I have always been really pleased with the food and the service that I get from Panera Bread. I know it's a chain, but all Panera Breads are different. I am really glad that this place is near where I work and live. One of the best things I like about this place is that they list the calories of every item on the menu. No surprises. Also the food just seems to be good and healthy. Their black bean soup is my favorite thing on the menu. Unfortunately it is not offered every day. Sure wish it was....... I also like the new Broth bowls they have started serving. The chicken one is my favorite so far. They have some amazing iced green tea also. If you haven't tried it yet, you may want to. The place has free wifi, and it seems they don't mind guest hanging around and working or studying. I've had several meetings here also. I'll keep coming back. Food is always consistently good!

The prices seem to keep increasing and the portion sizes decreasing at Panera. It used to be one of my favorite places to eat, but it's just not worth it anymore. My food was tasty this last (and possibly final) time i visited, but not worth the price. My mom's order, however, was not good. She had the thai chicken salad and they made a modification of some of the ingredients without telling her first and quite a bit of the lettuce was brown. I would recommend going somewhere else.

As Panera Breads go, this one was very clean, very large, and the service was great, they gave you one of those plastic discs that light up when your food is ready. Not real necessary when it's not crowded, but it's a nice touch. It means you can go sit down while you're waiting for the food. I've eaten at half a dozen Paneras, and the food tends to be consistent and good. This location was all of that. They even had good outdoor seating. I had the chicken soup and a half sandwich. Tasty. well-seasoned, not too salty.

Was not impressed with the customer service told the cashier twice I was dining in. They served mu soup in a to go container. They put my order for one on 2 separate trays. The girl behind the counter saw me struggling to balance my coffee, trays, and box of pastry to take to the table.she did not offer any help or even acknowledge me. The tables were not wiped off. Food was ok....but not worth the hassle I had today

Overpriced for small portions. They don't even have sour cream for their black bean soup!

First time at PB since moving to SC. My cashier (Wallace) a early 20 something female needed me to repeat and specify my.order as if I were speaking another language. I have a PB rewards card to.which I.should of had points but nothing appeared on my receipt... I didnt bother asking, my breakfast sandwhich and caramel latte were great. Location has free wifi, and a large seating area with some leather loungers in case you rather sit and sip a tea or latte. Probably will revisit since this is close to my house. Love the hours. Peace

Breakfast sandwiches here are quite good and so are the smoothies I've tried here. They Have a nice seating area once you ordered and pick your food up at the counter. For a sandwich and smoothie will run you close to 10.00 but you get what you paid for.

Salad was all full of rotten lettuce. So gross. Woman at the pickup was really rude. Salad dressing was rock solid and the apple was going bad and pick marked on the outside. With little effort this could have been 100% better. Lazy workers I guess. Register person was nice.

Now I really love Panera, but I just visited the Garners Ferry location and had the worst Panera Bread experience of my life. I've ordered the grilled "cheese" sandwich before, but last time I checked it wasn't called "grilled bread sandwich." There was literally one half slice of cheese on the sandwich, so basically I just got 2 pieces of grilled bread. I literally paid over $7.00 for 2 slices of bread. I was so excited for this grilled cheese sandwich, and nothing could've prepared me for the absolute failure I received. I'm just upset that I ordered a take-out and didn't see this monstrosity until I got home and reached into that brown Panera Bread paper bag of disappointment. I hope you can speak to this location so that this doesn't happen again in the future.

Been there several more times.. Everything has been great! It gets busy on the weekends. I went there and the line was out the door. However, it only took a few minutes to get to the front of the line. It appears they run a pretty tight ship. The food is always great and the employees are very friendly. Ill be going back many more times, im sure!

Prices a bit high but the food is good. They have a rewards card, but you get little more than a monthly coupon that may or may not apply to you. Service is kind of hit or miss. I got to sit there for a few minutes while the one cashier broke down her til (she acknowledged though and assured me the manager would be right with me). The manager however pass through several times, flat out ignored me and helped one of the people behind me when he finally deigned to grace us with his presence. I just left. The staff getting together the actual food, or bringing it to us when needed... always quick and accurate.

We'll I decided to give this Panera another try; after finding a fly and hair in my sandwich. You never know what's underneath your top slice of bread so I always check it, but so far so good. I like the free wifi and no fly or hair to be found in the last 4 times I've been there this year. The service is friendly, fast, and responsive to your needs. Try their pick 2 and get a soup and something else, a good bang for your buck

Panera Bread is kind of like Starbucks' cousin. The way cooler one that everyone likes to hang out with. Which kind of makes it ironic that the stupid Starbucks is right next door. First of all, I should just get this straight.. If you're not exactly doing too well on funds, this place will make your wallet really depressed. However, it makes up for with about the best bread in.. Umm.. The Universe. Not to mention their pastries, soups, sandwiches, bagels, salads, and oh so much more. Having their chicken noodle soup in a bread bowl is awesome, the cheese bagel is fantastic (Try it with cream cheese!) and the sandwiches are hot and toasty and yummy and incredible and.. Some other adjectives that mean "good". You should really go try it out. It makes you feel fancy!

This Panera is very spacious, light and airy with warm colors interior design that make you feel cozy. Pros: - Plenty of seating, the majority at 4 persons tables. Not many booths or couches for you to lazy around - Good location: shopping center with Target, Pier 1 and World Market tailoring to more affluent visitors - As Jordan mentioned you get FREE hi-speed Wi-Fi, a real treat in Columbia...yeah people we're still in stone-age around here... - Good lunch selection (soups, salads, sandwiches) and pretty good coffee. Unlike their more established competitor you can actually eat at Panera - Less crowded than Starbucks next door...it's also twice its size - Fenced in outdoor seating (about 5 tables) - Very friendly service (at least when I was there) Cons: - Limited electrical outlets...if you plan to surf the Net better go after lunch or very early morning. Otherwise prepare to "fight for your right"! - The music is hit and miss. Half the time I got the "soothing" when you're put on hold kind...the other half they woke up and turned in the jazz factor - Sturdy furniture equals "pain in the butt", especially after an hour of seating. BYOP! (bring your own pillow) So if you're need for coffee and Internet speed stop by Panera. Added bonus, you can drop your mail at the USPS box nearby.

Mediocre food, great coffee and decent breads, plus free Wi-Fi. That sums this place up quite nicely. The foods are expensive and don't taste fresh. It seems to be airline quality food, and I've tasted enough of the menu to notice how much better other cafes are in terms of freshness. Cold cuts are often slimy slabs of pressed meat and the breads can be tough and chewy. The soups are not much better, with overly gummy and fatty mouth feels; I've gotten more than one hot night on the john from the soups... Their coffee is a different story and it's wonderful and fresh. The pastries are pretty good, too, but they're often loaded with calories and such, so just stick with the coffee. Close proximity to the med school means that this place is packed with students glomming Wi-Fi and hogging large tables all to themselves. The chairs are also uncomfy after 15 minutes or so. I usually just come here for coffee and a quick sit down to read the Free Times. Prices for food are very high and coffee prices are reasonable.

This place is expensive for what you get, but someone has to pay for the WIFI. Love the Asiago bagels. I usually get it and go. Gosh. Now I'm craving bagels! Only a couple more hours before they open.

maybe 3.5 better describes it --- a chain, but a good one, nice food, fresh, and nice atmosphere in dining room, bakery food top notch. Free Wi Fi, excellent seating, good specials and salads. I eat here often and think it is a bit expensive, but, if you can afford it, you can hardly do better, especially for lunch.

This is the first Panera Bread I've ever tried...it is an awesome place to eat lunch. Great selection of sandwiches in a trendy atmosphere, similar to Starbucks. All sandwiches are available in 1/2 size, and on several unique bread types. Free Wi-Fi is available in the dining room.
