These folks always seem to run out of wings far too early. They are not great about posting where and when their truck pops up, so the only way to try their wings seems to be when they miraculously show up somewhere. Twice now I have tried to get food at their food truck and twice now after waiting in line for several minutes, they managed to run out of food. If you know you are low on food, at least let your line know so they don't waste time standing around. Would love to try the stuffed wings, but I've had it standing around wasting my time. Happy to re-review if by some miracle, I see them again and they don't run out of food.

This is a tough review! 2 Fat 2 Fly's stuffed wings are a solid 5. I recommend the mac and cheese! Moist, salty, and terrible for you. Their regular wings - 2.5. The cajun I ordered today were a little dry. Basil lemonade - 4. Ask for half lemonade, half tea. Fried okra - 4. Come early because the crowds swarm quickly!

Alright I think I may have had one of the best meals of my life tonight. Around 5:30 my girlfriend and I went to the new restaurant they opened "Wing City". Very small place and the line was out the door at 5:30! We waited about 45 minutes to order and 15 minutes to receive our food. WORTH THE WAIT! I figured I was still going to be starving since I only ordered 3 wings and two sides, but I was wrong. I got the sucka punch wings and the stuffed mac and cheese wings. The sucka punch were stuffed with cheese, bacon and jalapeños and were right up my alley! Every single owner made sure they made contact with each customer which was very welcoming and it was kind of cool to see everyone from the show! After one visit this may be my new favorite place to grab a beer and some food. Hopefully in the future they expand the restaurant so the wait isn't as long, but regardless of how the wait is I will be a customer! Good job guys, way more than just a niche market!

We had the stuffed loaded baked potato wings and the stuffed jambalaya wings w wiggle chips and some good tea for 20.00 in change. I can find them pretty easy on their website and locate them as it is a food truck. Come early because the lines were pretty long last week in the Vista. Was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised by the flavors and how well the wings were cooked. Here is an idea after ordering head to the river walk for a nice picnic in the shade when downtown instead of eating in your car or on the ground.

JAMBALAYA WINGS. Seriously. It's amazing. I love everyone on the truck too. Super friendly.

Good wings. New concept. People seemed nice. I wish them the best. I thought the Jambala were better then the mac n cheese.

I knew prior to coming to Columbia, SC that this was one of the stand-outs of the city. Seriously unique and in a class of its own. Stalk them on twitter, and get there early! Intro and Setting: Being a native to NYC I have seen a lot of food trucks in my day. 2 Fat 2 Fly instantly stands out from the food trucks of my past, and creates an inviting vibe right away. They do the food truck thing right by having a corky truck, a cool gimmick and moving the crowd at the right pace. Really enjoyed how smooth the service was, and the utilization of the iPad for payment was a stand out feature- separating it from many of the cash only vendors out there. Overall, great vibe. Food: The real show-stopper here is those stuffed chicken wings. I had mac and cheese and Jambalaya wings. Each bite was perfection. For me personally, the jambalaya was the better of the two- not to take away from the mac as it was great! The fillings were cooked nicely, the chicken was moist and there seems to be a strong attention to detail as to what fillings go in the wings. The fried okra was fantastic, and I even had some left over after my meal! Overall delicious, fun and unique! Conclusion: Stalk them on twitter and go! Again, even as a native New Yorker this is probably the best food truck I have been to. Service, food and style- all there.

If you see this truck parked and serving food, stop what you are doing and GET YOU SOME WINGS!! You will thank me later! 2 Fat 2 Fly isn't your ordinary chicken wing. They stuff their wings with everything from mac and cheese, to collard greens! My personal favorites are Cray Jay and Sucka Punch.

Un-clucking-believable is right, these chicken wangs are off the chain! I found 2 fat 2 fly while searching for restaurants for an upcoming visit to Irmo, SC. So, I came all the way from Orlando, FL to check out this food truck goodness. On the day of my visit they had a special which included 2 chicken wings stuffed with collard greens and rice, 4 buttermilk fried wings, cornbread and a side of my choice. I went with the hand cut fries. Everything was amazing! The stuffed wings were tender, juicy and just freakin' delicious. The fried wings had an awesome batter, salty and crunchy. And the fries were delish also. My dad came along with me for what I'm guessing was his first food truck experience and he was equally impressed. He had the same thing, except for a side of fried okra - he loved it all! So, thank you, 2 Fat 2 Fly!! Everyone go check them out.

These were some of the BEST wings ever! Just next time, I need to bring a book or something - the wait was about .5 hr. outside One-Eared Cow Glass for the truck to gimme my order of Sucka-Punch and Cay-Jay (??the one like the Jambalaya, but spicier). How do they do that, with the ingredients stuffed inside a pregnant-looking wing? They must use space-age culinologists (cooking scientists?)... I think even my wife, who hates wings, would enjoy these. They're like mini-chicken dinners served as a finger-food, not the greasy, fatty things you find at so many wing-joints (which I'll STILL slop down by the pound, but that's another story.

These guys get five stars because they work out of a damn truck and make awesome crazy wings. Each time I go I try a different stuffing and it's just amazing and tantalizing. The prices could be a little better but, 3 wings with a side might not sound like much but at 1am or 1pm its much more than you think and is an explosion on your mouth. Local guys winning, it just makes me smile :)

Ain't no thing like a chicken wing... except when it's stuffed! I finally caught up with Ramone and Corey over in front of Olympia & Granby this evening! I love the concept of a food truck, and hope to see more adaptations in the very near future, but it can sometimes make it difficult to collaborate with their schedule. Regardless, it's worth the hassle. They had four flavors on-menu this evening: Sucka Punch, Mac n' Cheese, Jambalaya & Smokehouse. In hindsight, I should have gone with the 8 piece, but I got 5 in: 2 Sucka Punch, 2 Mac n' Cheese & 1 Smokehouse. There was a little bit of a wait - about 10 minutes - but that's because the wings were dropped to order. No sitting around in boxes or under heat lamps, waiting to be rationed out. I ate the Sucka Punchs first, because their appearance played to my preference (I'm a dry rub man). The skin was fried perfectly, delicately crispy (none of that soggy, saggy skin...), waiting to be bitten through to reveal the tender and juicy flavors waiting beneath. The large piece(s) of jalapeno provide a dominant flavor here (it was almost like an entire pepper in there! How in the world did you ever manage to squeeze it into such a small space?). The other two flavors weren't fried crispy, as they were the saucy variety, but despite that the skin wasn't all fatty and soggy (soft, but taut) like you find in so many wings. The flavor from the Mac n' Cheese was almost indistinguishable, but the cheese sauce that the wings were tossed in helped amp it up a bit. The Smokehouse was probably the most robust, in terms of taste, as the bacon & cheddar filling really popped out and complimented the sweet BBQ sauce. I really hope the guys at 2Fat2Fly and the folks over at Bone-In BBQ find success in their ventures, because this is what Columbia needs. This is good eats, folks, and both of these trucks have found the secret to (eventual) success: the small and simple niche menus allow them to be creative without being overwhelmed, which is reflected in the quality of their products.

I first experienced 2Fat at the State Fair, after hearing many rumors about how great they are. As soon as I had my first taste I was floored. Their stuffed wings are incredible. So far I have tried the Thanksgiving, Mac & Cheese, and Smokehouse and they are all 100 times better than any chicken wing I have ever had. They come with either fries or okra, the latter of which is out of this world. Seriously the best okra I've ever had. My only complaint, if you can call it one, is that it's a truck and not a restaurant, so I can't always go out and get it when I'm having a craving, which I have had way too often since my first taste.
