This is probably the best Chinese food I have had! The service is always fast and super friendly. The place is pretty small with about 10 tables but it never takes long to be waited on. The chicken fried rice is delicious!! Great egg rolls for $1.00, too!

As I continue my search for THE Chinese restaurant of Greenville, I came across a slightly sketchy and very cheap takeout place called Chopsticks. As it stands, this is my favorite in the area. Chicken lo mein was only $5.75 and could easily feed 2 people. The sesame chicken was above average for a low price of $6.50 which came with rice and an egg roll. The egg drop soup was also very tasty. I will absolutely return and try some fried rice or egg fu young, although I continue to find my go to Chinese restaurant that I go to without any consideration of another establishment.

This is the BEST Chinese food in town. And they also do Hibachi. Their homemade white sauce and duck sauce are delicious. The owner is the hostess and is very friendly with an excellent memory. If you are a regular and order the same thing, then all you have to do is say 'give me my usual'.

This place is the best for freshness, flavor, price and portion size. Just absolutely the best. I have been to some BAD Chinese takeout places around downtown Greenville and my only regret is this place is too far from where I currently live. Have I been to expensive sit down places that were better? Yes. But strictly takeout/fast-ish food? This place is the bomb.com . I've been actively hunting for a place THIS good closer to where I live. PLEASE open another location downtown!!!

We have eaten at chopsticks since it opened and you won't find Chinese food around Greenville that is any better. We order food from the fire station all the time. If your expecting a buffet they don't have one, however this helps with the freshness and everything is cooked to order. You also won't be disappointed with the portions.

Just had a great lunch at this restaurant the happy family meal was delicious. The place was small but had a lot of charm. The bathrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen in any restaurant let alone a Chinese restaurant. the egg rolls are definitely worth a try good menu selection and decent prices.

Iama Critic Rating - Chopsticks - 3 Stars 6243 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC Overall: We have all been to countless strip mall Chinese restaurants, have we not? But Chopsticks is better than most. And despite our three star rating I have no doubt you can experience better with the right guests and the right orders. We were very impressed with Chopstick's portions and most of their prices. We just had some flavor issues getting the heat right. The flavor could easily vary with time and day and next time we will know not to order a heat level higher than three, because any higher and you get pepper infused heat instead of consistent heat throughout the dish. We consider Chopstick one of the best strip mall Chinese take out restaurants in Greenville. The Service - 3 Stars (16%) The service we received was rather average an ordinary. Our waitress was not sociable, but she was reasonably attentive. The plates we received were a mess and required a lot of clean-up to prep for our photos. But she was unaware that we were there to review the restaurant. Nevertheless the presentation before cleanup was a bit poor. We typically provide 20% or more for 5 star service on the pre-tax portion of the bill, 18% for 4, 15% for 3, 12% for 2 and 0% for 1 star service. The Food: $1.15 A1 Egg Roll - 3 Stars This is your typical, average egg roll served with sweet duck sauce. It is very fresh and crispy. $1.25 A2 Spring Roll - 3 Stars This is your typical, average spring roll served with sweet duck sauce. It is very fresh and crispy. $7.50 Szechuan Chicken - 3 Stars My first guest loves it hot, and this entree was the only "two chili" hot dish on the menu. And then my guest ordered it with a heat level of six out of six. This isn't usually a big deal as most Chinese places favor the low end or the Scoville. But Chopsticks does not. However the heat in this hot dish was not evenly distributed in the sauce, rather they simply added slices of habanero peppers in the dish. This made the flavor of the dish rather unpleasant. It was "hotish", until you got a pepper, then it was just painful. I suggest a three heat level or less, unless you like occasional and unexpectedly painful bites. However this entree, with a three heat level would be very nice, especially for the price; and the portion was very reasonably. This entree came with a large bowl of white sticky rice which went perfectly with the dish. $6.00 FR4 Pork Fried Rice - 2 Stars My second guest was not at all happy with this entree. The portion and price were great but the flavor was awful. The rice was extremely dark when it arrived and had a slight odor of being burnt. I actually adjusted my camera to lighten up the photos. He indicated the rice and meat was very dry, as if the rice was old. He proceeded to add waaayyy too much soy sauce and SALT! As I can't stand soy sauce and never add salt, the dish was even worse after his modifications. I suggested he re-order something else but my friend was in a "mood" and was determined to self-inflict suffering. $7.95 LM7 House Special Lo Mein - 4 Stars My house lo mein was awesome, made even more so by the portion size and good price. The only thing that kept it from being five stars was that it didn't have the same portion of proteins as shown in the gorgeous menu photo. That and the presentation was poor. $13.95 CS17 Seafood Delight - 4 Stars I meant to order the $15.00 CS18 House Special Delight which also included pork and chicken in a brown sauce. However this entree was served with shrimp, crayfish, scallop, and mixed vegetables in a white wine sauce ordered with heat level 3 out of 6. The seafood delight was a delight. The heat level of three out of six was perfect, but much spicier than a three gets you at other restaurants. The ingredients were extremely fresh and the sauce was wonderful. This entree came with a large bowl of white sticky rice which went perfectly with the dish. Total Bill: $51.17 for three people including tax, tip and one soda fountain drink. Final Thoughts: I have no doubt our next trip to Chopsticks will be better. This first visit we were unfamiliar with the heat levels this restaurant provides and we went late, when their fried rice was not the freshest it could be. Plus one of my guests was dreaming about the Chinese buffet across the street and was in no mood to enjoy his meal.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city.
