Fantastic pizza - we had Greek pizza with sausage. The crust is hand tossed - not too thin or too thick and has great flavor. Cheese is flavorful, veggies crunchy. Pizzas by the slice or whole. This is a small place but includes a bar and patio service. Service is friendly, attentive, and helpful. Watch the pizzas being made (dough occasionally being thrown) right in front of you. Love, love, love the pizza. Have also had soup, salad, and subs on other occasions. Retro music (Pat Benatar, Eagles).

Of all of the traditional (New York style) pizza places in Bluffton, this is our favorite. We order fairly regularly, and it's very good. The only drawback I've noticed is that it's not very consistent - sometimes the pizza is amaaaazing and sometimes it's just kind of "meh." I don't know if it's different chefs on different nights, but on average the pizza is very good. On the plus side, they deliver! Woohoo! On the minus side, they don't deliver before 5, and if you order around peak hours (7ish) you may wait a while for your pizza, but not to worry - it's hot and fresh when it gets there!

Late in the evening I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza to go. Pizza was ready as soon as I got there. The host asked if I wanted any parmesan or paper plates. I appreciated the plates since I was staying at a hotel nearby. Didn't see a big difference in the pizza, but would suggest this place.

I went here for the first time today. NYCP is located in a very nice part of town. It's mainly older adults. That's a big plus because, in certain parts of Bluffton, you have to deal with a lot of loud and drunk young adults. I did not have that problem here and they have a bar in their establishment. I ordered 2 slices and a coke. It came out to $7.83. Not bad at all. I was not expecting prices to be that competitive since the place is located in what seems like a high rent area. The pizza was very good and, overall, the feel of the place was very comforting. I see that some people have complained that the pizza is too greasy. Having grown up in New York, that is a characteristic of NY style pizza. If the grease bothers you too much, pat it down with a napkin before you eat it. Problem solved. As far as the service goes, the manager is the best part of the place. He acknowledges customers as they are entering or leaving. It does create a welcoming atmosphere. The waitresses, on the other hand, are not that good. All my waitress had to do was refill my drink once and that seemed hard for her to do. I did show up after there busy time, so that may have played a role. She could have been tired. I was less than three feet from her when I got off my chair to leave and she said absolutely nothing to me. It was the manager who, in a firm and loud voice, stated, "Take care sir and have a good night." Good save. I did not take off anything for that. I ate for less than 8 dollars. I can't complain too much. The food is very good for the price. I would recommend this place to friends.

Ate here last night on vacation, not impressed with our final dinner choice. Restaurant looked clean, decor was nice. Our waitress needs a little coaching in her wording with customers (do you want ketchup? Do you want more water? How about "would you like? Or, "can I get you anything else?"), as well as hiding her cell phone use at the register. Very unprofessional. I'm not a fan of eating off plates or anything after being handled with cell phone fingers. Who knows what germs are on that thing?! She also didn't give me happy hour price for my drink, which I asked her to fix, with no apology after. Breadsticks were good; VERY garlic-y, but good. Pizza was... Ok. Had the traditional NY style. Not enough sauce, too much oil/grease. With all that being said, they seemed to have regulars come in multiple times, so they must be doing something right. This just wasn't my favorite pizza place or best waitress interaction, and I probably wouldn't go back if I lived in the area.

Best pizza in Bluffton/Hilton Head! Great lunch specials as well. The rest of the menu is dope as well. Fried zucchini sticks are amazing, and come with a sweet marinara I could drink by itself. The baked ziti is delicious -- super fresh pasta, and the sauce has just a touch of cream in it. Philly cheese steak is awesome, especially with marinara. The staff is great -- super friendly and prompt!

I am so done with this place! First time we ate here it here the service was really slow, but the pizza was pretty good. In no way does it compare to New York pizza, but for being in the south, not bad. Second time I ordered take-out, a chicken parm grinder. I was told it would be 45 minutes, which seemed ridiculous for one sandwich, but it was a Friday night and I was out shopping in the area, so I let it go. When I picked up it was complete chaos in this place, people all over the place waiting to be seated or picking up food. Fifteen minutes later I pay for my grinder and head home, a good 10 min away. I go to eat my grinder, and it's veal, not chicken! I called, spoke to manager, who said it was unlikely it was veal, which pissed me off, so I told him I was bringing it back and he said he would have another one waiting for me. So, I went back, had grinder in hand and gave it to the manager, who I had spoken to. He was taken aback and told me he didn't need the grinder back. I told him I had no use for it and I wanted him to see that it was indeed veal. He looked, agreed it was veal and said the other grinder would be up in 5 min and disappeared. I stood there like an idiot for 20 min while this manager was running all over the place. Every time I tried to get his attention he looked away. Finally, the bartender was like what are you waiting for, I told her and she looks on top of the counter with all the take out orders and grabs my grinder, which I realise has been sitting there the whole time. She was apologetic and thought the manager was on top of it. He never came back, never apologised and didn't even offer to comp me. The chicken parm grinder was not worth all the hassle! You think I would have learned my lesson, but I gave them another chance. I did take out again, chicken parm, I went to pick it up and the same manager waited on me. I actually opened the grinder to double check and I saw veal! He was like, oh I remember we had this problem before, this is definitely chicken, we pound it so it's really thin. I couldn't imagine why he would lie to me, I was like, ok, I even thought I was a little crazy. I get home and open my grinder, half was chicken, the other cut half was indeed veal! It was so obvious. This place is ridicule and the manager is arrogant. You can do better elsewhere. Ps. I never write reviews, this is my first one. Sorry for the novel

Please read, as I like most, normally bypass really negative reviews! I wish there was a no star option after our miserable visit to an obnoxious, and horrible experience we just encountered at this "place". I say place because a Restaurant, it is not, it's a place next to Kroger in Bluffton. Let's begin shall we? If you have ever read, or considered using my opinions after reading any of my reviews you will notice a trend; fair, and the truth. I usually wait a few days, or if I am traveling the time to get home and post here. But this "place" deserves immediate attention, so here goes: Staff at first: friendly and accommodating until we realize there is a drunk in the front of the place that is so loud, even after being seated in the very back we can still hear every word coming out of his filthy mouth, and the waitress seems pissed that we even mentioned it. What? You want this guy greeting a new customer for a first visit instead of a manager, host or owner with bad behavior and language? Really? I had heard bad things about this place, but geez...we ordered the chopped salad. Now, I love my salad in smaller pieces, but it was prepared like a bad slaw, drowning in water. We asked said waitress to split as she even stated its a large portion, and she would split it for us. Came to the table on one plate, not split. After noticing we were not eating, was asked if something was wrong? At this point, things were going so badly, we politely asked for a second plate, which she delivered...a second plate. No apology for not doing what she said she was going to do with the salad from the beginning and then charged us extra after the fact for another two ounces of dressing. Pizza: Greasy. So greasy, I held up the hot out of the oven slice I ordered for only ten seconds, and one and a half tablespoons of grease fell onto the plate! (when I returned home an hour ago, I took a similar sized small plate using water and measured by the teaspoon how much grease would take to fill it to the same level after ten seconds). Management: Worst part of this place, no wonder no one cares, huh? Came over after seeing the crap dripping out of the pizza, and listening in on my wife's and my conversation about the quality of their product they put on the pizza, specifically, their sausage. His quote,"I overheard your conversation about my sausage, and what is wrong with it? Now why is a manger as he introduced himself asking this question instead of being professional, after we told said waitress we did NOT want to discuss things with anyone after sending our salad back? Oh and by the way, we get our check before we had come close to finishing. Now this guy had been sitting with his buddies at the table directly behind us, and after leaving our table says in a loud voice, "nothing wrong with my sausage, best pizza in town!" to which all his buddies chime in and agree with him. If that's not unprofessional enough for you, later he went to the front of the bar, and starts drinking and eating in plain view of all his patrons while on duty. The last straw was him pointing us out to others at the bar, shaking his head, making us feel completely unwelcome! I guess in you are a patron in this place management does not care about or want your opinion about bad food and service. I have had bad service, and bad food in the past. But the behavior of this staff's management is beyond compare. It is the worst I have ever experienced in my life. Update: appears they have their staff writing reviews to counter mine. What pieces of$&@'

I read the reviews on this site and being mixed, I decided to see for myself. Now, I'm reviewing the pizza. I figured since it says "NY City Pizza", than that's what they specialize in. It makes no sense to me to comment on a salad when they say they have the best NY style pizza in town. In my opinion, the pizza was awesome. I didn't find it overly greasy. The sauce was not overpowering with sweet or salt. Just right, the way pizza sauce should be. The crust was divine. Nice and thin yet had a good chew. Was able to fold and nothing slipped off. The boarder crust was flaky and and cooked lightly so if you want to reheat a slice, it will still be perfect. The bottom was not doughy but had a crisp to it as well. On the pizza we had sliced sausage, and the sausage had good flavor. The pepperoni was, well... pepperoni. The mushrooms were sliced fresh, not canned. The overall experience of the pizza was very good. Best I've had in a long time since B-Town closed down. I ordered with a young girl, very nice, courteous and helpful. I went back 20 min later when they said it would be done and a young gent cashed me out. He was very nice as well. The establishment seemed clean and orderly. But I didn't really go past the door/bar area either. I will be going back to get their pizza and will tell others of my experience.

We have eaten at this NYCP twice now and have been very pleased both times. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. It is a small sport bar atmosphere. They have "specials" each weeknight. Monday night was "all-you-can-eat" spaghetti & meatballs and one serving was completely filling. Definitely plan to go back there.!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations.
