Look it's a Chinese restaurant with a decent bar. If you want four stars then go elsewhere. If you want solid Chinese and Thai and maybe a beer while you wait then this is a great place.

I ordered General Tso Chicken which was extremely hard, overcooked, and tasted horrible. Either it was prepared poorly or refried. My first and last time eating here. There were hard fried chunks of "God knows what" in it that tasted like plastic. I couldn't even finish eating it.

I've eaten here twice and the food was good. The service wasn't always good but this time it was horrible. I ordered my food online to pick up at a certain time. When I arrived there no one was at the front counter to greet. So I waited because I thought that maybe they could have went to the bathroom. 10 minutes later still nobody. Two workers in the back kept walking by looking at me and I wondered if they would come and help me. Eventually the young man asked me if I need help, I told him I ordered online and was waiting for my food. He said he would he would be right back and never came back. Instead he went out the back door with someone from the kitchen to smoke. I waited for 30 minutes for service and left without my food. It's a shame because I really enjoy their food, but I will not be returning and don't recommend that anyone else goes here either.

Worst experience I have ever had. Employee rang my dinner up 3 times, each hit my bank account. Argued with both myself and the BoA rep I called to verify. Would not give me my dinner. Screamed at his employee in front of myself and other customers. Will tell everyone in Columbia to save their money.

Amazing food quality, clean restaurant, and fast service. Server was very kind, and helped with suggestions for vegetarian food, and even had fresh soup prepared without meat for us. Would highly recommend blue ginger for lunch or dinner. Great Food quality, Great Service, and continued service with a smile even when the restaurant became busy.

Good food! The bang bang shrimp ($5) here is seriously better than bonefish grill! (Every once in a while it's not done right I'm not gonna lie) I've had the japanese udon and it was really good! The pad thai is good sometimes. The spicy thai curry was pretty good. My favorite is the scallops with garlic sauce. They have lunch specials for 5.50 but they do it after 8 pm again for dinner which is awesome cause that's when I go! The food here is overall really good and cooked to order so you can custom order the food!

Service is very nice and they make you feel comfortable. Food is really good. I always get the noodles with seafood. It has a Bar, so it is convenient if you want to have a drink.

For Columbia, this is probably the best Chinese food in town. They also have a small selection of Thai and Japanese. The Mushu is outstanding, and the appetizers are very good. They actually have chicken eggrolls. The portions and the prices are good, and they have decent hours. They do deliver, but it's through inexpensive delivery service called 256to go.

I had a bad experience last time my wife and I went there. Forgot and ordered pick-up. The host did not greet me at all. He just asked for my card. I said thank you and he didn't say a word back. They have horrible service. Try Wasabi next door much better food and excellent service. They really value you as a customer at Wasabi. If you want horrible service go here. The only reason why I ordered from here is because Wasabi is closed on Sunday. I will never make that mistake again.

Bang bang shrimp was very good. We had lettuce wraps also and they were also good. Our main course was General Tso chicken was excellent with lighter batter than most restaurants. The only disappointment was the spring rolls that were probably prepackaged frozen. We ordered to-go and it took longer than promised but it was well boxed and hot when I got home.

Hit or miss but you can't beat the after 8pm deals. They give you a lot of food for the price

This is just what lovers of dog food everywhere have been looking for. What's that you say... you don't eat dog food? Well then, you should avoid this place like the plague. Don't get me wrong-- I don't mind a little fast-food Asian fusion every now and then. But even compared to other MSG-infused wok-a-lots, this place takes the cake for bad food and bad service. Shall I count the ways? Veggie spring rolls composed nearly entirely of iceburg lettuce. Bone-dry chicken satay. "Peanut sauce" with a consistency and taste suspiciously reminiscent of Skippy peanut butter. Dumplings fried in oil that tastes like it hasn't been changed out since the Clinton administration. Sickeningly sweet General Tso's chicken. The absolute rudest waitress I've ever seen-- this lady didn't even bring her proper outside manners to the table, let alone conduct herself in the way expected of a paid service provider. And all of it topped off with a nice case of indigestion.

First time trying this new addition to the NE Columbia restaurant scene. After reading another review wasn't expecting much. Wow! Were we pleasantly surprised! The pic is of our appetiser (after we were half thru!) I could actually taste the fresh ingredients (especially the basil and shrimp) service was warm and courteous. My main course was the Thai Green Curry Chicken - I now have a new fav dish AND a new NE Cola Asian restaurant to get my fix. This place has been open for less than 90 days, I cut all new restaurants alot of slack for service while breaking in wait staff. Our waiter, Patrick, was friendly and helpful. BTW, not sure but I don't think they have sushi ... not sure why someone has it listed as a sushi bar. In my opinion, the atmosphere in Miyo's is totally different and I preferred the freshness of the ingredients here over Red Bowl plus there isn't a wait to get to your table and be served on a Saturday evening here. Maybe I'm just picky about things like that. If you are looking for a family friendly, bright, open airy feeling atmosphere for Asian Fusion - I highly recommend it. If you are looking for haute cuisine - you won't be satisfied (til you take a bite of the Thai Green Curry Chicken! ) One Grip: Would love to find a restaurant that does NOT have TVs every where. For me it cheapens the atmosphere and distracts from the restaurant experience. If I wanted to eat and watch TV - I'd stay at home - just sayin' ...

Best egg drop soup & spring roll I've had in awhile! My companions loved the wonton soup & egg rolls too. The triple delight was great. Very nice atmosphere. Owner waited on our table (party of 8). She was pleasant and cordial, even joking around with us. Will definitely go back.

Ordered sweet and sour chicken for dinner. It was terrible. Seemed like left over from day before. The chicken was hard and tough. There was not a single piece of pineapple and only two shriveled up green peppers and two burned onions in the dinner entree. Egg rolls were just as bad and mostly breading.

Went for dinner and got the combo special for 9.95. It's a lot of food for the money, but I found all the dishes/sauces to be overly sweet. Other than that they were good. Wonton soup was tasty, and the green curry and potstickers had good flavor. Service was great!

Everything is dirty here....the tables had not been wiped and we saw servers grabbing food with their bare hands to give it to customers. I will not go here again.

Not the best, but if passable if you're looking for a cheap eat. The lunch special offers a large portion (enough to feed a starving man) for just 5 bucks and some change. Just don't expect authentic flavors for that price. The Pad Thai was really sweet (compared to the one I ate in a Thai restaurant in Fayetteville). It was lacking some condiments the other restaurant had in their dish. Mom said her pan fried noodles that was not made correctly because it was overwhelmed with sauce and soggy. It was also too sweet. This is coming from a Chinese/Vietnamese woman whose family cook authenic Chinese food even when the family was still in Vietnam. Service is terrible, but that might because the waitress is new to the business. She forgot my egg roll, but I didn't complain because I wanted to leave ASAP. My drink wasn't refilled until I desperately sucked out the last drop. I would definitely pick Miyo's or Red Bowl for dinner over this place. I probably won't return unless they are the only source of food left for mankind.

We really like Blue Ginger. It's one of our "go to" spots when we want something fresh, delicious and afforable. It's reasonably priced, and there's always something different I want to try on the menu. I love the variety - not your standard "Chinese" fare, but a bit of Thai and Hibachi thrown in, too. I just wish they delivered!

Awesome place we've been twice in the last two weeks. Great value for the money, we can take our family of 4 there for less than 30.00 ( if we all get water) just wish they had sushi. Okay, so now things have changed. Loved it at first but the food has gotten worse. Got an egg-roll last weekend that was spoiled and the rice tasted old. I guess you get what you pay for

Food was Delish! Way better than Red Bowl! We celebrated my daughters birthday there and had a variety of dishes. The shrimp stir fry, bang bang shrimp are really good. I tasted my sons sweet and sour chicken and it was good also. I would have given them five stars if there yum yum sauce was good....but overall a great place! Oh yeah, they give you a ton of food, which is always great! It's not mostly rice either it's the main entree and veggies...lots of shrimp in my plate...we will be going back :)

Blue Ginger is a nice addition to the NE Columbia Area. Compared to Miyos, its pricing is very reasonable. You do get a lot of food for little money! The $5 lunch is very attractive. We usually get a shrimp pad thai for lunch and the shrimps are big. We also dined in last week with a Living Social Coupon. I love their Ginger Special Box with tempura, shrimp green curry, rice and a big salad. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. The only disappointing part is that they don't serve authentic Chinese. It's more of a sit-down American Chinese restaurant (though much better than to-go and buffet ones).
