Excellent food and service! Our combo plates of enchilada and taco were absolutely delicious! If this weren't our last night in South Carolina we would definitely be back.

Good Mexican Food! This is a very nice restaurant - Nice and clean, open and airy, and very good food! The Mexican food served here is very simple and very good! When I'm not sure about a Mexican restaurant I always go for the basics...Chimichanga or Tacos Carne Asada. It seems these are the go-to staples found in most Mexican restaurants. I had the pork chimichanga with green tomatillo sauce. The tortilla is stuffed with beans and pork, fried in oil until golden brown, covered with sauce and served with a large dalliop of sour cream. The pork was very flavorful and tender, the green tomatillo sauce was nice and tangy-Very good! The salsa was also very good- more of a Pico de gallo type rather than the bland tomato sauce typically served at other Mexican restaurants. It really does make a difference when there are some chopped tomatoes, onions, and chiles!! Thank You!! They have a full bar- I've been told they make an awesome margarita, however this time I couldn't resist the Victoria beer! One other thing- this restaurant offers Italian food- pizzas and calzones. This seems like a strange combination with Mexican fare? However, someone told me they serve a good pizza.

Tasty and hits the spot for a Mexican food craving. There are not a ton of vegetarian options so I ordered a bean quesadilla and it worked out to be delicious. My husband got something with shrimp, and they charged more for it than the menu led us to believe. The pizza is not too special, it's pizza. At a Mexican place.

So, I am in Bluffton visiting some folks and we decide to have Mexican food for lunch. They said this place was great and they weren't lying! I had the shrimp fajitas and they were excellent in every way possible. It was just the right amount of grilled onions and peppers mixed with the shrimp. And i do thank them for cleaning the shrimp as some restaurants don't! The salsa they brought to the table was very fresh. Our waiter was an older gentlemen, I think his name was Martin. He was very nice and attentive but sometimes a little too much & it became a little annoying. Just like any other restaurant, there are probably items on the menu you want to stay away from. Some of the other reviews might fall into that category. For me the food and customer service was good.

Horrible service. Food was even worse. Salsa was even bad. How can a Mexican restaurant mess up salsa!? Waitress Dawn never smiled, hardly talked at all really, and never came back!! Had to find my own silverware and napkins. Ordered the queso dip and it came with very few chips. She never came back so we could get more chips so it sat wasted. Very disappointed. Won't be back.

I ordered pizza for take-out. They have my favorite pizza in Bluffton. When I paid I was not given all of my change. I had been at Mi Tierra (same owners, different restaurant in Bluffton) the day before and was not given all of my change there either. This has happened to me numerous times (at least five) at Mi Tierra. Not sure what's up with this and why they wouldn't want to treat loyal customers better.

    (12) of us went to dinner the night after a weekend long Wedding Celebration. The service was good and the food was above average Mexican. Nothing out of the ordinary for Mexican fare. The pricing was about the same as other Mexican Restaurants.

We went and thought it wasn't great. Food was ok. We ordered Mexican, no pizza. The service was ok, not bad but they were rushed and stressed from the weekday dinner crowd.

Worst mexican restaurant I have ever been to. For starters it's very dirty. I ordered regular chicken nachos (they charge you for nachos supreme) and they don't even put queso on it!! I asked for some queso and they gladly gave me some queso and charged me 3 dollars for it! What mexican restaurant serves nachos without queso? And the bartender was a complete butt about it and made it very clear he didn't care one way or another.

The reviews are VERY misleading. It's simply awful. They work very hard but it's just not good.

Food was legit. Not too greasy or covered in cheese like most Mexican places around here. Salsa was home made. It's weird that they also serve pizza here but my son had it, and it was good as well. Service was friendly and the place was clean.

Very good restaurant. Happy atmosphere, good Mexican food, and their pizza is great for those in your party that want something different. Carnitas Burrito is amazing and I love their salsa.

The food was okay, but the service was terrible. We had an older gentleman as or server. We sat for 10 minutes before he came to our table then told us to have our drink and food orders ready when he returns. That was about the last time we saw him until he asked us how we wanted the check split. The only other time he came to our table is when we had to flag him down because everyone's drinks at our table were empty. He dropped off our check without a word and left.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
