Easily my favorite place in Bluffton! Every time we come we end up having Gabby as a server and she is awesome!! Always on top of things, and willing to help you with whatever you want! She rates 5 stars just on her own I think we've pretty much tried everything on the menu, but I had to pick, I would say the soft pretzels with butter and salt, the meatball sandwich and the BBQ chips are a super safe bet. My husband would also sell a limb for a calzone.

We went here after a long day of exploring the Hilton head island. We hadn't eaten all day so we were starving!! Obviously we were craving fatty foods and this place hit our spot. I love that they're pizza crust are flavored all the way to the edge with Parmesan cheese and garlic. The crust was soooo soft. They have a huge menu with so many different kinds of pizza toppings. I really want to go try more!! Love love love how it's so volumy and you will not be disappointed! The size small will be enough for you since each piece is humongous. If you love cheese..if you love pizza...go for it!

Pizza is good but disappointed that they only honor their happy hour at the bar. Brought friends with us and like to sit at a table so we can socialize but were refused happy hour cuz we weren't sitting at the bar. Not sure what difference it makes since happy hour is usually offered when people patronize at certain times of the day and it fills lag time for the restaurant which would otherwise be slow in business.

We loved the funky atmosphere here and the food was great. We started out with the Trio of Meatball appetizer. It was served with loads of extra sauce for dipping and each meatball was sliced in half and skewered with a piece of cheese in between. It was really tasty, although could have been more hot. We then ordered a medium sausage and green pepper pizza. The pizza came out all crisp and hot and oozy with cheese. Perfect! The crust was awesome, although maybe a little too much Parmesan cheese. All in all, a great choice and service was great. Will certainly come back again.

We got hoagies this time. I had the Shrimp Hoag-Boy on wheat bread and it was really good! Nice to see grilled shrimp on this and to find that I didn't even wish that it was fried! The bread was more of a baguette, which I liked. My boyfriend got the chicken and cheese hoagie. Good but not as flavorful as mine was. As usual, I was not disappointed!

We actually have a Mellow Mushroom at home so normally I wouldn't choose to visit on vacation but since I have never actually been to the one here and I was dining alone with two kids under four I figured pizza would be a safe bet! We arrived at around 11 am, shortly after they opened for the day and they were not at all crowded. We were seated immediately and we ordered quickly. Then we waited. And waited. I know when I'm by myself with the kiddos any amount of time seems long so I know it seemed much longer than it was but apparently I was right to start to think the wait was getting extreme because the server came by to let me know that they had overcooked our pizza and were making us a new one. He also said that he would be bringing out a complimentary order of the cheese bread while we waited. He checked on us several times and talked to the girls and even brought them extra crayons. The cheese bread was very good when it arrived. I loved the marinara sauce that came with it. It was just about the best I've had in fact. The pizza arrived shortly there after and it was delicious. The perfect amount of stretchy cheese and plenty of toppings. I particularly liked the garlic buttered crust. When we finished and I got our bill I was surprised to see that the manager had also deducted 25% in addition to the free cheese bread and beverages. The manager even stopped by again to apologize for the delay with the pizza. In food service sometimes things go awry but great customer service can overcome almost any mishap and in this case it certainly did! I would gladly eat at this location if I'm ever in town again and it even inspires me to finally check out the one at home!

I have only been to one other "Mellow Mushroom," 2x times before this one (Pooler, GA) & I didn't like it then and after visiting this location in Bluffton, SC during a family-visiting weekend, I will NEVER go to another Mellow Mushroom again. They have great food (a bit pricey) and a great looking establishment, but hiring young people to do an adult-standard job could only bring trouble. After being seated and our drink order taken, a large group of HS kids were seated behind us. After a slew of people working came over to say, "hello," we had to hear about their underage drinking, drug use and horribly-vulgar language (we had kids 14 to almost-2 with us) I got pelted hard with a lemon slice (2 of 2) as they tried throwing it to a table of friends next to us. I spoke with the manager after my husband threatened the kids himself first with actions of a not-so-nice outcome and he had them removed to the patio. I have never, ever had this happen to me and will never forget it. The manager gave us our appetizer for free to help make up for the trouble caused by the teenagers. I will say we had a great waiter. He was attentive and nice and handled our large party with what seemed like, with ease. ;-) Even AFTER the lemon throwing.

Great food, good service and a solid beer selection. If you are looking for a smattering of good craft beer, you could do a lot worse... Maybe 15 or so on tap with twice that many in bottles.

We ordered a large pepperoni pizza to go and it easily served 4 of us. This may have to do with the fact I had eaten 3 hrs earlier, and two of the eaters were women...but that was nevertheless impressive! I thought the pizza was excellent...the crust was sprinkled with seasoned cheese shavings; this was a great touch. The only drawback is the amount of grease :(...it was practically dripping off the pizza. Maybe that's why it tasted so good....

Mellow Mushroom but better.... normally the wait staff are all tatted up with piercings, etc... wait staff and environment was a little more upscale. Pleasant and attractive staff, great beer and pizza equals good time.

The pizza here is just really really good. The crust alone is just the right amount of crispy from the front to the back. They are consistent too..well done!

Never had a bad pizza here. The hummus is also extraordinary and served with warm pita. Been there several times and had slow service once. Absolutely delicious!

Try the Kosmic Karma. It's pretty awesome. Plenty on the 'bold' side but a good pizza pie. Good service and moderately priced.

Probably the best pizza I've had. A bit pricey though, but the service is great.

Went here for an easy dinner, and it sounded fun. Actually, we went twice on our vacation last week. LOVED it. There were 4 of us the first time so we each picked a different small pizza so we could all have 1 piece of each kind. We picked Kosmic Karma, Funky Q. Chicken, Red Skin Potato Pie and Maui Wowie. All of them were great, the Funky Q. Chicken was my favorite. Need to have one close to where I live!

Mellow Mushroom is the Bomb! Great place for some good pizza. Very nice selection of bottled and draught craft beers! Plenty of flat screen TV's to watch your favorite game! Who could ask for more? Mellow Mushroom always has good pizza! It is a chain that doesn't really feel like a chain- They always provide good service and good food!

Always a favorite when we are on vacation! The pizza is delicious and the beer selection is excellent. Expensive, so be prepared. Family favorites are: Mighty Meaty, Philosopher's Pie, and Kosmic Karma. Blufton site best for getting a table right away. Takes less time to drive here then the usual wait time at the Coligny site.

Overall, a good pizza and beer experience. My 2 rimes I ate there, I ordered large pizzas with my preference of toppings, which is pineapple and pepperoni (spice and sweet, just wish I could get the pineapple not cooked, however, I did not ask for it that way, next time)) and a mushroom, sausage, pepperoni with extra cheese. Both really hit the spot at a good price point. The service was pretty good, the young servers are much better than in Wild Wing and tried their best to handle all of their tables, I was there on a busy Sunday evening. What I did find to be really super, was the bartender, whom I ordered my Ranger beer from, as I was awaiting a table, saw my glass was empty, came from behind the bar to serve me. WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, thank you darling! I have been at the location in Mt. Pleasant , S.C. and it is good as well, but my one gripe is the dough usually is under done to my taste, I want crisp and crunch.

Food was good (Mellow Mushroom is always good), but the service was pathetic. Waited way too long for our pizza, then had to ask a different server for silverware, then asked yet a different server for water (and she ignored us and kept walking). Asked for a to-go box for our pizza and calzone, and of course they didn't bring a lid for the sauce. It seemed like chaos, and the table next to was treated even worse, with a manager apologizing and the server explaining why it wasn't her fault. They just don't have their act together at this location.

Very good gluten free food. Yes, I would recommend.

We end up at Mellow Mushroom most game days because they have an excellent line up of draft beers - the old standards along with the best local brews - with a full stocked bar. The food is consistently good and a slight bit of healthy with toppings like sprouts, but the prices can get a little high on basic food like sub sandwiches and pizza. The menu is hard to read on basic items like pizzas and additional topping are costly overall. The barstaff and the managers are great and it is a fun place to hang out during the game with a good local crowd.
