I went and got the Steak & Chicken Early Bird dinner for 16.50$. The steak was fatty, chicken was bland, ginger dressing was eh. I will say though I enjoyed the sushi. We got the sunshine roll, very fresh! Definitely won't be going back for the Hibachi - too pricey anyways for the quality of food, though the portions were good.

Best sushi and hibachi ever. They have great sushi rolls with a earlybird special for two for 35 bucks and it was the best.

My husband and I have been here a few times and never had a problem. But tonight, I ordered hibachi teriyaki salmon and as soon as I saw it I knew it there was a problem. It looked weird. They gave me two fillets that were oddly shaped but they looked identical. When I tried to eat a piece, I almost had to use a knife because it was so hard. The taste was of freezer burn and the salmon crumbled in my mouth. Definitely inedible. I told the waitress and she asked if I wanted a new one, which I said no since I knew it would probably be the same. She sent the manager/owner over and she spoke limited English. she told me the salmon is fine and that's just how they cook it. She would only offer a new one and so I gave in-maybe it would be different. Wrong! It was just as bad as the first round-freezer burned, overcooked non fresh fish. They never offered to take it off the bill, which was very high considering the quality of some of the food we got. My husband's steak and chicken tasted funny too. One pro: good sushi. That's why I gave stars. We will not be returning. As we were walking in the restaurant, people were walking out complaining of the food. We never should have gone inside.

My husband and I had dinner here a few days ago. They were very busy and understaffed. The service was not efficient due to the crowd. Food was below average at best. The tempura shrimp tasted like the frying oil hasn't been changed in a week. The chicken teriyaki was dry even though it was drowned in sauce. The sushi was rolled to perfection but it too was below par in taste.

I love Kobe, we go here for everyone's birthday dinners because it's a crowd favorite. The service is always good and the food is yummy!

A decent place, for the area it is in. The food is pretty good, if you avoid certain items. For some reason the chicken here makes people sick. It looks, well not quite like chicken. Steak and rice and vegetables are great. Sauces and appetizers are also good!

I consider myself a sushi snob. This place does not even have Uni on the menu. The mackerel is prepackaged which I learned long ago to stay away from. The tuna was good. I was there around 1pm the day after Christmas and there were only a couple tables occupied. I sat at the sushi bar and yet the service was slow.

Great taste for the sushi, prices high only got 8 slices of sushi over rice for 18.00. No ginger to clean your palette.

Sushi was outstanding. Definitely in my top three places for sushi for all time. Who knew I would find such a place driving back to Charleston from Hilton Head? We ordered four rolls (three specialty rolls and one standard roll) for a reasonable price. The service was on point and the sushi tasted fresh and flavorful. I couldn't stop talking about it to my fiance and kept trying to find another reason to justify going back down there for some more delicious sushi. I hate that I won't have a reason to go down to Hilton Head much, but Kobe, you sure have a fan.

Stopped in today during lunch for the 1st time since moving here a year ago. I ordered the Teriyaki Salmon and my daughter ordered the tempura roll with salmon and soft shell crab roll. My daughter states the sushi was delicious and crunchy. My Teriyaki salmon with vegetables was seasoned just right and the sauce was great. I will go back again. The staff was attentive and friendly when I was there.

Excellent food. Reminded me of the quality of food and service that I received in Okinawa.

Great sushi bar and hibachi. My favorite is sushi, any type and teriyaki crab . Hibachi steak and shrimp are excellent choices. Service is very good. Only drawback is getting on to route 278 going west. This exit requires extreme caution and fast acceleration

Had the sushi and a hibachi chicken and steak dinner. The sushi was very fresh and well put together. The hibachi chicken and steak was delicious. Will definitely be coming back here. Very good service. Could have used a few more refills but overall quality of food and quantity was all great.
