I ate at Patriot's Diner for the first time today and was actually surprised I enjoyed it as much as I did. It has the look and feel of a regular diner but the service and food were excellent! It was eat afternoon but they serve breakfast all day so I ordered a 2 egg, home fry and toast special and even the toast was better than at the usual breakfast spots I go to. The portions were large and the prices seemed very fair. I would defiantly suggest Patriot's Diner and I will be checking it out for lunch or dinner too. Bonus... They are open 24 hours a day!!

I had breakfast there yesterday. The cheddar and mushroom omelette was very good. The home fries were the best I've had anywhere. Generous portions.

I am giving this place 3 stars. In some ways it rates a 4 star and in others a 2 star. so 3 stars seems fair First off, this is not a "destination" diner. You know, the kind of place you have to visit because of how good their food is. Yes they do give you large portions. And yes it is hot and fresh and well prepared. So you will get filled up on good food. But nothing that makes you say "wow". And that's okay. And the coffee was weak, like it was kind of watered down. And I drink it black. But it was hot Our waitress was excellent. She was working breakfast by herself, the counter and the booths. And she was hustling. And she still was friendly, smiling, talkative and caring This is a typical retro diner. The ceiling has ceiling tiles to try to make it look like an old copper ceiling. But the tiles in several areas are twisted, cracked and lifted. The ceramic tiles are peeling and there is rust on the bar stools. To me this gives the impression of being unclean and uncared for. Not what you want in a restaurant But the worst was the bathroom. The toilet would not flush. The urinal was all brown and yellow. The sink was filthy. Many tiles were missing off the walls and the walls were filthy. The floor was a mess and the trash can in there was overflowing. To top it off it was infested with flies. In all honesty if I had used the bathroom before I ordered, I would have left. The bathroom really made me wonder how the clean was the rest of the restaurant. If the board of health paid a visit here they would close it down because of the bathroom

I am giving this place two stars for the ordering-for-take-out experience. The food was mediocre, and the service was unbelievable - in a scary way. Upon ordering, the waitress was very nice, yet overly talkative. It became very uncomfortable when one of them spoke out loud about her bowel issues. Yes, she said she "needed to take a sh*t," for everyone to hear. Nobody wants to know that. The staff was very nice, but please refrain from making such remarks.

Reliable diner food. Nice staff, warm environment, mostly locals, though the diner has a Holiday Inn next door. Wide assortment on menu, plus breakfast menu available all day. Always reliable for a good sandwich, burger or breakfast. Breakfasts are awesome and bountiful. We always have extra home fries, toast, eggs left over. Suggest you stick to the cook to order items, as some of the other items seemed like they are frozen and reheated. Kids had chicken pot pie, and I understand they can't be fresh, but the potatoes were mushy like they had been frozen. Wife had chicken souvlaki and the waitress didn't know what tzatziki sauce was, even though it was listed on the menu. Eventually someone helped her, but it tasted like sour cream with some chives mixed in. The chicken was grilled chicken and a bit dry. Again, stick with cook to order items and you will enjoy Patriots Diner.

I've always had good, hearty food and friendly, quick service here (usually after midnight ). I live one small town over where there are no open-late places to eat, so I've visited many times over the years being that it's open 24/7. I always get breakfast food just because they do it well, but their menu has pretty much everything. My friends' lunch/dinner meals have also gotten no complaints and the portions are big all around. You tend to see some interesting (and/or impaired) characters come through (again, usually after midnight) but it's mostly just entertainment. Overall, you leave happy and full. I like having this place around.

I had fish n chips Friday night. Fresh flaky haddock in a cornmeal type crust, making it super crispy & not at all greasy. Fries were also good, but would have liked them a little more crispier (but that's just me). Staff was very courteous. Nice & clean. HUGE portions.

Really enjoyed this place. Food for 5 of us came out quickly and they were busy. Range of breakfast to dinner meals, and all were warm when they came to us. Eggs were cooked right for the three of us and we each had different types. Sandwiches were tasty as well. Portions were big in general as well. Would go here again.

Well Done Patriots Diner. I was able to enjoy a quality diner, even when I'm a few hundred miles away from my home state, NJ. The Diner Capitol. I don't joke around when it comes to diners. I've been to more than anyone who's sane in the head should. But this really fit the bill when it comes to a quality diner. The atmosphere was traditional, with neon lights, a long counter with stools, and comfortable booths. Me and a friend went at about midnight on a Wednesday. I was pleased to see that there were some greek specialties on the menu. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki, which was a huge portion, but fresh. The tzatziki sauce seemed to fall short of my liking, but didn't ruin my meal by any means. The service was Ok, and I thought the prices were very fair for what you got. I'm spoiled to live near so many diners, but I'm so glad there was a 24hr one away from my home turf.

I had been to Patriot diner a couple of times and wasn't particularly impressed with the food (both times worth about a 3 star rating) but this time is was definitely better than the rest. We sat at the diner bar area and received amazing service. The waitstaff was fun, attentive and all around kind. I ordered the strawberry milkshake (YUM!) and the clam strips. I was shocked to see how much I got with my meal. Soup, salad, strips and fries? Sold. The portion was massive too! Enough for two people! I couldn't believe the massive portions of food we were seeing going by us too. You definitely get a lot for your money here. Yelp also offers a pretty great deal too - $7 for $14 worth of food. All in all, we will come here again.

I give 4 stars because it is what it says. They don't pretend to be something they are not. They are a 24hr diner. In RI. And it's not IHOP. So it's got that going for it too. It's clean. Unpretentious. Down to earth. Dependable. This morning, Wednesday at 3am, I was famished after work. I had to ride up to North Smithfield anyway so a stop was needed. -Ginger ale I'm the bottle. Perfect. -Eggs over easy. Perfect. -Sausage gravy and biscuits. Great texture. The gravy was scary but I loved it. -Side salad. I'm not sure why. Cold, crisp, tomato, cucumber, green pepper. I will always return. I can depend on it. Sometimes the Server looks sad. It's fun to make her smile.

This is a classic looking diner. It's a retro, but it still has the feel of the old style diner. The meals served are a large portion which normally follows a soup and salad. The entrée takes awhile to prepare, but it's worth the wait. Despite your urge to finish the tasty meal, you likely will take some of it home to finish. Breakfast is served all day. I think this is a place worth trying. It's location might cause one to dismiss it, but go for it. You won't be disappointed.

Best peppered coffee I've ever had. Many a good nights here. All the items on the list are a hit, but I don't think I've ever had lunch.

What a gem in Woonsocket. True to my notion of a diner, this place has the crowd, the bar stools, the small tables and the friendly "honey", "sweetheart" addressing wait staff; most importantly, the menu and large portion servings (ended up half eating my breakfast). I went using my Groupon -- that was a deal. Friendly service, continuous turnover of people while I was there (around 11 AM on Sunday) -- in other words, busy! Reasonable price. Enjoyed the home fries. Crispy on top; just the way I like it. No fuss, greasy diner meal but there's egg white available, too, without the extra charge. I only wish they wouldn't fill my omelet with so much gooey mozzarella cheese. Some people like that excessive serving but not me. I nearly choked on my bite! I suppose this is why I didn't finish my meal. Just a bit overwhelming but yes, I'd go back. Nothing that an honest feedback to the cook can't fix. Sidenote: Hmm not that I am a scrooge but on the day I was there, a crafty family of 3 (mom, pop and son) have set up a table to ask for $5 board donations to their son's Karate fundraiser. I donated but it was a tad uncomfortable, gotta admit. Makes you feel like a schmuck if you didn't give. Maybe that location can be reconsidered next time. Wait, back to the review: yes, one of the best diners in RI.

Not a big breakfast person, but stopped here for breakfast on the way to visit family this morning. Breakfasts are HUGE. Under ordering would be plenty. Keep this in mind. Didn't come close to eating all that was served. Stay away from the unsweetened iced tea,,,horrible. Food was good, just way too much. One pancake could feed 2 kids!! The place was clean, prices fair, service ok.

This is an ok diner. They have what you'd expect from most diners and they do a decent job at it. It's definitely a diner feel and atmosphere. The food is a bit more than you'd find at other diners. The reason for this is because they give you ridiculously large portions. For someone that eats an average amount of food, you end up wasting more (unless you can take it home) than necessary.

Very pleased to see that this was a popular, and clean diner. Has classic breakfast options as well as lunch and dinner. Opt'd got the chicken tender basket. Fries and chicken were fresh, hot and crisp! The Ranch dipping sauce was AMAZING .(and I'm all about my ranch) Service was a bit slow but it was because it was a busy afternoon. Very helpful and kind service, and relatively fast good once ordered. The restrooms were clean and convent. They also have the "to-go" option. Which I may have to do for lunch! Open 24/7 ta boot!

Really good diner food -- not gormet, just tasty and huge portions. Friendly staff, breakfast around the clock. I may even bump them up to 5-stars if they keep impressing me.

Located across from my hotel. Stay here about every 6 weeks. Like this place first for location. After driving a lot I like to be able to walk to dinner, this is so close I could do so even in a snow storm. The portions are pretty big and the prices smaller than the portions. I would say the food is above average diner food and the staff have always been friendly and attentive. I sure I will be here each time I stay at this hotel.

I haven't been there in about a year before my most recent visit due to finding a hair in my food. My mom wanted to go so she talked me into it. Luckily, no hair this time. She got the pot pie. It was huge but not the traditional pot pie. She enjoyed it. I got the clam strips which were good. Got a lot for the price. The drinks were served in Styrofoam cups which I found odd. This definitely won't be my go to place but I won't avoid it at all costs like I previously did.

Silverware and interior needs help. Flaking paint, crowded and grimy. Omelette was decent. Waitstaff really attentive. Go here if you don't feel like standing on line for Providence breakfast trendiness but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Visited this diner with my family, my friends all gave this place rave reviews but I honestly wish we went somewhere else. They were "a little short staffed" so we waited way too long for our food and the food was mediocre at best. It is open 24/7 so unless you're looking for food at 3 in the morning, go elsewhere.

I'm not sure what some of the reviewers are looking for in a diner. The menu is pretty standard diner fare, with a few Mediterranean-style offerings. As mentioned by others, the service was super. Walking in for the first time, we were treated like regulars. Servers were very busy, but still smiled and were cordial, as well as accommodating. I started with chowder and she started with chicken noodle soup. I'm kinda snobby when it comes to chowder. I generally prefer red chowder, but this was N.E. white chowder. It was pretty good, but a tad too thick for me, but at least it wasn't some canned milk soup with potatoes and elastic bands. Of course, I'm sure anyone who served that stuff in RI would be shot. Her chicken noodle was apparently good, not too salty and full of stuff. The only issue was the noodles were over cooked to the point that they were mooshy and disintegrating. I had the broiled swordfish and was pleasantly surprised. I had been originally looking for some early Corned Beef and Cabbage. When I couldn't find that, my go to selection is usually seafood and I hadn't had Swordfish in a while. There were 2 filets with a combined weight of "too much", a heap of real mashed potatoes and string beans. I eat a lot, and this was a lot! Expecting the fish to be less than, I was psyched when I found it didn't suck at all. In fact, now I know where to go when I crave Swordfish. She had the fish and chips that looked pretty good. There was no grease on the plate, the fries weren't all 'sogged out' from the fish being perched on top. The fish, by the way, was flaky, white haddock that was 'dry breaded' rather than battered. Just the way it should be. I was told the fries were "meh". After, we had pie. Awesome. Mine cherry, hers blueberry. Both very good. Service was great. It was sort of uncanny because, as busy as it was, and we were obviously not her only table, our server was always there promptly, with drink refills. At one point we were just saying that we needed more napkins when, moments later, here comes our server with drink refills and napkins. Almost as though she could read minds. Overall, a good experience. And they are open 24/7, good to know. The only reason I stopped at 4 stars (and this was mentioned in a previous review), it is a little dingy and could use a week closed to completely clean the place. Trim needs repainting, tile grout needs a good scrub, etc. If they did that, it would be a near-perfect diner experience.

Good food at a reasonable price, better than going to Denny's or IHop. Service is usually on point, every once again when it's busy you have to waive your server down for coffee refills.

Classic clean dinner behind the Holiday Inn. Great service, plenty of parking and terrific food. For breakfast I usally order the gut busting Big Boy Breakfast. I saw a person at a near by booth order the Seafood platter and it was huge. This place is open 24 hours so if you have the late night munchies cosider stopping here.

After almost a month of driving past Patriots Diner about twice a day, finally stopped in for breakfast/brunch yesterday. For a late Sunday morning - short wait, long stay without being rushed to leave, great service. I had heard great things about the diner - full menu, large portions, and open 24 hours. A late Sunday morning visit wouldn't allow me to test the quality of food and service of an overnight visit, but I now have something to look forward to! In short, the portions were perfect. Our server listened to our food preferences and was able to make great suggestions. None of us were disappointed. Food came out hot, fresh and made to our specifications. And yes, the portions are HUGE! I have a pretty decent appetite, and I couldn't finish my meal. Made excellent leftovers, though. Patriots Diner passed my other two benchmark tests for diners/breakfast places. The coffee was hot, fresh, and plentiful, and the service (even with a wait and a very busy dining room) was friendly and attentive. There was even a young woman making balloon animals for the younger kids in the room...nice touch! Don't be alarmed if you think that the prices are slightly higher than you might expect for a diner. The portion sizes and the deliciousness of the food more than make up for the 'sticker shock'. Looking forward to going back!

Good place and open late ... The homefries are pretty good and most of the breakfast is just ok . we have had there lunch and we have had dinner there once and the Greek food is pretty awesome and service is pretty good as well ... The only reason I gave it a three was because my wife and mom in-law Dont like the eggs and always have something to complain about but always finish there food though lol.

I didn't experience the level of food that these reviews expressed. The one thing I do agree with is that the great service. Fast, friendly and inviting. After driving for 6 hours, and crashing in the hotel across the parking lot., I needed a convenient meal. It was a short walk across the parking lot. The Fish and Chips was breaded in a heavier, chicken finger style batter. I was expecting a lighter, more traditional batter. That was the reason for my disappointment. It wasn't bad, just not a preparation I like. It was crunchy and good, if you prefer a heavier breading. The fries were very done right. At least the service was very good and the price was fair.

Typical diner, open 24 hours with an extensive menu. Breakfast is typical diner breakfast. Good pancakes, delicious milkshakes, huge portions. Tried the soup once, won't do it again. I'd stick to the breakfast but they made a good turkey club.

We also stayed next door at the Holiday Inn Express (nice place, good rate). We had breakfast/brunch at the Patriots Diner on our way out of town. Staff was great! Food was good, not overly greasy, solid, good diner food!

So my husband and I took a trip to this diner, it was so cool looking. When we got in there, it was very busy, but we found a booth and the waitress came right over she was very polite and comical, my husband ordered some clam chowder to start with, I had a cup of homemade chicken soup. Both were very tasty, chowder had a lot of clams in it, and the chicken soup was great. For our entrees, my husband got the swordfish with green beans and I got fish and chips, when our orders came out, they both looked great. The fish was flaky and tasty, the breading on the fried fish was not all pan cakey or greasy. The only letdown I had was the fries, I wish they would have been the non waxed ones. For dessert we had pie, I had blueberry and my husband had the cherry pie, both tasted amazing! We will definitely take another trip out there again. All around a wonderful place to have a meal!!!

Good food, great service anytime. Extensive menu(burgers, fish, Greek plates, salads, & breakfast anytime. Extremely convenient if you're staying at Holiday Inn across parking lot. While I was in town I ate here 4 times. I know Woonsocket doesn't have a huge selection of restaurants but it's nice to have one such as this place. If ever traveling to town I'd stop here again & again & again. Portion sizes are huge!!

I must say the food and the service was better than most establishments. The portions are very plentiful. The bacon and eggs I had were cooked just right. I know Diner food isn't for everyone but I enjoyed my breakfast at the Patriots dinner.

I arrived two weeks ago for work and on my second night I had my first meal here, moussaka, it was a very generous portion and delicious. I have eaten here every night since that first meal and the portions are plenty, the food is really good and breakfast is served 24/7... The eggs Benedict are awesome!

My wife and I had driven by this place many times and finally we decided to check it out. We went on a Friday morning at like 10am so it wasnt too busy. The ambiance of this place is very cool!! An old fashioned diner with booths, a bar, or tables. There are a bunch of really cool pictures on the walls. They offer a full menu 24 hours a day! We chose a table in the back because it was empty and the server was in good spirits. She joked around with us and was very patient with our questions and order changes. I got a burger and my wife got a chicken burger and they were both delicous! The only weird thing was that the french fries tasted like donuts. The portions of everything were huge!! The bill was reasonable. All in all I would say that we really enjoyed this place and plan on returning in the future.

Good place with a wide selection of food available. Portions are Well worth it for the price u pay. Could use a little updating inside. The staff is friendly and usually on top of your needs or request. Can't go wrong for the price.

Weird, somewhat difficult to find location (behind a Holiday Inn) and kind of divey looking, but the food was excellent. I went here with my girlfriend after visiting the Blackstone Heritage Park as she had read the glowing reviews on Yelp and it did not disappoint. My gyro was absolutely scrumptious (the Tzatziki sauce alone merits a star), French fries looked homemade, and my girlfriend likewise enjoyed the chicken basket and sweet potato fries she ordered. Service was good, too. Food was slightly salty, so docking a star for that, but no serious issues with this place. I would definitely stop in again whenever I am even remotely in the area and hopefully take advantage of the $7 for $14 Yelp discount next time. All things considered, one of the few actually great diners I've encountered in New England....a true pearl of the Ocean State!

Not a bad place, has all the good things you would expect from a diner, but the staff wasn't friendly at all and kind of killed the mood of wanting to be here! I will try it again, but I'd hope to get staff in a better mood and actually seem like they would like to be there.

The food is ok. Not terrible, that's for sure. They hours are fantastic. 24/7, how can you go wrong. They are always willing to accommodate large groups of people. Tons of parking. It's kind of dingy inside, and the food leave something to be desired. The staff is always friendly and courteous, no matter the time.

My husband and I like to visit and experiment with new places based on previous reviews. Wow!!!! Holy giant portions!!!!! My husband ordered a swiss and mushroom omelette, he finished it but, was stuffed to the max. I ordered the mediterranean omelette plate and only ate half of it. Well, needless to say the two plates combined was enough food to feed a family of four. The freshness of it was great, and their speed from the moment we walked in, to the waitress taking our order and the meals being served was probably the fastest service we have ever experienced. Oh, and the coffee...that is one GOOD cup of coffee! Aromatic, flavorful coffee. It really hit the spot. Some of the previous yelpers suggested that the waitresses weren't very nice that wasn't our case. I can't wait to revisit and try other dishes. Did I mention that this diner offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Yup they do dinners!!! They are open 24/7 and best of all they take credit and debit cards. All good reasons for me to come back. Even other patrons at this establishment were very kind and friendly. By the way, we came to this place from North Attleboro, MA it was worth the trip. Definitely a place to keep in mind for some good traditional giant breakfasts with an ambiance that will make you feel like your in a scene from the movie "GREASE", just fantastic!

in all fairness it has been a couple of years since ive been here.with that said my 1 and only experience was not great.i was with 2 other co-workers for lunch.i had a burger while the others had breakfast.my burger was nothing special it was a typical frozen patty.using fresh made patties would make a world of difference.the breakfast that came out seemed good there was no complaints except for the iced coffee that was ordered.the "iced" coffee that came out was just a glass filled with coffee no ice.when the ice was requested the waitress got mad. i would give them another chance but with the very high pricing i probably wont be going back unless i have a groupon or something. they are open 24hrs but i feel that might be the reason for the high prices.

My daughter loves the place so she convinced me to go as well for breakfast . Friendly service and food was cooked just the way we ordered it . Grilled bagel was perfect ! My over medium eggs were a bit overcooked but I ate them anyways . A great place to get a cheap meal with friendly service !

Classic styled diner set back quite a way from the road, behind a hotel. Just like you'd stepped back 50 yrs or so. With so much on the menu it was difficult to decide what to have. But after seeing some plates come out for other tables, we got pretty excited. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, my wife had the meatloaf, and my kids split a chicken pot pie. First though, your choice of soup for me, and soup & salad for the full entrees. I chose the chicken noodle, while the others chose cream of turkey. Obviously homemade, and very good. The wrap was good, stuffed and tasty. Pretty safe choice for me. The wife's meatloaf came out with 3 good sized slabs, along with mashed potatoes and veggies. The kids chicken pot pie was huge, and even after splitting it, had some to take home. Overall.. great place for comfort food and reasonable prices. I want to return for the breakfasts. Also open 24/7 for those late night munchie runs, but I'm too old for that now.

Open 24 hours! Great homefries! Hollandaise! Every so often I get a craving for a huge portion of cheesy, greasy breakfast food and this satisfies at any time of the day (or night). I like the breakfast menu so much I've never deviated, but there are plenty of homestyle dinner entrees as well. Service is always attentive.

Well I have had close to 25 meals at the diner since moving up for work in September. Good diner food. Good breakfast. Big fan of their burgers. They give you way too much food. I've had to put them on hold while I detox from the greasy food and huge portions.

I don't usually go out to eat alone.. but while dyingggg of starvation, I decided to stop at Patriots Diner for breakfast. It was probably the charming old school diner feel that sucked me in, and I was not disappointed. The coffee was strong and didn't taste cheap (as most little diner's do). I couldn't resist asking if they could do eggs benedict with corned beef has instead of canadian bacon (it's go big or go home, right?) The waitress was very sweet and on top of my refills (I am a caffeine junky). My food came out very quick and the portions was dangerous considering how hungry I was. Oddly enough for the appetite I built up... I couldn't even finish half of it. The mountain of golden home fries and river of Hollandaise sauce lead me to a food coma. But it was worth it. I'll stop in when I am back in the area for sure.

I do really like it here, but it's gone downhill the last few times. Unless you get a "regular" waitress, the service has been awful. Also, they really need to clean the place up. It appears dirty and the menus are falling apart.

To sum it up, good tasting food, huge portions, reasonably prices, fantastic service. A word of warning before trying Patriot's Diner, if you are on a diet this might not be the best place for you. They do have some healthy options but a place that serves breakfast all day and diner food, why go healthy...Go Big or Go Home! I have been to Patriots a few times since its opened and I have yet to be disappointed. The wait staff is always so friendly and attentive to all of the customers and the food comes out fast. I came here for breakfast yesterday and ordered an omelet and in less than 5 minutes the food was out. the omelet was huge and stuffed with everything I had ordered. It also comes with a heaping portion of home fries as well. The food was great and I threw in the towel with about a 1/4 of the omelet left. Overall, if you are starving and want to walk out full and for a good price try the Patriots Diner. Best of all its open 24 hours so if you are hungry and reading this review at 2am and get the craving for breakfast, you can satisfy that craving.

Very good place. I had lunch. Most people apeared to be having breakfast. Fair price with good service in a clean diner

This was a really cute place. The staff is terrific. I really was looking forward to going out for breakfast so I just Yelped Breakfast joints and this is what I found. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was local, easily accessible, and we were seated immediately. I was a bit disappointed that there was only at-bar seating, but what was I to expect on a Sunday morning. This is definitely a trucker stop and sits next to a hotel/motel. We both got a huge meal, coffee and a cold drink for under $30 for both. Excellent.

Great food, great service and a very friendly atmosphere. What more could you ask for. My wife an I eat out a lot and this is a place we visit at least twice a week. Never had any problems with the food and help, every one is very friendly and helpful. Try them out you wont be disappointed.

I had the western omelet and it was delicious. Place was clean, waitresses were friendly, food was good. Prices were a little bit higher than what I expected for a diner, but the portion sizes are massive. We will be back.

Breakfast is great, lunch is great, dinner is great. Besides the deliciousness the heaping portions just add to the allure. Oh yeah and FYI it's open 24/7 and frequently has discounts on Groupon.

We were so happy to find a "real" dinner like the ones I grew up with in NY. Breakfast was good, prices reasonable. Very kid friendly too. I'll be back.

We stopped here after watching the UFC fights. It was 1 am and we were starving. The portions definitely did not disappoint. I got their eggs benedict and my friend got their roast beef sandwich. Neither of us could finish our meals. The service wasn't terrible but also was nothing to brag about. Our main issue was with cleanliness. There was a hair in my boyfriend's food and bugs crawling around everywhere, which definitely wasn't appetizing. Utilize the Yelp deal, where you purchase $14 worth of food for $7. I was a little turned off by this place, but the food was good enough that I'd give it another shot.

Quick review; typical diner food. Fast service and lots of regulars there. I suggest, if with someone, order the plate to share. The portions are huge!

This place is pretty cute and they have a big menu, so I can only vouch for a few items here. I got the egg and cheese sandwich with a side of homefries. The homefries are a little different and I really liked them, even brought home my leftovers to recook them the next morning. The egg and cheese was also good, if not a little plain. My boyfriend got the eggs benedict. Normally a better-than-average place will ask you how you want your egg poached, but the Patriots Diner didn't ask. Our waitress was very nice and chatty. I imagine this would be an excellent truck stop.

So,..as a Jersey transplant after several years I'll embrace this as being as close to the convenience of a NJ diner as I've found in RI. The portions are way too big and the quality helps you understand the portions. But the wait staff has charm and 'tude and they'll put up with you holding court if business dictates. I've got made love for this greezy spoon.

What a lucky find driving home to NH from the casino. The diner is shabby and old, but clean and inviting with very pleasant waitstaff. It was simple diner fare, so if you are looking for something special this is not it. But the food was good, hot, generous and we were very glad we trusted other Yelp reviews.

I had the Texas French Toast, which was a massive amount of food. It was supposed to have 2 eggs but it looked like 4. French Toast was Challah I think, and it was nice and thick with great flavor. My wife had the Spinach Pie which was good, but her greek salad was pretty weak, but this is a diner, I wouldn't expect a fancy salad in a diner. Attractive décor and pretty busy the night before Thanksgiving. We will return when in town.

It's a diner with regular diner food. No Worcester lunch car, no historical significance or ambience, but they are open 24/7, take credit cards and they are open on Mondays and holidays.

GOODS: Open late so its very convenient, quick service, relaxed feel and generous portions.i like the clamstrips dinner! and anything on the breakfast menu is pretty good. BADS: Meatloaf i tried was dis-gust-ing tasted like old meat and liver. I also feel that i can open up a frozen dinner and it would taste like most of the food i can order off the menu. sorry.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express next door. The food was really good and tasty. The potions were big and the prices were good. I really enjoyed the decaffinated coffee, and the hash. At night it's pretty empty, but it's a good late night eating spot, especially after drinking.

I discovered Patriots Diner late one night, when I stayed at the Holiday Inn that's across the parking lot during a snowstorm. I was exhausted, stressed, and SO hungry. I came in and was greeted by a sweet, smiling waitress who invited me to make myself comfortable. My food was delicious - pure comfort. Nothing fancy, but I was so pleased. I'm staying at the same hotel this week for work, and decided to have breakfast here this morning. I got such a huge plate of food for a fantastic price, and so delicious! And the same smiling service. I would LOVE to have a place like this back home.

Ok I'm not big on diners but what I found at Patriots Diner was friendly waitstaff, obscenely huge portions, and a charm I can't put my finger on. Our waitress was attentive, smiley, and fast. The food was good and huge oh-my-good we should have spilt a plate big.

This place is awesome!!! Have been in New England 20 years and this is the first time I've found a real Jersey diner around here. Have explained to friends in Boston many times: places that close at 2 pm and just have breakfast foods and sandwiches are NOT REAL diners!!! Must have full menu available - breakfast, lunch and entrees, and Greek specialties - throughout the day! And this place has it. Even Challah French toast. Food and service is awesome. Waitress very friendly. My son didn't like the spaghetti (well they put butter on it even though he as asked for it plain) and so they gave us a new child's meal free! Now I find out my husband has been coming to this place - can't believe he never told me about it (that's b/c we're really close haha) - found out about it from Groupon.

This is a place I find myself at often. I like it because if your not sure what your in the mood for they have a full menu 24 hours. Sometimes it's a giant omelette at 3:00 in the morn or a burger and milkshake after the club. All the food is solid not fantastic you will always find something to satisfy. Service is usually fun and quick. It's a classic diner for breakfast and a spot to meet up and hang and people watch late night. It's got it all

I frequent patriots at least twice a month and by far it is one of my most favorite spots! The menu has many options of breakfast, lunch dinner, desert and all the portion sizes are huge! The chicken parmagian tastes great, the chicken is really crispy and the sauce taste like your in federal hill. the cheeseburgers are really juicy and not greasy that's what I like about them. Turkey club is really filling and the fries have a lot of flavor and so doesn't the cole slaw it comes with. The turkey soup is so creamy definitely one of my favs! The waffles and stuffed French toast tastes like your having desert for breakfast. As for actual desert my favorite is the rice pudding and of course the cabinets (milkshakes) are so rich and flavorful. The waitstaff is really pleasant and friendly they always strike up a nice conversation with my family and myself. The owners I believe are Greek and always make sure that the diner is in tip top shape and really make you feel like your at home. Someone is always their from the family so you can really tell they care about their business. The family always decorate the diner really cute for all the holidays and my kids always love going there to see all the fun Halloween and Xmas decoration when we pull up. All in all it's a wonderful place to eat at all times of the day with yummy large portions with a friendly atmosphere truly 5 stars.

Hands down the best breakfast place I have found. My brother turned me on to this place and I can't thank him enough. The portions are so big that my wife and I split a meal and take stuff home. They have a full menu and the dinners are great also. Liked the steak tips. Classic diner experience. Friendly and efficient staff. Total value for your buck. Biggest pro fo all: Open 24 hours! That has saved us after many a night out! Western omelet @ 2:am is the best!

Overpriced and medeocre. My wife and I got a burger, and my daughter got a pancake. Mine was overcooked and tasteles, and my wife's was just tasteless. Our absentee waitress seemed more engrossed with her conversation with another customer than doing her job. We won't be back.

After reading the reviews of this place I almost thought I had the wrong restaurant - but we definitely went to the Patriots Diner in Woonsocket. The husband got out of work late so he wanted something yummy that was open late (11pm) but we didn't want to go to Providence. After arriving there the temperature seemed kind of stuffy, like the air conditioner needed to be turned on ASAP! He wanted a strawberry milkshake and he literally got it- ON HIS SHIRT! I understand mistakes happen since we are human but damn she didn't even apologize until she came back with a mop! Then she gave him a wet - smelly- dirty rag to wipe his shirt (LAWD HAMMERCY)! Where is the bathroom lady?! I would've walked out but I wasn't about to cook at that time, so after we calmed down we decided to order. I ordered the Sirloin tips with Mash Potatoes and cole slaw - it was BAD! The mash potatoes looked exactly as the name describes it. Potatoes that were mashed with no seasoning added. The Cole slaw tasted a bit on the tart side - I tasted better at KFC. The tips were cooked how I asked so that ended up being the only thing I ate on my plate. My husband ordered the fried chicken and fries- it was good. Nothing exciting. The bill came up to almost $40 - not worth it. How do I put this nicely? WE WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE!

Good diner food and good service. Early morning to late night, I've never been disappointed. Pancakes are super gigantic; two are more than enough. I can't say I've really had anything bad. It's all good for me.

Its funny that I got an email request to rate this restaurant today. I was talking to a family friend that lives in Cumberland and he mentioned Patriots Diner today because he recently ate there for the first time. Both of us loved that diner. Portions are very generous, the food is delicious, the staff is attentive and fast, and the restaurant is spot clean!

Who knew??? This past week led me to find some good eats in my own backyard. I had passed by this place pretty much everyday for the last two and a half years. Always thought the location was a bit sketchy. However, upon going here on a whim for breakfast, it is REALLY cute inside! The waitresses were very friendly and the service was quick. The coffee was good, and the portions are HUGE. I got a french toast combo...it was Texas Toast (I added strawberries to it), two eggs, and bacon. The person I was with got corned beef hash with home fries, toast, bacon, sausage, and toast. His could have fed a small nation, and mine was a generous portion...though more importantly, it was delicious. AND...the prices were reasonable! While it is not breaking any barriers with inventive and creative breakfast dishes like some places I enjoy for brunch in Providence, it is great for a comfort food breakfast!

Stayed overnight in Woonsocket and needed a place to eat. Of course we yelped to find a decent place. We had been traveling for a few days looking at colleges in 3 states and were a little burnt out with eating out all three meals. Saw the good reviews and the yelp coupon deal and decided to give it a try. Cute diner, outside reminds me of the old fashioned soda fountain eateries. Friendly service and a pretty interesting selection of food that you don't usually find in a cafe. They offered corned beef and cabbage which was what my daughter had. I had the stuffed cabbage, which is also something I've never seen offered. The food was good and hearty and the portions were more than generous. It was just what we needed, something different.

This a solid, standard diner. Prices are matched well for what you get and service. 24/7 there are always people in there. We've been for breakfast and burgers/sandwiches, never for dinner entrees. Good for a local eat, but I wouldn't drive out of the way for this place.

Great atmosphere, great service! The restaurant is kept clean and it's a true diner experience and that's exactly what you want in a classic diner. The portions are tremendous and the presentation is okay. However, I would recommend (to the restaurant) improving the quality of the food product vs. pushing the quantity of the product. The pancakes were a low grade mix, almost tasteless. The sausages had very little flavor. The homefries, while made with very popular red skin potatoes, they weren't seasoned at all. The scrambled eggs were chopped to smitherines and over done. This also affected the presentation. Much of this can be improved by the line cook's technique and some basic recipe changes in order to spruce things up. The cooks should try pushing and folding the eggs vs. their chop chop double spatual method. The eggs were killed and then killed again.

Just so you know, it is now open 24 hours a day - 7 days a week. We ate there at 3:30 am after a night at Twin Rivers and the food hit the spot. My friend had the turkey club and I had blueberry pancakes and both were good. We missed the after the bars rush so the place only had a few people in it but the waitress was friendly and the dinner was clean. I would definitely recommend this at 3:00 am.

Last minute decision to stop in after 11 p.m. last night. Had not eaten all day. Had a headache so I thought I would stop in and grab a coffee and?? Well, ended up having the 2 egg special with canadian bacon, toast, and substituted baked beans for the home fries. Great decision that was! Eggs were poached with soft yolk - just the way I like them! 4 slices of canadian bacon, and 2 toasts. Decaf coffee to drink and coffee was fresh! Enjoyed the tastes of everything! The baked beans where also very good. Could not finish my dish! Waitress I had was very pleasant and friendly. Found out she was new at the job. She did a great job! I was there alone and did not feel uneasy at all. Felt safe. Even the other waitress working was very pleasant. Will return for sure!

I can only rate on the feta, spinch, and tomato omlette. Been there a dozen times and thats all I ever get! Good stuff. My buds tuna melt had to go back to the kitchen a few times for them to get it right. So, stay to the standard / basic stuff! (tuna melt may be a bit complicated for them.)

The Patriot Diner is a special place in Woonsocket. They have a warm and welcoming staff. A huge menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner with huge portions to match. All the items on the menu are available 24 hrs. a day. The food is always great and arrives on your table hot. I have to mention that they have some of the best soups in the area available complimentary with most orders or ala carte. This is one stop definitely worth visiting.

Oh happy day! We have finally found an establishment north of NYC that really qualifies as a "diner." We didn't even know this place existed until my dad spotted the sign out of the corner of his eye as we driving in the opposite direction. What can I say? The man can SMELL a diner within 100 yards. Since most places like this in our area seem to only be open for breakfast and lunch, we called ahead to make sure they were open for dinner. Open till 9. 1st YAY! Diners in NY are open 24 hours usually, but I'll take 9pm. The decor is slightly Johnny Rocket's but the building is like one of those old rounded, aluminum trailer-like diners from the 50s. I wonder if its really been here since the 50s... Service was really quick, but there were only 3 customers at the time. They forgot to bring our soup before our dinner though, so we asked them to forget it since the dinner plates she brought were bigger than my car! I'll have to try the "red chowder" next time, because any good diner frequenter knows, the only way to judge a diner is by its soup. I ordered the burger deluxe, another good way to measure a diner. It was huge and cooked to order. The coleslaw (which I don't eat, but hubby tried) was really good. He won't eat coleslaw if it's not good. My husband ordered the chocolate chip pancakes. The waitress asked if he wanted 1, 2, or 4. 1 pancake? He ordered 4. Oops. You'll think I'm lying when I say that each pancake was about 12" in diameter. I swear. 2 came home with us for the next morning's breakfast. I can't wait to go back for my own breakfast! And the chowder. And a tuna melt. Num, num, num.....

This was our first visit and I'd like to go back. My husband had the stuffed peppers which were huge...brought back the rest for 2 more meals. I had the lamb shanks, but the menu said it came with orzo, which I didn't get. The meat was already off the bone and had an awesome flavor. I took the rest home. Our meals came with soup AND salad. We were really stuffed after just that. Plenty of food for our money.
