I stopped by Cookout last night when my first choice closed 20 min earlier and was definitely converted! Prices are great and the quality of the food is superior, considering that the chain is categorized as 'fast food'. The 'tray' set up ($4.99) has several options that one can customize for either an adult or child's meal, and you can upgrade the drink to a milkshake for just a dollar. If you're looking for a bite but tired of all your standard fast food options, definitely atop by Cookout.

Yikes, stay away from the BBQ. It look like a can of cat food was dumped in my tray and tasted like what cat food smells like. Really horrible stuff from the state that purportedly is the home of whole hog BBQ. That being said, fries, hush puppies and the banana pudding shake were a slam dunk. Try a burger and shake, stay away from the BBQ if you're not interested in Friskies cat food.

We decided to go back and give the food a try, since my son enjoyed it so much the first time. Yeah, wow. Not only was the food delicious, it was also extremely cheap. $4.99 for a double burger, a chicken quesadilla, fries, and a drink, that's insane. I also discovered that the shake is meant to be eaten with a spoon, not sipped entirely through a straw (good to know). After this 2nd (and 3rd visit) there is no doubt this is a fantastic place to eat.

Horrible food waste of money. My burger was sent back because it had bacon on it that I did not order. They gave me a new one by jus changing the top bun and taking the bacon off. They left the bottom bun on and added another bottom bun and thought that that was ok . REALLY??? Poor business

Cheap, good food and fast! Yes! Being in SC we visited this location 3 times! Yes... 3 times! The first visit was a quick drive through... drink, milkshake and a small burger. My son loved the cheeseburger! And they have ice that I love. The milkshake wasn't too loved... it was too thick for my husbands liking. The next visit we stepped inside and saw the combo meal. WOW! $4.99 and you get a ton of food plus a drink. I opted for the 2 hotdog meal, with corn nuggets (hush puppies) and onion rings. Yes... you get a choice of 2 sides or double up on one. The onion rings were ok.... but the corn nuggets were really yummy. The next visit I again got the hot dogs but double upped on the corn nuggets. We had to make this stop as there was no more locations on the way back home. In Florida it would be similar to backyard burger. The burgers and hot dogs taste like they are right off the grill. The bathrooms were always clean as well. Just a FYI, this restaurant is also religious. Its not pushed upon you but there are scripters on the cups, bags, etc. and the music that is playing is like Christian Country? at least at this location.. It didn't bother us because the food and atmosphere were pleaseant and good enough. We really wish they would build a couple of these down towards Florida!!

First time I've ever heard about this place, but apparently, there are a few locations in Georgia so my friend told me to try it out one night after shopping for groceries at 1am. The place is opened even later on the weekends I believe. It was opened until 4am on this Saturday night/morning. It was very brightly lit for this time of the night. Like want most review say, it is cheap & fast like a fast food restaurant. I ordered the Cook-Out Tray for $5. The combo I chose is the everything burger, bacon wrap, & chicken nuggets. I know..unique combination, but I can have a little of everything. The food was okay and pretty standard. What I found different was a bacon wrap. I've never seen one before. It's just a soft tortilla filled with two to three pieces of bacon, ranch, and lettuce. Overall, I would only dine here if there's nothing else opened (like this case) & I feel like having variety. I hear their shakes are good. Lots of options to choose from on their menu.

Great burger. Hush puppies are awesome. Cheerwine float was awesome. The portion size on onion rings was pathetic. Wish they would cut back on styrofoam and give it out upon request. It creates a giant volume in the trash can. Fills up the can in 30min

This is a great place for a 'fast food' burger...and MUCH better than the competition fast food places..HANDS DOWN!!! The fresh cut fries have a good flavor. Plus...the $$ is very reasonable!

If you're looking for a unique experience at a fast food joint, then cookout is the place. It's cheap, so don't expect filet mignon. But the portions and variety are awesome, comparitevly speaking.

Best fast food chain in North and South Carolina and Tennessee. This place is great. The food is cheap. The burgers are great and smoky flavored, the side choices are awesome and the plethora of custom milkshake choices is off the charts with variety and flavor. You can't beat a big double cheeseburger tray with fries and a chicken quesadilla and a HUGE tea for 5 bucks. It's not a high end place or even a healthy place but it is a great place to get a tasty bite. Stop in and try a burger Cook Out style!

Great deal for above the average fare fast food. I enjoy the larger burgers CookOut style with chili, mustard, & onions. Much better than your average national burger chains. Staff has been friendly each time I've been in with my daughter.

You can't go wrong. I eat here weekly, and the one thing you can count on is the price. For $6 you get a burger, chicken sandwhich or a few other choices, 2 sides and a milkshake. The shakes are outstanding and food is usually decent. I've had some great food here, but I've also had some sub-par food here, so it's really hit or miss. Usually you will receive better food if you actually go into the establishment instead of drive-thru but for $6 it fills you up and doesn't take like crap, ever. So for that value I give it 4/5 stars. Only reason I do not give it 5 stars is the quality of food varies.

This place was AMAZING! As a burger connoisseur I was really impressed for this to be fast food. I went several times on my trip to Myrtle Beach. I got the chilly cheese onions burger which was really good. Even more impressive were the hush puppies (12 for $1.00) which I ordered at least 3x over the course of a week. They were flavorful plentiful n cheap! My wife loved her milkshake n I loved the throwback of having coke float with vanilla ice cream. I need to figure out how to open this restaurant here in MD!

This place was cool for a quick meal that is better than McDonald's burgers. The pulled pork sandwich and cornbread bits (forgot what they are called) were less than memorable. I do like they variety of shakes provided, but they were very thick and do require a spoon. Fries were tasty, but I was expecting more especially since there seemed to be a large crowd.

Great for quality fast food. It is really nice for families because you can substitute sides (e. g., corn dogs for fries). Two or three combos will feed our family of six sometimes. We love Cookout.
