Mon Cafe can go ahead and drop the "Japan" from it's name. The only thing "Japanese" about this place was the one udon dish, the word "hibachi" thrown on the menu randomly to describe anything cooked on the grill and the handful of cooked sushi rolls it offered. Although the food wasn't inedible, it was nothing to write home about and definitely not a place I would voluntarily eat at again. I ordered the Hibachi Udon Bowl. It was the closest thing to Japanese food on the menu among the Chicken/ Ribeye Bowls. The taste was overall, salty. Everything was covered in a thick, sticky, brown sauce. The udon wasn't under or over cooked so I guess that's a plus? For anyone thinking about stopping into Mon Cafe Japan, look elsewhere.
