Staff gets 5 stars, for being friendly helpful and up beat. They prepared my order in a timely manner and had it correct. Inside of it gets 3 stars because there are some things that could be more pleasing to the eye, namely the ceiling. 4 for my bagel it was delicious and flavorful. So overall a good solid 4. Didn't try their coffee and that may have change this rating but for now with all things I encountered considered, a 4 star bagel place.

Maybe one of the best bagel shops around...but... Location is hard to get in and out of. Drive-thru is horrible. Have been there many times. The wait is long, even if there is no line. How?, well there seems to be many people behind the counter, but they must all be working for the drive-thru people. No one pays attention to you even if they know you're there. You pay and wait, and wait. Too bad, I will still go for the bagels, but thy really need to clean up their act. Frank G

I'm not wild about bagels as a rule of thumb, but these are always fresh and delicious. They also have other options such as salads, and sandwiches on wheat bread. You can also get a baker's dozen for a great price. Good alternative to donuts for a quick tasty breakfast, and they open before most people get up in the morning.

Love Bruegger's! We go here mostly on Sundays before church, but I sometimes come during the week to get a sandwich and salad combo. Very affordable and quick to order. Their cookies are so good! You have to have one you know! Enjoy the staff, the manager has been there the longest and shes really nice, she remembers us!

Best bagels downtown. I didn't know this place existed till I googled bagel places in charleston. I wasn't very happy with my experience at the bagel shop on George street. Breugger's continuously makes fresh bagels all day long and you can always see which are fresh and hot. They have lots of options and even a drive through. It can be a little tricky getting there by car since it is in the middle of the connector, but definitely worth the trip!

So far he drive through line has set me back about 25 minutes, they do not have the bagel ready that goes on my chorizo jack bagel and asked me to substitute a different bagel in and now that I've paid, it's taking forever to get my bagel..... Noooot a happy camper. I've had it once before and that's where the craving came from- can't say I'll be back, at least not before work because this is ridiculous.

I was raised in New York, so I'm more or less a bagel SNOB. And I'm okay with that. Since moving to Charleston, my husband and I have tried various bagel places in an attempt to find something even remotely similar to the ones we had and adored in New York (and if you've never been up there to have a bagel, I suggest you buy a plane ticket and go immediately; you won't regret it). I saw that this was supposedly in the NY style, so we went to judge their claim. It's as close to a NY bagel as we can find, though severely lacking in size. But the harder outside and softer inside is one of the many things I love about NY bagels, and their strawberry cream cheese was excellent.

Easy access into parking. It has been years since I've been here. I use to work down the street years ago and enjoyed visiting this place with my co workers. They have a great Bagel selection. My daughter enjoyed the rosemary & olive oil bagel. While my son enjoyed the cinnamon raisin. My husband had a bowl of roasted tomato soup which he kept saying was so good. He said it would taste so good with a bagel. (he couldn't eat a bagel because he was on a liquid diet per dr orders). I had the new salad called the mediterranean mozzarella salad. It was delish!!!!!! If only I said no almonds because they were quite salty. The dressing is so good. The manager was wonderful while the other employee was blah. The restroom was ok.

I guess bagels aren't really a southern thing. I've never had one up north to know what's authentic or not, but I tried Bruegger's up in Charlotte and wanted to try out the one here in Charleston when I figured out we had one. The bagel I had at brueggers was cranberry apple (seasonal) and it was delicious. Pumpkin is another great seasonal variety. I also got light cream cheese with my bagel. There are tons of bagels and cream cheeses to choose from, along with lots of breakfast sandwiches and some lunch items. It's small inside, but there is a drive through and there's parking. A little tough to get in and out of, but that's the story everywhere in Downtown Charleston. The staff at Bruegger's are also super nice. I'm definitely looking forward to returning and trying more items. Conveniently located close to several hospitals and businesses downtown.

Fantastic for a quick lunch, however, it's very difficult to get to if you're walking from the Holiday Inn across the street. However, they had delicious sandwiches and amazing sweet tea that we risked our lives to get!

This is one of the few ok places to eat around The Citadel for lunch, although it's a bitch trying to get to it due to the 'effed up nature of the Crosstown. Not Bruegger's fault though. I've been a fan of Bruegger's since college, as this is a Northern based chain. I was excited when one turned up down the street from where I work. I LOVE their iced coffee. I am not sure, but I think they cold brew it, like they should. If they don't then they do a good job at making it. They offer some nice deals, like a $5 meal deal on Wednesdays that include a deli sandwich, chips and a drink. Combine that with the occasional Groupon, and you've got an even better deal. The bagels are pretty good, and I love that they are stocked with a huge variety. Their salads are ok, and they have at least 2 or 3 soups available everyday. I have to give a shout out to one of the employee's, Sean (he might be a manager, not sure). He is so pleasant to interact with. I genuinely enjoy going there when he is working because I know I will be treated kindly. I also see that he treats the other employees with kindness and patience. Oh, they have free wifi too!

Easy to access, design your fav breakfast or lunch. A great meeting spot, too. Take some bagels and pumpkin cream cheese to go, or take it as a gift. Take your time ordering, because the options are all tempting.

I didn't come with very high expectations, and this restaurant couldn't seem to even meet those. The coffee was awful and the egg in my bagel sandwich was cold. I never really compelled to write reviews, let alone negative ones but i wouldn't recommend wasting your time at this place.

bruegger's doesn't know what a bagel is. They have other stuff and all but when I go to a bagel shop I go for bagels... as few and far between such shops are here. The bagel I ordered had texture of wonder bread. That is epic fail. No wonder they asked me if I wanted it toasted!!!

Finally, bagels return to the peninsula! You can get that pumpernickel bagel, with chive & onion cream cheese, without crossing a river. Bruegger's also makes sandwiches, soups, salads, and boxed lunches. This location has a drive-through, if you're into that kind of thing, as well as a dining area. The "national chain" vibe is unshakable, so you probably won't want to hang out here.
