Hmmm...people seem to favor this place...I have mostly neutral feelings about it... For Greenville, which lacks in kitschy bars, it's a good approximation of an Irish bar, but it quickly loses its charm once the typical 21-26 year old fight-song-singin' crowd creeps around 10 o'clock... It was not crowded when we arrived so we chose, unwisely so, to occupy one of the chair/bench combos on the "upper level"...and I chose, regrettably so, one of the combos on the end by the pass-through which provides access to the lower level... Don't get me wrong, the first two beers were pleasant...it was dark, conversational voice level could be used for the most part...and I was pretty pleased...seemed to have a nice age-mix of twenty and thirty somethings Enter the onslaught of the "crowd"... in less than thirty minutes the vibe of the entire place shifted...it was less about relaxation and conversation...and more about "getting the drink on"...the bars became two deep for service and if there wasn't table service I am not sure I possessed the fortitude to truck it through the crowd for another beer... As the acoustic trio set up for play...and fielded requests for a certain fight song...I began to feel pressed for space...by the people who were passing through the stairway and lingering to chat with people that caused them to emit the southern squeal of joy....it's not that I mind crowds or people squealing...I just don't like being trapped in my seat with their butts in my face...or having their purse smack me in the head as they jump up and down with excitement... I think I can return if I sit in a different place and evacuate before the standard set of people I seem to see at every bar arrive to sing the fight song...

Speakless... Awesome Still my favorite place in Greenville And Sarah is the best. What an Irish pub has - and should always - be

I went to this bar and had the worst experience ever. Staff is rude and believe they can put their hands on people and get in women's faces. This happened on multiple occasions. Never going back

I went to Connolly's on Saint Patricks Day and was extremely disappointed. I arrived around midnight to find an IRISH pub on Saint Patrick's night playing today's hits. I enquired about playing some irish music and the bartender looked at me like I was crazy. I stayed for one extremely overpriced Jameson and left. I love Irish pubs. I love the drinks, the food, the feel, the music. I love it all, but Connolly's is by far the worst Irish pub I have ever been to. I wish this wasn't the case since its so close to me and also claims to be a Patriots bar and I'm a huge Pats fan. Connolly's dropped the ball on the biggest night of the year for Irish pubs. Way to suck.

I went a couple weeks ago with a friend on a Thursday night and the bartender was a douche. I didn't like his stupid attitude he had a kind of " come on just order already" kind of attitude . the place was OK at best and its a shame I do love a good Irish pub. Oh and by the way they do serve black people cmon that's just silly..

The atmosphere is awesome. We got there early on a Saturday night and played darts for hours. The drinks are cheap and the cheese fries are delish. There was also a live band, which just made it that much more fun. I'll definitely be back!

I guess you need to be irish to enjoy this pub. Someone should have told us they will refuse to serve you if you are black.

This bar is disgusting. The female bartender is the rudest person I've ever dealt with, and I'm a bartender so she might want to rethink her attitude. Overall the bar is dirty, and when there's anyone there at all it's the type of white trash one hopes to avoid but given the rough neck employees and wannabe Irish theme it makes sense. I was also born and raised in Greenville and worked at the Westin for years.

Friendly service, free darts, and lots of space. I went here on a Wednesday night, so the place was pretty dead, but I still had a good time. This is the place to go for a non-descript, laid-back night of throwin' back some cold ones.

After a nonalcoholic wedding, I was in need of refreshments. I don't live in Greenville anymore so I'm not sure what any of the new bars are like downtown, so I stuck with an old familiar face. Two other wedding parties were there, including both brides, still in their dresses. The guy I struck up a conversation with at the bar told me this was a big service industry bar, and also a big "after-wedding" bar, and that many people were coming from a local chef's wedding. Being from the service industry and post-wedding myself, it seemed I had come to the right place. Aside from the wedding people, though, there wasn't a very big crowd for a Saturday night at 11:45. I overheard the bartender telling another guest that they don't get as crowded as they used to. I don't happen to like crowded bars, so it worked out fine for me. One improvement I wish they had was access to your tab from either bar. Other than that, I'll probably be back when I'm back in town.

Fantastic atmosphere, superb trivia, good pub food.....its what an Irish Pub yearns to be. The wait staff and bartenders are always friendly and helpful. Great live music on the weekend. Check it out!

Classic Irish pub, live music, and Hoeugaarden on tap! This pub is situated off of Main St, right next to Soby's on the side. Very friendly atmosphere, where you could honestly strike up a conversation with random strangers.

I'm not a big fan of crowds. If I go somewhere where there's a line to get inside, or you have to wade through crowds to get to the bar or bathroom...I won't stay long. Enter Connolly's. Great, wide open atmosphere. In fact, the second room has so few tables that, even with a crowd, people migrate to the bar areas and leave the rest of the room feeling uncrowded. AND they have waitress service, so no elbowing up to the bar to get a refill. A perfect choice to add to your list of "wanna go somewhere and grab a beer?" list...assuming, like me, you have one :)

Whenever I'm in Greenville, I make it a point to come here. GREAT for a date! You can't beat free darts!!! It's very convenient for parking nearby as well! Bartenders are always incredibly pleasant. I love the different areas and spaciousness...it's easy to move around (unless it's incredibly crowded of course) unlike some other bars.

Hey! Whatsup? My bigs were so happy to find such a mellow, no-BS, laid-back, chillin' gay bar in Greenville! Bring on the pints of Guinness! It's da kewlest. Thank you I know.

Great beer, great food, free darts, friendly staff, what's not too like about this Irish watering-hole. I visit this place whenever I'm in town.

Not difficult to NOT like an Irish pub. The atmosphere is set like an Irish pub. The customers are friendly. The staff is friendly. The beers are on tap. May I have another? Personally I prefer Dougal MaGuire's Irish Pub but hey, visit them both.
