone but is a typical steakhouse/seafood menu. We had a fairly large party and booked a reservation without any problems 24hrs in advance. When we arrived, we were immediately taken to our table which had just been set up waiting on our arrival. Our waitress was beyond attentive and friendly and gave perfect service. I ordered the Chipotle chicken dinner and it was so tasty! Price wise- completely average for steakhouse. Overall, I'm totally a fan and would completely recommend and come back again!

I probably wouldn't go here again. When we entered and saw the atmosphere, I knew we were in for a treat! The atmosphere was great, medium-low lighting, open areas, not too many tables, not too few. Everything was nice. We sat down at a booth and our waitress greeted us quickly. She took our drink order and offered us bread. All was going well. Then the bread came out...very hard. No big deal...it's just bread, which I can almost always find some redeeming quality in (this loaf had a soft dense center, yum!) We ordered the Chicken things, one platter, one chicken burger sans bacon. Both arrived quickly enough, but that's where the issues really started. Suprisingly enough, the chicken was cooked well on both entree's, but the potatoes were HORRIBLE. The texture of the steak-fries were like that horrible rubber feeling after fries have gone cold and then were reheated under a warming lamp...like when the insides are dry and the outsides are rubbery. WOW. The "cheddar" cheese that was advertised on the menu looked (and tasted) like that off-brand Kraft slice imitation cheese from a pre-sliced block. Huh? Why am I paying for this awful stuff? The mashed potatoes were flavorless and "old" on the outside, again like they had been sitting around for an hour. I felt like we were eating hour old food but had only been sitting in the restaurant for 20 mins. I wouldn't have minded if the bill hadn't been $50. Great. Fifty bucks for good protein and crap everything else. Maybe that's for the best; at least I didn't eat the extra carbs. At least our waitress was super nice. Good tip for you, hope you didn't have to share it with the kitchen.

So far I'm a fan. The atmosphere is nice if you sit at the high top bar area for drinks and hors d'oeuvre, but other than that, the ambiance is a little nondescript. The open kitchen adds a little excitement as does as the wall of wine separating the dining area from the casual lounge area. They have small table tops to seat guest or you can choose a booth which has very comfortable seats. They really focus on the grill and that's where I suggest you order your entree from. Most of the sandwiches rank at or below par for the price points however, the steaks and seafood seem to fit in line and have the quality to hold their value. I especially like the side salads as starters and I feel they too meet proper quality and quantity specifications to justify the price. Firebird's flavors fall in the realm of "American kitchen fare," which is great for dinner guest that don't like the more eclectic menus, and "frou-frou" service of fine dining establishments. "Good solid ingredients meet practical preparation" is a great synopsis to my experiences thus far. Enjoy!

I love this place! I'm originally from Greenville and went to town for my birthday. I was able to make reservations for myself and a few friends and family members. They even gave us a great table! The food was amazing, and the staff was great! They even gave me a birthday card. When I'm back in town for an extended amount of time, I will definitely go back!

I am only giving this a bad review because if the staff. Everyone there was completely rude! The management was the worst. The man even said he was the general manager! I loved the food though which is why I gave them 2 stars. I recommend the coconut shrimp if you ever dare to step in that place.

I had the 14oz NY strip for which I had an email coupon. Steak was ordered medium but delivered medium rare. Not enough to stop me from eating but I find steaks not cooked to correct temperature is an epidemic most places I go. Steak had great flavor and was joined by the green chile mac and cheese (my favorite)! Make sure you get some bread with your dinner, beware that when cutting you'll get crumbs everywhere.

Rough treatment by greet staff. They wanted to argue versus simply seat us. Been once before and enjoyed the food. Looks like they need to hire an adult to manage the kids up front. The manager should be watching. Would not recommend nor will I return. Too many good options in the area. Avoid the brain damage.

I have been here 3 times. The last visit was over this past weekend. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice. The service has always been pretty good despite being very busy. I recently had the chicken pasta. While it was tasty (and spicy!), the food overall is WAY OVERPRICED. I have had better at much cheaper restaurants.

Food was good, but the service was disappointing. I was by myself. I had to ask for my silverware/napkin. My server Joey was taking care of the taller next to me. They had to ask for everything as well. I didn't get my first drink refill until after I finished my meal. The other table had to ask for refills. Seemed like he couldn't handle more than one table. I will go back, hopefully the service will be better.

We tried this place for the first time tonight. We had an appetizer and we both got the filet. The steak had an awesome flavor. The wood fire cooked steaks are a must try. We had the creme brulee cheesecake and that was awesome as well. The service is the best I've had in Greenville and the management was welcoming and were super helpful in describing the dishes. We will be back!

I had a very nice first experience! I will say it was over priced, although it's on Woodruff next to Greenwrich so everything just feels the need to be more costly, and took us almost 2 hours which wasn't really expected since we got there at almost 8pm. They have a nice kids menu. I had the lobster queso cheese dip and my husband had the Durango burger. We were all very happy with our meals, they were fresh and still hot, always a plus! We would recommend both or have again! I also topped the night off with the creme brûlée cheesecake....divine. I would recommend and we will be going back. We don't go out often so we don't mind the splurge if we enjoy the atmosphere and food!

Nice quality and food selection. Limited appetizer choices but the lobster spinach dip was good. Ordered ribs very moist and fell off the bone. Everyone was pleased with selection. Even the children's menu provided good portions . Especially the kids with big appetites. The decor is a retro midtown. Great for gatherings and after five meetings.
