How is it possible that the vast majority of restaurants rated in Yelp in this area are either 4 or 5 Stars??? I'm becoming very annoyed and suspicious with either everyone's taste buds or Yelp itself. Can restaurants pay Yelp or buy ads to increase ranking? For example, how is Pita House always ranked #1 and with 41/2 Stars?!?! Another example: Bonefish is a 4 Star restaurant that is forgettable. Literally, I don't remember what we ate. Its been a few months, but I do not forget a good meal. We were given a $50 gift card, so there we were eating something that was so meh that we blocked it out of our memory.

Nice clean restaurant , but stingy with portions , and I am a grownup and not interested in walking away from the table hungry. Food was tasty , and fresh, just not enough of it to feed a grown man ? There are plenty of places out there where wife and I can get full for $30.00 !

The food was good once we got it but it took 20 minutes to get our order taken and 40 more minutes before it arrived. We ended up missing the first part of our theater show.

This place is just amazing! Never had an experience less than excellent. A little pricey, but not bad for a great special meal

I was there last week and liked it ... service and food were good. Atmosphere is great. Edit: no alcohol on Sun.

Four of us were here on a Saturday night. The whole evening was a mess. From a debacle with our call ahead reservations, to our food taking forever and then bad food, we won't be going back. My husband's food was cold, the other husband's steak was over cooked and the other two meals were just mediocre. The staff seemed to be overwhelmed and it wasn't even at capacity. A waitress dropped a drink right behind us and started swearing and other wait staff were just walking all over her while she tried to clean it up. So yeah, it was a mess.

Not at all impressed with this Bonefish. I travel and try to visit as many Bonefish restaurants as I can. I enjoy the comfort of their menu. The bar service at this one has a lot to be desired. The girl behind the bar would have rather talked to one of her friends than pay attention to me. She took my initial drink order but after that, forget it at that point. I had to flag another bartenders attention just to get a menu. once she saw that I had finished my first drink and had a menu in front of me, the lightbulb went off in her head and she asked if I would like to order. Amazing how a menu got her attention! The food (fish sandwich) took incredibly long to be served to me. Funny thing is once the bartenders friend left, I got all the attention that I needed. What the he...!i'll probably come back again but this to e I will be more assertive about getting attention from,y server. The food however was as good as always.

The main entrees are generally good, but stick with the fish: anything not surf will taste a bit like turf. Additionally, their sides and appetizers are hit and miss: some seem fresh while others seem frozen. Service is good, though. Price is the on the mark as well.

Boring menu, food wasn't worth the price. Drinks at bar were not impressive, service was good. Don't want to go back!

I really like this restaurant. The lights are dimmed low to give a cozy atmosphere, however any time I've been there it's been backed, and noisy. I do like the dim lights however, because it gives you the feel it's just you and your party. Food is excellent. I've had the salmon and the fish tacos. Both excellent. The Bang Bang shrimp are also most delicious. Generous portions too, so you def get your money's worth. Speaking of money, this restaurant isn't the cheapest, but also not the most expensive one around. Again, you get what you pay for in this restaurant. The staff is always very friendly. Do prepare to have to wait a bit to get a table though, especially on nights where they have specials. I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit!

OK - I know I like to keep my money local and usually don't go to chains but Bonefish Grill is one of the exceptions. They are a chain that pays attention to quality and detail. They must have a good management program and follow-up because everyone has very good service and the food is always very above average. Tonight I went with 4 other people in town for business and we all had good food and service even though the place was packed on a Tuesday night.

My wife and I have now visited this restaurant twice and we are very pleased with both visits. A couple of points to start out. This is a chain. I rarely review chain restaurants and even more infrequently give them higher than a three rating. I encourage you to spend some time exploring the web site for Bonefish Grill. It is extensive, informative, and will prepare you for a great dining experience. In the case of Greenville Bonefish I encourage you to ask for Jennifer B of Pittsburgh. Quite by accident she has been our waitress on both our visits. Jennifer is delightful, not shy, helpful with food suggestions and a real asset for the restaurant. Enough of that. To night I ordered from the special menu and had Arctic Islandic Char a wonderful cross between Salmon and Trout. It was broiled on a little cedar wood plank and garnished with chorizio, citrus zest, and lemon butter. This was something just a little different and the more I ate the more I really got hooked on the unique and very subtle taste of this entree. With it I ordered Bonefish's standard garlic mashed potatoes. Prior to the main course my wife and I both had the regular tossed salad. Bread is brought to the table in more than adequate quantity (a small loaf) with a plate of oil and spices for dipping. My wife ordered Longfin Imperial tilapia. It is pan seared than stuffed with shrimp, scallops, and crab and then broiled to completion. Her side dish was perfectly prepared broccoli. Prior to our meal we had Bonefish's fantastic Singapore Calamari. It is perfectly flash fried and tossed with peppers in a sweet and spicy Asian sauce. With our meal we enjoyed a bottle of Pelligrino served over ice with lime. May I say that since we both share our entrees that we had another very special evening at BG as both of our entrees were absolutely delicious, perfectly prepared, and were wonderfully presented . These two delicious entrees along with the Calamari really did not leave much room for dessert but they have a tempting looking dessert menu. We arrived at BG late and there was still a sizable Dad's Day crowd. That in no way affected the service (remember to ask for Jennifer), or the quality of the food. The decor at BG is above average and there are large screen TVs in the bar area. The sound level is low enough that you can carry on a relaxed conversation. We highly recommend this restaurant. Check out the web site and take the time to read about the various entrees. Some are available with a choice of various sauces. I had Chilean Sea Bass with Chimichurri sauce on my first visit (absolutely fantastic) and due to the great tip from Jennifer avoided my ordering " what ever that fantastic thing was that I had on my last visit syndrome". BG's garlic mashed potatoes are absolutely perfect. All in all it is a delightful surprise to find real Haute Cuisine in a chain restaurant. Give them a try I know you will love it.

Quite impressive for a chain restaurant. Bang Bang Shrimp was shared as a starter. It was quite excellent, there's quite a lot of shrimp served, so be sure you have 3 or more to share with unless you have a huge appetite. The Ahi Tuna was excellent, I ordered it medium rare and it was prepared exactly as ordered. A real good fish. I had the couscous as the side dish, highly recommended as your side. I didn't try the squash served with the dinner, I should have asked about the vegetable for the day. I"m not a fan of squash. Service was quite good, as my party of 4 ran out of drinks at all the inopportune times. I'll certainly be back.

We always try to eat at Bonefish Grill when we are back in Greenville for a visit. The Sunday Brunch did not disappoint! Granddaughter had the Kobe beef burger, and hubby & I shared the oatmeal and a California omelet. We were very well pleased.

Such an amazing place! Hubby and I went there for date night. Perfect ambiance. Wouldn't go back with our toddler. Their food is to die for! Their complimentary bread and pesto are the best we've ever had at any restaurant. We had the bang bang shrimp and the sauce was great. I had the salmon and it was Cooked perfect. Hubby ordered the anglers steak, wasn't too impressed but my rule is if it's called bonefish grill, stick to their specialty or seafood. For dessert we got the strawberry shortcake and coffee. It was perfect. The strawberries were nice and sweet. Can't wait to go back! Can't remember our waitresses name but she was very pleasant and knowledgeable.

I arrived at 5:10 on a Sunday evening... not exactly primetime. Even though half the restaurant was empty, it seemed the "hostess" was quite flummoxed to find an available table. Once I was seated, I made my meal selection quite quickly. However, since I HAD decided what I wanted from the menu, and had nothing better to do at that point, it allowed me the opportunity to sit and watch. Watch servers chit chat and play around... Watch 3 additional tables get seated... Watch these same 3 tables place their drink orders... Watch them get their drinks... Watch them place their dinner orders... After 20 minutes of this, I gathered my belongings, walked to the hostess station and (politely) advised the "hostess" who had seated me that I had waited over 20 minutes while diners seated after me had been seen to.... I would not be staying for dinner... and it would probably be a good practice, in the future, to seat patrons at tables that are actually staffed. Her response... "tee hee.... sorry"

I'd relate an experience eating here to having dinner at Jimmy Buffets house somewhere in the Florida Keys! The decor, menu and feel of the place gives you the aura that you are somewhere in S Florida! This is quickly becoming one of my more favourite seafood chains while in the US! On this visit I was really feeling like eating some ahi tuna! So I ended up ordering the large version of the Ahi appetizer plus a tuna bowl (on recommendation of my server). The appetizer was very generous sized portion of perfectly seared tuna which I shared some with my dinner party. Then out came the tuna bowl and it was served the same style now with rice and the tart mango salsa. It was quite good but a good thing I like Tuna as it was on the borderline of Tuna overload! I should have ordered the bang bang shrimp with a smaller version if he Tuna app. This is what I may consider next time! Decor of the place is very warm and appealing with tropical paintings and design. Service was friendly and good. We even had the manager come by and introduce himself and ASM if our meal was okay! Impressive! It's no surprise that Red Lobster is having a run for it's money as you eat at a chain like Bonefish and wonder why an old relic like Red Lobster still exists! This is my second bonefish experience after eating at the one in Myrtle Beach also. The experience is worth it!

This review is based on a July 2015 visit. When we arrived the restaurant was nearly empty. Only two tables had guests, yet we had to wait for several minutes at the hostess desk before someone greeted us. When our Hostess arrived. She apologized, seated us, then asked who was celebrating a birthday and proceeded to hand us a Birthday Card. Later she came back and presented us with a complementary box of Chocolates. A very nice gesture indeed. It was a very nice looking restaurant. The bar was empty but looked inviting. We will later find out why it was empty. Our waitress was very pleasant & answered all our questions. The daily specials listed a Signature Martini that a couple of us decided to try but the waitress informed us that Bonefish Grill of Greenville does not serve Alcoholic Beverages on Sunday! So why is it on the daily special menu and why is it listed on the web site as a Sunday Special? We decide on soda and Ice tea. As for the food. It ranged from Excellent to OK. Bang Bang Shrimp was Outstanding! Fried Calamari was Good & the accompanying dipping sauce was Excellent! Cesar Salad was Average. Lettuce fresh, dressing a little sparse. Lots of croutons. Fresh Hot Bread, infused oil on the side was very good. The Grilled Grouper w/ Lobster and Crab sauce was Very Good. The Fish and Chips were Very Good. The Crab Cakes were loaded with lump Crab meat, spiced well with little to no breading. Very nice indeed.. The Lobster Roll was OK. The presentation was impressive, the Lobster was plentiful but the lobster was a bit watery.. The 1/2 lb Bacon Cheese Burger was very tasty but a bit overcooked and a little dry. Scallops & Shrimp got a mixed review. Scallops were VG but the shrimp were a little overcooked. Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos were stuffed with Shrimp and Extremely Good. Side dishes included, Mac & Cheese w/ Truffles, a pleasant surprise & Recommended. Crab meat Fried Rice was OK. The Medley of vegetables was close to raw and overpowered with Garlic. The Potato Chips that accompanied the Burger were VG. Garlic Mashed Potatoes were tasty. For desert: The Flour less Brownie with Ice Cream, Raspberry sauce and whipped cream was terrific but even better was their Trio of Homemade Donuts with whipped cream, caramel and chocolate sauce. Portions were plentiful. We took some food home with boxes provided. All in all it was a pleasant dining experience and we would definitely like to return. Just not on Sunday! Oh, check their Web site for discount coupons up to 15% off Food.

Probably our favorite restaurant in Greeeeenville! Clearly a chain restaurant, but they do it right. The food is always carefully prepared and visually cool. I've had shrimp tacos and grilled fish here, both excellent. The wood grilled pompano was as good as any I've had in Miami. Another time I tried their grilled salmon. Perfect! The choices are better than most, the appetizer, Asian slaw, coconut pie dessert, the drinks... all fantastic! I get the vibe that the staff is mostly college age people, all have been super nice to us! Definitely a good choice when dining in Greenville!

This is the second time we have eaten at this Bonefish in the last few months. The previous time was average, so we thought we'd give it a second try. The waiter recommended draft IPA beer was very nice. Our Caesar salads were brought out quickly, but they were made up of cheap head lettuce and barely average croutons. Taste was ok. Last week we were at Trios, downtown Greenville, and my wife's salmon salad was extraordinarily good, both in presentation, quality of ingredients and flavor. You should go there to learn how it's done. My entree sirloin (medium rare) and crab cake was disappointing. The crab cake, although small, was quite good. A little of the spicy remoulade sauce added a nice kick. But, the sirloin was a little overcooked and TOUGH. Last month we ate at Longhorns and the sirloin was melt in your mouth tender and very flavorful. Again, you can learn here. My wife's shrimp and scallops dish was barely average, she thought. Doubt if we return anytime soon.

Positively enjoyed our meal and service! Isaiah and Dennis were magnificent! The food was delicious, and we tried it all. Our group of eight had multiple appetizers and they came out quickly. We were never without beverages. Our entrees ranged from salads to seafood to exceptional filet mignon. In Greenville? Be sure to stop by this Bonefish.

I have 2 cousins who manage 2,different bone fish restaurants and yet have never been. I finally went and the food is pretty good. The bang bang shrimp is awesome and the salmon is pretty good as well. Deff worth to check it out. I used to not like seafood and I'm liking it more and more. If I could eat it everyday I would.

Ok. I really have no words. I just paid $10.70 for 4 pieces of take out sesame tuna. FOUR. Seriously, Bonefish?

Bonefish has the best ahi tuna! The problem is I can never eat it alone. It has to accompany the bang bang shrimp. The combo is quite a food experience! When I am feeling extra hungry the house side salad with blue cheese crumbles is one of by favs!

They must have been having an off night. Our reservation was for 7:00pm. We arrived a few minutes early. The young man at the door said it was going to be a little longer. It was very crowded so I ask how much longer he said "not long, having the reservation means you will get priority seating." A family of 6 came in about 20 minutes later. They apparently missed their 6:30 reservation. Within 5 minutes of their arrival, the were seated. About 10 minutes later we were finally seated. So much for being a priority. Our server was very pleasant. She took our drink order and returned about 10 minutes later with the drinks. We ordered the Bang Bang shrimp and the calamari. She brought us small plates and bread, but when the apps arrived, we still did not have any silverware. We were finally able to flag someone down to get utensils. While the food was okay, there were a few things that were lacking. One of the people in our party ordered a salad with Italian dressing. He received a salad with no dressing. One person ordered the wood fired rainbow trout with pesto sauce. It looked as though someone just threw the sauce on the plate as an afterthought. I guess it could have been worse, there could have been no sauce at all. (See the previous note regarding the salad.) That being said, it appears that if you make a reservation, don't expect them to have a table ready when you get there. It is really only priority seating according to the staff. Priority is apparently subjective. We have been here before and the food and service were fine. If we go back, it won't be on a weekend because it appears they are off their game when they get busy.

The Bonefish Grill was amazing! As soon as we walked in, we knew we were in a friendly environment. We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp and continued with the lobster tail. We ended our night with a macadamia nut brownie with raspberry sauce and ice cream. Delicious! It was expensive, but worth every penny! This is a great place to take one's significant other, or the whole family!

Service is always great. Love everything from bread to entree to the coffee. You can make online reservations, service was perfect. Bang Bang Tacos were so good, wish they had the Asian slaw at dinner, great night! If I had to change one thing they have this NEW glass that is slanted and 1 large ice cube NOT A FAN, but I asked for reg glass and crushed ice the second time and it was not a problem.

Wow. :( I try and try to like this place. There is no way to come to this place after work and have an enjoyable dinner. I simply don't understand why our waiter (in this case, Jon Z, no offense) has to feel he has to read the menu to us, but he did. We are educated professional. The problem with Bonefish Grill is that it tries too hard. We came in tonight because they had soft-shell crabs, but they aren't simply sautéed w a light wine sauce. They ruin in w loading it w more crab and a butter caper sauce. Their sauces have secret-sugar sauces that are prepared off site. They charge a respectable amount for over service, and over processed and an exhausting dinner. I left tonight and was not happy our bill was $120, our waiter was exhausting and our dinner was mediocre. I'm prob not coming back to this place by MY choice.

My favorite place to eat by far! I've never had a bad meal or bad service here. The menu always has fresh new options! If you like great food then you should definitely give it a shot! Try the Ahi Tuna and the Bang Bang Shrimp! Their seasonal King Salmon is to die for as well!!
