Had a very good lunch at this Olive Garden. Love their soups and salad plus the bread sticks. I think I would like everything on the menu. Service is very good also. Try to eat there at least once every four months or so.

I hadn't been to Olive Garden in a very long time. I saw they had their buy one take one deal where you get one hot meal and the other comes cold to eat later, so after a long week I decided to get it as take out. I was amazed at how large the portions were. I was able to make two meals with my spaghetti and two meals from the ziti. They also gave me a large amount of salad. It was nice to have utensils and packets of parmesan included in the bag. Most places that offer to go, don't include the utensils or condiments even if you ask.

My husband and I truck drive around America and try to find places that we would typically eat at if we were back home. Chains are never really my thing but being on the road...well, let's just say you can't be too picky. To be frank, Olive Garden wasn't somewhere I wanted to dine -given my past experiences at a few of their Denver locations- but understanding that my wonderful husband was craving some "Seafood Alfredo" I couldn't say no to that face Fortunately I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly faces and the warm service given by our waitress and the restaurant staff. The food was "cooked perfectly"(as my husband stated) and the "zuppa" was the best I've had at their locations thus far. Our entire meal definitely didn't disappoint. All in all, it was a very clean and pleasant restaurant to enjoy some classic Italian food. I gave them 4 out of 5 stars because like most Olive Garden locations they're noise level is mildly loud and it was at times difficult to hear what the waitress was saying.

There's nothing special about this Olive Garden beyond good service. Their food is still the classic Italian American stuff the chain is known for. For the most part, it's decent but nowhere near authentic. But hey, at least their tiramisu is good.

AMAZING!!!! Service was superior and the food was great. Will most definitely return to this location when going/coming to beach. By far the best Olive Garden!!

not a fan of commercial food or chains, but this particular one was pretty good. Probably the best choice in the area, though I really wanted to go to the local BBQ, the taxis were too unreliable. We had sausage and peppers pasta, some kind of flatbread of the month, minestrone, Ravioli di Portobello, a decent Sangiovese, and Piccoli Dolci Chocolate Mousse and Amaretto Tiramisu. Not bad. Better than my local NY Italian restaurant? No. But quite edible.

Nov 4, 2014 our wedding day - we chose to dine at the Olive Garden in Florence, SC and the expert service was out of my imagination. Our waiter, a young man waited on us as though we were the only 2 people there and the restaurant was packed. The food was exceptionally good making our wedding dinner a most memorable moment. We were given 5 star service by your 5 star waiter.

Outstanding service at the bar and evidence of excellent management! I will be back for soup and salad at the bar!

This place serves up your typical Olive Garden fare. However, after last nights experience, I thought a review was in order. I stopped in late, around 10PM after spending a day at a local hospital visiting a family member. The restaurant was quiet and nearly empty, as one might expect, and I bellied up at the bar. Chris P., the bartender, came right out, quickly poured me a beer and got my menu. It was obvious that he was in the middle of inventorying the bar and cleaning up, but it certainly didn't change his demeanor of having to serve a late night customer. Chris P. was talkative, quick, attentive and friendly. Exactly what you expect from a restaurant bartender at 10PM when you're hungry and thirsty. Good job Chris P. There was one minor issue, and I voiced my dismay to Chris P. There was an obnoxiously loud big mouth sitting at the corner of the bar near the entrance door. What I found out from Chris P. is that the big mouth is the friend of one of the employees, and he waits for the friend to get off work. This jacka** was there before I arrived, through my meal and when I left. Why the manager would allow this type of nonpaying person to wait in the bar area and disrupt the employees and guests is beyond reason. Make hime wait outside. I will go back to this Olive Garden location, but next time I will ask the manage to remove this guy from the bar area or I'll walk away with my $$$$ and spend it somewhere else.

This is the first time I've been to an Olive Garden in about 13 years. I was hoping that it had improved, but I was mistaken. Not a fan of Olive Garden one bit!!

The food was good, and prices decent. but I wasn't impressed with the fact that there were 2 adults and 2 children eating. waiter brought the adults food--cut to 5mins later he asked if we needed anything else and just wanted to check in. i'm like yea-my kids food. he said he would check on it. his response back was 'it must have disappeared'. no apology not discount no would u like to speak to a manager... and its hard telling kids why they don't have their food when everyone else does. but on the plus side it came out hot and tasty. so yea just a service issue no complaints on the food taste.

One of the friendliest OG I have been too. Our server was wonderful and very accommodating. The only con was the salad. No matter the location, the OG salad is boring and skimpy. Overall, this location is excellent and definitely will return.

Caesar Salad: Got it's butt kicked by Outbacks caesar salad the night before... Chicken with apricot sauce: YOU'D HAVE TO GO TO VENUS PANCAKE HOUSE TO GET BLANDER FOOD THAN THIS!!! It was TERRIBLE!!!!! :( Chicken overcooked, poorly seasoned, and served as a thin little hammered down sorry looking thing. Braised short ribs with mushroom risotto: Red wine sauce was good, and the rosotto was nicely done. Ribs once again, were stale, dry, and bitter. I expected a lot more for $50 when everything was said and done. Biggest waste of $50 in a long time :(

Good service. Always up to Olive Garden standards. The Mushroom Stuffed Ravioli is a good once for lighter fare.

I read some of the other reviews and I will agree that the service is very friendly. However, I would not specify it as great service or even good service. It was ordinary in terms of timeliness and attention to detail. For instance removal of our used salad plates was performed after delivery of dinner; the cream for my coffee was in a pitcher placed inside my cup, and I wasn't given a spoon; and, after eating we needed to ask for our check. The food was the typical fare offered by the chain. I was really disappointed with the overall quality, and the manner in which it was served I thought was inappropriate. What real Italian restaurant would use only 1/3 of the plate for food? I ordered the stuffed chicken marsala and it came with garlic mashed potatoes. They were served at one side of the plate leaving 2/3rds of the plate bare. The salad is the typical chain salad perked up with grated cheese, but it is truly a poor salad overall. Hot breadsticks are somewhat redeeming, but I just can't say I'm going to come back for these. For my dinner and my wife's and one glass of wine and a coffee, with tip, our meal cost $45. I just don't see this as being worthwhile.

We had a delicious meal on Veterans Day and our veterans ate for free, while the rest of the party received a 10%discount. Food and service were excellent! I ordered from Buy 1 Take 1 menu and both spaghetti and mozzarella chicken were delicious!

We had great service at Olive Garden on a snowy afternoon over the holidays. In fact, every member of the waitstaff who I saw was extremely friendly. I love the positive attitude! Also, our waitress cheerfully allowed us to order the unlimited soup and salad special, even though it wasn't on the dinner menu they were giving out on Sunday afternoon. She kept the salad and soup coming and checked back often. The breadsticks and salad were tasty as usual. The soup, however, was just ok - the gnocci/chicken was a bit thin and needed salt, and another pasta soup with ground beef just wasn't flavored well. The minestrone was the best - and lowfat - so I'll go with just that next time. They have new dessert specials...I didn't try them, but they look great!

My husband and I have been to Olive Gardens all over the country, and this one has the BEST service EVER! This location is run right. Each member of the staff is courteous and makes you feel like they really are glad that you came. The manager always comes by the table and asks how we are enjoying everything. We really love this OG!

As a frequent traveller I eat at many restaurants. Olive Garden is one of my favs. This was my 1st experience with the one in Florence, SC. The place was packed (it usually is everywhere I go) being alone so I sat at the bar. The bar tender was very nice, took my drink and food order. The food was excellent - salad and lasagna. A 2nd bar tender came in while I was finishing my salad. The service went down hill from there. The 1st bar tender, now that she had some help, spent her most of her time at the end of the bar talking with the regulars, paying no attention to me. I finished my salad and beer and was ignored. My food arrived, delivered by someone from the kitchen. Since my salad bowl and plate was not cleared my food was placed in front of the seat next to me which was empty. I was told to be very careful as the plate was very hot. I moved my salad stuff around so I could navigate the hot plate in front of me with my dinner napkin. Neither bar tender paid any attention to this. As I was eating, one of the bar tenders was pouring a beer and I guess my salad bowl was in her way so instead of removing it, she shoved it over towards me almost knocking my empty beer glass over. I never got my 2nd beer and the salad plates were not cleared. I was curious to see how long this would go on so I waited 10 minutes after finishing my meal just to see if anyone would come over, They didn't so I called over to get my check.

We were a big group (14) with at least 4 vegeterians. OG was a good choice. Service was excellent. Lots of options for the vegeterians. Everybody liked their food. The Torta di Chocolate which is a warm double chocolate cake served with vanilla cream sauce and fresh strawberries was awesome.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
