There are several unwritten rules for those unfamiliar with Dave and Buster's. Number 1: Don't go for the food. Eat somewhere else and then come here for games. Number 2: Don't come here expecting old school arcade games (many of the games will be ticket based). I recommend eating somewhere you know you will like and then coming here afterwards for drinks and gaming. I've been to Dave and Buster's in different cities (Livonia MI, White Flint MD, Richmond VA, Orlando FL) and this one isn't bad. This one has a decent game selection (shooters, ticket games, and racing). Unfortunately, the trivia machine was broken, otherwise I would have been all over it. I'll definitely be back.

My only regret is that Yelp doesn't have negative star ratings. This is my second time here and both times the service was painfully slow. We were not greeted at the door for 10 minutes. They are understaffed and have one person "greeting" customers and checking people in for the Game Center. The had one server for the entire dining area. Every step of the meal was painfully slow. My wife actually had to go to the bar to get a refill of her diet coke. She then had to clear the table after we finished eating. The food was mediocre at best. It's basically the same thing us get at any mid level chain restaurant. I got the grilled steak salad and my steak was almost raw. We brought our five year old here for his birthday and it was a huge disappointment. The manager offered a free desert but I would have rather just left. The free desert took FOREVER to show up! Not worth the wait. So, the game area is fun for the kids but the restaurant is a waste of time and money.

I'd like to say first off that I've always wanted to go to a Dave and buster's. We don't have one where I'm from. Now I'll get into how they absolutely ruined it. I walk into the front doors and there is music blaring so loudly I can't here the girl at the front desk explain how they're going to steal my money. I asked her to repeat herself twice with no change. Then comes this bullshit card system. What the hell ever happened to " I put quarters in to video game, I play video game until I die and then put in more quarters"? No, that's no good. Let's complicate the whole process and steal your money before you can even spend it. Then you have the games, some of them are straight up arcade games but then you have the ticket games. You know, the ticket system that has you essentially paying $30 for a fucking comb or something. As much as I hate these games I can usually just stay away from them but they drag pac-man into the situation. So I sit down, swipe my card which I have no idea how much I paid, I get to play level one of pac-man and that's it! Level one, spits out fucking tickets I do not want at all and then just goes back to the start screen. I want to fucking play pac-man! Fuck this place. The drinks. They skimp on the liquor. Oh! And when you ask for an itemized list of what you're paying for with your goddamn money, the piece of shit bar tender shakes his fucking head when he thinks you're not looking. Seriously fuck this place and that piece of shit. Congrats dude, you look like you're almost 30 and you tend bar at a Dave and busters. Kill yourself soon. Fruit ninja was fun with the big screen, and I was totally looking for a positive here but I just remembered, you can only play one level on at too. Fuck this place. Overall, fuck Dave and busters. It's a ripoff. It's a poor attempt at a casino I think, I honestly really don't know. I'm struggling to find any reason why someone would go there a second time. But hey, people are stupid as hell and they're going to throw money away wherever they can. I guess this is just one of those places smart enough to just say, "Hey, throw your money away over here you dumb fucks!" And there they go, shuffling their fat asses off to the bright lights and loud noises. Fuck this place.

I was there at the grand opening, seems like a fun place. In case you don't know, this is an arcade, with a nice bar/restaurant area. The company is based in Dallas and they have about 73 locations around the USA. The look is very much like Las Vegas at a casino, except, it's an arcade with lots of fancy games. Just like in Vegas, you notice you are in a dark, windowless room. It's very flash-E.. bright lights, loud music and game sounds. You don't play with coins, you'll get a Dave & Buster's Power Card which activates all the midway games. I took a look at the menu and it seemed to feature mostly $10 burgers and $17 entrees, they're big on meat and fried food. I guess you'd say, fancy fast food which includes pastas, burgers, steaks, seafood, chicken and desserts. In the restaurant/bar they have a huge tube looking thing that you can get served at your meal. It contains what looks like an extreme amount of beer. I think it's kind of an optical illusion, but it is impressive! The place is well staffed and Dave & Busters is a cool place to hang out and have fun!

Food is nasty. Games are ok but not really geared towards the audience. The beer selection is garbage and I would compare it to chuckycheese for adults.

This place is awesome! It is an adult playground, and child friendly. The games are all half-price on Wednesdays. You load up a card with money, then swipe that card to play the games. This same card keeps track of your tickets. The food is amazing, and you even get points on your card for every dollar spent on food and drinks!

Had a great evening! The manager Casey was very nice and helpful! He went out of his way to care of us and the tables around us. Our service was good, and the food was great! We had several drinks, and they accommodated when we sent one back due to not enjoying it, with no issue. The arcade was great with plenty of games. Everything was clean and fairly priced. Will come again!

Let's start with the atmosphere. Loud and busy. Even seated at the booth we were screaming to communicate. We got our appetizer before we got our drinks and had to ask three times for silverware. FYI we went at three in afternoon. Not a busy time. The menus were absolutely nasty! Some of my pages ripped b/c they were stuck together. Started with spinach dips and chips. Good flavor but spinach was so chewy I spit most of it out! The bar burgers: bad quality pre made patty on a sweet Hawaii roll. Didn't like the sweet bun. Came with fries which were good. Philly Steak: soft roll but very salty beef! Gold fingers: good flavor chicken fingers but chewy. Lawn mower salad was large but nothing spectacular. Served with buttermilk ranch dressing which I don't like. Wasn't impressed and probably won't be back.

We are from Denver and lived Dave & Busters there. We are so excited to have this here now. It did not disappoint. We had a very old club card with a lot of poinys and the lady that helped us had a hard time pulling up the information. She didn't give up and we really appreciated it. Love to play games, have a beer, and spend time with the family. Thanks for coming to Greenville!

Ah... Dave & Buster's just opened a location in Greenville. THIS close to me. That's a nice step up. People in the area are searching for a place to "Eat, Drink and Play". D&B is nothing new to me. I've been to five other locations, including Concord Mills in NC, and a couple of the Atlanta D&B's. Of all the ones I've visited, this is overall much smaller, split into two separate areas--a dining area with a bar, and of course the arcade itself. The layout of it is nice. Pretty lighting both inside and outside the building. This new look of Dave & Buster's admittedly isn't the same though. I visited here 12/11/2014, and it was overall good. But if we had the gas to travel about 2 hours to the Lawrenceville or Duluth, GA location, then we'd do those instead. Definitely bigger and more games to play over at those. The games are what 90% of the people come here for. For a D&B of its size, it's slightly below average if not average, with mostly ticket redemption games, and several types of racing and light gun arcade games. Fighting games and pinball machines are history now, sadly. There are no '90s or older arcade games. Don't expect to see an 8-player Sega 'Daytona USA' setup or a 4-player linked Harley-Davidson "L.A. Riders" game. Those games are now pretty much old-school. And every D&B I went to has at least two games in 'The House of the Dead' series, but this one had absolutely no HotD. Sort of disappointing... :P To play the games (for you newbies), you load your cash onto a swiping card, and swipe them into the card reader of each game. Dave & Buster's game credits are called "chips". The chip cost of the games depends on the day you go; every Wednesday is "1/2 games" night. Highly recommend going on Wednesday if games are your concern. Otherwise, the games are average-priced, generally costing around 50 cents to $1.25. Lots of other cool newer games worth playing however... Namco's "Mach Storm" flight simulator, which costs 15 chips (expensive!), the new "Aliens Armageddon" shooter from Raw Thrills is awesome, 4 players of 'Mario Kart'--4 players, now that's killer! And of course, that Batman driving game again. However, some games were already broken. The player 2 side of "Dirty Drivin" was unplayable. I couldn't accelerate! Player 1 worked way better and had great force feedback on the steering wheel. I also enjoyed some of the redemption ticket games like 'Temple Run' and some weird arcade version of what's known as "Flappy Bird". Although, these dispensing paper tickets are getting old. I hope D&B can upgrade their card-swiping system and integrate the game tickets into the cards, like several other arcades have done recently. That's much more convenient. Otherwise, the games themselves are plentiful. The food is just average, and the burgers tasted pre-cooked, like typical D&B food. I normally just stick to the "Goldfingers" and dip them in sauce. I personally wouldn't "eat" here. You're better off eating at the Carolina Ale House across the parkway. And it's fairly expensive. Coporate coldness, man, corporate coldness... it sucks! I can't comment much on the service because this just opened up in November 2014. It's a big corporatized chain restaurant too. Service is all dependent on the people. All in all, I'm overall impressed to see a Dave & Buster's far less than an hour away from where I live. It isn't the same as the ones in bigger cities, but this still impresses me. I'd eat elsewhere before you come here though, but it's good for an gathering with buddies, blowing up competition with your friends at the games. ;)

This was our first time since it opened a few days ago. Here is just a brief overview of our first impression. FOOD & SERVICE We both did the $16.99 Eat and Play Combo that came with a entree and $10 Game Card. There are higher priced combo deals as well. I had the Fried Jumbo Shrimp, while my wife had a Burger. The food was very good. The service was slow at times as there was some confusion by the staff on who our server was. I'm sure this will be ironed out in the future. There seemed to be a lot of staff just waiting around. I attribute this to over-staffing for the first week, so I understand. GAMES They had a lot of games to choose from, especially ones we've never played before. We made it our goal to play as many of those as we could. Unlike other D&B locations, this one lacked the bowling alley and billiards. That didn't ruin our visit, but just a heads up if you are expecting them to be there. You'll find a good mix of regular games and ticketed games. PRICE When you put number towards a game card, you are purchasing "chips" that go on the card. For instance, a $10 card grants you at or around 48 chips. The higher amount you purchase, the better deal on the chips you get. From walking around I would say the game cost an average of 5 to 8 chips. Some less, some more. Along with the two $10 cards we got during our meal, we purchased an additional $10 card and used a free $10 coupon we got for signing up for their rewards program. So with the $40 worth of chips we had, we were able to play a decent amount of games. PRIZES Their prizes are a lot better than what you'd find at other places. But they might require more tickets. We finished with about 2,600 tickets. We decided to use it for our 2 year old and get her a few things. For the big ticket holders they have game consoles, video games, appliances, headphones, etc. You can save your ticket on your card for another visit if you prefer to save up. Overall, I'd give our experience four stars. We will definitely return in the future.

Food is excellent. Atmosphere is amazing. So much fun. However, staff less than enthusiastic during the afternoons. Never been here past 5pm because I have a child. I only hope the staff experience is better at night.

My family and I went here on a Friday night. We were a party of 8 and it took nearly 2 hours for us to get a table. The server was nice and attentive, food came out in a reasonable time. I would return and recommend a friend.

Horrible service.....had to ask for a menu after waiting ten minutes....i was ready to order, was never approached, on top of that someone walked up and ordered...we got skipped....ended up leaving and going to Carolina Ale House

Only critique is the food is a little bit pricey. Other then that, I enjoy the games very much. You'll get the best value for going on a Wednesday - half priced games.

Games are nothing special. I got a $25 card and didn't use half of it because I got bored. Don't expect the food to be quality. I ordered the shrimp and chicken pasta. It was so bad that I had to send it back. That's the first time in my life I've ever had to send food back. It tasted similar to a 99 cent TV dinner. The previous week I went to the one in NYC a and the food there wasn't good either so I think it's just the franchise. I replaced it with a burger that was acceptable/edible. Next time I'll go to another bar with good food and just play games on my phone.

Maybe my expectations are too high coming from Atlanta but the customer service should be the same. No one here is friendly. I understand it's the day after Christmas and very busy but everyone who works here looks and acts like they don't want to be here.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. I have never seen a more unorganized staff. We waited an hour to sit and this was with booths open all around. The hostess said the manager told them not to seat people. When I complained we were taken to a booth that wasn't even wiped clean. I finally just got up and left when I saw the ridiculously over priced food on the menu. $12.00 for a hotdog and chips. Do yourself a favor and avoid the place like the plague. The staff is beyond bad. They are only concerned with how much money you spend on their games, and not with providing a good dining experience. I should have known better....

Finally!!! A Dave and Busters in Greenville. I always had to drive to Charlotte or Atlanta to go to a D&B. We visited on a Sunday around noon and we taken to a booth immediately, no wait! Our waitress was prompt in coming to the table after we were seated. Drink were there in no time. The food was fresh and very tasty. I had the cheese burger and fries and it was very good, crisp lettuce, thinly sliced red onion and crunchy pickles! The fries were hot and perfectly cooked. My ole lady had the Philly Cheese steak sammich and she said it was one if the best she had ever had. She had it with the onions, mushrooms and peppers. I prefer my peppers to be cooked a little more, they were barely cooked but she liked it like that. The waitress was very friendly a was quick to bring what ever we needed. After lunch, off to play games. Be careful, time can slip by without you knowing how long you've been in there. We spent about 2 1/2 hours in there and enjoyed every minute of it. I will definitely be back!!!

Good food, drink and fun times at the game room. A great idea for family night. If you're up after 10 it has a great 18+ atmosphere. The bar area can be a little loud during football games but not a problem in a place like this. Bring some extra money, drinks are fair, food is a little high but the games are a good price per play. Overall good experience.

The Triple Play was delicious the three meats were each cooked to perfection. The steak was tender, shrimp moist, and chicken wonderful. The downside is the music volume. We will not be back due to the loud music. You cannot talk at the table and the music is so loud you feel it pounding your body. Turn it down.

If your going here to eat I do no recommend it, food was horrible. I ordered the chimichurri steak medium, it was burned and dry and I didn't even get the side I ordered! It came with some random potatoes and a side salad with no dressing! Any ways I would just come to drink beer and play games we definitely had a blast doing that!

  • J P.

Food was very good, playing the games was fun. That said, the music in the dining section should be turned down-- we couldn't even hear the waitress who was speaking as loudly as she could. The service was good, but when we received our check, it wasn't correct. Without going into a lot of detail, let's just say the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

Terrible service and it took forever to get our food which was just a quesadilla and nachos.

Lots of games which is the plus. Food was average but my Philly Cheesesteak came out Cold, like out of the frig. cold. Sent it back, waited 20 mins, & the replacement was lukewarm. Service was terrible. Waited forever for food, husband asked 3x for a beer, I asked 2x for ice water. Server was nice but just never around. Mgr came by once to ck when my good was sent back but never again. We were charged full price. Won't eat there again. Way over priced for the food. Poor quality, and bad service.
