Best local breakfast. Get the shrimp n grits. Just trust me on this one. ;) The atmosphere is friendly and it's casual. Sunday morning are pretty busy so I avoid going at that time.

have eaten here 5 times, good food and the only grits I have ever ordered that were worth eating. prices are average for the area. owners are usually there and are very nice. we will go back.

Food is consistently excellent here. I usually have the soup and half sandwich - my husband has the Hungry Man sandwich (which is so big he can not finish it). It does take longer to get served and they are always busy, but it is the type of place you go to sit, socialize, and enjoy the food. It is NOT McDonalds - so if you want a meal in boxed hurry ... wrong place. If you want to sit at the counter, most likely with one of the owners filing your cup of coffee and talk about the thoughts of the day, then go! If Cheers had a local place...this is it. It is warm and invited...and you don't feel shoved out the door.

Breakfast should not take 20 minutes to be served! Doesn't make since. Food is ok , but not worth the wait. And... If you are searching yelp for bars and this place shows up , don't go! They don't even have bloody Mary's or mamosa's. NO ALCOHOL. which is probably a good thing considering the wait time, I would have time to drink myself under the table before my food arrived. Good thing they kept my sub par coffee filled.

Not what we were hoping for. Too expensive and food wasn't anything to write home about. Grits were awful and hash browns were was over done. We will not be back.

This restaurant is getting 2 stars instead of 1 because the food is ok. The service gets slower and slower every time I have eaten here. The owners make it known if you complain that they have an inadequate kitchen for the size space they have only having a six burner oven. They also aren't scared to bad mouth other customers or employees in front of you if you sit at the bar. The portions have also been reduced but prices and slow service have remained. If you enjoy good food at a snails pace then this is the place for you. I will not be returning. The food doesn't make up for lack of customer service.

Although we really enjoyed looking at all of the restaurant's decor, the food was less than desirable. They do have a rather large menu, but no one at my table enjoyed what they ordered. The jalapeños were so hot that my husband couldn't even enjoy his omlet... And we are from Louisiana folks! We eat spicy food every day! I had the quiche and let's just say that I left hungry. It was AWFUL! The servers are friendly and the place was clean, so we give them 3 stars.

Your basic diner...no muss, no fuss breakfast foods. While the prices are reasonable...the waitresses usually have too many tables so that leaves lots of times waiting for a coffee warmup.

We loved this place! Three stooges era pics on the walls including Lucy, Rat Pack, Our Gang, Andy Griffith, etc. etc. Gilligan's Island on TV. Not to mention the food was FABULOUS!!! We had breakfast. I had the eggs benadict with ham and my husband had a sampler plate. We were both VERY pleased. Spoke with the owners on the way out, who were very nice. Clean, good service, and delicious!! Highly recommended!

My hubby and I were on our way home and stopped here for breakfast. The parking lot was full we thought that would be a good sign, well not so. First off the parking lot was full because they were very slow. I ordered the waffles they were so undercooked they were mushy. The hubs order the Fat Boy which came with eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, hash browns & pancakes. The biscuit was so hard he had to practicality saw it in half with his knife. The eggs, sausage and hash browns were average and the pancakes were undercooked and tasteless. When we come back down to Hilton Head we will definitely NOT eat here! Not really sure how they received the best breakfast in Hilton Head award in 2011 & 2012 because it was terrible!

To be frank, I just do not know where to begin as Stooges Cafe has me a little lost for words and that's darn near impossible. Having driven by the location multiple times, for whatever reason, I just did not stop in, which is extremely unfortunate as I have wasted good breakfast and lunch meal money elsewhere. I have a Bluffton breakfast list, which I will be adding Stooges to, so I feel I review with some level of knowledge in the area. Upon stepping inside, right away you notice the place is very clean and modern, with huge granite bar and table tops (the minor problem with that is that your coffee looses its heat quicker than normal) two large LCD TV's which are non-intrusive at all. The name 'Stooges' comes from the 3 stooges and the 2 O's in StOOges is alfalfa's eyes and cowlick hair, on the second O. Inside adorning the walls are pictures of many 1950's TV personalities from the Little Rascals, 3 Stooges (not we know)Abbott and Costello, I Love Lucy and more. There are 3 separate dining areas from the large bar area to the larger general eating room to a secluded back area for private parties The menu is full of great options for breakfast and lunch, Served all Day! Apps are very non typical including sweet potato fries, Tumbleweed onion with cream cheese sauce, half sandwich with choice of soup or salad, which I love to have that option. Every area of the menu is creative and unique, you can tell they put significant thought into the creation of it: Here are a few examples: Salad:Low-country Salad-fried green tomatoes, grilled shrimp on grilled romaine with bacon, shrimp salsa and grit croutons. That's just a salad option and the rest of the menu again, reflects thought and delivers on quality. There are many other non unique items to choose from for the more bland eaters, poor souls. The breakfast special is $4.99 for 2 eggs, hash brown's/grits (get the grits! toast and coffee. The point is their prices are extremely fair, even though they have excellent fare. TRY THIS PLACE!!

I don't normally eat here but I did a couple times lately. I am not easily wowed but I was the other day. I got take out and left without my plastic ware. The owner ran out into parking lot to catch me in my car to hand it to me. That is going above and beyond. Well done.

My wife have visited for lunch several times. We have enjoyed each meal. I took my very picky father for lunch this week. He was able to find something he enjoyed. The servers are friendly.

Passed this cafe hundreds of times since it opened. Always wondered why so many cars parked outside in morning. Curiousity satisfied today and had first meal(beakfast) of Heuvos Ranchetos. Was outstanding!!! So crowded I had to sit at counter but made no difference. Service great and was treated graciously by hostess/waitress. I'll be back.
