I truly enjoy this place! Their wraps are great! Specially the Upstate ! I miss their old location. It was cute and cozzy but this food is truly great!

On January 6, 2015 at approximately 1227 hours Charlie B. And I, Dante G. responded to the Garden Bistro located at 1303B Assembly Street, which is in the city of Columbia, for lunch with two cooperating sources. Upon entry through the outward opening door located on the A side of the building, I immediately noticed a unique energy to the business. As I approached the line, I heard a male white, later identified as an employee, approach another customer and ask if he was Kevin ULN. The patron responded in the affirmative. The employee went in to explain that he had met the customer fifteen years prior in Austin, TX at "Leslie's" wedding. How crazy is that? I entered then line which was moving briskly. A different male white, also an employee, remarked about my location of vocation. I made the comment that the business had award winning vegetarian chili. We had some fun small talk and he told me about what soup was available seeing that the chili was not. This male was later identified as Mike, the owner. We sat in essentially the middle of the restaurant. I had a cleat view if the front door and the rear door had a panic bar on it. I ordered a Smashed Cuban. Honey pit ham, top round roast beef, swiss, pickles, and sweet mustard on Texas Toast. It was simply amazing. Everything is better on Texas Toast. In fact, Texas Toast is the bacon of breads. Rather than a side of fruit or chips, I opted for a cookie. A Toffee Chip Cookie. It was big and chewie. Also amazing. The cooperating sources had salads. No clue what Charlie B. consumed. That's his good the food is, you will forget other people's food orders. As we finished our meal, a nearby table also remarked on my jurisdictional wandering. This turned out to be a cousin to my boss. End of Report.

Good Soups, Decent Sanwiches and Salad and daily specials make this an everchanging menu of fast lunch for the Vista. I usually get the daily special here ($7.75 tax included) or the soup and sandwich combo. The meat/cheese is typical deli quaility, but things like microwaved bacon can ruin a meal. They also have great cookies that they bake daily. New location on Assemby ONLY has metered parking, and the best bet is to park on Lady in between Assembly and Park. Service is usually fast and friendly.

I used a Columbia Dealsaver here recently and would def return. Honestly my biggest concern was finding a parking spot when I heard they moved to Assembly. It was a Thursday afternoon at lunchtime, no problem at all. Just remember to bring change for the meters. I had a Greek wrap, the Greek pasta salad side, and the Heath bar cookie. Cookie was to die for, a satisfying combination of rich yet light. Pasta salad dressing was fantastic - I would order that for my entire meal next time. Wrap was very good also.

great food! I always get the half sandwich - half salad combo! I absolutely love the BLT salad. Food is always fresh and very tasty! The delivery for lunch is also fast if you order early enough before the lunch crowd.
