This is the restaurant inside the Radisson Providence Harbor. This place basically has no competition because the closest restaurants are difficult enough to get to that convenience will win out 9 times out of 10. The food here consists of pastas, sandwiches, and burgers. There are steaks and seafood listed on the menu, but I don't know how much i would trust these things here. This is essentially a one cook one server operation, so take that into consideration before you order. I figure a lot of things like salads are pre-made. I went with the pasta primavera with tomato sauce. I had a choice between cream sauce and tomato sauce. Since I had something important to do the next day, I went with what I felt to be the safer option. The dish was tomato sauce, zucchini, asparagus, on top of pasta. The sauce was really oily and the pasta slightly undercooked. The dish came with a salad which was ok. Prices are on the ludicrous side. Almost 20 bucks for a pasta dish and salad. Come on...really? What a scam. The service was pretty good and a lively discussion about football was had. Since I didn't get food poisoning, I'm holding off on giving one star.

It's only one star because you can't give zero. We probably wouldn't have eaten here given the previous Yelp reviews,but we were tired and soaked so didn't want to leave the hotel. Service was slow. Inspite of getting there basically as they opened they were out of clamp chowder, the one dish they have a decent review of on Yelp. Bread served, including garlic bread with the pasta was served cold. Steak was charred and slightly over cooked with little flavor beyond the char. Potatoes served with the steak were flavorless. Pasta sauce was supposed to be plum tomato based but tasted strongly of sun dried tomatoes. Vegetables were buried under the pasta rather than on the side. The Caesar salad was the only dish that was well made.

Early reviews were right about this place. There is only 1 server who doubles as bar tender. Server not only serves those who come in to the restaurant bug guests on the floor. I came in for a late dinner just because it was convenient and server has to go up to the floors. I decided to place my own order with the cook and when I was gone, the server is now the bar tender so he did not get me the bill. I had to ask front desk staff who called the manager to help out. On a plus side, the calamari was good. Batter was light and very low sodium. Some will say it needs salt but that's easily remedied. Be informed when you decide to eat here.

The Harbor Grille has excellent New England Clam chowder. Otherwise the dinner and breakfast are nothing to write home about. The cooks and wait staff are cordial and friendly. The only reason to eat here would be out of mere convenience though the food is over priced (IMO) for what it is.

Overpriced with bad service. Only reason to go here would be because you are staying here and don't feel like leaveing the hotel. Unfortunately they didn't change the restaurant after it change from a Radisson to a Wyndham Garden.
