Just absolutely love the burgers and fries! I love the idea that you start with a simple hamburger or cheese burger and have tons of toppings optional...and free!! Ill give you a hint on sonething...our first visit was in New Jersey a few years ago..we all ordered french fries..not knowing that the small is like having two lg ones from Mc Donalds.. And there fresh..not frozen..yummy

Absolutely amazin' burger and fries. I tried the Bacon Cheeseburger with all topings. Everything fresh and very tasty. Try the vanilla shake with cream. It's fantastic. My girl took a grilled cheese sandwich. One of the best we ever had.

Ok, so let me just say, I love burgers and I love shakes even more. Now that Five Guys has shakes, they are seriously appealing to my inner and outer fatty. When I saw they had different flavored shakes that you could add bacon as well, I literally melted into a pool. The shakes were awesome, the burgers are always great and the fries are always too much for me to eat, which is not a complaint. The staff always seems to be super nice and smiley.

By far, my most favorite franchise for burger and fries. Did I mention the fries? Five Guys features fries produced by potatoes from area farms, and to call them AMAZING is an understatement. Be sure to order a small order, as the restaurant is known for throwing in a handful of those starchy beauties on top of every order. Burgers are always fresh and juicy, and built with an array of topics built to order. My waistline doesn't lie about how much I love Five Guys. =)

Five Guys now gets Five Stars from me!! Last time we were there, quite recently, I discovered hot dogs on the menu and they rock!! (I was not a fan of their burgers because they are served sort of well done). The hot dog is big and split down the middle and served on a long hotdog roll with your choice of toppings. (They taste sort of like kosher hot dogs or like the RI favorite, Saugy's.) The fries were cooked perfectly and were to die for. There are peanuts everywhere so if you're allergic to peanuts you might wish to not eat here. * * * * *

The words that have never been spoken at this location are, "nice job cleaning up". The one word that best describes this location is 'soiled'. The burgers are great but I needed a body prophylactic to sit in the dining room to eat it. My 95lb vegetarian daughter ordered the $3.95 grilled cheese sandwich that apparently threw the kitchen into an uproar as nobody on site knew how to make one. We waited as five clients after us received their orders until my hamburger and my daughter's grilled cheese emerged after multiple kitchen conferences. The grilled cheese wasn't a sandwich, it was a grilled cheese 'bite'. This was the first time in twenty-five years my daughter EVER complained of having insufficient food to eat at any restaurant. After the protracted experience, we just left to get food at another restaurant. This Five Guys location is a big fail.

15 minutes I waited to get a single and small fries. There was no customer ahead of me and 9, yes 9 people behind the counter. Most of them went in the back and stuck one guy with making everything. Quite a few customers came in after me and instead of serving me first, he tried to make everyone at the same time so I had to wait extra long. I got a refund and left without getting my food. I will NEVER be back to 5 Guys. Wake up and start providing customer service.

We tried Five Guys when they first opened in RI. LOVE. They have the best burgers, always cooked upon order. Their fries are the best I've ever had. I'm not a fries gal but love these. They use fresh potatoes and the skin is on the fries. Upon entrance you can help yourself to a box of roasted peanuts in the shell. So it is not a peanut free joint. Atmosphere is great. Staff works diligently. A regular burger is a double or you can get the "little" which is a single. It's messy but so worth it. I bet mine with cheese, grilled mushrooms and onions, lettuce and mayo! Yummy!

Great burger and fries. Very convenient when your shopping around on route 2 and you looking for something quick but good. Ordered the bacon cheeseburger and it comes with whatever toppings you'd like with no extra charge. The fries are always plentiful and I only ordered the regular! Burgers are fresh and fries are delicious. Staff is very friendly and on top of everything, place was very clean even their back cooking area. Try them out the next time your in the area and craving a burger that's not through a drive through

What can I say that has not been said about five guys. Greasy burgers check, fresh fries check, toppings check and a great staff. I usually come here instead of burger King or mcd's, they have a secret menu but won't do it unless you order online.

My first time here last night. The staff was super welcoming! The man behind the counter enthusiastically exclaimed that he was going to make me the best burger of my life and bloody heck, he delivered! I thought the burger that I had at Gordon Ramsay's joint in Vegas was good, but this guy was an artist! He had passion too, which is not something you expect to see in a burger joint. He OWNED his kitchen space! The owner of this store and this manager should be well proud of their staff. They are welcoming, knowledgeable and have SUPER energy! I am going to get back there anytime I am over at that plaza and I told my mother the next time she is visiting, we are going there! They accept credit cards. I suggest the cajun fries with some sweet tea for a side. They had heat!

Great tasting burgers and Fries! The staff is very friendly (especially this guy Craig). He's always in the a good mood and interacts with the customers. This place is probably one of the best fast food places I been to in a while.

We were shopping at a nearby pet store and though we had plans to eat at a healthier joint down the street, we couldn't resist the smells emanating from this place. The burgers are great and I love that you can choose your toppings. The fries are awesome and even the peanuts are delicious. This particular visit was notable because our fries didn't come with the usual overfill. I didn't complain because I thought we didn't need the extra calories but a super-friendly staff member came out and gave us the extra fries. Skip the drive-in down the street the next time you're in the mood for a burger and fries.

Just an update on the horrible experience I received biting into a bone in a hamburger from Five Guys Burgers and Fries on Quaker Lane, Warwick. After waiting a week to see if my tooth would calm down, I went to my dentist and was informed I had cracked my tooth from the bone in the burger. Three days later I had a root canal to treat the crack. This has turned into a very expensive burger and as far as I'm concerned, I'm not paying for that. I will be contacting Five Guys and frankly, I'm surprised they ignored my prior post with no response. Beware customers and look out for bones if you choose to eat at their sorry establishment.

It was not busy when I came to place a to go order. On walking in I noticed the restaurant to be very well lit and clean. I was greeted immediately and asked for an order. Service was very polite and courteous. Food came up quickly and again employees were very courteous and food over to me. Food was great. Seems like a well-run five guys restaurant. I will go again.

I think it's because I did not realize it's a fast food joint. Some friends raved about this place and people don't typically rave about fast food, so I assumed some sort of quality. Anyway. Greasy, bland, forgettable, overpriced. Worse that large chain fast food, in my opinion.

    (2)
  • Swaggy P.

I ordered a burger with stuff on it and I received a plain hamburger. None of the toppings I ordered were on it. There were also multiple other people that had their orders messed up too. Maybe the employees should spend less time goofing off and more time trying to get the orders right.

The wife wanted to go to the Grand Opening of Chick Fill A, but the line was put of control to say the least. So we decided to go to 5 guys. We have been to the warwick 5 guys on several occasions and it has never let us down. The burgers are always made to order and the fresh are delicious! You cant go wrong with 5 guys in warwick. Staff is always very accommodating. Which is why they get 5 stars!

Wow. Love, love, love this place. Fast - but each meal is made to order. Friendly - the people that work here are very nice. Clean - every Five Guys I have been in is super-clean. Have it your way - any way you want it. Fan - I am a huge fan. Sure, not an every day event since my typical lunch there is probably 6,000 calories but it's a great every once in a while treat.

GREASE CENTRAL... PEANUT CENTRAL I personally think that 5 Guys is overrated. I think that you can get a Burger, fries and a soda, cheaper at a sit down restaurant. When you order fries, buy a small to spilt. I love fries and had to take home 3/4 of the bag/ cup.

    (4)
  • Robert M.

Great chain. Really good, consistent greasy burgers. I have enjoyed them from Texas, Atlanta and up the east coast. They invest a lot of time in building the same process at every shop. You can't go wrong. I am not going to proclaim they are the be all end all, but still really good. So if you are looking for that quality, build your own burger that delivers time after time, you cant do much better.

  • Lisa C.

I am always impressed by the freshness of their burgers. When I get a burger from Five Guys, I don't feel like I'm eating fast food. The veggies are all fresh and you can watch them make your burger while you wait. Because it is freshly made, though, sometimes the wait is a little long but it is always worth it. 4 out of 5 due to the fact that I can't stand my fries to be soggy, and I never need a whole bag of fries. Burgers are top notch, take a pass on the fries.

  • Rebecca R.

Burgers and fries, can't go wrong there! Waiting in line, snack on some peanuts that are by the boxful. Order a burger the way you like it, with a great selection of toppings you are sure to find something you like. They offer regular or seasoned fries. I personally like the regular, but if you like a little kick they will be right up your alley. (order a small to split, I can guarantee you will still have some left over) Greasy, heavenly goodness. May be overrated, but it is good and bottom line, what more can you ask for?

I previously reviewed a Florida location, and gave it 3. I guess there is a lot of variation with this chain. I get why the prices are higher than Crack Donalds, and the like, it's the patty, and the fresh fries. Fries which were hot with good texture, yet sort of flavorless..and thrown into a cup, then into a bag. The meat was cooked well, and had an ok flavor, everything else was pretty sad. The mushy gross bun, the yello lard cheez, and the bland oil soaked onions. How can you screw up fried onions?! I even got bbq sauce, and this did nothing to enhance flavor. Somehow everything was dry. The gastric symphony in the car on the way home was interesting. To quote some movie; "I just threw up in my mouth a little." I now understand why their website boasts no photos of the food.

Amazing! Honestly this is the best burger place I've ever been too. Upon my first visit I wasn't impressed when I seen the menu, but I get the idea, keep it simple and perfect what you have. Prices are good (for burgers at least hot dogs and veggie sandwiches are a little pricy) The fries are out if this world I like both the original and Cajun. They have giant things of peanuts to eat if you want some, personally I'm not a peanut fan. Crayons and index cards for the cork board is kinda cool especially if you have kids... Honestly I tell everyone about this place, it's amazing and well worth the money!

  • Jason N.

Ok the fries are 5 STARS but the burgers are meh. Great staff and kind of loud in there.

    (2)
  • Linda C.

Great choice when you are craving a burger and fries. Consistent friendly service and good food. I like to keep my burger simple - - just grilled onions and mushrooms, however all of their toppings are no extra charge! I don't think you can get that anywhere else. A small fry is more than enough to share since they always add another scoop to the brown bag.

  • Ryan W.

5 Guys is nice for a quick, greasy burger and some french fries. Or maybe even a hotdog and fries. The menu is short and sweet, the bulk of it being what types of toppings you can put on your food. Almost all toppings can be included free of charge, with a select few that cost extra. If you like your burger loaded with goodies, this will be a big plus for you. Staff are always decent, restaurant is always being cleaned. If you have peanut allergies, don't go in as they let you snack on peanuts and dump shells all over the place. I only go here once a year because it's so unhealthy, but whenever I am there (sometimes I go with a friend to pick up their takeout) we always add something to the little pushboard of index cards. They let you write something (usually it's 5 Guys related) and stick it up on the board. There are always funny things written. If you ever see a SLAYER LOVES 5 GUYS card posted there, you know myself or Jeffrey W. have been there recently.

Excellent floor lay-out. You walk in to the right side and walk down a corridor-style side to the counter. A very friendly and happy person takes your order. The menu is basic and the toppings many. That is the basic rule for good food..."keep it simple". The french fries are vast and hand cut. A small is generally plenty for two. The burgers are the stars! Juicy and a meaty double patty is the standard size. Even the roll is fresh. Well worth the $6 price (plus cost of fries). Every order is "brown bagged" whether you eat in or on the go. You'll walk away full and planning your next trip!

I love burgers, I love fries in turn I LOVE 5 Guys This place is a little treasure. This is still a fast food location so you can't really order your burger to your liking cooking temp wise but you can watch it get made fresh and topped with your choice of fresh toppings while you snack on some free peanuts. The fries are the best I have had, they give you a whole extra scoop in the bag they serve them in. Every time I have gone they have been hot and satisfying. They have regular and spicy varieties and both are amazing. I suggest trying them both. 5 guys also has hot dogs which I have never had but those I have gone wtih did and seemed to enjoy them just as much as I enjoyed my burger. When I go I get a Little Cheeseburger, the Cheeseburger is a double so if you are not starving Little Cheeseburger is the way to go. This totally takes care of any burger craving I might be having. The service there is really quick and they run a tight line calling out orders and keeping any line moving really smoothly. They seem to have the system down to pefection and the pay off is hot, delicious well made food.

Lets face it, it's fast food but so much better than the rest. Love the fries! Just order a small and they will cover your to-go food 4" deep. Keeps your burger nice and warm till you get home. Wouldn't eat there though unless you like really loud cafeterias. Outside seating in a parking lot is lame but it's better than inside.

Stopped by this afternoon so I wouldn't be hungry when I hit Stop and Shop next door for my grocery shopping afterwards. Good 5 guys location. Clean facility and friendly staff. I learned my lesson from previous visits and only had a "little burger" and regular fries so I wasn't stuffed when I was done. All in all for burger, fries and a drink, it was $8 and change. Much better than going to McDonalds; the fries are especially tasty! Won't hesitate to go again when the mood for a burger strikes.

Five stars? Really? It is only a burger joint. A good burger though. Each burger personalised as if you were making it for yourself. The fries are good (taste of potato) and the hot-dogs better. Despite the limited menu, they are fully versatile and I was rather instructed as to what McDonalds might have been like when it started out. This has now topped Wendy's as top fast-food burger chain. Highly qualified praise, but praise nonetheless. Also, free peanuts.

  • Jeff M.

Burger was good, but just that, not fantastic by any measure. They only cook to well done, BTW. Steer clear of the "Cajun" fries, dusted with dried herbs and twigs, way to ruin the tastiest thing in the place. I'd stick with the regular version of the very good fries, and a Coke, grab a burger somewhere else.

Always good for a cheat day!

  • Bill D.

Yes, it's a chain, but Five Guys is so far above and beyond other burger chains that it's really in a class of its own. Burgers and fresh cut fries made to order... hard to beat that. The menu could maybe stand a chicken sandwich so my wife could actually eat there with me, but that's really my only complaint.

    (4)
  • Jen L.

Yes 5 stars for a burger joint Steven D, it's as good as it gets for a burger joint. I rate places based on taste, value, customer service, cleanliness, consistency, etc, not against gourmet restaurants. I think many of us do. :) I have no complaints about 5 guys! The place is clean, staff is friendly, food is good, fries are REALLY good, quality is consistent, portions are generous (holy fries!) and the peanuts are free. My husband's favorite restaurants are the ones where you can throw peanut shells on the floor (even though I don't let him, messy Marvin). Skip Red Robin and shoot down the street to 5 Guys, their over priced, over hyped restaurant does not compare.

  • Paul B.

This is a grease factory. Can't believe this chain is a success and it's not cheap either!

    (2)
  • Laura M.

Not that 5 Guys needs another rave review, but what the heck! The staff here is always friendly, and the burgers and fries are always great. The only slightly negative things are the cajun fries, and the wait. I love spicy food, but the cajun seasoning just tastes like some sort of spoiled spice combo, so definitely stick to the regular fries. It's typically 5-10 minutes for your order, because everything is made to order. But they do give you free peanuts to snack on while you're waiting, which is nice. I recommend getting the Little Burger (which is a single patty) unless you have a huge appetite. Five Guys is always fresh, and always delicious, and really cheap, considering the quality! You get so much more quality and quantity here than in your standard fast food burger chains!

  • Sha'Ri R.

I make a way better burger than this! Its a fast food place they are just that. All the grease makes the bread soggy. Not any flavor other than your add ons. A bit over priced but fries are delicious and hot! Can find way better burgers and for a whole meal can def find better and cheaper.

Seriously. I did not have high hopes with the line snaking out the door when I arrived at this burger joint. But - I was solo and had some time to burn. And - I had heard such good things about this place. I decided I was willing to give it a shot. Good thing I did. First off, the line vanished in almost a blink of an eye. The folks that take your order have it down to a science and do it with a smile. I love...LOVE...the fact that they do not charge extra for going crazy with their burger toppings. Unlimited? Why certainly. I did the single with just about everything and stepped inside the corral to wait. There must have been 40 people crammed into this waiting area akin to the animal pen reference above. Not a huge area but luckily, not a long wait. The prep line runs with precision. And everyone seems to be having a good time. Not that it directly influences the outcome of my food, but a plus that workers seems to enjoy their duties. So the downside is that there is literally very little seating during the peak times. I was by myself so I actually sat myself down with a party that was "saving" a four-top table while they had someone ordering for them in line. I moved to an open counter seat after a few minutes but I am sure those folks were not psyched to have to share their precious table space. I find it slightly annoying that people do take up table space for line-waiters. If people just went through the line, picked up their food, ate and got outta there it would be more efficient. That being said...if you do go - bring a friend to save a table if you are going at a peak lunch / dinner hour. Or - grab to go. But the burger...sweet heaven on a bun. Nicely cooked thin patty aboard some toasty bread drenched with a generous amount of toppings. The mushrooms were piled high and spilling off. Not only free, but generous. Nice. The fries are the hand-cut variety. Crisp and hot and covered in seasoned salt. Yum. Thumbs up for the Five Guys...

Home-Town Fave Opens in RI! Five Guys originated in Arlington, VA -- where we lived for 25 years! -- and has always served reliably tasty, juicy burgers. And deliciously grilled dogs. When returning to New England last year, we were prepared for "Five Guys Withdrawal"... but thank goodness the new Warwick location has spared us! Way to go Five Guys! PS: Our college age son wants to know: when are you opening a storefront in Boston?!

    (4)
  • Valerie Z.

I like Five Guys. Free peanuts? Huge portions? Free refills? Homemade fries from actual potatoes? Stop. The. Bus. This is definitely a go-to place when you are craving a burger. I would choose this place over Red Robin any day of the week!

  • Bill W.

R(OCK and ROLL......these are just about the best burgers you can get out! They are made to order and whatever toppings you want are free, I just had a burger with extra cheese and grilled mushrooms and it was dynamite. Great bread, great toppings, and awesome fries. Burger, drink, and small fry and you are out the door for under $10.00 Peanuts are free! Here are a couple of dining tips: DO NOT order a large fry unless you want to make yourself sick or you are splitting it with 3 other people. Notice all the cool toppings that are available and take advantage of them, they are free. Cajun fries are good if you like the heat! Vegetarians, get a grilled cheese and add fresh tomatoes or grilled mushrooms, or any of the other veggie choices. They also offer a veggie sandwich that kicks but. Bon Appetite'

  • Ning T.

Like a few, I've read such great reviews and couldn't wait to try it. The burger was okay, it wasn't the best thing I ever ate. The fries were also okay... Maybe it's just not my type? I'll probably give them another try and update... since I did buy for take out? Portions on the fries, the regular is HUGE! So if you're alone get the regular size and the burger is 1 patty for the little size or whatever they call it, if it's just the name it's 2 patties. They also give free peanuts for those waiting... reminds me of Texas Road House in a way.

I'm surprised, I like 5 Guys and Fries To start with, I don't much eat hamburgers anymore. If I do, it's usually at a cookout when the chicken is overdone. But my husband loves all that stuff, hamburgers, hotdogs, chilli dogs, bacon anything, and he's been wanting to try this new place. We live just around the corner and got take out, so the food was hot. And the burgers wrapped in tinfoil helped. I decided to get a cheeseburger the way my Dad used to cook them many years ago with fried onion, mushroom, green pepper & A1 steak sauce. I added the lettuce and tomato just to be healthy. lol I don't know if it was the nostalgia, but man was it good. I figured I'd pay for it later, but no need for any post dinner antacid. Next time we'll share a regular fry instead of a large, and I'll get the small cheeseburger. If your in the mood for a really good, fast burger go try 5 Guys, you might be surprised.

My family and I have been here several times. Tonight we ordered to go and when we got home we realized we were missing one of the burgers we paid for. Usually I would get annoyed - but let it go. I decided to call and see if they would just credit the amount for what was missing back to my card. I was given the manager (Joe) to speak with and he offered us a gift card in the FULL amount of our order. I thanked him but reminded him we were only missing ONE item. He took my name and insisted on a credit of 30.00 so our next meal would be FREE! Hands down BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I've ever received!! Love this place even more now!

I am soooooooo in love. Yes, LOVE, I said it! I live 20 minutes away and you know in RI terms that is a wicked long drive! I will be driving back here for the pure yumminess that is 5 GUYS! I don't even know where to start! I really am in love! My cousin & I brought the kiddies up for a shopping trip to the "Christmas Tree shop plaza". We knew we needed to eat before the shopping started.... Greeted promptly, orders taken efficiently, and our food was ready before we could even get to a table. They have like 15 people behind the counter working, but everyone of them has a job & they DO IT! Drinks = free refills, so don't bother getting a large. Also, the large fries are LARGE! Like all 4 of us could have eaten from them. My kid 1 got a burger, kid 2 a grilled cheese. I did pig out & got the Cheese Burger, which has 2 patties.....mmm hmmmmm, pickles, mayo, ketchup & onions....DELICIOUS! Cousin knew better & got a little burger (1 patty) I am so very impressed with this place. I want to work there, I think I qualify for some of the guidelines of being a fanatic....and I can't stop talking about it! AND I can't wait to go back!!!! I love you 5 guys!

Mmmmm...burgers. This 5 Guys is great. It's located in strip mall and surrounded by several other shops and stores so it's easy to hit up this 5 Guys after grabbing supplies at other stores. The interior is pretty clean. Tables may need an extra wipe down before you sit but it's not unsanitary. The staff is very lively and enthusiastic which must be difficult after dealing with 50 customers an hour (don't quote me on that). The burgers are savory and tasty but I must say that the taste of the burgers has a lot to do with the great variety of toppings. In addition to the typical toppings, customers have a choice of relish, jalapenos, and green peppers. You can also opt to have the jalapenos and green peppers grilled which accentuates the taste. Another great option is that you can get your burger bun free if you want to cut out the carbs. Oh, the fries are really good as well and they give you a gigantic cup full of fries when you order a large. 'm a big fan!

Eh. I'm over food that looks and feels so ostentatiously bad for you. It's degrading to spend that much on French fries that don't hold a candle to even Wendy's...

    (2)
  • Stephanie K.

I must have had some unrealistic hopes for this chain after hearing all the great word-of-mouth reviews about their peanut oil cooked fries and "amazing" burgers. Our party had a burger, hot dog, grilled cheese, and fries.. I couldn't even eat the fries! The hot dog was small and nothing special & the burger - while good - wasn't much to rave about. Hey, maybe you'll have a better experience than I had.. it was pretty busy, so maybe that had something to do with the quality of the food.

When Im not an active vegetarian I eat FIVE GUYS. Yes I can only fit a kiddie burger in my tummy but still, it is delicious ! I like watching my food being made as well. Always a treat.

Burgers

Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Most popular condiments used in hamburgers in the United States are mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.

Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States. The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.
