I ordered take out from here because when I went around 8 o clock on a Saturday night, it was completely crowded. The atmosphere in there looks like a pizza place. Not very warm & inviting. With that said, ordered the buffalo chicken mac & cheese. It was honestly so delicious.. I wanted more of it when I was finished. Also tried the Mozambique fries & all I can say is WOW! Perfectly seasoned & it's such a great idea/concept. Overall very satisfying food. Will definitely return on a night that it's not so busy! 4 stars because the inside needs some major updating & the staff could be a little more attentive/friendlier

We came here based on the Yelp reviews. Eh. I obviously didn't have the same experience as everyone else. We chose to sit on the dining room side and it took a while for someone to acknowledge and seat us. This place could seriously use an update. It's got a dingy, slightly grimy feel. There are signs in bold red letters everywhere, including the hostess stand stating that your meal is made to order and that it could take up to 45 minutes to receive your food. Overkill and tacky. We started with the boneless buffalo wings and they were tasty. My husband had the salmon which he said was OK, but nothing special. I had the Mona Lisa pizza, which was delivered to me lukewarm. It was a good size and tasty. I took plenty of leftovers home. Service was very underwhelming. Our waitress would disappear for long stretches of time and my husband's glass sat empty for a real long time before he was asked if he wanted another drink. The other waitress that was working was much more visible, but she was doing a lot of apologizing. "Sorry your steak wasn't cooked to the right temp", "Oh, I didn't realize that was what you wanted, I will correct the bill". The table next to us had to get up and get their own silverware from an empty table. While it was OK overall, I was underwhelmed.

Best cooked food, fun choices and huge plates. I loveddd the fry tower, that's something you would see on the food networks dine ins and drives or one of those shows, really impressed. Would love to go back! Seriously, I was surprised. Crispy BBQ pork was also really good :)

Food was not good at all. The oil was old and the fries and fish were terrible and grease logged. The appetizer, loaded skins, was Mushy and tasted like they were frozen. The music is too loud but the selection of songs are awesome. I won't eat here again.

A few friends and I decided to have dinner here just yesterday 1/18/15. It was one of their birthdays and we thought we'd tried something new and head here. It was a Saturday night so it was pretty packed however the wait times were a little ridiculous. We were quoted 15 mins for a table and waited about 45 minuets for a table. Once seated our waitress came over to take our drink order and then returned about 15-20 minuets later and then left again and returned for our appetizer order about 15-20 minuets later. We didn't even have bread at this point. Our food took about 30-40 minuets to make as well. The waitress checked in with us once throughout the whole time. All this aside, the food was SPECTACULAR! It tasted fresh, delicious and so good! The provisions of the entree's are HUGE. It's like two dinners in one. We ended up taking home leftovers. The overall decor is a little hideous if you ask me. It isn't an upscale place since it's a sports bar but it does need some work in terms of lighting and overall appearance. They had live music which was nice. It wasn't too loud and it wasn't terrible either. I would visit this place again JUST for the food. It was seriously incredible.

Went to the Atlantic for a quick bite to eat Never been there before so expected a treat After 7, told 25 minutes So we went to the bar to have some spirits Only 2 bartenders with a large full bar They couldn't keep up though they ran near and far The seating people couldn't keep track With loose sheets of paper with names front and back We finally got seated just after 8 The wine was ok; the bread tasted great It was well after nine with no food in sight We decided it best to call it a night Canceled our meals; paid for the wine Hope to go back some other time.

Had an excellent pizza at the bar. Chose the blt pizza and it did not dissapoint. The crust was amazing and it paired well with an ice cold Foolproof on tap. Bar was lively and service was spot on. Only dissapointment we had wa they were out of stuffies. Will come back to try those.

Went there two days in a row because it was so good. Both waitresses both days were amazing. However the bartender sucked. Took me almost 35 min to get a glass of wine both nights. Not sure what happened on the second night but the first we were told it took so long because the bartender needed to open another bottle. Why that took 35 min I have no idea. Also on the first night my sister ordered Miller life draft which was flat, And ended up having to go bug the bartender for the drink. She Sat down with it and it was completely flat and undrinkable. Back to the bar She went for a bottle of Miller light. At the end when we got the bill she was charged for both beers even the flat one She brought back. As for the food, it was PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!! Went with a party of 6 the first night and our food was all brought out hot and delicious. Second night was just me and one other person and somehow the food was even better. Absolutely delicious. I will go back but staying away from the bar. Waitresses are great but the bartenders really seem to suck. I just wanted to add that I had to give it 4 stars because of the bartending service. If that was up to oar this place would have a 5 star from me hands down

Don't let the appearance of this place fool you- although it looks like a pizza place inside the food is actually excellent and the staff is friendly and attentive! We came here because nonni's was closed and there are few options in Tiverton. Such a pleasant surprise. I ordered a burger with fries and to my surprise it was a handmade patty on a toasted bun with the BEST sweet potato fries I've ever had in my entire life. Definitely will be returning.

We had the Asian calamari appetizer it is delicious. We had espresso martini pomegranate martini and peach sangria all were really good. Live band was good. Good mixed crowd. Food was really good had Mozambique scrod. Mesias is doing a great job. We had the teramisu for dessert that was very good also. Our waitress Kristina was excellent.

AMAZING ,AMAZING, AMAZING!!!!! The food is out of this world no matter what is ordered! Its a hit every time . the cooks are great. Owners are friendly attentive and very involved and the bartenders are superb!!! The only change I would make is to get rid of the ENTIRE wait staff and start from scratch with all brand new people on the floor. I will not go into details as to why but I will say if you want the best experience out of this restaurant/bar I would suggest letting the bartenders serve you.

One of my favorite bar/pub places in the East Bay. The food is well priced and also really good quality. The first time I came here, though, I got the buffalo chicken pasta. While I really liked the flavor of the chicken, I could barely finish the meal because it was too creamy and did not really taste like buffalo sauce at all. However the second time I came I got the chicken Marsala and it was on point, especially for a non-Italian restaurant! The waitresses here are attentive and quick, so definitely no qualms there. Also I avoid going on weekend evenings between 5-7 because of the long wait. Overall a pretty decent place!

Second visit here and it was just as good as the first time. This time we sat at the bar and split the BLT pizza. The crust was cooked to perfection and the draft beer was ice cold. The bartender was attentive and friendly while still serving about 24 more people. This place is a definite go to place for us.

Just down the street from us. We love the friendliness of the bar. The wait staff and food are great one of our favorite places

Really bad experience. We waited an hour and a half to be seated, then another hour and a half for food to arrive. Then when everyone else's food was brought to the table, we were told that they were out of the prime rib. I just can see why it took them an hour and a half to realize they couldn't fill all the orders at the table. They do get two stars because the Mozambique fries were good. But I will not go back. Also, the band was really bad.

Consistent with most of the reviews, the food was great but the service is lacking. While my husband waited around hoping for a refill on his soda, the 5 waitresses sat at a booth eating, on their phones and gabbing. Such a shame when the food was good and prices were reasonable..... Not sure if I will give them another try in the future :(

Huge menu...something for everyone. I saw some plates coming out and they were HUGE! I am a nachos girl so decided to try them and it was recommended by waitress. I have to say they were just average to meh. The appearance wAs nice but they were dry. Not enough cheese and the chili or refried beans was not tasty and bland. Regardless we ate hem but being a nacho expert this is a dish that needs to be revamped. On the other hand, the shrimp Mozambique was amazing! Need to add a Riesling to the wine by the glass menu. The service was great and definitely can't wait to try the fantastic dishes on the menu.

Our meal was average at best! I had the chicken Parmesan and the chicken was ok but the pasta was horrible. Our other meal was fish with rice and veggies. The fish was also ok but the rice was not very tasty. I would probably only return to try a pizza but would have to be very hungry and no other restaurants open. Sadly disappointed.

May 5, 2015 Went with my family. I had the Portuguese steak with rice and fries. The steak was thicker than most Portuguese steaks usually are but it was very good. Not chewy at all. My husband had a bacon cheese burger and said it was good. My boys had the cheese pizza and kids quesidilla. Both really liked their meals. Service was very good. We ate on the restaurant side. The wait for our food was not long at all. We waited 15 minutes max.

My boyfriend and I went there twice in a week after our first visit because we liked this place so much. We both ordered the Shrimp Mozambique on the first night and all I can say is WOW. It was the best Mozambique sauce we have ever had!! It has a lot of flavor and just the right amount of spice. We both finished our plates pretty quickly because it was so good. It came with two sides and the portions were large. We ordered the tiramisu and that was another WOW! It was so delicious and probably the best I've ever had as well. The second night we went we ordered off the dinner for two menu (they do it on Wed and Thurs). We ordered the Portuguese steak and it was another great dish. The steak was big and cooked the way each of us had asked. The sauce was very good and it was an overall great dish. We ordered the tiramisu again and it was just as delicious :) Both times we had great service and a very nice waitress. The chef and owner, Messias, is a great guy and he has done a fantastic job with this place. I would highly recommend it to everyone!!

When this place changed ownership, it was great. Good food, good service. It has gone way downhill. I came in on a Friday night recently around 6:00. Sat at the bar as usual and was basically ignored for 10 minutes. It was busy but there were 3 people working behind the bar. Finally ordered a beer. Then had to wait for them to come back and take my food order. Meanwhile, it is LOUD in there, the music is blaring. I had to lean over the bar so they could hear my order. The locals were out in full force. Guy sitting next to me is having a "conversation" with a dude across the bar. Yelling, f this, f you , f that. I'm not a prude, I swear like a sailor, but not in a public place. Bartender is oblivious. Left with a splitting headache. Went back on a Thursday night. Not as busy. Waited again to get a beer. Waited again for bartender to take food order. Ordered a cup of chowder and an entree. Waited again. Asked the bartender about the chowder, I'll check. Meanwhile entree comes out, no chowder. Then it comes out. I said cancel it, I'll eat the entree. Bartender gave me a free beer for forgetting the chowder. Not really her fault. She has to leave a barfull of people to get the chowder. Bottom line, the food is usually good, the service is not. I live a minute away, probably won't be coming back for a while.

I've only been here 3 times but every time is a good experience! I will agree with some on the nachos being just "ok" though. They leave me wanting more. I like sloppy meaty cheesy nachos with lots of jalapeños and guacamole! So they weren't the best in my opinion. Tonight they had a 2 for 29.99 deal, get two entrees and a bottle of wine or a pitcher of beer. My husband and I both got the azorean Portuguese steak, I got rice and hand cut french fries as my two sides, he got rice and round cut potato slices as his sides, he wasn't a fan of his potatoes but ate them anyway lol. Everything else was on point though. Service was fantastic! I forgot our servers name as I almost always do, but she was great. My daughter wanted chicken Mozambique, and even though they don't offer that on the children's menu they make it for her anyway which is really nice :) portions are pretty generous as well. I suggest everyone give it a try!! They have live entertainment a lot of the time as well! Full bar which is separate from the dining area so it's good to bring children and you won't be in a bar setting.

Tried this place after hearing mixed reviews, was not disappointed with my choice.Had the Mozambique fries and a chourico & chips pizza both where delicious. The fries where loaded with garlic , cheese , sauce and chourico bits, no fingers on these guys you need a fork and if your bearded like me,better have some napkins handy.the pizza was perfectly cooked and cut into square slices, toppled with fries and chourico. Couldn't finish this massive meal in one sitting, fortunately it reheated just as tasty . Will be going back to try other menu items

Saturday nights too busy for my liking so I go on Sunday. No wait and the food is fabulous! The tower of fries is unbelievably tasty, but if you do order it plan on taking at least half of your entrée home. I always get the mozambique chicken, it has the spicy mozambique sauce but it is creamy which takes out a bit of the kick but SOOOO wonderful. I haven't wanted to try anything else but have heard that the Portuguese steak pizza and fish dishes are also great.

I work in the city of Fall River myself, and after my Friday lunch shift at the restaurant I work in, I was hungry and willing to try some place new with my 2 girlfriends. I understand Friday nights are likely to be busy anywhere at 7pm and I don't mind to wait if my meal and experience will be worth it. Unfortunately I found neither to be worth my time for a second visit. Service: Not half bad, with understanding he wasn't making the drinks (which took about 10 minutes in between each order to receive. At one point having NO drink at all in front of me when my meal finally arrived.) We did sit at a high top bar table because the bar was full and the dining room looked packed as well. So our waiter did the best he could as far as getting our drinks to us when they were made. He was personable and polite, which honestly hospitality goes miles in the restaurant business!! Food: We ordered little necks for an appetizer, took about 35-40 minutes to get and were nothing to rave about. We had ordered our meals right after the appetizer because again I was coming from a long shift at work and I was very hungry. I asked for my side salad to come before my meal, which I did not receive until the other entrees hit the table. My friends ordered the chicken mozambique pizza WELL DONE and I ordered the baked stuffed haddock with broccoli. My very thin, barely there piece of fish was cold and the stuffing was mildly warm inside. My broccoli was also cold and had brown discolored florets in the mix. The pizza was wet, soggy, under cooked dough and no where close to done, never mind well done. At this time of disappointment, my glass was empty, along with my stomach and I had a plate of cold food in front of me with no one of concern in sight to speak to about it. The waiter came by, I told him I'd just take a box for the salad (as it was past the point of having it then) and another box for the rest of my cold dinner so I could try to eat it later when I re-heat it at home and try to enjoy it HOT! He was very apologetic and I understand he's the server, not the cook, so I can't blame him. He then offered all 3 of us cards for a free appetizer on out next visits....Nice try, but with that experience, none of us were willing to return. As it was already my other friends second try at this restaurant. Management: Very Poor. After all of the issues, I had to personally seek out someone to speak to. The woman that sat us at the table, whom which I believed was a host originally...turned out to be the "manager" I had asked to speak with. She had nothing to offer us other than trying to blame her own wait staff and say "That's just the kind of server he is." Really? Very, very unprofessional. Instead of owning the responsibility of the establishment, she threw him right under the bus. She again insisted we take the free app cards and give them another try. No, thank you. Our bill was $76.00 and I can't say $20.00 of it was worth it. Nothing was done by her to correct the issues we had, nor was she concerned about our experience. As I stood there and she seemed to not care less, I thought to myself....I wonder who owns this place?? Come to find out she's the owners wife. Unreal!! Hospitality is key in this business and she is lacking. Not sorry to say, I won't be back and neither will my friends.

I am trying to figure out how to add a star or two on to this. Without question, my Go To restaurant around here. The portuguese steak pizza is absolutely to die for and their mozambique fries? Holy mother of God.

New management, new cooks. It's been a few things over the last 10 years, probably why you couldn't find it. It's actually called Atlantic Sports Bar and Restaurant. Look for some great things to come up! If you haven't been since Messias took over the reins, you need to go back! One of the best portuguese steaks in the area, not the pounded thin versions (unless that's what you like, I'm not knocking it), but this one is a nice, thick, tender steak. Great round fries and fresh vegetables, not canned. The hamburger? For $9.99 you can put any topping on it! All of 'em. Some of 'em. You pick. And the burger meat is top quality, it's a heavy 8ozs on a nice bun. Portuguese steak PIZZA? Mmmmm. The Thai pizza will be back on the menu soon, and new specials, like dinner for two, are in the works. Full bar, fun bartenders, great food, and entertainment. It's a winner!

The fish and chips are excellent, no heavy, greasy batter! Fresh cole slaw is delicious, clearly homemade! The stuffed Quahogs are not on the menu, they are delicious - not overly bready!!! They do serve them w/ clam chowder ladeled on top, but you can ask the waitress not to do that. The stuffies are not on the menu so you have to ask if they have any. Chicken mozambique is delicious! If you order anything with fries (all homemade fries) - get the round ones!! Great Gem, great food!!
