Went there last week for an early bird special. I had the $18.95 special, with black bean soup, sirloin steak, horseradish mashed potatoes and veggies. The soup was a large serving, but fairly tasteless. Just a little bay leaf. Please- add some onion and green pepper, cumin, and garnish. This area is known for " is it spicy? I can't eat spicy!" senior citizen customers so maybe that has scared the chefs off. Hubby has salmon which was nicely cooked. Also had a very tasty crab dip- small serving but then crab is expensive. Included a very nice glass of wine.

A welcome addition to Bluffton! The decor is lovely, and as a wine drinker I appreciated sitting amongst the many bottles! The food was superb, starting with the bread and fresh herb butter. I rarely ask for more bread, but we finished a whole second basket; SO SO GOOD! We also had a feature salad which was a very good portion size, made with exceptionally fresh ingredients. The mahi mahi, sea bass and shrimp and grit entrees were excellent; portion size was large, fishes cooked perfectly and the grits were fabulous! Similarly, the dessert special, a lemon pie was perfection: the exact right balance of tart and sweet. The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is the restaurant temperature; it was way too warm for me. We ate at two Bluffton restaurants this past weekend, and this was without question the better of the two. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

This is a hidden gem in the back of Bluffton. As a small town location with resort quality atmosphere and food, we completely enjoyed our meal. There is an extensive wine list with a full bar. The menu ranges from steaks to seafood with yummy desserts. I had the salmon - it was perfectly cooked with plenty of flavor. My husband had the scallops and lobster mac-n-cheese. The chocolate gnash and creme brulee were very good as well. This is a great place for a birthday or anniversary dinner - as well as a night out with friends.

Emily was a excellent server and the early dinner special is a great price. I got a steak with mashed potatoes and loved it. Even their bread was excellent. I loved the atmosphere and appreciated noting the manager walking around checking on the tables to ensure they were doing well. I will definitely be back.

Dinner tonight was great. We had the sword fish special and scallops which were both great. We sat at the bar and had great service. We have eaten here 4 or 5 times and never been disappointed. Will definitely be back

From what I understand, this is a relatively new location for Red Fish.... I've also been told the building used to be a post office... Aside from maybe the parking lot itself, it's pretty hard to tell. The building has nice trellises outside and a nice patio area with a nice fireplace and space heaters. Inside, they have done a great job hiding any trace of the post office... Modern / industrial look with a touch of class, lots of wine. Great job, looks great! I started the journey with the double dirty martini... Opted out for the optional sweet Italian vermouth...not sure it was the right decision or not, but I wasn't thrilled with the martini; It was just okay. However, that's where mediocre ended... We split the goat cheese salad, plenty to split and very tasty! For my entre, I had the grilled sea bass.... It was awesome, it was served over udon noodles with seaweed salad on the side. I really enjoyed it... At the table, we had two that had the Scottish salmon and one that had the crab cakes.... All were very pleased. Red Fish has nice wine and drink selection too. All in all, a great choice for dinner!

This is the new Bluffton location of the Hilton Head restaurant Red Fish. The interior is nicely decorated with good atmosphere. The menu is filled with flourishes that make everything sound great. The cocktails we had left something to be desired - too much liquor and not enough flavor. Mine was the Southern Cross - a vodka, iced tea, and pear drink. Girlfriend had the mojito, her go-to drink which she said was just ok here. My appetizer was the fried goat cheese salad which was awesome. For an entree I had the Latin ribs which were good but not spectacular. Gf had the shrimp and crab cake burger which she didn't really care for. Another companion had the Kansas City strip which I tasted and really liked but was too heavily seasoned for his tastes and wasn't cooked Pittsburgh style as he ordered. Service wasn't great. Wasn't that busy and there were long delays for things other than food/drinks, like water refilling. Also, the pitcher one of the staff was using to refill our glasses ran out of water and he never came back to refill the rest of our glasses without me waving him over. All in all, decent food but the food and service don't live up to the menu or atmosphere.

Very average dinner here tonight. Average service and decent food, but not worth the price. I have no problem paying for a quality meal, but there was nothing special about this experience.

This place is very nice and modern. They did very nice renovation, very big selection of wine.but the service is not so good. And it's start from there manager. He is very impolite and don't care about clients. The dish of my friends was very over salted and he did not do anything about. Didn't not take it back or apologize about. When we was ordering wine he just sit at our table and his recommendation about wine was unprofessional. I had scallops and lobster macaroni and cheese..scallops was undercooked but lobster macaroni and cheese was unbelievable good. This place have many potential but they need to do many changes. I can see owner invest so much money in this place and its need to adjust to perfection . Place is nice food have a potential, just need to change the management and make food to the perfection and this will be a very good restaurant..

Seemed very overpriced for something I could have easily made myself and the spinach under my salmon was very bitter. Two of the salmon dishes the naked and the spiced version are the exact same dish with just some sprinkling on top and yet they charge you a couple bucks more. The rice they give you is not very appetizing and the walnuts don't compliment the dish well. Service was slow but we went when there was a bunch of people there.

Had an awesome experience here. The food was much better than I would have expected for the money. I had Seabass, and it was killer. I will be back for sure. We hit lots of restaurants in Savannah and Bluffton. This was a pleasant surprise. The chef was top notch

Great meal. Ordered the special, seared tuna steak. Cooked perfectly, great selection of liquor too.

Ate from Early menu, had steak which was prepared exactly as ordered (pink center) and tasted good. Wife had veggie plate and raved about quality and quantity. Drinks (wine ) was good, service excellent sat at bar table and waiter (Thomas) more than catered to us. Deserts good - should have shared.

This was our first visit to any restaurant since moving to the area. Our real estate agent suggested the place for our celebration. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the wine selection wraps around the place! Our table was impressed from the appetizers to dessert! We enjoyed ourselves so much we were the last table! We will have to return many times.

Went on a Sat evening at 615. Service was excellent. Food was great quality but was not full of much flavor. Lobster mac didn't seem to have much salt. The firecracker calamari didn't have much fire cracker to it either. The jumbo scallops were flavorful as well as the flounder. Overall, it was ok but I would go back & give it another try because of the service.
