We've never been here since we moved here nearly a year ago. We'll be back! Located in an old barn, its packed full of cow decorations, if you like that sort of thing. Pretty brief menu. Good choices. My shrimp and grits were very good. Generous on the shrimp, but I think it could have been a larger portion. The beet salad was nice sized and tasty. We also got the peel and eat shrimp. We're used to seeing large servings of peel and eat shrimp. On this, we got 8. Sort of disappointing. The shrimp was also rubbery..either over cooked or cooked long ago. We're looking forward to returning for breakfast.

Stopped by for breakfast while in route from Savannah to Charleston. We were extremely happy with the food, service and hospitality. I especially enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. Would not hesitate to recommend. So what are you waiting for?

Was better before they moved to Pepper's. Bacon was burnt eggs were over cooked. Grits tasted like they were instant. The only thing good was the coffee

Not only is this a good lunch place (We haven't had breakfast there, yet)... but it is also a great catering place!!! Food is "delish"! Service is so friendly, personal, and local, and they go above and beyond! Thanks :-)

It's really just an okay and a bit overpriced. Nothing I have ordered has been fantastic. AVERAGE food at high prices.

The best pancakes in the WORLD!!! Don't believe me just ask my kids lol. My kids ask to come her every week for breakfast just to get the pancakes. I have three kids , and I just order the full stack and that feeds all three of them for $6. Can't beat it, great people, great atmosphere great local cooking!!!!!

After learning how to paddle board at Strand and Paddle, I asked my awesome instructor Roddy where we a good place to grab a bite to eat. He pointed me to the Sippin Cow, only a couple of blocks away from the dock. The first time, I passed it right up and didn't notice their sign. Once I found it and looked at the reviews I was skeptical, but boy would that soon change. I stepped right on in to a welcoming lady with a warm smile asking me what I would like to eat. After glancing over the menu I decided on eating the breakfast burrito with a side oatmeal. As I waited on their porch for my food I talked with some locals and pet a very friendly dog. When the food finally arrived I was excited just at first glance. And then they had me at first bite. The burrito was soo good. The cheese blended well with the sausage, pico and banana peppers. Granted after a couple of bites the banana peppers became a little much so I just took them out. It was one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had!! Escape from the the tourist trap of HHI and check out Blufton

When mom can't cook breakfast Christy will. Mom quit cooking years ago. Go to the Cow...breakfast like Mom used to cook. She might even ask if you washed behind your ears.

Drove down to SC to visit family and decided to drive around, found this low country cute cafe! The staff was great, the food came quick and the prices were good! Such a quaint little place! I loved its quirkiness! Definitely revisiting!

We stopped in for a quick bite to eat at lunch on a weekday. So many things looked good, we asked for advice from the nice lady taking our order...we got great honest advice and she did not steer us wrong! I had the Italian, hot. It was huge and delicious, brought half of it home and still felt full for a few hours after eating! My parents had a blackened chicken wrap, and the roast beef.sandwich ..both had very tasty bacon, tons of meat. The burger was huge and a chocolate shake was a great treat. Loved all the bread options, very fresh and tasty. Service was friendly and helpful. Food came quick. It was clear this place is a favorite with the locals because the owner knew everyone who came in by name. Always a great sign. We would go back.

Delicious comfort food! Their potato salad is fantastic, I could order just that as a meal; its that good. A freshie for me and a Cuban for my other half, we both were very happy, and satisfied with out meal. Very eclectic, but very welcoming set up. Corrugated tin on the walls, cut out images from magazines, books on shelves, a splash of cow print here and there, artsy napkin holders. The staff is great! I ordered hot tea, and the lady behind the counter suggested I try Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice tea. She looked for the restaurant stock, but they were out. As we were waiting on our meal she brought me one of her own. Definitely recommend.

Best location for brunch in the area! This is one of those small town gems that you search for. This was our first time here and met the owner, Christy. She is the type of person that is attentive to every detail and demands only the best of everything that comes out of her kitchen. Since it is the people that really take a place with good food from 4 stars to 5.....I am confident in this 5 star rating. I had the crab cake Benedict which was excellent....no skimping on the crab in this Benedict. Others in our group tried the southwestern omelette, which was large and packed with a multitude of fresh and delicious ingredients. We also tried the French toast, which I would put up against a fancy brunch locale anywhere where you could easily pay 3x as much and receive less. If you're in the Hilton Head / Bluffton area this is definitely worth a trip over for a top-notch brunch in a quaint laid back setting without the high prices! You will not be disappointed with the quality of ingredients, flavor combinations, and attentiveness to detail.

The short review: GO!!! The long review: Suspend all knowledge of healthy eating and order biscuits and gravy. We all know it's bad (a clog & a clot) but, dang, as a rare special treat you can't beat The Sippin' Cow. Maybe they have healthy options on the menu. I wouldn't know. We've been there twice and we ordered biscuits and gravy both times. I did limit myself to a half order last time and that was plenty. Extremely casual, comfortable, laid back. Screened porch if you like. Service is friendly and mostly efficient. They have flavored coffee in one of the serve-yourself carafes--thank you! Regulars saunter in and are greeted by other locals. Regulars help themselves to a cup of coffee before placing an order. Regulars may even know if there are healthy choices on the menu. I wouldn't know and don't care.

Sipping Cow Cafe is a small breakfast and lunch establishment off the main drag of HWY 278 in Bluffton. If your looking for a straight forward, home cooking country breakfast, your at the right place. I have eated there 6-8 times, as I live close by. I had origionally given this location 4 stars, but the service I recieved last time I was there was awful! The girl was unattentive, rude to the point that I am re-rating my review, which I have never done prior. I wasthe only person in there and I had to approach the counter for my food and my check, the server has a lousey attitude. What a foolish person. I have no idea who she thinks she is serving, but I will never return. HORRIBLE SERVICE!! Off to Squat and Gobble for my breakfast..

ok. this place is kind of weird me thinks. we go in and sit down our first time and finally a woman comes over to tell us to order at the counter. we do. turns out the routine goes like this; enter, pick up a menu, order at the counter, get your own coffee, wait for food that someone will bring you. eat, refill your own coffee buss your own table pay at the counter, pay for coffee that was supposed to be included with what you ordered . give someone a 20% tip. my memory isn't as good as it used to be so if I can't remember the rules I'll probably go across the street to squat and gobble next time and feel better about the tip. by the way the food was good, the new blond waitress(?)was terrible. she chose to talk to her husband while we waited 20 min for her to make another pot of SELF SERVE coffee. charge full price for self service; weird.
