We stopped there to have some apps only and it was the worst experience. He had the Mediterranean Platter and after having that I was surprised to see that someone can even make such a awful hummus. We also ordered the nachos they were fine good enough for us to fulfill our hunger.

Tickets checks the box on the dining category known as food. As pure fuel to maintain normal body function, Tickets meals provide adequate sustenance. I highly recommend it to all people with mouths. Service with a smile, and the calamari are authentic food as well.

Great service and really good food! I had the potato skins and an IPA and really enjoyed the view from the top bar. There was no wait being seated and there was a pretty good selection of beers. We'll be back here for sure!

Calling it a sports bar does it no justice. Lots of tds upstairs for the sports bar feel but the food is far better. Scallops on risotto was amazing. Seared tuna was a little over done which is the only thing that's keeping it from being 5 stars. Great drinks. Really good staff. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I have to admit, I have only had one kind of experience at Tickets - Sunday's during football season. The plus side: tons of tv's with games on. You will never be disappointed and will find your team on a screen somewhere. Also, the food is reasonably priced. The down side: the understaff the place for the kind of rush they get on those Sundays. Also, the food is only so-so. In the end, go for the peace of mind that your team will be on, just don't expect fast service or super food. I've had a lot of things off the menu and some were slightly better than average while most were just average or slightly under.

My friends and I came to this place. We waited half hours and no waiter came to serve us and wait another 15minutes for the water.

We started our Newport trip with a nice dinner (upstairs). Great service, very good food and a nice view. On a wednesday night it wasn't too busy and thus we took our time and a drink before ordering. Definitely to be recommended.

I came in here to watch the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference finals and the upstairs was packed! There are lots of comfortable sofas to watch the game and pool tables as well. Since that was packed, I was forced downstairs, which has more of a dining room feel to it, and TVs so you can still enjoy the game. The bar area is large, sitting in front of the kitchen window so you can see everything going on inside. The beer selection was limited and they do have specials on pitchers of beer. My friend and I shared a sampler appetizer and for bar food, it was really good. The stuffed potatoes are amazing! They also offer a vegetarian menu and gluten free menu as well.

Service was terrible. Seated right away. No server even came by for 15m. Drinks (water and diet coke took another ten).food another 30m. Food was ok. Just not worth the wait

If I could give negative stars... I would... 6 of us came in mid afternoon to a non busy restaurant with simple burgers and sandwiches orders... and an hour and 30 min later the food showed up and the orders weren't even right. We asked 6 times where the food was... and the waitress kept saying very shortly and not even a manager showed up. I would never eat here or recommend this. The food is nothing fancy.. not worth the trouble....

Their pineapple pizza is amazing!!!!!The salads are disgusting though. The dressing is very watery and not very flavorful. Their diet coke tastes like water and has no bubbles. Would come again just for the awesome pizza and the seating outside.

Went for breakfast this morning. I'm hoping they were understaffed. Told it was a 20-25 minute wait and they made sure even with a completely open bar which we and several customers after us would have been pleased to occupy. The hostess spent her down time texting rather than helping wait staff. Waitress Kirsten was great and food fine. Not rely worth a long wait.

Great town bar! Friendly bartenders and awesome manager. East West wings are delicious and a must. The restaurant/bar area is new, clean and spacious. Definitely a great place to watch sports. Prime location.

I ended up eating there twice in one day because I was staying nearby. The pizza was pretty good, and the prime rib was excellent! As another review said, the pizza was almost the same price as the prime rib, go figure! The service I received both at lunch and dinner was stellar!

This place is RIDICULOUS. I went in here with friends to watch a hockey game and have some drinks. The waiter came over, took our orders, and asked for our Ids. I gave him mine (which is a "under 21 Mass ID, however it doesn't expire until 2017 AND it shows my birthday AND it even shows the "under 21 until date). He refused to give me my drink saying that they cannot expect an ID with the words "under 21" on it. WHAT?!?? This ID is not expired, he saw my birthday...just because it has the text under 21? Makes no sense. I've never had anyone tell me that before. It's a perfectly good license. I'm not going to spend 50 dollars just to get a horizontal on when my ID isn't expired. I'll never go back here just because that rule is absolutely absurd and makes zero sense. What difference does it make it my license says if it's not expired and clearly shows my birthday?

We sat upstairs in the sports bar section... Waitress was awful. Drinks took way too long to get, we ordered an appetizer and said we would order a meal after we started eating.... Never got checked on by the waitress or our drinks refilled. Food was ok when we finally got it... Wouldn't go back, nor would I recommend anyone to go either. Spend your money somewhere else in this beautiful area!

It was late night and one of the only places we could find that would serve us food (upstairs in the bar). Good thing is that the apps are 1/2 off from 9-11pm. We ordered two apps and a salad. The salad came out first and was absolutely drowning in dressing, a few microscopic onions and a handful of sliced hard boiled eggs slapped onto some fresh spinach. Not appetizing at all. The fried calamari was tender and not greasy; I would have preferred if the sauce was on the side, but since it was poured all over, I was glad that it was tasty. The ahi tuna was healthy portion; too chewy if I paid full price.

The food was literally the worst. My table ordered the fried cheese and quesadilla as apps and I ordered the cheese pizza. Each item had no taste what's so ever. There was no flavor. It was disgusting. I would rather eat at dennys. The soda isn't a good brand like coke or Pepsi it was also terrible. Would not recommend this place at all. The only positive was the location and the server was really nice.

Checked in at the Carriage House Inn and the lady who set us up was super helpful even mentioning that this restaurant is partially owned by them so we could get a discount. My husband and I were ready to have lunch so we settled on the recommendation. This restaurant is close to Easton Beach which was a plus and on Ocean Drive. The food was kinda blah. Pub fare, but nothing memorable except the sweet potato fries. The fries were pretty much the only thing I liked. We tried their appetizer sampler which included a sample of fried foods that was over battered and over fried. I noticed on the sign it said half priced apps, but the waiter never mentioned it and I forgot about it because we were only thinking about the 10% discount from the hotel. It just didn't really have anything that stood out.

Was in Rhode Island for 6 weeks and ate here probably 6 times. Always had good food, good service, and good prices. Never disappointed. Half off wings on Monday and Tuesday is a steal and the best I've had in Rhode Island. Only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the service upstairs is a little suspect. You don't get the same great customer service treatment upstairs than you do downstairs and it is literally night and day.

Tickets is great for everything that you need it to be. When at 1st beach, and you can't find a table outside at ABC, just walk across the street and get seated quickly... you can still sit outdoors or cool off in the AC inside. There typically won't be that much of a wait. It also is great for sports games.. they have really good wings deals on Monday nights. As I said, it is great for what you need it to be... a sports or beach bar. If you have any other expectations, than you may be disappointed. I have eaten their a few times, and tried the pizza, mac and cheese, and chicken fingers. All were delicious.

The atmosphere is fancy, along with their plates and food choices. Their wine list is limited, but hey, it's a bar. The staff are friendly and the food was amazing. For vegetarians, there aren't too many options other than their pizza, salads, pasta, and a couple wraps, but nonetheless, they had me foodgasming with every bite. Their pizzas have amazing sauces and toppings too. Went here two nights in a row and I would have gone three, but it's a little pricey.

Scott Nez, great personable bartender. He'll give you great drink suggestions and can be your therapist as well, that's a bartender. Foods solid, ahi tuna great dish, daily specials there as well. TV couches table bars, kinda make your own environment

I planned a surprise trip to Newport for my husbands 30th Birthday! I didn't let him know a single thing including the fact that on night number 2 many family and friends would be gathered at a restaurant that I was taking him on a birthday date to. Not being super familiar with Newport I spent weeks on calling restaurants and reading reviews to find a location that would accommodate about 30 guests at 7 PM on a Friday night, with decent prices and let us order off of the menu. Stumbled upon this gem!!! Tickets Bar and Grill manager Patty called me to say we were just going to wing it and make it work! They did above and beyond that!! Our party turned into about 45 people coming and going and they accommodated us all! Even better, by the end of the night the top floor turned into our own private party as other guests cleared out! The environment couldn't have been better!! Jukebox, pool table, large bar, couches, punching machine (this must have collected over $150 from how much this thing got used!). The service was phenomenal!! Being that it was open seating in the upper level our guests were spread on about 10 tables all in the same section. The dinner for all of these tables, about 30 people came out to every table in less than 5 minutes from each other so that all guests were eating at the same time and no one waiting. The food was bar and grill food. Some of the foods we will give A+ to: East west chicken Sweet potato fries Regular fries Burgers Pizza Thank you so much Patty and team!! Our guests were very impressed, had beyond fun and my husband is still in shock that I pulled off such a surprise without once spilling the beans lol Sincerely, Keri and Josh Mateus

Loved it! We had the ahi tuna and the Mediterranean sampler. If I lived closer I would be a regular. The service exceeded our expectations as well.

Poor service and iffy food safety.... We stopped in for lunch the other day, and sat outside. And then waited a long time while the waiter (who I think might have been new?) waiting on other tables, but didn't so much as come over to offer us water. I had to go inside and ask whether our table had been assigned a server before he came out to take our order. To his credit, he did apologize profusely. My friend and I both got nachos. And then proceeded to have digestive distress-- beginning about a half an hour later and lasting until the next day. I'm not sure what was wrong with those nachos, but we were both sick

Stopped in for a bite before leaving the Newport area. We were immediately greeted by a cheery waitress who got our drink order. The drinks were not so good, but not terrible. We then ordered some basic dishes. These took forever to come out of the kitchen, and the waitress basically avoided us during the wait. The food was virtually inedible and was definitely not fresh. Both dishes were luke warm and dried out. So bad I couldn't finish my meal. Go somewhere else for food. If you just want to sit and have a beer, the place is fine.

Went to watch the Seahawks game last night, after the Pats fans had left for the night. The service was pretty good, looked like they only had one or two people on upstairs. The was good but way too expensive ($15 for the greek pizza, which was just cheese and sundries tomatoes). Get the "make your own" option, it's cheaper. Beer prices are reasonable, a ton of tv's, nachos at the table next to us looked awesome. I really like the couches and comfy chairs in the corners. Half-price apps from 9-11 is a great deal, I got the tuna. Standard, but good. Head down to catch your team, even if they're from the far corner of the country!

I've been here a few times and everything has always been great. Four of us went yesterday after a relaxing day on the cliff walk. We were hungover and ready for bloody Mary's. The wait was about 20 minutes due to a party upstairs. No problem. We waited even though there were multiple tables open downstairs-- they looked a bit short staffed. We received our bloody Mary's and they were delicious. Our server asked if we were in a hurry to order seeing as we had waited a long time--very nice--but we were in no hurry. Thank god we weren't because the large party upstairs backed everything up to an extreme. My friends ordered two clam chowders that took 45 minutes to come out. Luckily our food came out shortly after. Everything was delicious and hot. Our server thanked us for our patience and informed us we were the only table who hadn't cussed her out all day lol. People were straight up yelling. Thankfully, we are understanding people and don't care, but the wait was a bit ridiculous. Things happen, though. People call out and I understand that may have been an issue. The polar plunge was also going on and it was New Year's Day. This won't stop me from returning, though. The food is awesome, service is great and prices to match!

Television breeds idleness. There are many things I don't own but I don't feel compelled to tell you about it, but when your sweetie is a deep-rooted Kansas Jayhawks fan and you don't own a television, it sure can put a damper on the spirit during the college basketball season. Missing those games doesn't bother him nearly as much as it once did, but he keeps threatening to buy one for here. I used to rent out my house for weekends when I was traveling back to PA and I was amazed by the folks who wouldn't rent it because of not having a television. Who watches TV while on holiday? Thank goodness for T I C K E T S and their telly; they have many. Located near First Beach, you could easily enjoy an afternoon at the ocean and then walk over to Tickets for an ice cold beer, delicious pizza and catch the latest sporting event without leaving your expensive parking spot, if you want to go back to the shore, otherwise there is ample parking. You could also start your day here by having a delicious breakfast topped off with a fresh Mimosa (it's summer, you deserve it). Tickets will often view sporting events you won't get on your home television, such as European soccer and lacrosse. Service can be dicey on the island, the hired help comes and goes as quickly as the precious summer season but I have never been disappointed. There are lots of big comfortable chairs in a large section of the dining room with huge windows overlooking the ocean; perfect if you're not down with sports and you are easily enthralled and taken away by the peaceful blue sea while your friends are cheering on their favorite team. I am typically on my feet with the exhilarated fans during a Jayhawks game or during the UEFA championships.

We needed a place for a quick inexpensive lunch and settled on Tickets because of location. I was worried it might be a "heat up frozen food" kinda place but I was happily wrong! We sat upstairs with a wonderful view of the water past the parking lot for ABC across the street. The music was a little loud and the tv was blaring but they nicely turned it down. I quizzed the waiter, who was super nice, and settled on some chicken taquitos I think. My fiance ordered chicken salad which he liked. I was pleasantly surprised by my order. The chicken was seasoned well and freshly prepared. I also loved the guacamole and salsa sides. It was so hearty that I only ate half my order (that's what fiances are for!). We very much enjoyed our food and ambiance.

Lots of tvs with lots of different fans! I wanted to watch the Texans game and the Seahawks game but that's hard to do in Patriots land. Luckily Tickets has plenty of TVs! It's also fun because there were a ton of fans with different jerseys on representing different teams. A nice variety from across the country. The downstairs was a little rundown but you go upstairs and its a nice bar with beautiful HD TVs. They have tables, lounge chairs, even couches. If you live or travel to Newport its a laid back comfy spot to catch a game.

My boyfriend and I have been going here for brunch since we moved to Rhode Island a few years ago and we love it. It can get busy during the summers, but their breakfast is delicious and inexpensive and they are never as packed as Atlantic Grille down the road. Their shrimp pesto pizza is also amazing...and they deliver!

This is my family's favorite go-to spot in Middletown. Our annual trip to Rhode Island isn't complete without a meal at Tickets! Always great service, good food, and location. Sit outside and watch the cars and people go by while ocean breezes blow past. Love this place.

This might be the worst food I have ever consumed in my life. I would not recommend this place to anyone. For starters we ordered fried cheese and chicken quesadillas. The dipping sauce was completely bland and the quesadilla had a terrible after taste. The after taste taking one whatever equipment it had been cooked on and not cleaned prior. For my main course, I order bbq chicken pizza. The chicken tasted like rubber and old. For such a great location, the food was terrible. Additionally, the restaurant did not have a pleasant smell. I just hope I don't get food poisoning and pay for it tonight.

I love the menu here. There is a mixture of 'from the sea', and 'from the land' items, and even some vegetarian options. I had the fish and chips. It was two meals worth of food, perfectly cooked and perfectly breaded, had homemade-tasting cole slaw and tartar sauce, and was just exactly what I was hoping it would be. My friends had the seafood reuben, regular reuben, and a personal pizza. They all seemed very happy with their meals. I have to say that the oysters weren't up my alley, but I was glad I tried one, just to see what the fuss was about. Speaking of the fuss, the water view from this restaurant is fantastic. Knocking off one star for the bathroom door not locking, but the rest was very good!

We ate dinner here at the upstairs bar on 10/15. It wasn't too busy when we got there. When we sat down we were the 11th & 12th people at the bar. After being ignored by the bartender for just short of 10 minutes, he finally found time to see if we wanted anything to drink. 5 minutes later, we got our drinks and some menus. The place is really nice. Big bar, TVs everywhere, great view of the ocean. We decided what to eat, stacked our menus on the bar and watched him walk back and forth past us for 19 minutes before yelling at him that we were ready. We skipped ordering apps since ordering took so long. The food was good. Not great, but better than we expected. We would have been happy to tell him as much had he ever checked on us. We both finished our drinks and would have had another, but again never got the chance. We put a credit card out on the bar and waited almost 10 minutes for him to notice. This is when he picked up our plates and asked if everything was all right and would we like another drink. We declined, aggravated. This experience was horrible. Aside from the convenience of being directly across from our hotel and the food being half way decent, nothing about our experience makes me want to go back. Bartender spent WAY too much time chatting up his friends and didn't give a damn about anyone else. I'd give the place 3 1/2 stars because it was nice and under better circumstances i bet would have been really fun. My man behind the bar last night killed it, and not in a good way.

I've stopped at Tickets a few times while in Newport for business. Every time I go to the upstairs bar because it has a nice view out to the ocean, is generally less crowded and has a bunch of televisions. The bartenders are always willing to flip over to different games to satisfy their customers. Including switching to the Yankees and Rangers on side by side TV's for me on a recent trip. During the "off" months Ticket's runs some great specials, including 25 cent wings and buy 1 get 1 pizza deals. The wings are pretty good, with a nice size and a flavorful sauce. The hot could have more heat for my tastes, however they're good overall. The different sandwiches, burgers, etc. I have gotten there have all been good. The beer selection on tap is ok. The prices are a little high, so I'd recommend sticking to the specials as long as it's palatable for you. So if you're looking for a nice sports bar near the beach but away from the crowds in Newport, Tickets is the place to go.

Went to Tickets after a long day in Newport and it was a perfect low-key night out.. once they dimmed the lights. We were staying at the hotel across the street that provided us with a 10% discount so that was a plus as well. We had the best server, he was extremely hospitable and took great care of us! We enjoyed the perfect combination of East West wings (a combination of bbq & terryaki); the wood-grilled hawaiin pizza, and a greek salad. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing, low-key, comfort food kind of night out!

I had the most lovely lunch at Tickets. Well, maybe 'lovely' isn't the right word; let's go with freakin' delicious. I went for it and had the Portuguese-style steamed local little necks with chorizo. Ummmm... yeah. DELICIOUS. On that plate of little necks and chorizo was a broth with onions, garlic, tomatoes, and a blend of spices that was so good, I wanted to pick it up and drink it down. However, I thought better of it, and politely dipped the lightly-grilled, crusty, fresh bread that accompanied my plate of goodies. I like Tickets because it's off the beaten path - out of the way of the downtown Thames St madness, this is a place where locals go. It's right across from Flo's, has a decent patio for dining al fresco, and the service was friendly, if a little pokey. I would totally come back to Tickets. I have a feeling I'll dream of that broth, those beautiful, fresh little necks and that awesome chorizo. Yum!

Ticket's is a dump. Avoid at all costs!!!!Showed up w two kids for dinner at 7pm. At 8:15 no food. Waiter avoided the table bc he couldn't get good from kitchen. Food is low quality and they clearly can't handle a dinner crowd. Restaurant wasn't even busy. If you want to enjoy Newport I HIGHLY suggest you go anywhere other than Tickets. Terrible service, weak food, no drink orders. Absolute worst place in RI.

Another breakfast trip here with a group. Still a good, comfortable place with a lot of room in the morning hours. I've never seen a packed house from the time they open until late morning. The prices seemed to have decreased from last time. Breakfast wrap ($5.50) and Eggs Benedict ($7) received good marks. All breakfast dishes come with toast and potatoes. If you come during lunch/dinner, try to get upstairs. Better view of the ocean, which is just across the street.

This is a 3 1/2 star place for me. I had scallops here once and they were yummy. I don't care for their hummus or pizza, but their sweet potato fries are really good! The best deal is the childrens pizza. It's $3.99 but it is a full size pizza! We usually get one for each kid and they only eat one and we bring the other one home for lunches. The upstairs area is pretty fun and they have my go to drink, cider, so I am happy!

Admittedly we set out looking for a different restaurant but it was closed and we happened upon Tickets. I think that it has a bit of an image crisis. It's not sure if it wants to be a bistro or a sports bar. I ordered the clam strip platter which featured Fried Clam strips, fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce. The Clams were great, very tender - not rubbery at all. My friends ordered a Portuguese dish that featured clams and sausage in a spicy red sauce. The spice and sausage were great however the clams seemed a bit dry for our liking. Overall the meal was good and well worth the money. I have two more meals worth of fried clams in the fridge.

GREAT FOR BREAKFAST... I would imagine b/c of its location it is great for after the beach and evenings.

We had breakfast here - everything was fresh and the fried potatoes weren't too dry or too greasy. The service was fast and efficient and the menu offered several different items. Good place. Great view of the ocean too.

My bf and I went out for lunch a couple of weeks ago. We originally planned on going to the Atlantic grille (next door) but it was clearly packed with a full parking lot and we didn't want to wait long because we were starving. We decided to try this place and were surprised to see a completely empty restaurant. The service was decent and the waitress was nice. I ordered a cup of hot coffee and it tasted like hot water. I ordered the fish tacos and was really disappointed. Two fist sized tacos we're brought out to me containing really dry (not fresh) tasting fish, a little bit of lettuce, and a gooey syrupy Mango salsa which tasted very artificial. It is nice and clean inside though. But i would have rather waited next door for a much better meal.

This place use to be a sad college sports bar that was only worth going to on "Dollar Draft Day"--that was in 2001 Now almost 10 years later, this place has completely done a 180! The decore is simple and chic with leather stitched walls that are remind you of a volleyball in a bank in on Wall street. The seats, booths, are very relaxing and comfortable and give great views of the ocean sunset over the cliffwalk as well as the LCD TV on the wall in mute playing the College best games. -The food was cheap, the portions were huge, and the flavor was plentiful. Very kid friendly. The son has the chicken and fries--GONE! The wife has the clams--GONE! The daughter had the med pasta--GONE! I had a large pizza (hand tossed before my eyes from the kitchen and put in a woodfire no less)--Almost gone! HEY it was big! What made the evening was the waitress. She was UBER friendly and very welcoming and attentive. She also made the best black and tans! Perfect light and dark split and the right amount of head. I will be back. NIce job, Ticket! Well done. You have a talented kitchen staff and great waitresses!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE. DO NOT go there! The staff is rude, slow and makes excuses for the worst service EVER! The food... they didnt cook it the way we ordered it.. and then it came out cold. When we said something to the servers and the hostess they said that it was busy (really not that busy) and our food didnt come out and others did because their orders were easier... Um, really. Then another waitress came over and gave us serious attitude... Does anyone realize WE are the customers. We got no apology.. just excuses and attitude as if we did something wrong. Finally a woman came over (after us asking for a manager) and apologized.. but at that point it was too late. We ate nothing and left. As we leave the snitty little waitresses sarcastically say "BYEEEE". They are lucky I am older. Back in the day I would have turned around and punched her in the mouth. DONT BOTHER GOING THERE!

Referred to by my friend as "The Comfy Chair Bar" because of the comfortable leather chairs and couches everywhere, Tickets was a great place to eat and hang out, especially if you're a sports fan. There are tv screens everywhere! The food was pretty good and not too expensive. I had the Philly Cheesesteak with sweet potato fries. Very tasty, well cooked and not overly greasy. There was a very eclectic mix of food on the menu, including some Greek dishes that sounded awesome. Service was good, right up until we needed our checks; that took a little bit longer than we expected. Summarily, I would definitely go again and recommend to anybody going to Newport to visit.

While on business in Newport for 6 weeks, we came across Tickets two weeks in. For the last 4 weeks, my group has gone there every Wednesday night for wing night. We were also on a Nacho quest all over Newport and Tickets by far has the best! Nachos and great wings.......what could be better? We never ate downstairs but we LOVED upstairs where the bar is and there are TV's all around. There is also a pool table. The waitress at the bar is phenominal and if you can, I suggest you sit there. We had a few different women wait on us at the tables but they seemed pretty annoyed that they had to. But, that overlooked, I highly recommend checking it out on Wednesday wing night!

Love the neighborhood atmosphere...Patti and the staff make you want to keep coming back. Food is good but love the personal touch makes it worth going back and back! Jen is the favorite bartender of some of us regulars...another one of those "everyone knows your name" places!

Not your typical sports bar...they serve a YUMMY breakfast! I've had the chicken hash- DELISH! and the Eggs Benedict, minus ham, add spinach...YUM! They make a good spicy bloody mary too! Try it out!

We went there for a couple of bloody mary's before we skipped town and headed back to Austin, TX. We told the hostess we wanted to sit outside and she rudely said to go to the Atlantic Grill across the street. I was pretty confused with the suggestion and said we were looking for something chill and that we had been to Atlantic grill. I don't think she wanted to clean off that table or simply walk us outside. We sat for 10 minutes without a waitress looking our way. We left, which was sad because we really wanted a bloody.

Wouldn't return. Went here Valentine's weekend because we didn't have reservations at several other very busy restaurants. Should have reconsidered with so few people dining. Our waitress was not very attentive, failing to refill drinks until empty glasses were placed at the end of the table. 'Mixed Grill' contained steak full of gristle and lacking flavor while 'Fish & Chips' was mostly batter. Side salad was drowned in dressing, so much so I didn't finish it. Very over priced domestic beers.

We found this place I our last day in Newport, what a gem! The Jerk chicken hash is great along with the International French toast. The staff is friendly and helpful. The view of the beach is a nice touch. I only wish we found it earlier in our trip.

This rating does not include the upstairs bar which was decent. Me and 12 friends were in Newport for Memorial Day weekend and went to Tickets to watch the Bruins, eat, and drink. Upstairs was too crowded for a party of 13 so we got three tables downstairs and watched the game on a little TV. The food and service from this point on was terrible. I personally got the Clam Chowder, but they might have served me cream soup instead since there was no trace of clams in it. Two other people in my party said the same thing. Two tables got the Calamari and it was either previously frozen or fried for about 1 minute because it was soggy and cold. I am not exaggerating when I say that not one person enjoyed their meal. These meals included clam strips, nachos, steak and cheese, and a burger. How could EVERYTHING suck so bad? The burger had plastic wrap inside of it when my friend bit into it. He asked the manager about it and then the server came over. She looked at it, said sorry, and gave him a free beer. That was the last we saw of our waiter and we still wanted to keep drinking. She still charged him for the burger by the way. If you are just looking to have some drinks and watch sports then I guess go upstairs, but if you plan on eating then try to find another place to go.

Went here for breakfast and and it was very good and shockingly inexpensive. They have every kind of breakfast choice you would want. Perfect to grab a quick, casual, breakfast for everyone in your party without spending a lot.

Great atmosphere, great service and most of the food was pretty good but DO NOT get the clam chowder. Pretty sure it had one clam in it and I've had much better out of a can.

I have always liked this place and usually order the seared tuna which is delicious and the sweet potato fries which are tasty and crispy. We went there again recently for a large birthday/anniversary celebration with our families, and they accommodated our large group. Since I am pregnant, I couldn't have the seared tuna, so I tried something new. First off, we ordered a calamari app. We had to send it back. The calamari was over-cooked and mushy, and the batter was bland and swimming in oil. I made the mistake of ordering the fish tacos for my entree. I lived in San Diego for a while and should know better than to order fish tacos in RI. However, these fish tacos were made with mahi mahi like they are supposed to be rather than scrod like I've had at other RI establishments (a big no no). Mahi mahi is supposed to be a thick, hearty, fish that you can sink your teeth into--almost like a flaky steak. This mahi mahi was a bit slimy...I wasn't sure it was really mahi mahi as the texture was all wrong for it. Overall, though, everyone was happy with their meals. Like I said, I do love the seared tuna, so I wouldn't rule out coming here again. I just wouldn't bank on their calamari and have learned my lesson yet again about ordering MexiCali food in RI.
