I've been there twice for lunch now. Truly exceptional food. The first time I had a pork panini sandwich with soup/salad ($7) and the second time I had pasta with a delicious meat sauce and chicken parmigian (huge portion, practically overflowing a 9" dinner plate) for $7.55 (also came with soup/salad). I will return many times in the future. With large portions and great food, they'll do great there. Also, the menu online now matches there menus in the restaurant.

Let me start by saying the food is beyond excellent. We had house salad, which is Caesar, but very good I had eggplant parmigiana which was the best I have ever eaten! My family got pizza which they enjoyed. My father got flank steak which he said was not the most flavorful but everything on the plate along with it was very good. Now for the bad part: we walked in and told that if we didn't have reservations that most likely we wouldn't be able to eat but they would "check with the owner". This very pompous kid came back and amazingly found a table. I sat and watched 3 tables sit empty the whole time we were there. Service was SLOW, worse than slow, nearly nonexistent. We were here for nearly two hours... Not for children.

This is my new favorite Italian restaurant in town. The food was delicious and the service was superb. How did I not know about this place until now?

I was here last week with my in-laws and we tried shrimp scampi, pork osso bucco and veal parmagian and everything was delicious!!!! They could add more pasta than the meat. Huge wine portion and owner was nice too :)

It is unfortunate that this restaurant is off to this kind of start. It appears they keep having opening night mess ups over and over according to the reviews I see here. Let me tell you about my experience. Let me start with the good as I believe this is one of the most important things. The food was awesome. Even though I ordered I a risotto and got a paella it was very good! That is where the good ends!!! The service is HORRIBLE! I walked in with my kids and sat down, it was early, must have been 5:30 P.M. on a friday so by no means in the middle of things. It took 10 minutes to get a menu and another 10 minutes before I could get a drink or milk for my kids, oh wait they have no milk, just orange juice. I watched another patron have to walk up to the counter twice during this time to get wine! I finally was able to order and the menu was great and very extensive. I asked to put my kids orders in first then mine and was told the chef would not do it. So I quickly made a choice. I was brought some rolls with no butter, oil or anything just dry rolls. Other patrons were getting oil and the rolls appeared to be topped with a oil or butter. I then got my salad. It had just lettuce and onions. Again other patrons were getting lettuce onions, tomato and cheese and not only that, but imagine they got a choice of dressings! I did not. Finally our food came and at this point my daughter was throwing her crayon on the floor and when I went to pick it up I got a look at the disguisting floors which contain what appeared to be three days of crumbs and sugar ants to boot!!! It took another ten minutes and me being done with my dinner before I could get another beer. It is a sad shame that they appear to have a talented chef, though arrogant and unwilling to take customer requests! They need to clean house of the very UNTALENTED staff on the floor as they really have no clue!! I would go to Brioso for a nice pasta dinner before I would go back there! And if you have children I would go absolutely anywhere else in Greenville before there!

Great atmosphere and wonderful food & service. My wife and I were wonderfully surprised. Great place for a romantic dinner!

The service is slow and the customer service is non-existent. We had a gift certificate for this restaurant and when we tried to use it, we were told they no longer accepted their own gift certificates. Talk about a nasty surprise. The food was ok, but overpriced for what you get.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
