Bad restaurant report card! Beware! Jasmine Buffet, 7461 Two Notch Rd., Columbia - 78B - Food dropped on ground then placed with good food - Dishes not being washed with soap or sanitizer - Employees not washing hands between contamination events

We've been wanting to visit this place for a while. The place is okay, there's a lot of people when we came which it gave us a good impression the moment we step in the restaurant. Ramon and I is happy to the food options they have of course the same things from all the Chinese buffet :) but for the amount of food they have on the restaurant is quite overwhelming. We eat everywhere so we like to see what they offer from the food itself and the service they provided. Unfortunately they need to work on providing great customer service. The waitresses are too busy cleaning up the tables and we felt we are being neglected by those people. Ramon is shaking his glass of ice purposely so hard to let them know that our glass is empty. It's really funny what was happen but I think it's not bad If you just want to eat and go. Will come by again... Maybe....

Great food I'm visiting from Hawaii and I had a urge for SC chinese so I stopped in and got carry out! The buffet is nicely sized and it was clean ans spacious.

This place is not bad at all. The sushi, my main reason for coming here, is always fresh and plentiful. Service is usually quick and waiters are friendly.

Greasy. Cooks with no hair covering.Ten year olds are "adults". Zero customer service.

I give this a 3star just because staff and the restaurant nice and clean and the food is ok. But as far as the taste and food selection goes eeeh nothing special. Typical Chinese buffet. I would recommend this place if you a mile away but definitely not worth a drive. Happy eating

Best Chinese buffet in Columbia! Lots of hot choices to choose from, and salad bar items that include raw oysters, fresh fruit and jello. Plus they have a sushi bar, hibachi grill, and dessert bar. Some of the standout items include the steak, chicken, and shrimp on the hibachi grill, amazing fresh garlic green beans, crawfish, salmon, dumplings with dipping sauce, and a salty and spicy lightly breaded and pan fried house chicken. My family and I eat here at least once a month and we don't even waste our time with other Chinese buffets because they don't even come close.

The food here taste bad and is not fresh even for buffet standards. Been here many times over the pass 2 years and I regretted each time. So I come on here to warn others. .. Please just skip this buffet. If not completely at least skip the $9 lunch (weekday prices).

Went there for lunch once it was good buffet food. Lots to choose from. You definitely pay a little high of a price but it's a buffet price for sure. Make sure you come hungry. I would go back. Better than most typical buffets.

This restaurant needs a visit by the healt inspector. Cooks without head cover(hair net), greasy and durty stoves. The hibashi cook pick bottles and a 5 gallon from the floor and continue cooking with out washing the hands and the same flat grill greasy and durty all around it. And much more details that will have this establisment to closed. I informed the server and manager who was at the reguister and I walk out and still had to pay for it. Also alot of trash around the building.

I eat here a few times a month. It's a clean restaurant, with pretty decent food. The hibachi is good, and the buffet food has always been warm and mostly fresh. I'm not a sushi fan, but I would say for buffet sushi, it looks like it should meet expectations. The negative reviews I've read seem like they were expecting 5-star restaurant quality entrees and sushi. But it's a buffet. On the not-so-great end of Two Notch. So all things considered, it's a good place to eat. My drink never goes empty, and I always leave satisfied and full.

By far the best buffet in columbia! Tried the new place fire grill buffet on habison rd though its new and nice decor. Jasmin Buffet taste better

  • Eaton O.

Higher priced - average taste - I had to draw the line when they started mixing the whiting(fake crab) and vegetables in with the small boiled shrimp. Pretty much an array of fried foods, mostly chicken, not always warm or fresh. Happy China is better....drive a few more miles..... I guess for Two Notch, bout par.... not saying much. Save some money and go to Egg Roll Express up Decker...TO GO.

This is a pretty average Chinese buffet. The restaurant was clean and the food fresh. I didn't try the hibachi but their sushi was decent, about on par with what you expect in a buffet. The menu was fairly standard with nothing spectacular except maybe the dumplings which were my favorite item on the buffet. I would come here again but it's certainly not the best Chinese buffet I've been too. Still, it's pretty nice for the area.

Beautiful decor....looks very clean and classy...and it ends there. Food was mediocre at best. Who ever said they had good sushi clearly has never had fresh sushi. You can tell the fish was frozen at some point in its lifetime. I recommend walking in, admiring the beautiful woodwork, and moving on.

I have to admit i was skeptical about eating here. I expected it to be like all the other restaurants in taste and quality. However, this place has the best Chinese buffet in Columbia. I have been to 7 buffets and this one gets my vote for best. The General Tso chicken is not a ball of fat & breading like all the other places. Even the grilled chicken/broccoli didn't taste like tofu. It tasted like chicken! The crab rangoon was not as deeply fried as normal, which was good and they were delicious. I am picky about those. They even have sweet plantains, crawfish, blue snow crab, octopus, a few oysters, ribs, steak, and tilapia for dinner. I am glad they put the octopus on the desert bar. I would rather lose my appetite after dinner than before. (eww!) I wouldn't know how to eat one anyhow, but at least it kept me from getting desert. That is a good thing because I was already full. There is a hibachi area, and sushi bar. The decor is modern and upscale. Everything seemed great. The waitress was also attentive. I did not eat sushi or hibachi, so i am not able to review those. I did see the sushi guy talking on his cell phone. I cant say whether he washed his hands afterwards. It seems to be the complaint of other reviewers, but I didn't see on my visit. I would go back again. Prices are $12.75 including tax, $3.50-$5.50 for children 0-9 years.

Nice buffet. The food was labeled wrong but yummy. The sushi was fresh and made in front of you and the habiatchi was good. Its a little pricy at 10.99 a person but very good food

The newly opened Jasmine buffet is new restaurant in which The Splendid China buffet use to be. It opened may 3rd. Its offers, dine in - buffet, sushi, and hibachi, take out and catering. They had several lanes of food. The sushi was fresh and you can make your own stir fry. The prices were decent. Lunch buffet $8/$9 and about a dollar more for dinner. The dining facility was decorated beautifully. I loved the decor. I was shocked by how classy it looked. The food was good, hot, fresh and flavorful. I would recommend going there.

Alot of my husbands co-workers have been raving about Jasmine Buffet for a while, so we decided to try it out. Very clean & modern inside. Lots of tables & booths. Alot of great food choices even for vegetarians. Hubby got the beef stir-fry (made in front of you). He went back for seconds. I had the fish & selected my hot vegies & noodles. Very nicely cooked. Very tasty & fresh. All food was piping hot, (not midly warm like some other buffets). Great options even for kids or picky eaters. They even had Mac & Cheese & Garlic Bread on the buffet. (Not something you usually see at a Chinese Buffet, but good to see they are offering additional popular options). They have a separate Sushi station & Soup bar. They also have a desert bar. They offer the usual Soft Serve machine, but they also have trays of little mini cakes & pies. Very friendly service, lots of parking & excellent choices on the buffet. We will definitely be coming back with the kids. It works out cheaper than taking your family to a restaurant, plus you get to build your own plate & you can go back for seconds.....or thirds. :)
