Consistent food every time. Gen Tso's Chicken, Fried Dumplings and Wonton are my favorites. I generally have the steamed white rice but the fried rice is not too greasy. Plenty of food for the money I would give it a fourth star if their spicy dishes were spicier.

I can't even justify one star. I don't know how anyone could say that this place has good food. When I first moved to Pawtucket I ordered food from this place because they deliver and are right around the corner from my home. Well, needless to say I could not even eat the food I ordered. My husband and I literally threw it in the garbage. This place has the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. Simply awful!

I have been a fan of Mei King for a few years now. What I have ordered has been consistently delicious. So now, I will start my review. On Mother's Day, I ordered two chicken chow mein combination plates, two extra egg rolls, and beef teriyaki sticks. All that just under $30. I had my food delivered. The delivery was on time. Now, you must be asking how was it? The food was delicious. Their combination plates could feed a small army. Me and my mom had enough left over for another meal, now that is a bargain!! The chow mein was piping hot and not watery like another place was. Their pork fried rice was great. Their egg rolls were awesome, not mostly veggies and very little meat. These guys had a good balance of meat and veggies. Their beef teriyaki sticks were good. To be honest, how can you mess them up? On second thought, what I don't know, doesn't bother me. Overall, Mei King is a very good Chinese restaurant in Pawtucket. If going to a ball game, check it out. Or if anyone has a hankering for Chinese, go there!! You won't be disappointed!!

We ordered from here tonight for our "takeout night treat", it was a nightmare. First it was an hour from order to delivery (I can understand this as it is a Friday but beware it takes a while and I'm right around the corner.) I ordered the house Pad tai (House = shrimp, pork, chicken and ham) my fiancé ordered a combo plate which was supposed to be Beef Chow Mein, pork fried rice and an egg roll ($29.00) but Beef Chop Suey came instead (big difference seeing he spent 10 minutes picking out the vegetables he hated), and Crab Rangoon's. In addition to my fiancé getting the wrong meal and only 3 oz of beef, my Pad tai was a HUGE disappointment. It was an odd ratio of 1 strip of chicken, 4 strips of pork, 3 baby shrimp and what looked like pieces of ham and/or hot dog pieces, %5 noodle and %90 sprouts, now I know it wasn't hot dog, and by tasting it well it all tasted the same plus an odd consistency of crunchy sprouts (really needed that lime). We try to find the bright side and look towards the Egg Roll and Crab Rangoon's, well....the crab Rangoon's were either under cooked or empty...yup I said it empty, seemed the filling was there at one time but poof gone no filling...the egg roll was ok, big chunks of chewy celery with small pieces of meat, then on the end of the egg roll which in a perfect world would be light crunchy, golden not here this was hard and even edible. I will say I called to let them know of the issue and the owner, being warned how upset I was, came to the phone to hear me out, and even offered to send new food but by the time it would arrive we were looking at 10pm. So that wasn't going to work for us... We are really disappointed. I'd say take pass if your looking for a place for delivery.

This place is apparently under new ownership because the food is not as good as it was before. I look forward to their moo shi chicken but after this last time, never again. It had a very burnt taste to it and the cabbage was to hard to chew. The egg rolls were over cooked and fell apart too easily. I guess I will have to find a new place for Chinese food.

The sticky chicken wings are fantastic. The combination plate gives enough to make two meals at a very reasonable price. Overall the quality and quantity of food is excellent! I would definitely recommend trying!

I didn't even want to add a star for this restaurant. My husband and I live down the street from this place and the parking lot always seems decently filled. So we ordered our food, we order the lo mein and a few other things, but the lo mein was the only thing we tasted. It was the worse food I had ever put in to my mouth and normally we would have just thrown it out but it was so bad we had to let them know. My husband decided to bring back the food and let them know that it was horrible, they apologized and offered to make something else but I wouldn't want to eat anything else that came out of their kitchen. Maybe the parking lot is so filled because everyone goes to their bar because you'd have to be bombed to like their food.

I didn't even want to give this place a star. It was absolutely the worst food I've ever had in my LIFE. I immediately threw it in the trash after trying it. Please think twice about this place and go somewhere else. Completely inedible.

Okay, I really have to warn everyone about this place. I was sick at home so I decided to get a quick chinese take out. I found this place on Yelp and I drove by a few times. I ordered hot and sour soup and some crab rangoons. I don't understand why they don't want to spend any time pre-made hot and sour soup. I'm sure a lot of people order this everyday. Instead what I got was clearly an egg drop soup that has been added spice (tons of black pepper) and some vinegar to make it sour. I couldn't even eat it. It was way too sour. The crab rangoons were dry and lack of cream cheese. (kinda on the cheap side). My expectation were low since it is a quick take out place, but this place is way below my expectation. Please stay away from this place.

Love the place. Super nice staff, good service, and yummy Chinese food. Love the veggie egg foo yung and the Buddhist Delight (glass noodles w/tofu and veggies in Cantonese-style clear sauce). Just reliable Chinese-American food in a nice, comfy, casual setting.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
