I will say this. Remember the home town buffet? Thankfully, this isn't it. Kicks china buffet's arse, and it beats ordering dominos. I'm sold.

It's a buffet. I base this rating on similar restaurants in the area. Its not the best (Bamboo in Dedham), and its not the worst (Fire & Ice). I do like the hibachi, thats a big plus in my book. There really arent many good "create you own" wok/grill style places around. Its clean, service is fine. You could do alot worse and alot better.

Okay it is kind of not fair for me to not give this place another star. Really, it is good enough food, clean enough dining room and great selection. So what's my problem? I can't give a buffet a "fan star" just because they are a good buffet place. There is a great selection but the General's Chicken tastes like the Sesame Chicken and the Bourbon Chicken. (Yes, I actually got all three along with the Thailand Chicken and Honey Chicken just to try them all. The Honey Chicken was okay milder than the rest but the Thialand Chicken was the best a bit tangier but it could have just been a few more ingredients added.) The spring rolls are definitely frozen as are the egg rolls, you can tell by the over processed look of the meat and vegetables inside of the rolls. You can get better quality frozen rolls at the Oriental Market, these rolls are more like American made Chinese foods because there is more filler, less vegetables, greasier and little flavor to them. Still no one comes to a cheap buffet expecting high quality foods. This place has so many types of food, read the other reviews and you will still not have a list of all the foods this place has. I tried the stuffed scallop shells. They looked kind of suspect and they tasted not so good I didn't finish them. Still, where are you going to get something like that? The shrimp that they served were the small pink Atlantic Shrimp they catch in Maine. Unfortunately they were over the hill and my friend didn't finish them. That was sad. I can't remember everything I ate but I do remember the sushi. It is creative but made from taking average quality fish leftovers, chopping up the meat to almost a paste and molding it into the rice. It was fresh tasting and it was okay but you would never find this kind of sushi in a real sushi place. They cut the sushi into HUGE pieces too. Still I really enjoyed the special sushi they had. There was no sashimi and I was expecting none after seeing the quality of the sushi. Mind you this is not that disgusting cr@p that Stop and Shop serves as sushi. But it is also not what Sushi Go serves either, sort of in-between fresh but not high quality. This place was so crowded and the turnover was fast and massive. I nearly had a panic attack in the dining room. "The coffee tastes like Sanka," my friend told me, as we passed by like two ships in the night snagging a variety of average to low quality food dishes to try out. Seriously, this isn't fine dining and I always feel like this type of place is on par with a strip club for people who enjoy fine dining. You pay more on the weekends for a lunch pass than you would during the weekdays. The good thing is that it is so busy on the weekends that you don't get the crusty dishes that rarely get replaced when business is slow. When ever I leave a place like this I have a stomach ache and then am starving an hour later. You can find Chinese dishes here and American dishes too. The Hibachi is located between the raw foods on a buffet table you collect for the hibachi and the sushi table that displays the wares of the day. Serve yourself as much of the pickled ginger and wasabi as you like. Most of the sauces that you dip dumplings and anything else in is basically a soy sauce. Here's a hint, make a sauce from using the pickled ginger liquid, the soy sauce and some scallions with maybe a touch of sugar and some vinegar from the salad bar and mix until the sugar has dissolved. That is good advice for most of the food on many buffets anyway. Take a small amount of many items, sample them then find the things you do like and mix to your heart's content. This really surprised me: they had small egg foo youngs *with* the gravy and they were light and fluffy and flavorful! The cooks, when allowed to CAN cook! It's too bad that they don't have their kitchen staff make real Chinese dishes from scratch. This place would ROCK! I was in a weird mood when I came in and selected a plate piled high with appetizers: chicken on a stick, pork egg roll, the special spring roll (wasn't so special,) the regular spring roll, fried dumpling (I wish it was steamed,) the stuffed scallop shell, the chicken dishes I listed above, and a few more items that were not memorable. I can't remember my second dish except the egg foo young and rice noodles which were smaller than angel hair pasta and mild but delicious. My friend found the chop sticks by the sushi if you dig chop sticks (which I do.) There is the obligatory salad bar as well as the desert bar. I didn't visit either being honest to myself; I am not here for sweets or for a good salad. They have taken out the great cattle directing vestibule that the Hometown Buffet used to lead up to the hostess desk. That was a nice touch. It looks bigger, huge in fact but you do not get your own drinks any more so that was a bummer. The waiters were very good about removing used plates and bringing the drinks and check.

As a first time customer, I was very impressed with the atmosphere in the room. Not only that, but the food was great and cheap! ($6.99 per person at time of posting) Whether you like strictly chinese, japanese, or american, there is something for everyone. The service was very good as well. Definately coming back!

The selection is amazing. Everything is very fresh and tasty.Very surprised how fresh the sushi was. There is also a dessert bar full of choices if you have room. The price cannot be beat. I will go again.

This place just opened up, replacing Hometown buffet. I was hoping for Golden Corral but this could be the next best thing. Tons of variety, plus create your own hibachi makes food nice and fresh. 2 dinners with 2 drinks for $25 made the price right too. the only drawback was we smelled like chinese when we left.

I love this place, has a huge selection and the food is always good. Great sea food and fish. Hibachi grill and sushi is all included. The staff is always friendly to me and I would RECORMEND this place. The bathrooms are always clean. But some people you just can't make happy and always complain about everything.

I loved it when it was Hometown Buffet. So me I went there with another person. We went up to the hibachi grill and there was this guy who looked miserable and didn't say a word to us and just put our food on the grill. We are supposed to be asked what sauce do you want. I tell him this one teryaki and this one garlic sauce. He doesn't even care. I made sure he could hear me say what I wanted. So I see the foods pretty much cooked and I'm like did you put garlic sauce on it when he hands me my plate. He goes no, takes the plate back and throws a mound of minced garlic that you find in the jar (yuck) on it and doesn't even cook it in! He just puts it back from the hibachi within a second or two right onto the plate and hands it to me. The other one with the teriyaki sauce didn't taste like it at all it was watered down. So the rest of the food was hit or miss the sweet and sour chicken was cold some things were just bad and some were good. I don't each much at a buffet I even eat salad (filler food) so I wasn't there for 40 minutes and before that the waitresses are coming over bringing the check, walking over picking up the check again, then asking if we paid it minutes later. I got pissed at this point. I was like do you notice they're rushing us it's pissing me off to the person I was with. She goes yeah I heard the guy next to us say man it feels like they want us to leave. It was another skinny couple who didn't each much they were rushing. My total time in the place was 40 minutes. I go to the Honk Kong Buffet in Cranston. The people are friendly and the food is so much better. Instead of just chicken on a stick like this buffet you get real beef teriyaki and chicken teriyaki. The sushi is way better. It was mostly crab stick at the other place. Hong Kong Buffet has real sushi and sashimi. This is the only chinese buffet I feel I get my money worth. I'm done even trying another after this. yelp.com/biz/hong-kong-b…

Ok well I have no idea why anyone would give this place one star.... it def deserves far more than that. I will update this review based on if it continues at this level of standard or improves or worsens upon return visits... Veggie spring rolls, good flavor and crispy outside, but was mushy inside which means that the veggies were not dried before wrapping and frying. Still was tasty though. The fried chicken actually tasted like fried chicken not the usual goodness I pray this is chicken that you normally get from Chinese food places. It didn't have a smell either it was crispy and juicy and had a nice amount of flavor. The hibachi stand was not extravagant but you get what you pay for and is still nice and a neat idea. I didn't eat the shrimp I can not eat shrimp that isn't deveined on the top and bottom sorry I eat poop for no one! The steak they offer was a bit tough there wasn't any labeling of the meats above so I stuck to what I could identify. Garlic oil and teriyaki were a good combo and the veggies came out yummy! Pork egg rolls were mostly breading, only a little pork and cabbage no carrots at all. The whiting fish was really eggy (hmm is that a word?) still not bad just dipped in soy sauce and added some salt and pepper. To much ketchup used to make the orange chicken I hate ketchup so to me it was gross. The pepper chicken was delish. The pepper shrimp nice pepper flavor to it but a bit eggy as well. The beef and broccoli was yummy as well. Sesame chicken had a nice crunch and good flavor. Grilled chicken was good and not sure what it is... This place isn't bad, I just left and I was actually excited to try it especially when I walked in and started to fill up my plate and my glasses got fogged up meaning the food was HOT!. Oh yeah the yeast rolls... look delicious... but kind of dry and oddly no bread in the middle, I know sounds weird, was like someone sucked out the middle of my bread which made it dry, but the top half was tasty.

I must say I went to Hibachi Grill for the first time with my boyfriend and I didn't think the food was that great accept for the Asian food. The mash potatoes tasted like instant especially their brown gravy. Also, I had dessert and some of the cakes don't taste fresh. I will give them another chance but I've had a lot better somewhere else

  • Nony N.

The food was actually pretty good, and there was a lot of great choices. However it was all cold! It wasn't just one or two dishes that were not hot, they all were! I keep trying to get my family to go back and give Supreme Buffet another chance, but they were all too grossed out at a buffet without hot food. This restaurant has such potential. If they make their food hot (at least the food that's supposed to be hot), then I'll become a fan!

Visited the week they opened, half the "hot" food was ice cold, a total mess-CLEAN IT UP, people!!! Close your eyes-every dish tastes alike unless you can see it. Fishy tasting chicken is NOT a thing of beauty...ugh. I'm a buffet lover, but this is honestly as big a loser as Home Town Buffet....SKIP IT!!!!! WAITSTAFF ARE CRANKY AND TOTALLY UNPLEASANT....hint: if you're SERVING the public LOSE THE ATTITUDE.

This Resturant has a good atmosphere lots of eating room... My wife n i tried this place on Sunday get full feel of Dinner menus. It has a lot of food choices some good not so good... Roast beef was soaking in gravy as well for the Prime Rib making it taste and look like Pot Roast....pork ribs looked taste like they were boiled..no flavor no sauce...most of all there food is soaking in some kind of sauce or gravy..Salmon was coverd in Red Sauce... Most of the rest of the food was typical Chinese ... Desert bar is the best out of everything... I feel the Habichi Grill in East Providence is better...

What a horrible experience. The food was just so nasty. Everything was greasy. The cutlery was dirty. I watch a waitress sneeze, look down at her hands, wipe her hands off with a blue cloth and then use same cloth to wipe down tables! I didn't want to touch a thing after that. I had the green beens, mixed veggies, seasame chicken, dumplings, fried rice and a few other smaller seafood dishes. None of it was great. Most of it was terrible. I got a cup of Hot and Sour soup. It was palatable until I got down towards the bottom. I felt something weird at the bottom of the cup. I dug around with my spoon and lifed up a cardboard top to an ice cream cup. I don't know if it was dropped there or if it went throught he dishwasher that way. Either case I was really grossed out. I tried to cleanse my palate with fruit. Even that tasted terrible. How can fruit taste bad? I paid by credit card. While I was signing the waitress stood over me. I was only going to give a $2 tip because she only came around twice. Once to get dirty dishes and the other to ask if we were done. I felt so pressured I gave her more money. She did not deserve the tip. Also your floor was so slippery (probably because your food is dripping in grease!) that I saw 3 people slip in 3 different places. Folks I was there for an hour. That is not acceptable. Never, ever, EVER again will I try this restaurant.

Everyone that knows buffets knows that the wrong time to go is late in the evening near closing time. They aren't bringing out as much fresh food because it's usually not that crowded. Well, we didn't take that advice and were pleasantly surprised. We got there about an hour before closing and the food was pretty good. They have a nice selection. There are better Asian style buffets out there but this one is definitely OK to frequent (or hit up on the occasional buffet craving.) The American food is a bit something to be desired, so if you have picky eaters (A.K.A. KIDS) it may be best to try and get them to eat some of the Asian themed foods. Desserts are plentiful, as well as the sushi. I didn't try either so I can't really say how it is but it all looked pretty delicious.

Probably the best chinese buffet I've been to in RI, and quite cheap too. I was surprised that their sushi was actually halfway decent. Food selection is good. The place is also very cleanly. My only criticism would be that the wait staff seem to speak very poor english (which is kind of expected in these places) and they seem rather oblivious to whatever you say to them. I have also heard this place has had a few "off days," but I've never experienced that myself.

Yea its cheap but the quality of the food is low..Jam packed seating made even more of a negative event..They have a Hibachi station but you have to wait very long for your order and tip each time..The beef quote unquote was so tuff I thought could be horse meat, need I say more..Dont go unless your broke or don't care what you injest..

Honestly this restaurant was a huge disappointment. My husband and I stopped in on a Saturday night. We had a five minute wait for a table. We took the fact that it was busy as a good sign... We were wrong. The restaurant is a buffet style with a grill in the back for custom dishes. As I battled the elbowing crowds, I assembled a plate of rice, mixed vegetables, and crab Rangoon. The rice was way undercooked and I took a bite that was completely crunchy and hurt my throat going down. I should has spit it out. The vegetables were bland if not actually bad tasting. The crab Rangoon was too sweet, oily, and, buttery. My husband got 3 kinds of chicken and rice. He was equally disappointed. He got a chocolate chip cookie from the desert bar and took one bite (my husband never passes up a cookie). Perhaps the most disheartening part of our Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet experience was the waiter who replenished drinks. My husband and I both had diet cokes. The waiter asked if I would like a refill and when I replied "yes", he took my glass (with straw) and preceded to stop at a neighboring table to pick up their glasses for refill as well. The glasses with straws were returned refilled, but I couldn't shake the suspicion that the waiter could have easily given me another persons pre-sipped glass and straw. The glasses were identical, and our drinks the same color. This seemed unsanitary, especially given the flu epidemic and the fact that the guy at the neighboring table kept coughing. Eww. My husband and I decided not to visit the buffet a second time. $30 later, we left hungry, a bit disgusted, and quietly laughing in disbelief at the endless stream of customers continuing to pour into the restaurant.

We went for lunch....and we found that the food was rather bland.....we would prefer China buffet much more. It's reasonably priced and did not really have the feel of Chinese food....they had various chicken, but it wasn't really Chinese chicken, more like Americanized chicken (Bbq.)

I always get the fresh hibachi. I pick here and there for small bites, but hibachi is just too fresh and custom made to my taste! Soups are good and for dinner, I'm always in line for crawfish! Yum!

They have a great selection but if you've been to a Chinese buffet before you already know what it tastes like..it's standard, run if the mill food. There is a partial raw bar, but after first taste I DID NOT finish my clams; they tasted terrible! The hibachi grill was a nice addition with cook-to-order vegetables. The sushi... Think Stop & Shop quality... The price is in line with what they offer though at $10 for dinner and the large entrance is nice.

This place recently opened up and is fantastic. I really hope they keep up the cleanliness and good food. This is located in the old Hometown Buffet location next to Target. Entering the restaurant is a little confusing if it is busy. There is a cashier station, however you need to go to the little podium NEXT to the cashier station. There was a very large group of folks waiting and it was chance that I got in the right line. The larger the party the longer you will have to wait. It was only my girlfriend and I, so we were seated in less than 2 minutes at a 2-seater table. The table, by the way, was wobbly and very annoying. Wheres Peter Griffin's A-Team when you really need them? My complaint about the dining area is the wall separating the waiting area from the dining area is short. Not usually a problem, but I find it quite annoying when some guy is leaning up against the wall with his elbow almost over your head dropping the F-bomb every other word. I'm not expecting the creme-de-la-creme of Warwick to walk in, but really, guy. Lot of kids around that don't really need to hear that. The food isn't bad. Typical Chinese buffet stuff. Couple different types of fried rice, beef and broccoli, Generals chicken, carve your own beef, turkey, and ham, fried fish, chicken wings, various soups, mashed potatoes, sweet and sour chicken, and a lot more numerous items. If ya wanna know, head on over! The hibachi is pretty cool. You pile what you want on a plate, hand it over to the cooks and they cook it for you while you watch. They also offer various sauces if you want them. Rice, couple types of noodles, broccoli, peppers, jalapenos, onions, all sorts of stuff. They also have small steaks, small chicken breasts, and shredded chicken, beef, and shrimp. My only issue there is the shrimp was making their way into the chicken bin. For someone with a severe seafood allergy, that could be an issue. The steaks weren't anything special. Tasted to me like cheap beef. It was pre-seasoned with pepper. Not bad, but it wasn't Texas Roadhouse. The shredded meats were really nice. After my meal was cooked, they mixed in teriyaki and soy sauces. Very good is all I can say! The one serious issue was my girlfriend found a small piece of metal in her rice. I won't hold it against them as it could have very easily been in there from their supplier and it did not appear to be malicious. Besides, stuff happens. Overall, I say go, go go!!!!! Keep up the good work and quality and this place will be around for a long time.

This is a larger-than-usual Chinese buffet dining experience. The variety of food is also impressive: you find yourself pretty giddy with anticipation walking in. And that's great because you'll be waiting to be seated - so soak it all in! The food itself is mediocre. But there's a wide variety. If you're a vegetarian, they have: macaroni and cheese, spinach and cheese, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, bread, mixed veggies, string beans. Maybe at the hibachi station you could request all veggies. Besides that, you get the typical raw garden salad bar (you create it yourself). The dessert won me over because there was cheesecake that had a very cold, firm consistency. What can I say, I'm a sucker for it! There was also a subtly, sweet tiny cupcake dessert which was stale, but flavorful. Waiters and waitresses are very efficient so don't be surprised if they drop off your check before you're ready. But it's a good thing they do - with all of the business, they need to flip the tables quickly. And advice: as with any buffet with young children present...keep an eye on them if they are wandering the self-service area without an adult. I've seen some kids do some pretty nasty stuff when trying to decide what to eat, such as dipping their finger in fruit juices to taste it...a couple of times (-_-)

This is getting 5 stars considering it's a Chinese buffet. I'm not really one for chinese buffets, but this one is actually really good. 5 long bars of food, tons of sushi being made at all times, a hibachi grill, a dessert bar and a cold bar. Good stuff cheap

In terms of Chinese Buffets this is one of the best ones around. I have been here 2-3 times since it opened. Every time I have been here I have been impressed. It is always clean and the food is constantly refilled and it never seems to have been sitting there (Sad to say that I need to mention this in a review but some buffets...). This buffet has your standard Chinese buffet staples as well as some unique that I haven't seen at other buffets and a pretty decent dessert and fruit section. They also have a hibachi in the back where you pick your rice/noodle, vegetables, meats, and sauce to create your own dish. The chef does a great job to not drown it in the sauce either. One thing I was surprised at was the sushi selection. They have 12-15 different choices out. Some of their choices even had raw fish which is rare in a Chinese buffet and they seemed appropriately regulated in terms of temperature. I have enjoyed all of my visits and will no doubt return. If you are on Rt. 2 and have a Chinese craving or are just looking to stuff your face, give the Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet a try. Their name leaves no mystery as to what your are going to get there.

Nothing impressive. Hibachi was the only thing I cared to eat and enjoyed. They do try but nothing was appealing to me. Maybe it was because it was lunch or maybe it was an off day. Either way if I find myself making excuses because I feel bad the servers were so nice, its usually a sign I won't be returning..

Americanized Chinese food - check All you can eat - check Sushi included - check Hibachi included - check Okay, so pull up the feed bag and get busy. All right, so is it the best Chinese food around, no. Is it the best buffet around, quite possible. I did make the rounds and did a little sample of a lot of things. What, I had to take one for the team. Anyway, I did keep it down to sample sizes. I only found one thing I did not like, which was the stuffies. The place is huge, and the staff seems to manage it all. The sushi has actual sushi as well as various rolls. The Hibachi is one of the 'load the bowl' type and then hand off to the grill cook. They do have some of the best crab Rangoon around though. They also do Pepsi product, which is thumbs up from me. So bottom line for me, it is a buffet which is usually just a step above a trip to the hospital. This one on the other hand, is very good. Cost Monday - Thursday is 9.99 and the Friday - Sunday is 10.99. There is a kids price as well. So for what it is (a buffet), they are getting 4 stars from me

The quality of the food on the buffet deserves 2-3 stars. The hibachi grill and variety does however deserve a solid 3.

I totally gotta say, I have no flippin' clue how Supreme Buffet could possibly warrant a one star. Unless the one star stands for "this place is so wall crawling awesome that it totally defies all rating standards," I don't really get it. A brand new restaurant now situated where the once mediocre Hometown Buffet stood, Hibachi Grill & Buffet has pretty much.. everything. Ample seating, clean bathrooms and of course.. the food. Tons and tons of..food. From chicken wings, fingers, breasts to various cuts of beef & pork, I was pretty shocked at the sheer variety. There's also plenty of fresh sushi and an awesome DIY grill where you choose your pickings on a plate and a chef cooks it up nice & fresh. Did I totally mention all this is included in the standard price? On my first stop by, I tried a small sample of as much as I could: awesome beef with broccoli, fantastic mixed veggies, chicken teriyaki is primo.. and oh em gee, deep fried cucumber?! Sweet fried PLATINOES?! I gotta give it to these dudes: despite having such a ginormous amount of food, everything is absolutely kept fresh and the trays are changed out frequently. There's also a decent variation of "homestyle" American dishes like pot roast, baked fish, mashed potatoes, etc. Totally not bad and so much better than Hometown Buffet's. Of course they have the standard dessert dishes but other than ice cream, I've never bothered snagging pastries from a chinese dig. (Seriously?) Did I mention this is totally included in the price? Which brings me to the best part: the price. $6.99 for the lunch buffet, with hibachi, sushi and what's typically considered dinner foods at other buffets. Seriously amazing. I really do recommend this place. I truly hope they continue this same level of service and quality food since we all know the elicit buffet can go downhill, quick.

First time here. Last time here. This place seems to try hard to be average. Sadly, they fail miserably. Food is cold and tasteless. Except the cold food which is warm and tasteless. Hibachi chef throws stuff on grill, then on plate...no cutting or mixing of items. Some people say the sushi is great....people, have you ever eaten sushi. This is the over the top worst sushi I have ever seen. I say seen, not eaten because it was inedible. Dessert was marginal if you are 10 years old. Why two stars? Because it met my low expectations. Skip this place....your taste buds will thank me!

I actually created a yelp profile to write this review. We are hosting a German exchange student and wanted to take her to a hibachi place. Although the sign said buffet, we thought it would have more hibachi type options. A lot of people were coming into the restaurant, so we figured we would give it a try. The decor was... Well, let's just say the soft blue neon glow gave it the air of a classy gentleman's club. We were seated at a booth with a divider made of glass, so unlike a gentleman's club, there was no privacy to enjoy the experience. The food was, like other reviews have stated, awful. I started with crab rangoons, chicken wings, and dumplings. Once I dipped each grease-covered delicacy in soy sauce, it was edible at best. Round two, let's go for "American" fare... The potato skin was dry, the prime rib was well past it's prime, but hooray for mashed potatoes! That's the only thing I finished. Our daughter tried the sushi rolls, and spit one out into her one-ply napkin, stating the roll "tasted like PETCO." I wish I was exaggerating, but I'm not. You could see through the ghostly napkin, just like the glass booth divider. And I don't know if our daughter tried eating fish food before, but that was her comparison. We didn't dare try the hibachi. Ok, dessert. You can't screw that up, right? WRONG. I've never met an ambrosia I didn't like until today. And the cream puff was neither creamy in the middle nor puffy. Stick with jello, or the little ice cream cups. Our poor German guest was in awe at the whole experience, and we all marveled at the amount of people in the place. People, please choose quality over quantity. I'd take McDonald's any day over this place. 'Murica.

I like all the choices, however the Chinese food itself was either over cooked, soaking in butter, or bland.. The "American food" wasn't bad Wait staff was slow.. still waiting on my check, 10min now

I tried this place ONCE and will never go back. I just thought I'd give it a try - did not go because they were recommended or anything of that nature. Here's the story: there are hundreds of bins of food set out on tables. And there is one place where you can get food cooked to order - something along the lines of Mongolian BBQ only WAY less tasty! There is just too freaking much food to choose from and none of it is as tasty as the dish it "represents" would be in a normal place. One pays by the weight of the food. YUCK. It just gives me the creeps to think about ever going back. Nothing is seriously bad, or dirty or smelly or anything like that. I just think it's an awful way to dine - felt like an Army mess hall.

The restaurant is very clean. The waitstaff is surprisingly good for a buffet and the food is fresh, the food treys full and its steaming hot. The only problem about the food is it's terrible. Shockingly awful. I was of a mind that there was no such thing as bad Chinese food, certainly some is much better than others but this was a truly one of a kind experience in just awfulness that I must admit amused my girlfriend and I. The buffet isn't expressive but for the ten bucks I highly recommend just going to your usual spot and getting a combination plate.

We come here for family events (reunions, birthdays, etc). They have an enclosed area at the back that you can reserve if you have 20 people in your party. The walls give you some privacy. Big selection of food. They're always full and busy so there's faster turnover of the food. Wide variety of sushi. Fresh ingredients on the hibachi. They're quite good here!

Never again. .. never! Sure you can eat all you want for minimal cost but in my mind, quality over quantity is the way to go. Everything I had was bland and many things that shouldn't of had a mushy texture, did. On my way out I saw a staff member take some type of pastry that was on the counter where everyone's dirty hands have been and put it back on the tray. If that wasn't enough, as he was walking away he used his shoe to push food that was on the floor to the side. Because picking it up would be too much work?

I just want to say I've been here a decent amount of times and I know what to expect as far as food quality. However, tonight was terrible not the only food being terrible but especially our waitress. My brother must of asked for a soda 5 times, clearly she can't understand English. She got very rude and mean, she actually took the soy sauce bottle right from our table when my dad was about to use it. She didn't even say anything, just took the soy sauce bottle and ran. Never got it back, had to ask another waiter for one, the guy waiter on the other hand was terrific. The waitress we had should be fired! She was washing tables while we were waiting for the check. We won't be going back for some time. Hibachi Grill actually hire people that can understand English. Maybe teach some of your wait staff a thing or two in manners also.

Have been here many times. The food never disappoints. First time for lunch. We brought family visiting from out of town. They enjoyed it also. Great selection even for the pickiest of people. Great desert section also. The restaurant is clean. The food is always full and hot and when it runs low they fill it right away. They also have sushi and a hibachi with a nice selection of items they will cook for you.

A big boofay Boofays are becoming quite popular and the vast majority are these Asian American types of places. Most are pretty similar, lots of different types of pseudo Chinese food with some sushi and other things like French fries and perhaps fried chicken thrown in for good measure. If you expect personalized service and gourmet food at a boofay you are sadly mistaken. What you get is a bezillion different types of food and a plate. The rest is up to you. I like Hibachi Grill, it's quick, clean, convenient and you get to choose from a whole heap of different food. No waiting around for a server, you just grab a plate and go at it. I have no idea what authentic or gourmet Asian food is but I suspect this isn't it. But the food they do have always seems fresh and tasty. I like the different choices, you can really oink out or because of all the veggies available you can actually have a responsible and healthy meal here. Boofays are different, not a place to sit back and talk with friends over a glass of snooty wine and some fine food. These place are meant for a quick, huge, fast and cheap meal. And Hibachi Grill does that very well.

Went here over the weekend because a friend wanted to go. The food was good. Lots of variety. In my opinion, they should have a closer eye on the kids taking food from the buffet. Saw kids sticking their hands in the food and putting things back. The place was very packed. The table we got was dirty and asked for us to get food while they cleaned up. Bathroom smelled terrible. I was grossed out. Don't really want to go again but it was cheap food for the amount we got. Also, if you decide to get take out, realize its based on how much your food weighs. My friend paid more for take out than for her buffet meal.

I am a big fan of Chinese buffets. But this place was enough to make me quit them forever. We got there when the place opens and all the food was just being put out and it was still cold. All of the food lacked flavor and some was inedible. I think I spit out more food that I ate. The service was what you would expect at A Chinese buffet nonexistent. I am giving them one star because they were clean and had a lot of options. But I guess the options don't matter much if they all taste like crap.

I'm a fan of Chinese buffets for a few reasons. The no frills, limited service atmosphere is great for an express lunch or a chill dinner with friends. The places I like have a handle on the staples of your favorite Chinese / Thai food take out joint.. I have received a few flyers from this place since I moved down to Warwick and I've thought about trying it because it looked appetizing. A friend suggested I try it so 3 of us went there a few days before Halloween. Upon arriving, it is no frills as expected. You get a napkin and a fork, knives are upon request. Seriously, you have to ask for a knife. Then the server shoots you a strange glance and asks you if everyone needs one. I didn't know if it was a joke or if she was serious, so I turned to my friends to answer for themselves. The food at the buffet was generally cold and not seasoned. I took just one bite of several items. There was no flavor to persuade me to keep eating anything I tried. The menu items all tasted very uniform and bland. On the grill side of things, the hibachi cook burns everything on the flat top while you watch politely. Don't forget to tip. I'm definitely not planning on eating here again. If you're looking for a good Chinese buffet in Warwick, this is NOT the place to go.

My family goes out to Chinese buffet once a year, and before this place opened, we would try out a new restaurant each time. Now it's a given that we eat here. They have a great selection of Chinese food, sushi, made to order grill, southern comfort food, and normal american food. They really do have food for everybody, which they cook well and serve for decent prices ($12 on weekends). Even if you pile up a take-out box, it's only ~$7.

I have not been here in a few months but I've been here about 6-7 times and I like it.i was surprised to see a lot of the bad reviews. I've always come for dinner and everything is always pretty fresh. They have a big variety and also a hibachi bar.the sushi section is ok for "buffet" sushi. Good desert selection with things you don't see often like Hershey's ice cream bàrs and cheesecake(not best cheesecake but hey) They keep sending me coupons in the mail for a few bucks off the buffet so it makes it a good deal. Service has always been decent. I will continue to come here.

Not good for those with celiac's disease. The only thing I found myself enjoying in this place was the hibachi. I wanted to eat the sushi, but when I picked up the tongs they were covered in a nasty slimy film. -- They needed to be washed, and they were way too short for comfort. Most of the food at Hibachi Grill, is "American" food, or "American chinese food". Both food groups were lacking flavor-- Well, okay I didn't try the "American food", but the "chinese" food was pretty bland. This place was pretty disappointing.

Best buffet in Rhode Island! I went there for the first time during lunch on a Saturday and for the lunch selection, it was pretty good.I had Hibachi fried rice, meat loaf, sesame chicken, and Italian sausage all on one plate! I love all of the variety from Hibachi, Sushi, Chinese, and American food . Remember try not to over stuff yourself because they gave an awesome selection for dessert.

Sometimes this is hit or miss. But for the price I can't really complain. My favorite is the hibachi grill. Where you make your own plate and they stir fry it right in front of you with various sauces. A lot if the other food tends to be dried out but there are a few chicken dishes I really enjoy. The wait staff is very quick and attentive, to clearing plates, and refilling drinks. Basically it's not gourmet food, but it's extremely cheap, and worth it for a quick bite to eat. I also enjoy the sushi.

  • Steven P.

Maybe it was too busy. Maybe I was in a foul mood. Whatever the reason, our most recent visit to Hibachi was fairly hideous. Like any of the Chinese buffets in the area, you have to be picky and attentive. But on this night, the negatives far outweighed the positives. Chinese buffets of this sort are a guilty pleasure anyway -- cheap eats, unlimited quantities, unusual selections, and sometimes the food isn't even half bad. But after enduring two trips to the trough for chewy, flavorless alleged-beef and cold vegetables, and returning to my table with sticky hands from all the folks who couldn't figure out which end of the serving spoon to use, I accidentally kicked a discarded clam shell which slid across the greasy floor like a hockey puck and ricocheted off an old lady's orthopedic shoe. And for dessert? Custard teasingly flavored with unignited butane. So why a two-star review and not one? Well, a half star goes to the beverage servers who were pleasant and attentive... and the other half is because overall, I should have known better.

Best Chinese buffet I've visited! Great locale, unbeatable dinner price of under $11. Ended up going here after our first choice was closed due to remodeling. Hibachi had the largest array of food available, except there wasn't any boneless spare ribs (for my boyfriend). It was also the only hibachi I've been to where the food was actually the proper temperature. Along with the buffet, there's a hibachi and sushi buffet. The sushi was so fresh, unlike most buffet sushi. The atmosphere is very bright and clean. Definitely will be revisiting!

All buffets are the same you might say. I say nay, this one has pretty tasty sushi! All you can eat sushi and Chinese food sounds ay-o-tay to me! The food is quantity over quality but not by much. If I'm in the area I'd stop by again.

This is a pretty good place if you are super hungry, desparate, and not super picky. The place is somewhat dirty. I would definately worry about picking something up health wise...Although I haven't over the 5-6 times I have eaten here. The Grill part is pretty much worth its weight in gold. The sushi, American Food, and most of the Chinese food, are pretty gross and not very appetizing. A lot of the entries look like frozen packaged food from BJs. The spare ribs look reheated, like the packaged stuff you would find preglazed in plastic in the meat area in the supermarket. Pretty much all of the American food looks like it is quick reheated food stuffs from a distributor. It is amazing to see people piling up their plates full of that stuff. For $12.00 it is an amazing price for what you get. If you want stir fried veg at the grill you can get them, but check to see if they are WASHED. Many of the items on the stir fry bar are dirty, like there is literally dirt on them. Actual dirt. Look closely, and try to really see what you are putting on your plate. ITs a volume business so quality isn't part of the business model. Neither is, it seems, washing their veggies! I probably would give them 2 stars for hygeine. If you can over look dirt on the food in the stirfry hibachi place, and mediocre cleanliness, then come to this establishment. People need to make a living, so I support the idea of this type of business. If you are short on cash and do not mind being around a huge amount of people in a huge restaurant, then go!

Not that good, unfortunately. Maybe it was an off day but the food was cold at times, vegetables were wilting, and food was flavorless. The white rice seemed to have a very, very shiny substance all over it (how can you mess up white rice?), and the selection was a little odd. As my mom and I decided where I'd take her out to lunch she said, "Not crazy about it, but willing to give it another shot." I think sometimes we do that with buffets. We give it another hopeful go, and find familiar disappointment at the end. Perhaps, we should have known better.

Very big buffet, lots of food to choose from which was a bit overwhelming. The quality was not great. The dessert bar was very impressive for a Chinese buffet. It was extremely busy for a Saturday night, however we only waited about 10 minutes for a table which wasn't so bad. Because it was so busy I felt very rushed when picking out the food. I won't return here again.

I have to say that I was a little disappointed in this Chinese buffet. I am however, a vegetarian, and therefore writing this review from this perspective. I have always been hinky about Chinese food as a rule. But one of my coworkers said there would be enough for me to eat here, so off we went! The buffet is huge here. Probably one of the biggest I have seen. But you know the saying 'jack of all trades, master of none'? I felt that although there was a heck of a lot of food here, that there was nothing especially well done. There was a salad bar, but there wasn't a crazy amount of toppings. There was lo mien, but it seemed to have too many veggies and not enough noodles. That kind of thing. The mac and cheese was awesome, but is that a reason to come to a Chinese food restaurant? Also, I wasn't loving the overflowing bowl of shrimp next to the lettuce. I just could see some idiot using the same tongs for both. Yuck. So all in all, yes, there was veggie friendly options, the wait staff was good, the food was okay, but would I go back? The jury is still out on that one.

I have probably tried every Chinese buffet in the state, and many more out of state including CT, MA, NH, NY and NJ. I've been here three or four times and this one is the best of them all.

One word: Disgusting. It's like the other reviewer before me said, I'll take quality over quantity. I honestly wish I never had a single bite to eat here. I will never eat here again .

  • Rachel D.

Was feeling hungry and decided to try the Hibachi Grill. What a mistake it turned out to be. The food from the grill had no taste and the buffet was gross. The floor was slimy and the service was non existent. I felt sick all night.

    (5)
  • Kate W.

The large selection is incredible, the food and service is good. The low price is unbeatable. This is the place to go if you like Chinese food and buffet dinners. Loved it!

Yum!

    (3)
  • Joyce T.

Figured why not got there clean place all new friendly staff till I got my food horrible this place has taken Chinese food to a all new low it was hometown buffet Chinese style the only upside was the salad bar because all they had to do was place it McDonald's would have been a better choice

The large selection is incredible, the food and service is good. The low price is unbeatable. This is the place to go if you like Chinese food and buffet dinners. Loved it!

  • Jason N.

Yum!

  • Stephanie K.

Family of 5, Sunday afternoon ~ after a 15 minute wait we were seated. The food selection was varied ~ most of it very tasteful. The desserts were not awesome but not bad. The staff was pleasant and helpful. It is after all a buffet ~ we enjoyed it and would return.

This has got to be one of the worst buffets I have ever been to. There was hardly any ethnic food and what food there was was very soggy and mushy not good at all and will not go back

Not for me. I love a good Asian inspired buffet but everything I had was either overcooked or bland right and I tried a little bit of everything. The plus side is they had a lot of variety. However, i won't be returning to this restaurant.

  • Rachel D.

Was feeling hungry and decided to try the Hibachi Grill. What a mistake it turned out to be. The food from the grill had no taste and the buffet was gross. The floor was slimy and the service was non existent. I felt sick all night.

    (1)

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
