Great little Weiner joint ... Looks sketchy on the outside and not in the best neighborhood but its worth the visit . Weiner's were awesome and the fries were thick and crispy all in all great food and cheap . even my wife loved it and she hates Wiener's , that says something . very cheap little dive with great food

Back in the Day 10 years ago this place used to be owned by another family and would give NY System a run for it's money, but now it is just ok. It's still a dump and that is a good thing, but the weiners just aren't that good. If you're stuck in Woony one night and your hungry, you could do worse but not much. Average weiners at best. Don't forget if you eat inside that your going to leave smelling like horrible grease. Good Luck Thanks

It was very rude of the owner to kick out a WAR VETERAN today (08/25/2015) just because he has a medical condition and had an odor on him. I can't believe you told him that if he EVER stepped foot in your establishment that you would escort him out! SHAME ON YOU!

They should really call this Moonlight House of Weiners, Pasta, Breakfast, and so on and so forth because this place sells everything I originally went in to get a hot dog and had heard questionable things about the cleanliness at NY Lunch so I stopped here. When you walk in they have the standard hot dog menu above the counter and then attached with countless pieces of construction paper various other meals they serve. It's as if every time the cook discovered she could make something new she just tacked on an additional sign. Some of the offerings include: -Chicken Alfredo -Spanish Food -Liver and Onions -Fishermans Platter -Beef or Veggie Lasagna -Greek Salad -Chourico and Peppers -Spaghetti & Meatballs -Dynamite & Fries -Chili -Potato Skins -Chicken Kabobs -American Chop Suey -"Breakfast" I decided to be weird and order the Fishermans Platter. It was a little greasy but the clams were good and they included some good sized scallops. Tons of food for the price.

Being Halloween and all, the wife and I always journey out to a cemetery with a ghost story attached; this year it was Mercy Brown down in Exeter, RI. Since we're traveling down from Somerville, MA we'll need to eat and while checking out graveyard info on Quahog.org my wife finds ALL these funky places to eat. Talk about yer Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives it seems like the smallest state has the biggest food selection and specialties like Stuffies, Cabinets, Dynamites and Weiners pop out like fireworks on the 4th of July. Of all the places, Moonlight looks the best so we venture down on a Sunday afternoon hopping on 495 off the pike... Entering Woonsocket & RI is strange since the border of the states seems to be someones backyard as we cross out of Bellingham (I think) and start looking for Rathbun Street on our right. The town has a fanTAStic vibe of good food and good times (perhaps too many "good times") on, shall we say, a low budget? We only notice the 2nd half of Moonlight, the "Pool Hall and Spirits" side and discover the tiny door leading into the diner on the left. We step inside and I KNOW it was worth the drive; carrot orange wieners line the grill on the left and we jump all over the 3 wieners/fries/drink for $6.95 special and get a small Dynamite as well. The lady is SUPER nice and tells me to sit and relax while I wait. The dining area looks more like a Keno hall but it IS clean (as was the restroom) and I laugh to myself at a bickering couple with their wise-ass kid to the table next to me. The atmosphere is the real-deal and I was reminded of Lawton's in Lawrence and KNEW I had a find. The food came and we parked around the corner to sit and chow. How was it? AMAZING! The weiners were a perfect balance of dog, toppings and bun. The Dynamite was saucy, messy and fresh-tasting as ALL hell. I forgot to get a coffee milk but, heh, gives me an excuse to return!

When it comes to Weiners, I prefer this place over New York Lunch because of sanitary reasons. The Staff of Moonlight prep their Weiners with a plastic sleeve over their arm, unlike NYL. Please keep in mind that I haven't been to NYL since '07. So I should hope that they improved their food-handling etiquette. To this day, Moonlight is still sporting the plastic sleeve and still serving outstanding Weiners and Dynamite. Keep up the good work and positive attitude!

It's either NY lunch or moonlight for the battle of the wieners in Woonsocket.moonlight has been there as long as I can remember.besides maybe breakfast I wouldn't bother with any of the other food.my buddy got a barbecue chicken sandwich once and what came out was a little hamburger bun with 3 chicken nuggets on it and some generic barbecue sauce.little disappointing to say the least lol. Stick with the wieners! That's what there know for.

I came here because it's near my moms house and I notice they had lots to offer I know it's called a wiener place but I decided to order the onions rings and steak and cheese, the onion rings tasted good but steak and cheese was just edible they use almost like ground beef and also canned mushrooms don't even know when the last time I had canned mushrooms, it was also tasteless could have use some good old salt and pepper. The prices is cheap so that's a plus but I will not be returning, because some lady came out I said hi then she asked me where I work at??? Like really who cares where I work, then I said I don't live around here I live in vegas I'm just visiting my mom, then she said I seen you texting if you want to see menu we have online like really?? She was being really rude to me and I was still my polite self I was thinking in my head like I'm just reading it because you have a lot to offer geshhhhh. Never again will I be back it's all because of that lady I'm so happy I didn't dined there.

Moonlight used to be the wiener place in Woonsocket. Now it is just meh. Still good eats. But nothing like seeing an old guy rack up a dozen dogs off his arm. Priceless.

Just tried them out for dynamites and weiners all the way. Was very happy with the result. Nothing more needs to be said.

Stop #1 in our RI hot dog tour was this little hole in the wall storefront specializing in weiners. These dogs had nice flavor bun to dog ratio off due to small dog size. Got one works and one yellow mustard/relish. The BF got one plain dog. Cost was less than $4 for 3 dogs. Dog had orangey inside & no discernible snap. Wein o Rama had a better plain dog but the works dog wins out here.

I love love love this place the people working there are as nice as can be and have been there forever. The wieners are great, fries and onion rings come in huge portions. My family had always gone to New York lunch but last time I went the buns were soggy the man serving preparing them the wieners had a sore on his arm and wasn't wearing any gloves. So I decided to try Moonlight out, it was the best decision I've ever made.

Everyone likes New York Lunch, but Moonlight has always been my favorite. I recommend Moonlight over NYL any day of the week

From the second you step inside the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The place is a dive, the the right kind of unspoiled small place to delight your taste buds. Do not come for a culinary meal. This place serves up good cheap eats. All fresh and yummy. Burgers and wieners are worth the trip.

This is the best weiner place in the Blackstone Valley. The staff is efficient and friendly, the prices are great, and the atmosphere is perfect (they are also quick with togo orders). In addition to the weiners, the dynamites and onion rings are also really good. And did I mention that the food is really, really, cheap?
