There are a few reasons why I cannot give Atlantic Seafood Restaurant 5 stars. One is the location and size of their restaurant. My husband and I questioned whether or not we needed to enter the building when we saw how small it really was. The bathrooms really need to be updated and someone needs to clean them regularly. I could not force myself to use the restroom there because they were not clean. Last but not least, the seating seems rather limited. None of the chairs really move away from the tables so I could see how it would be hard for larger people or even pregnant women to eat here. As far as the food goes....TWO THUMBS UP! I was really shocked to see a restaurant that has fried seafood and eggrolls on the same menu. I was pleasantly surprised. My husband and I got a #7 and #8 and we both got eggrolls to go with our lunch. Amazing eggrolls, tasty fries, flavorful shrimp and awesome hush puppies is what we found in our baskets. Good food at reasonable prices. I am highly impressed with this restaurant. We will be back for sure!

Large portions polite staff fair price drink refills prompt service had lunch with the wife and it was 30 dollars. She got the number 22 I got the number 24. We almost couldn't eat everything. Give it a try. Everything is breaded and fried but the food is juicy and tasty.

We just ate here and it was fantastic! The fried shrimp, oysters, & fried fish were awesome. My husband had a cup of the gumbo & I tassted it. It was to die for! Will definitely be going back to try more of the menu items.

This has to be one of the better seafood spots in Columbia. I know the outside appearance can be deceiving, but the food is outstanding. Restaurant was extremely clean and service was excellent. Much better than that other seafood place across the street.

This was my first time here and let me just say I WILL BE BACK. It's kind of a hole in the wall as far as decor is concerned BUT the food I had tonight was excellent (tilapia, shrimp, fries, hush puppies). I was impressed with the customer service-very nice and pleasant. *the prices are very reasonable as well*

I was born and raised in south Louisiana so I know what good seafood is supposed to taste like. This is the best seafood I have had outside of Louisiana! The owners are from Louisiana so the gumbo is authentic and delicious! The boiled shrimp is delicious and well seasoned and not with nasty Old Bay! They make their own seasoning. The fried catfish and fried shrimp are delicious. The remoulade on the shrimp poboy is delicious. Consider us regular customers because we have been there twice now and we will be back!! If you are looking for good seafood, I highly recommend Atlantic Seafood!! The owners are extremely nice and personable. There really is nothing negative to say. We are so excited to have found this place!!

When driving through the area I try to stop here for great seafood at a reasonable price. Don't be fooled by the appearance of the building. It is not fancy but the food is excellent.

Good food and good prices. The friendly man behind the counter helped me figure out thirty very large menu. I had the white fish, shrimp, oysters, crab, rice, and hush puppies. The soft shell crab is amazing - I could eat them all day long. White fish is perfect. The decor is taco bell funky but this place is worth a try

Oh man. This place is awesome. I love the boiled shrimp, and haven't tried much else. My more adventurous boyfriend has experimented a bit more, and really liked everything he'd had too. Especially the soft shell crab. The people running it are super nice, and the prices are great, too. Go here!

Yeah boy! Have the fish! I'm from New Orleans so seafood is in my DNA. Can't really get good, good water dwellers in Cola. But ASC is bomb. Asian owned as one reviewer said but guess what? Best seafood experts back home are Asian! So get the fish. Prices are great too. Staff is awesome. Only drawback is the po boys don't boast real French bread. Bummer. But you get more than enough for your dollar. Eat the fish!

Yelped $$ Seafood close by. Choose the Atlantic over the Ocean? Small Mom & Pop, old Taco Bell converted I think. Order at the counter, got the fried fish, shrimp, oyster plate, with a side order of egg rolls. Yes egg rolls & a sea food place, I will explain. Fish was perfect, shrimp was good, oysters were very good, egg rolls good. Friendly couple running the place both Asian from Mobile Al. where they learned to cook good seafood and a little Asian. Went back a second night had the gumbo & crab cakes. Place was clean, service good, food good for a small price. When in town I will stop by for some fish & gumbo.

You know when you look at a menu and they have a very wide variety of items then everything is probably not bad but not necessarily great. That being said I opted for the fried shrimp and flounder. Nice light fry in what tasted like peanut oil which is always a good thing! Came with a side of fried rice that was awful, tasted like it had a cup of black pepper in it? Couldn't kick the pepper taste which ultimately seemed to ruin the better than average fried seafood. Better luck next time!

Very Good Food, I was kinda scared to go into this little mom and pop restaurant the first time. I got the Soft Shell Crab platter and it was cooked perfectly. I took my girlfriend there the next time and she loved it. I would also recommend this place over Ocean view right across the street. You can't ask for better seafood for these awesomely low prices. I will definitely go back

While the service was friendly the food was not what we expected. The crab legs were covered in some buttery sauce that was so salty it made us gag, and the soft shell crab po'boy was meh. The BBQ wings were good as were the hush puppies, but overall I'd say it wasn't worth it.

I am less than satified. Food was not worth what I paid for it. $23.00 is way too much. Oysters were overly breaded, and had a bad taste. Ordered cole slaw, paid for it, and when I got home, there was none in the bag. Scallops were fine as well as the fish. Can't say I would recommend this place to anyone. There are far better seafood restaurants in Columbia. This place is very unorganized. No menu's, except on line and at the store. Sorry folks, I call em' like I eat em. G.

Food was very good. Very large portions. Price was very reasonable. Service was like eating at someone's house. All the little extras were provided without asking. When back n town I will come back.

We enjoyed the shrimp and fish. All of our meals were hot and fresh. Everything looked clean. It is small and questionable from the outside but the service and food were great. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting good inexpensive seafood.

I stopped here with my family after seeing others on Yelp. The food was quite good. The batter used for the fish and shrimp was very light. The Gumbo was very authentic. Don't be put off by the exterior look. It's an old Taco Bell. Very clean in side and the owner is very friendly.

Come on, really? 4 stars? This place was pretty good. The store is a pretty clean reworked Taco Bell shell. There are a lot of things on the menus, mostly fried. One of my guests had the steamed fish. His critique was "It's better than I expected for a place like this." I've been to many mom & pop places in towns that I would be afraid to walk through after dark that had amazing, fresh, home cooked food... This isn't one of them. I was very pleased with the fried catfish. I think it's easy for people to overcook catfish, which I hate. This catfish was not overcooked, it was fried "just right" but I doubt seriously that it was "fresh" like the window says. Most fresh fish isn't completely uniformly breaded (like frozen fish is). I had the gumbo which was good. The people were very friendly also, so it may warrant three and a half stars. In the end it ranks a little higher than a Long John Silvers, or an Arther Treachers (dating myself). We I in a hurry for lunch, I would probably go back again.

Great food. My friend and the fried shrimp platter with fried rice. The batter of the shrimp is superb and taste great. The fried rice was spiced and that was a good thing. A good surprise. I would eat here the next time in town.

Pro : great value, generous portions. Cons : a lot of fried dishes, boring atmosphere Come here if you're craving fried seafood but don't want to pay a lot. The food is actually not bad. The atmosphere is a cross between Dennys and the krusty crab. Servers are nice but the kitchen riff raff was sometimes loud and unprofessional.

Very good catfish! The best hush puppies I've ever had with bits of corn in them. The coleslaw is good also but you have to order that separately. I would come back if I didn't live in another state!

For the money you can't beat this place. Very clean, a little warm inside. All the food was fresh and made to order. We would come back again
