One of the best bed and breakfast places I've ever been to. The location is perfect, super close to Folly beach and only 15-20 min drive to downtown Charleston. All the staff was super accommodating and gave top service. We stayed in villa 1, two queen bed rooms and a double bedroom. Also had three bathrooms! The interior decorations were on point it was homey and classy! I would recommend this place to all my friends and family. Waters edge inn had made my first experience in South Carolina a unforgettable one. Thank you
This is a really cute little boutique in with lots of cool rooms and it's totally walking distance to everything around Folly Beach and to the beach itself so it's really cool really fun unique experience instead of saying a big hotel and the staff is really nice
Our family of 6 stayed in the 3 BR/3BA Villa #15 for 5 nights in June 2015. My daughter was able to bring her dog and the accommodations were wonderful. The beds are like sleeping on a pillow and the spacious rooms were great. The staff was so friendly and we enjoyed the free breakfast, free happy hour, and free rides on their large golf cart to places on the island. Water's Edge is close enough to walk to the downtown shops and restaurants, but far enough away that it is very quiet and peaceful. I would definitely recommend Water's Edge Inn.

The pineapple jalapeño wontons were enough to make me want to move to Folly Beach. And the strawberry bubbles drink was heavenly. I've never seen so many drink and beer selections at a local bar. This special little place has so many things going for it. To tops things off, Meagan the bartender was super friendly and helpful in making recommendations for our vacation. We can't wait to return!
The food is amazing. They spice it up just the way I like it. Although there is not a full bar, they make great cocktails their own way and they are delicious. Always great service and good music playing.
Jack of Cups is like nothing else on the island and that is to their credit! It's always full of locals but if you're an out-of-towner I still highly recommend it! The cozy atmosphere invites conversation with your neighbor, so it's a great place to go and chat with Folly-ites to get a real feel for the island. Leslie, Nick, and Megan make an amazing team. Nick and Leslie can cook up a storm, offering some eclectic foodie-type dishes that are as nice to your taste buds as they are to your wallet. And Megan has an absolutely unparalleled knowledge of beer. She keeps track of the types of beers you prefer and is able to offer thoughtful selections in accord with your tastes (she literally knows what I like more than I do!) Best of all... They turn Jeopardy on With The Volume (but not too loud)! It's so much fun have a friendly competition with the other smarty-pants on the island. All in all, a great place to go! It's low-key, everyone is friendly there, and the beer selection is one of the best around (both Folly AND James Island!).

First time here , had breakfast. Great menu and staff, friendly, fun photos all around. Most breakfasts are generous portions, so split one, the International Eggs Benedict more then enough ....wonderful presentation , fresh sliced fruit and made to order!!!!! This will be on the list every time !!!!!!
Best breakfast we had on our vacation to Folly Beach/Charleston. Very friendly environment and great food! I had the fried green tomato eggs benedict which was fantastic. Very laid back and neat restaurant.
A must visit every time I come to Charleston! Home fries used to be better...deep fried now; they were much better done on the flat top.

Awesome little side street coffee and cafe spot, full line coffee bar that rivals and can beat Starbucks, espresso, lattes and all the flavoring you might want with seasonal favorites, all the food is pretty good too and great outdoor seating.
A little shack reminding me of Key West. Get there early for breakfast like 9ish because it becomes packed. Causal and you can bring your dog. I had the palm tree smoothy and it was a great refreshing start of the morning. We ordered the chicken and waffles, the tree hugger. It's a boneless chicken breast which looked like bone in fried chicken covered with a sunny side up egg.The waffles were moist and dense covered with vanilla butter! Yummmm. The tree hugger is yogurt with granola, strawberries and pineapple dish. All the dishes we're great and decently portioned. We did carryout n ordered "the edge" sandwich which had ham, prosciutto, havarti, eggs and tomato on a croissant--kids ate it up! Highly recommend this place for all including fido.
Awesome place for breakfast or lunch. Have a great variety of coffees including an almond joy and girl scout cookie frappe. Laid back atmosphere. Generous portions. Enjoyed the palmetto sizzle ($12), which was eggs and cheese wrapped in sausage pancakes. Great place in downtown Folly

Never had been here before today. It's an interesting place... like a Pacific Islands or Caribbean tiki bar. I got the Jerk Pork with their side of the day (garbanzo beans, carrots, and I guess bits of spinach). The quality of the food was terrific. Unfortunately it was too spicy for me so I finally had to stop eating it. As far as jerk pork sandwiches go, I'm sure this is top tier so I'm not going to lower my rating on account of my inability to handle the seasonings. Just fair warning though. At least now, I know me and jerk style anything are not a good match. I definitely look forward to trying some of their other menu choices in the future.
The creations tend to lean toward expertly crafted (and authentically flavored) Asian - Vietnamese/Thai but there are also a huge range of other cuisines represented. My wife's jerk was FIERY as described, and not at all dumbed down. I had the "Hanoi Hoagie." I am from Philly, so a hoagie is somewhat sacred. We also have a huge selection of Vietnamese restaurants, so I was able to overlook the fact that the rolls were not as authentic as I am used to. They were quite good for the area. This take on the Bahn Mi was done with beautifully marinated tender lemongrass beef, and all the usual accompaniments (fish sauce, cilantro, cuke etc,) Pork spring rolls were also piping hot and authentic. Prices are in the $9-13 range, and the sandwiches are not huge.. probably about 7", so if you are a hearty eater, and app is probably in order (we did get a scoop of nice orzo salad, but not enough to fill a hungry belly.) Portions are probably reasonable and healthy for a non-glutton, but the aim here is obviously quality ingredients and authentic preparation as opposed to "cheap and filling." Service is casual and good humored. Highly recommended as a memorable "beach dive."
We went to the place because of the high yelp rating. After getting our food there was something off in both dishes. The pork belly sandwich was loaded with salt. I had to scrape the seasoning topping off to eat it. The pad thai tasted gross too. When we mentioned it the cook he came out to be sure we knew that its a "special" recipe and that we probably just never had good pad thai before. Wrong way to handle it. +Two stars for friendly waitress. -Three stars for the food and lesson on Pad Thai

Fabulous! A must try on Folly. Great food, quick, and inexpensive. We love the Sunny chicken and the cuban. Although I have yet to have anything that wasn't great!
The Cuban crepe is as delicious as the reviews say. Fresh ingredients and original flavor and presentation made this a perfect quick lunch. It was light but filling. Husband had the sunny chicken and it was also great. Tasted fresh and Mediterranean. Daughter had an ice cream crepe that was also fab. Highly recommend for a quick bite when you are at the beach.
Tokyo Crepes is amazing and is quickly becoming a Folly staple. If you're at Folly, you have to get a crepe

Don't judge a book by its cover! Very welcoming atmosphere and despite what others said, some of the freshest food on the strip. I had the Alamo burger with sweet potato fries and it was awesome. Our four year old daughter joined us as well. This is not your average children friendly restaurant, keep an open mind! We sat out back on the patio and enjoyed the afternoon breeze. We will definitely be back!
This place is hilars. We went for Thursday night Karaoke. SO FUN! The crowd was bumping and we were jamming. I honestly dont think its that great of a place but we had a blast and thats what matters
Cool little dive! Had a few beers there didn't eat anything. The beer was cold and pretty cheep. Seemed like a local dive but the wait staff was friendly and helpful. Had board games sitting around to play with, thought that was a cool idea.

Looking for friendly service good drinks and decent pizza I wouldn't eat here!!!! We were here last Monday there was a great band playing which was nice but the waitress was nasty ......they have box wine! Blah !!!! Then got charged $14 bucks for a margarita !!!!!!!! Oh they used patron big woop way to pricey!!!!!
After about eight trips to Folly, I finally got to Woody's Pizza! I have to say, I was delightfully surprised. Let's be honest, there isn't a huge demand for pizza when you are two blocks from the edge of the world. Everyone has seafood and boat drinks on the brain. My bride and I spent eight days there so we were able to get a good sample of what Folly has to offer. One night we walked down to Woody's expecting basic pizza but hopeful. I'm a foodie and I just like to try new places so it was bound to happen. Much to my surprise, this was a great pie. In fact, it was well above the average pizza found in our hometown of Charlotte. We had a four topping pie split for what we wanted. It was hot, cheesy, and they didn't short us on toppings. It really was great. The next day, we both had some cold pizza and it kept exceptionally well and was some of the better cold pizza I've had in a while. If you have time to check it out, it shouldn't disappoint. Our key with places like this is go head straight to the heart of the menu. If we waste time trying to hope for a diamond in the rough appetizer that ends up letting you down and filling you up... you won't be happy. Go straight for the pie and eat up!
Very good, very large pizza for a very low cost. Greek salad was awesome, too. Service was a little slow, but who cares? (You're on Folly, enjoy the slower pace of life!)

I was really looking forward to buying food from this place, especially since they deliver, but it never happened. I was quoted 25-30 minutes, but after an hour I received a call from the restaurant saying that the delivery driver knocked on every door at the "complex", which was all wrong to begin with, as it was a house, with every door being made of glass looking into the living room in which I was sitting. The girl on the phone said that he could bring it back out but only after he finished making the food for the guests that had just arrived. At that point I declined and she said she didn't know what to say and that she was not the one that scheduled only 1 person to cook and deliver. If you order delivery make sure they know where you are on the very small island and suggest that the delivery driver bring a cell phone and that he is not the only other person that works there. P.S. I am a Charleston native that frequently visits and occasionally rents a house on Folly.
I used to LOVE this place when they first opened, but over the years the service has gone way down. At least FIVE times they have forgotten something with my meal. Not to mention TWO of my friends got food poisoning from their food. Makes me wonder what goes on in the back . Damn shame.
What a slightly perfect dining experience to compliment a relaxing Sunday at the beach. The pairing, the service, the company and the lasting linger of the food made this a five star experience. First off. This is very critical that I begin with this. Drop In has the second best potato salad I have ever had in my life on this Earth. Holy crap yummy. I would recommend just getting a pint to go and savoring it. Next, the Pimento BLT is not only filled with lasting flavor, but it is big enough to share. It is quite a delight whether you have it for brunch, lunch or dinner. Son of a Peach was a nice beverage to compliment this meal. The service was chill, friendly and overall excellent. Great spot to relax after a walk or some bocci on the beach.

The rooftop is awesome! Nice view, friendly waiters, really good food and reasonable prices. I highly recommend this place!
This was our last dinner for vacation and we ended our trip with a bang! The atmosphere is fun and super casual. The food was DELICIOUS! The server Connely, was so nice too! We ordered the shrimp platter, shrimp cocktail with a side of mashed potatoes, fish and chips, and my son had the fish sticks. Everything was wonderful! Unfortunately my daughter was not feeling well, too much beech fun, so we had to leave. My order was to go and I was super impressed! The blackened shrimp pasta was amazingly delish AND it was even plated nicely in the to go box! The server Connelly even gave husband an extra "plate" for my daughter so my son and daughter would both have one! What an absolutely sweet thing to do! We will be sure to be back next time we are in town! Thank you for making our last dinner in town wonderful!!!!!
First let me say this review is posted by a fish snob. I don't eat anything raw & very, very picky about fresh seafood! . The food here was so great. The fish so fresh , I actually had my first raw oyster!!! My husband and I returned the next day for another platter of oysters. Also had the Oysters Rockafella ...amazing as well. Patrick our bartender was very attentive, gave great service in addition to local tips. I think we will have to fly out from CA just for another taste of these little crustaceans!
