Beware!! This place is way overpriced for the food that is served. I order 8oz ribeye and crab cluster with a baked potato with chili and sour cream and for an appetizer buffalo shrimp. The shrimp came out over cooked and rubbery. When I received my entree it looked like a meal you would see at Denny's or worse. For 25 dollars I expected something of more quality. The chili tasted as if was served out of a can the macaroni was terrible... You get the point. I'm not one to complain about food but it pushed me over the edge when I received the bill and was charged $18 FOR A PITCHER OF BEER!! Granted it was blue moon but that is ridiculous for beer never in my life have I seen a charge that outrageous for beer, and you call this an ale house? When I spoke to the manager and discussed this she acted as if she didn't care and didn't want my business!! This place is a rip off! If I could this place wouldn't even get a star from me

Ale house is definitely the best place to eat around the Conway area! It's delicious, wide selection and for a great price. They have happy hour from 4-7 which has half price apps and drinks. Zzinger bites (barbalow) are the BEST. Hard to not get them. The hot garlic pram is another great and unique flavor. Other great appetizers are the spring rolls, mozzarella sticks, nachos, and onion rings. Their grilled chicken salad is big and fresh and wonderful! I've never had a bad meal there. I don't usually get big meals since they have a great lunch/happy hour menu but I've never heard any complaints. The inside can be smoky but depends on the crowd. It's the only place around that has a huge outdoor patio, which is another great reason to go! Sitting outside under fans, cheap beer and great food - definitely can't beat it! They also do trivia on Mondays , raffle tickets for every drink ordered (don't remember the day) and free apps each day after 9pm with the purchase of a pitcher of beer!

There isn't a mark low enough to rate this establishment. I have visited the Ale House for years and loved it but in the past 6 months they only care about their pockets, this evening only ordered queso dip and wings, after 45 minutes waiting decided that was enough. Figured with college kids gone it would have gotten better but NOT. I do not recommend the Ale House. Outback bar staff are wonderful, I recommend it. Tammie Miller. Let me know if you would like more information I will be happy to provide.

Kind of a locals out of the way place. Its a bar and it does bar food well. Wait staff are very nice and fun. Also a nice mix of clientele, which is a break from the dude heavy golf crowd (of which I was one). One star off for smoking inside. Seriously, who still does that? Being an out of towner, this was a shock when we walked in, mainly because we weren't used to it.

Great place. The staff was on time and friendly. Food came out quickly. I was surprised there are still smoking restaurants and bars in my state but no one was smoking close to me. Overall, I would recommend!

Fun, divey place to go. I didn't have high expectations, but the food was surprisingly good. Zzingers are tasty as was the chicken quesadilla.

Pros: great service, often will allow a small sample of a new draft beer before ordering, some good specials, good bar food fare (e.g., wings, burgers, etc.). Cons: the restaurant often smells like cigarette smoke, mediocre side items (e.g., fries, veggies), and the location is difficult to find.

Found this place on yelp while on a visit to see Coastal Carolina. I have high expectations for food. Had a great meal! Not easy to find (in a medical building complex) and kind of loud, but the food and staff are great. Was a Saturday night around 6. Had a table for 4 near the door. Had a good bar and lots of TV's. Fried Calamari, chicken fingers ZZingers were very good. Prime Rib Special with Shrimp was outstanding. (special) Reuben was good. Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was excellent. Chocolate Mousse cake was very good!!! Caytlen was a very good waitress. Very good IPA on tap. I would definitely recommend!! PS, others mentioned the smoke, I am very sensitive to smoke and didn't notice it.

OK. This restaurant was good and bad for a couple reasons. Good: The food was awesome. Fried calamari. YUM! There was outdoor seating so you didn't have to smell the smoke that was inside. Cons: The smoke inside was not good. This was not a problem, because we sat outside. I ordered fried shrimp as my first order. Half and hour for *6* SHRIMP. Yes *6*. I counted them. The location was very hidden and I don't think I would have ever seen it. Other than that, the Coastal Ale House was good. Food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent. If you sit outside, you will be fine. Enjoy!

It's a great place to go for food and environment! Its also has a huge bar inside, nice quiet low key place. Tv's everywhere! Hard to find but behind the Quality Inn on 501 if you turn right after the Exxon Gas Station and like i said before the Qualtiy Inn! Will not be disappointed! Great Happy Hour Monday- Friday 4-7pm! Steak, to wings, to seafood, to fries and chicken fingers! 4 thumbs up

This place was extremely hard to find. Using the gps was completely useless. Look for an office/medical building and you will find it tucked in the corner. Dining area is self seat. After a long car ride with two kids, we chose this place because 1) it was right around the corner from our hotel 2) It had good yelp reviews on the food 3) It had outdoor seating and we figured if the kiddos got restless it would be better than being cooped up inside after our long travels + since they allowed smoking inside we thought we could avoid that by sitting outdoors. The outdoor area was completely shut down for a party - WAH!!! We were not happy. No waiting, not crowded and good service. The menu has much more to offer than what is listed here on yelp. We started with a half order of nachos. It was so good we wished we had gotten the full order. I had the buffalo chicken wrap (you can choose your buffalo sauce out of about 6-8 flavors if I remember correctly). I chose hot. It was great! The french fries were like fresh slices of potato with a old bay like seasoning. My husband had the buffalo chicken sandwhich. I don't remember what flavor sauce he got, but he was pleased. He subbed sweet potato fries and I have to admit that I'm not a fan of those, but these were excellent. They were like pickle chips and they had clumps of brown sugar on them. All in all good food - we just wish it would've been easier to find and non-smoking inside.

I was surprised at how nice this place is- it is difficult to find and sort of hidden, I expected it to be crummy and dive-y but the interior is beautiful. There is a vaulted ceiling in the bar area with lots of cool fans, gives that tropical feel. The service is good, I love service in the south- yes sir yes ma'am! They had a nice selection of beers. The crowd is mixed, young, old, and everything in between! I went with my grandparents who live in a nearby retirement community and it is also near Coastal Carolina so there are lots of young people there too. The food is pretty good, I would say on the better side of average for bar food. I have had the sandwiches which do not disappoint, this last time I had the cobb salad which was large and served with homemade ranch dressing. Grandma had the shrimp linguine, enough to feed a family of four! Grandpa had the fish and chips which he enjoyed (no meat for them as it was Good Friday). There can be a lot of smoke on the inside though.... people can smoke inside here? I thought that was illegal? I guess it is great news if you are a smoker, but for those of us who don't smoke, it kind of ruins the experience.

I found the service to be excellent. The food was superb. And for the person that said it was not wheel chair accessible was so wrong I saw a wheel chair come through the front door with No problems at all. I rate this establishment a #5

EXTREMELY SMOKY!!!!!!!!!! The staff and drinks were good but the Manager was an absolute jerk! We asked if there was a non smoking area since it was getting too smoky in there and he was very rude and his exact words was "We don't have a non smoking area and we are all smokers here so we don't need your business! I will NEVER GO BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
