Buck's Pizza is great, but it is hard to argue with Billow Street Pizza when it is right across from the place my family and I stay when we visit Edisto. The guy taking our order is often working there with his daughter, who is in the kitchen (and if you are lucky, she is the one who makes the yummy cinnamon sticks!), and all of the staff are friendly and helpful. The pizza is great! Definitely a great addition to the Edisto Beach community.
Legit Jersey/Philly style Pizza! (Coming from a Jersey girl.) Owner is so friendly too. Def check out this spot for good food at the Beach!
Great pizza and great staff! The lady working the window was super friendly, and the pizza was SO GOOD! I loved the pizza crust; it was airy and light. A bi pricey, but it was the best pizza I have had in a long time!
One of the better places we tried this week. Shrimp were of good size and seemed far more fresh than most places around here. With a table of 8 we tired plenty and everyone was pleased. Enjoy!
This was, by far, our favorite restaurant on the island! The food was fresh and delicious, drinks were great and the view was fabulous! We would definitely go there again!
Food was great- and there was lots of it. The "popcorn" shrimp on the kids & lunch menu were actually bay shrimp that were pretty decent sized. The waitstaff were really friendly & helpful. Emma, who worked in the little store adjacent to the marina was great with the kids & really entertained them on the docks by showing them bait fish and letting them play with nets. Wonderful experience!
I've been going to Edisto Island in August for the last five summers and one of our traditions is that I take my nieces out to lunch at least once. Their favorite place for lunch is The Waterfront. The original location of The Waterfront was on Big Bay Creek (hence the name) and when they moved the restaurant a number of years ago they kept the name, but it isn't on the water any more. My nieces enjoy any salad bar with lots of green olives, and any place that has good grilled cheese sandwiches. On our recent trip I had an Oyster Po' Boy sandwich, and another time I had the Low Country BLT (with green tomatoes). They were both very good. Last year I had the crab cake sandwich which was okay but I found it to be a little soggy. Their dinner crab cakes I liked better. I've also had the Pimiento Burger, which I enjoyed. The Waterfront has a reasonable selection of local beer, and my favorites were the Charleston Lager and Palmetto Amber, both from the Palmetto Brewery. The sweet potato fries make a perfect accompaniment to Charleston Lager. The owner's family runs Flower's Seafood Company, and his wife's family owns King's Farm Market, both on Hwy 174 north of town and both places we ALWAYS shop at during the week.
The food was great and the service was great!! Shrimp had a lightly battered and the slaw which is not usually good was also good. At night you have to pay for hush puppies by the basket but they r free at lunch. I know some of the reviews were not so good but we really enjoyed it.
Our family has frequented Waterfront numerous times and it has never dissapointed. The fried flounder, fried oysters, and hushpuppies are an absolute must-order! Service is friendly. Can accommodate large and small parties. Great for kids. The place was packed during all u can eat crab legs so I'm assuming those are good too. We've eaten at just about every establishment in Edisto and we keep finding ourselves coming back.
So glad there is a pizza alternative to Buck's! The pizza was quite good (they got the thin right, but missed the crispy). Good value too. Got an extra large with 3 toppings for $15...even had leftovers! Carryout only, or there may be a table or two outside...
