My parents took me to Town Pizza when I was a kid and I'm still going there as an adult, so that's almost 25+ years now. They have really good grinders and Greek pizza. I wouldn't say anything there is spectacularly good, but they do what they do really well. Any restaurant that can survive for 40 years is doing something right!

We were visiting the crescent park Looff carousol (from around the corner) and a local recommended this place......told us they had excellent stuffed peppers. We decided to give it a try since we had 3 kids & 3 adults. Boy are we glad we did! Excellent antipasto.....with egg, meat & cheese, & peppercini's. Excellent creamy italian dressing, not thick, but delicious! Pizza was good, according to the 6 year old pizza conisoure. Hot turkey grinder was awesome. Overall I give it a two thumbs up! This is an excellent hidden gem!

I'm quickly becoming upset and disappointed with this favorite of mine. I refuse to eat in anymore because the servers are horrendous; slow slow slow and forgetful. Now the delivery has been wrong twice. And by wrong I mean you couldn't put any ketchup packets in like I asked, let alone the extra I asked for. Also, since when the hell does an Italian NOT come with oil and vinegar. One more chance and I'm out which sucks because they were amazing at one point.

Streak and Cheese is very good. French fries are good also. Usually call in and place an order for pick up. Food is always ready when picking up. Good Customer service at the counter. Plenty of parking.

A nice solid pizza place not the greatest food I've ever had but exactly what you would expect from a local pizza shop.

I've ordered the same sandwich for the last 25 years and it ALWAYS tastes the same: hot italian with hot peppers, no onion - I played for their little league softball team and will always support them. Ignore the goofballs who work in the kitchen.

This place is a local gem. Prices are right and the food doesn't disappoint. My favorites are the generously portioned grilled chicken Caesar salad and the gyro. They could improve their liquor selection.

First off, I've been coming here a few times a year for about 9 years now for a quick solution for dinner. Every time I come here, the service continually gets worse. They have this one server who is legit discourteous, rude, and would ignore us. Whenever we come here, we have a overwhelming sense of being unwelcome. Overall, the service is bad. On a somewhat brighter note, the food here isn't top notch but it's good enough to suffice hunger. If you do decide to order food from them, take it to go.

The food is very good. The portions are large. The price is right. Every single take out order is wrong. However they always make it right. Even if it takes two or three tries.

My last three visits have been very disappointing, something has changed here. The once great hot tuna grinder now has such a small amount of tuna that it's hard to tell if it's tuna or a mayo spread. I won't be back anytime soon.

I used to get Pizza here in the mid 70's. In my mind, it had the best pizza ever. It was a little greasy and the crust was delicious. While visiting New England for a family event, I went out of my way and had lunch there with my daughter last Monday. The pizza was terrible. I could tell the crust was not fresh. Sure enough, on my way to the bathroom, I saw about 10 shrink wrapped pizzas sitting in the refrigerator. I was deeply disappointed.

Revised: I have been in the area now for 2 years. My first review is below. I have been back a couple times with friends. The food is better then my first experience, so maybe I just caught them on an off night. I had a tomato, garlic, and spinach pizza. It was good. I have also tried an Italian grinder and really liked it. The bread was toasted and fresh. I have had better of both, but the place is family friendly, convenient, and the food is better than my first experience. I have changed my rating from 1 star to 3. First review: I moved to Riverside recently and was looking for a local pizza place instead of the regular chains. I should have stuck with Dominos. I ordered a large sausage and mushroom and an order of stuffed mushrooms. First the stuffed mushrooms: the good. They were hot, they were a good size. The bad, everything else. The stuffing had almost no flavor and was like some kind of dough. Not bread crumbs, no seasoning. Really bland and bad. I ate one and threw the rest out. The pizza: The good, price. The bad, everything else. They really should charge a couple dollars more and make a better pie. The crust was Ok, just not my style. Too bready for me. Very little sauce, could not taste what was there. Mushrooms from a can. The sausage had little flavor. It was a really poor effort. They have an extensive menu so I cannot comment on the grinders or anything else. The previous reviewer seemed to like them. I'm really not a picky eater, but I at least want something decent. This wasn't it in my book. I won't be back.

My husband and I won a Town Pizza gift card so we decided to try it out. Honestly, we probably won't go back for sit-down service again. We walked in and nobody greeted us or anything. Probably 3 servers saw us walk in and nothing. We weren't sure if it was "seat yourself" so we interrupted a server doing side work to ask. When we finally got a server, she wouldn't smile. We ordered onion rings, which tasted fine but I felt like I was bothering the server asking for ketchup. We ordered our meals: I got spaghetti and meatballs and asked if it came with anything, and apparently it comes with buttered toast (not even with garlic...weird); my husband got the beef manicotti on special that came with a salad. We got our meals and the server walked off without asking if we needed anything else. Spaghetti and meatballs is hard to mess up, and I did like the meatballs. The beef manicotti wasn't my cup of tea. I was definitely glad I didn't order that. It kept falling apart as my husband tried eating it, but he cleaned his plate nonetheless. Reluctantly he asked for his salad from the server (again, it was like we were bothering her). And finally she asked if I'd like a box so I said yes (the portion was huge so lunch for the next day) and I asked her for the toast if possible. She hadn't even fired that so I had to wait a little. She then bagged up my meal out back, brought it over, and ran off quickly. We later got home and realized she had made a mess of marinara sauce all on the outside of the box and that's why. We might try taking out a pizza some other time, but definitely not coming in to sit again.

I am picky about pizza, and having grown up in the North Shore (MA) I tend to like greek style pizza over all others. Town pizza is a good option for that in the land of heavy Italian style pizza and pizza strips. The service is friendly enough, I d find that they are somewhat inconsistent which is why I took off a star.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
