What a Deal Another gem on Chalkstone Ave. Rincon is a typical Latino market that has a small kitchen in the back. It's someone's mom or grandmother cooking for you in the back. These are usually the best places. The place looks ruined down, but don't let it detract you. This place is good. The order was a typical carne asarda platter with a salad rice refried beans. I have to tell you it was delicious and for 9 bucks it could feed two, but I found myself eating the entire plate. Top it off with a nice passion fruit fresh juice and this was a great meal. If your in the mood for a home cooked meal for a great price give this joint a try. Thanks

The BEST Pupusas I have had outside Central America. For just a few dollars you can sit down and eat a couple of Pupusas, or a Pupusa and a Tamal and have a satisfying lunch. I always come here with my mom for lunch and it is one of our favorite spots.

My aunt sells pupusas in NYC after moving here from selling pupusas in El Salvador so I have to admit I am a pupusa snob. However these pupusas are definitely some of the best in RI. Best of all their curtido and salsa really round the pupusas out. You should try the orchata too its delicious. Like a cinnamon milk kind of thing idk how to explain but tasty.

Authentic, family owned. Everything I have ever ordered was great. Very casual and have always had the best service. Cant beat the papusas or the fact that a meal for two has never gone over $30 even while splurging on food and a tip. Give this place a try.

I'm still on the hunt for good authentic Mexican in Providence, but until then, I'll make do with good authentic Salvadoran. All the usual suspects here: pupusas with the typical authentic fillings, baked and fried plantains, various different bean dishes, etc. There is very little in the way of actual vegetables on the menu, and the salad that we ordered was a disappointment of tasteless iceberg and watery tomatoes. But then there's the horchata. I don't know what they do with it, but it's a family recipe, made totally from scratch by the owner's mother. I know it does contain cocoa, which is why it's slightly darker in color than your typical horchata. That makes the place worth visiting all by itself.

The pupusas are amazing and 100% authentic. Also tried a corn tamale with cream which was equally delicious. Cheap and good when you are craving pupusas.
