I simply cannot share my wonder and happiness at discovering the glory of the peanut butter fudge milkshake at Cook Out! It's the way a milkshake should be...so thick, you can't sip it through the straw until it melts a little! They make heavenly hush puppies as well!

Great deals to be had here! Boyfriend and I both ate for about $12 including drinks. It's obviously nothing fancy but for a quick bite on the cheap it's a good stop. The staff isn't very helpful. We walked in and I said hello to the person at the register and he asked what we wanted. I told him we had never been here before and he just said oh and started talking to a coworker. We finally figured out what was going on and placed our order. He wasn't helpful during that either. The dining room was clean for the most part but the mat by the drink machines was sticky. The burger was good. It really tasted like it came off the grill and the lettuce, tomato and pickles seemed fresh. The quesadilla (as a side item?) was good. It was simple and spicy. The fries were good too but nothing special.

Interesting combination of food choices. I had a cheeseburger, chicken quesadilla and onion ring combo. The food is really cheap! I also had a heath milkshake and it was the best shake I ever had!!

Great fried chicken and delicious shakes. After my husband graduated from basic training at fort jackson we went here for lunch. After army food he wanted to enjoy a fatty meal and we sure got it at the cook out. I asked for a side of carrots or celery or really anything fresh and was laughed at. So if you are into having a salad don't go here. But the chicken was great! I had the chicken strips sandwich. And the food was ready really quick!

Good cheap place for lunch. Got a burger, onion rings and a side of chicken nuggets with a large drinks for under $7 bucks. Taste was pretty good, not amazing or four star level. Would eat there again.

As good as it gets for fast food. Good standard cookout restaurant food, clean, nice workers and yummy shakes! We sometimes go in the evening just for the shakes. Too bad they don't offer a military discount but we still go anyways. :-)

This is a very reasonably priced fast food option. The tray is only $4.69 plus tax and includes a sandwich plus two sides and a drink. Upgrade to a fancy milk shake for $1 more. What is so impressive about this place is the options for the sides are GREAT. You can get a burger with a chicken wrap and a quesadilla as sides! Some of their sides are like other's entrees! My favorite is the original grilled chicken sandwich which has honey mustard and lettuce and tomato. The wraps as sides are good as well as the onion rings. The milk shakes are the BOMB. Some of our family favorites include the peach cobbler and banana pudding shakes.

Why don't we have this in Florida? Damn good burgers, crispy fries, and the best milkshake I've ever had.

Just your average burger joint, the exterior looks cool but sorry this food is cheap. I will say that the shakes here are pretty decent if your in a hurry. They have a lot of weird combinations of shakes to try as well, but don't come here for the food. Total let down man.

our first visit EVER to one of these! we originally planned on stopping at Wendy's across the street until we saw the place. so I quickly got on my Yelp app to check them out. looked at the menu and definately decided that my daughter and I give them a try. we went in and i love the double drive thru order process. BE WARNED the Shake options are HUGE! so you might need a minute to decide. She got the regular burger and I the huge. we both decided to get them done the Cheddar Way. also we split a large fries with the Cajun seasoning. She wanted a m&m shake. i just got a regular coke. she told me the price and I was confused why it was only $9 and change. turns out the order taker did not hear or something and did not order my Huge burger. the wonderful young lady at the window quickly got my burger and then asked the manager if she should charge me for it which I would've been happy to pay. But they were gracious and did not charge me for the error. the fries and burgers were blazing hot! a huge PLUS. and the seasoning on the fries was a great add on at not additional charge! the burgers appear to be hand formed and FAT and juicy- not cooked to death. the toppings were nice and it was difficult to drive down the road handling this piping hot burger but oh so yummy. The shake was a spoon eating kind- very thick with ground up m&m's and oh so good and cold to eat aftger my mouth was on fire from the spices on the fries. I am sold! This is my new place for burgers- now if they can build one near me! LOVE the food! Loved the service.

Underwhelming. This was a disappointment. Bland BBQ, not sure how you do that in SC? Order was wrong. Bland milkshake. Poorly designed parking lot. I don't get the good reviews. Go try a Five Guys or Smashburger and see how this is supposed to be done. Very disappointing. Will never visit again.

My wife and I went in at 9:30 PM. It wasn't busy. The staff was attentive and took our order - two burgers and shakes. The seating area was clean and the atmosphere pleasant. The restrooms were clean. Our food was ready within three minutes or so. Burgers (1/4 lb) were delicious and the shakes were thick and tasty. Cook Out has four burger sizes - 1/8 lb, 1/4 lb, 1/2 lb, and a double. I am not sure what the double is a double of. We didn't look for fries. So, I don't know if they were available. The shake menu is extensive. I suggest just picking one that you think sounds good or you will be there all day deciding. They take Visa, but not Discover.

Only been here once, so I am not ready to commit to five stars yet. I would compare the type of burgers to five guys, but at a better price, with more selection, and includes a drive through. Highly recommend the A1 1/2 lb. The shakes were amazing.
