If you like mac n cheese, go here. I got the churico mac n cheese and am planning to return soon. Sweet potatoe fries best I have tasted. Specials overpriced. Prices are hard to find for alcohol. Service excellent.

This was a great find. Their sandwiches and burgers are delicious and at a great price! They have so many different toppings to add at no additional cost. Yum!

Really is one of the best bars on the island. Love the atmosphere, burgers, and beer, can't go wrong here.

This place is one of my favs on the island. What I like about Bossman is that it tries to be nothing but a burger and beer joint. Don't get this confused with Red Robin, because it's nothing like it. This has a diner atmosphere coupled with interesting themed art and a nice little after work bar area. The waitstaff has always been nice when I've gone, which is great. The beer selection is pretty good. They usually have several enjoyable microbrews on tap and others in a bottle. I always find something I like. The burgers are huge and could fill a normal Joe Schmo up nicely. My favorite is the Double Your Pleasure, as it has 2 patties, cheese, and a fried egg on top and some tasty bun that I love. I wasn't a huge fan of this place the first time I went, but I tried it again and I'm sold that this is one of my favorite burger places.

Nachos are amazing and different than any other nachos you've had, BBQ are personal fav! Burgers are amazing too! The fried egg on the burger is a must, and the boom boom sauce!

Well as much as I hate driving to middletown for work everyday there's a little glimmer of happiness in my day when it ends with a Boss Man Burger. The decor is very homey. It's nothing fancy but clean and neat. There's a small bar area and Tvs for those having a beer or like me eating alone. The staff there are super friendly and are always welcoming. They have some great local beers on tap such as the one I had from Foolproof. The menu is pretty big and even the fussiest eater can find Something. The burgers are so good that I've never tried anything else. I have either the blue cheese or el parque burger. Both are served on a toasted buttered bun and always comes out fresh and hot. Definetly not a frozen patty. Mine tonight had buffalo sauce , blue cheese , bacon , and onion rings. They have about six different fries to choose from. I have had the garlic bread and regular ones. Mexican fries are high on my list to try. Those have cheese and jalenpenos and poco de gallo and chili on them. Speaking of cheese they also have Mac and cheese that comes in quite a few variations. I find the prices to be fair. Nine dollars for a double cheese burger and two for fries.if you ever find yourself in the Middletown area this is a definite place to stop.

Great food, terrible costumer service. More than once I have gone there only to be ignored on my table for 10-15 minutes. Every time there were no more than a couple of costumers so I cant pin this on them being busy. There are better options out there...

I was really rooting for this place when it opened, then for some time afterwards, but after 17-20 visits, it's truly average. Everything you've heard about the service is true: Sometimes it's good, maybe even for 3-4 visits in a row, but when it's bad...it's really bad. As for the food itself, it's as consistently good as it is messy, which I'm fine with (and even like, if it's tasty) if I'm dining in. Just a heads-up; DO NOT get take out for lunch and try to eat in your car! They have creative burgers and sides (mostly fry variations), and the toppings and buns are fresh and tasty, but like many reviewers have said, the burger patties themselves aren't super flavorful. The Portuguese Burger is a stand-out. The breakfast is really good too, huge portions, although the few times I've been in the morning, not a single soul besides me was in there. You know those slightly above-average "greasy spoon" breakfast joints? This is the burger equivalent, with hit-or-miss service. They'd easily get another star if the wait staff tightened up their game a bit. I've just waited 20 minutes, after arriving, for an order that I called in, one too many times. Overall, I typically enjoy my food, sometimes a lot. Their waitstaff is the weakest link, in my humble opinion and took this place from 4 stars to 3. The 1st time I went, as well as the 3rd, followed by the 4th, I waited at least 20 minutes after I sat down to be waited on, then another 30-40 minutes for burgers and fries to come out...I just can't get behind that for a workweek lunch option. Like I said, I really want to like Bossman, I still go once a month maybe, but for above reasons, I can't be a regular.

We have been frequent diners at Boss Man but after the most recent experience,we no longer can support this restaurant. After ordering our meal of 2 burgers and one large order of fries for take out, we were told that the order would be ready in 30 minutes. Knowing that things can get busy on a Sunday evening, I arrived at the register at 35 minutes but the order was still not ready. I paid for my order and waited patiently. At 45 minutes, I asked the host what time it was. At that point, he got annoyed that I asked him the time and then doubted that I had ordered my food 45 minutes ago. I showed him my time stamped receipt , which showed when my order was placed, and he then got 6 inches from my face and told me that things were busy and that it was no big deal. I had to stand up to get the guy out of my face and seriously thought he wanted to actually fight me. My food finally was ready 50 minutes after I placed the order. Not a sorry..... Not an apology ..... Nothing. I then went on the Boss Man website and wrote to the owner about my experience..............NOT A REPLY. This restaurant has pretty good burgers but you shouldn't need to get into a near fight with the host when you ask what time it is. Unprofessional, rude, impolite and basically A**holes. Lost my business forever.

Looking at this place from the outside, you probably wouldn't think that this place churns out some of the best burgers in RI. But you would be gravely mistaken. This place not only does burgers, but does them well. You can create your own, choosing from a bevy of topping options, or choose one of their house made ones. These also have fantastic sandwiches and appetizers/sides. All items on the menu are reasonably priced. And when the quality of the food is taken into account, this place is a great deal. If you're in the area or are just in the mood for some good burgers/sandwiches this is the place to go.

Ok I have no idea what Boss Man all these negative comments are about because every time I've eaten here its been perfect. Someone said McDonalds type burgers??? Have you seen the pics? These are big handmade burgers not cheap patties. And service has been great it does get busy and you may have a wait this isn't Wendy's or 5 Guys its all made to order. Today I got the meatloaf sandwich, drooling just thinking about it. Huge piece of meatloaf griddled topped with a potato pancake, yessssss crunchy and creamy mashed potatoes, onions cooked down almost to onion soup consistisy a bit of a ketchup on a huge seeded roll. Huge. Tons of flavor. My sister got the fish and chips on special for Lent $6.99 battered and crispy not to thick with these crispy fries I kept stealing to dunk in my gravy. Homemade not to sweet slaw. Huge 2 pieces and a TON of fries. Both girls working acted like we were both their tables, bringing refills and checking in. They were busy a huge table of Fireman and another utility workers took up half the place. I highly recommend it.

Great fresh burgers with endless combinations to please any palate. Hand made onion rings and fries made just about any way you can think of too. I loved the menu that had a lot of specials that I cant wait to go back and try. very reasonable prices to boot and they now serve liquor too.

The food was delicious and very filling. I could not finish my Ruben with fries or my Mac and Cheese. The customer service was great and I will be going back to dine. The place wasn't crowded but the wait to order was a bit lengthy. ..that is the reason I docked them a star! I would recommend this joint to others. Mahalo.

They now have table service and beer and wine! This has made an already great place that much more enjoyable. We tried the Portuguese fries which were on special and they were exactly what you would expect and delicious! The burgers were just as good and the el parque is still my favorite.

Very cool place. Endless burger options. I chose a healthier option, the mozzarella and tomato salad. My son loved his bacon burger. Friendly fast service.

For you out-of-towners who are making their way through town eating up as much seafood as they can a must try- Delicious Quohog stuffies made with homemade chorizo!!! Stuffies are made a variety of ways around here, we found these to be one of the best. And let's not forget the burgers and fries - you can get them with all different toppings and the fries can come regular, garlic and herb, or buffalo (to name a few). A must stop when passing through.

Amazing! Wish I had come here sooner. Killer burgers, best I've had in awhile. Lots of toppings and good prices. Will be back!

I was rooting for this place. Local guys using local ingredients, homemade everything, etc. My first time eating there was for breakfast. The omelet I ordered was fantastic...avocado, homemade chili. The owner was our server and seems like a great guy. He was friendly and personable. There may have been one or two other tables. The last few times I have not been impressed. We were there for a late lunch, and it got much later due to the slow service. There might have been 3 or 4 other tables with customers. The server was okay, but slow. We had to ask for our drinks to be refilled, and I had to do so again. The location is convenient (frosty freez for dessert)? The restaurant is carpeted, kinda dark, and a bit dank. While the restaurant may be spotless, it just feels a bit grimy. I hope the next time I eat there my experience is positive so that I can edit my review and recommend the place to other folks. Sorry, guys.

So up until this event today Bossman had always be held in high esteem. I walk in with a friend (in a military uniform by the way) for a quick lunch with aspirations to sit down for a quick bite. We're seated and greeted by the waitress and asked if we needed a drink. We said yes ordered and she brought them promptly. Understanding it was lunch hour we made up our minds rather quickly. We sat and wait and watched our waitress coke and joke at the bar with other patrons and seemed to forget about us over in the corner. We waited about 25 mins with empty drink glasses and we got up left. We were asked if we were leaving we said oh yea! We're out. Even after this I might go back. But I downloaded yelp for this sole purpose of writing this review. Never have I been treated like this.

We were in Newport for a drive and were trying to figure what to eat. We were going to eat at another place but through burgers kinda drove us in. First off they Are quite cozy with caring and attentive staff. Normal people who seem to like their job. Wow! Don't find much like these people anymore. They are nice! Secondly choices and choices. Well burgers are amazing. We each had a different burgers. My husband had the Portuguese Burger and I had double pleasure! Oh we shared Buffalo fries! Amazing....oh and amazing. You have to try this place. Prices are great for what you will receive. They make you feel good. And food is filling! If you like burgers and innovative thinkers with the right mindset for business try this place! You won't regret it.

Amazingly good food! Friendly staff. I had a build your own burger with the garlic fries. The fries were perfectly done; crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the garlic was just the right amount. The burger was the best I can remember eating ever. My husband had the ham and cheese macaroni. Can I just say the cheese suace they use is so addictingly good it could be a drug. My only complaint is that there isn't one where we live.

I am visiting from the Seattle area. Wanted a good burger and this place was recommended. The staff recommended I have the Wild West burger...very tasty. It's nice when there is seasoning and this burger nailed it. I decided to forgo fries because I haven't had fried pickles in so long. I left satisfied.

Had lunch here today and it was excellent! I had the Chourico and Chips sandwich- delicious! My aunt had the Cheesy Cheeseburger and she loved it. We shared a basket of Spicy Buffalo Fries and they were great too! Our waitress was fantastic! The reason I give this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the decor. It feels like the carpet could use a really good cleaning or just remove it all and have flooring put in. Restaurants with carpets always give me the creeps because of all the food, liquids, etc that fall and then are absorbed. This is not a place where you will get the healthiest food on Earth, but it is definitely some of the yummiest!

I had the All American Burger and side of buffalo fries....amazing. Service was quick and awesome.

  • Jill D.

The food is good. Burgers are really good and the fish and chips too. I ordered a sesame tuna wrap, it was mediocre. For the price, it definitely needed more tuna. Most servers are good. There is one there that is so fake and I've heard her put down not only other employees, but management too. If they got rid of her, I know I'd go more. She's the only reason that they aren't our weekly family out place. Need to have friendly staff. We used to go more often, but when a negative person is working, I'd rather go elsewhere. Think her name is Tori or Tracy. Would have rated higher.

Best burgers and milkshakes in town. "addicting milkshakes" and "best burgers in history" according to my 13 year old lol Typically service is slow, sometimes very slow, but the food is worth it. It's a bit pricey, about $30 for 2 burgers with fries and 2 milkshakes but the beef is quality. They use 100% peanut oil for frying so allergy sufferers beware.

I came here the other night with my dad and my sister. I had just gotten off of work, and I was starving after a long day. I ordered the Double Bleu Cheeseburger. They both ordered a burger off the specials menu. I think it was exactly what I got, only with Boursin cheese instead of bleu cheese. We were served our onion rings and fries which the three of us shared. And we were served one of the three burgers. And then we waited, and waited, and waited for the other two. Finally the waiter came over, and I don't really understand what the "issue" was. I think he said our burgers went to another table. So by the time I got my burger, we had finished the fries and onion rings. The burger was cooked medium rare, which is how I wanted it. It was flavorful, and the bleu cheese, BBQ sauce, and onion rings were a good flavor combination. It would have been nice if I wasn't waiting so long for it though. Would I come back here? Probably not. The burger was good, but there are plenty of places on the island for a good burger. I was just turned off by the mistake. Especially after they screwed up a to-go order I made once too. It seems like the 2-person waitstaff the other night was new, and didn't really know what they were doing. That's probably more managements fault than theirs though.

I've been here twice. First time I had a cheeseburger with ketchup, mustard, mayo and pickles and it was really good. Not overcooked in any way. Our group shared the several different kind of french fries; buffalo, cheese and regular. Buffalo were too spicy for me although others liked them. Had a decent beer selection as well. This past Sunday, I wanted to try something other than a burger because my Mom said she had the best Reuben ever there and my dad had fantastic fish tacos so I figured it wasn't just a "burger" place. I had the sweet potato and black bean veggie burger on a tomato basil wrap. Omg! It was delicious! I was considering going back the next day to order another one but it snowed. The only downfall the restaurant has that it was way too cold inside. I don't like to have to wear my coat in a restaurant & they had the fans on. If the place was warmer, I would've given it 5 stars.

My friend and I went in to eat a couple days ago and we got shakes and built out own burgers. Everything was out of this world, the shakes were sooo good, we agreed we have to come back more!

Bad experience walked in was told to take a seat. Waited for 14 minutes was only acknowledge when we decided to leave. Only 2 other tables! Stay away !!! They simply do not care! Emailed them no reply neither staff or ownership cares about the customers !!!!!

This place is five star for taste, portion size, price, service, atmosphere, location! If you're craving a damn good burger served a variety of ways, you have to try Boss Mans! Full bar as well! Love the Boss Man... Best burger on the island!

Came here with my husband and friends, at my husbands recommendation ("Hey Babe you'll love this place, we've already been twice!!"). Honestly, not at all disappointed. The place was decently busy for a Thursday night, but we were able to walk in and get a seat right away. We thought the service was great and very attentive. Despite having five in our party our food came out quickly and all together. Not one of us was disappointed in our meal or sides. It's fairly obvious the patties are premade, so don't full yourself into thinking everyone in your party is getting a fresh made patty with quick service. On that note the burgers are delicious and lean topped with fresh ingredients and delicious bread. The sides were also amazing, perfect crisp sweet potato fries. I certainly am hoping to come back once I'm back in Newport! I recommend this place to anyone who can appreciate a good burger joint.

This place is great! We are from out-of-state, and stumbled upon this place after visiting the mansions. Burgers are yummy (great choices to build your own) buns super fresh, service was quick, and it's neat/clean.

Average burger, nothing special. I know it's a burger place but the stuffy was awful. Overcharged for a beer. Mission is much better, won't return.

Awful service. Waitress ignored the fact that I was there and after 20 minutes of waiting I left and got a breakfast sandwich at dunkin donuts... Thanks

Boss Man is a burger joint, and a good one! We ordered take out and they wait until you arrive to cook your fries...nice touch. Garlic fries were awesome, still hot and crunchy when we got home. Burgers were great.

If you like to wait a good 30 minutes for you to be helped and another hour for your food then its the place to be..and dont have your order messed up then thats another 30 minutes to fix the shit. Dont go hungry because you be all messed up in the game and ready to cuss them the hell out. I wont come back.

Finally got around to trying Boss Man Burgers in their new Middletown location. I thought it was great, they have a good number of specialty burgers and a ton of toppings if you decide to go your own way. I created a double cheeseburger with jalapenos, mushrooms, onions, etc. and it was delicious. It's nice that they put the burger on a decent-sized bun so all of the toppings stay on the burger. I also had their buffalo fries and while the fries were tasty, they glopped the blue cheese dressing on top of them and after eating half of them I started to scrap the dressing off. I think the fries would be better with the blue cheese on the side so you could dip the fries. Service was friendly - you order at the counter, sit down, and they serve your food once it's ready. The associates working the front walked us through the menu as it was our first time, and throughout the meal asked if everything was ok. They don't offer beer but if they did, it would make this place even that much better!

The toppings on the Portuguese burger were great. These guys know how to make a greasy, delicious burger and the fries were amazing. I had the garlic fries. As I was eating them, I couldn't help but wonder where the nearest hospital was. If you want greasy, delicious, guilt-trip food, this is the place to go! If you are looking for fancy, grass-fed patties, topped with the finest farmer's market produce, this isn't the place for you. If you like your burger with sautéed onions, some chaurice, maybe an egg, and/or some garlic butter...oh yeah (drools on self). This is a taste-bud feel good, gut buster joint.

Came in on a Friday afternoon and the place was empty, I was a little nervous because we are from out of town and just stumbled on the place but I was pleasantly surprised. I had the garlic bread bacon cheeseburger...I did not taste any garlic whatsoever so I was disappointed but judging it as a bacon cheeseburger, it's one of the best I've had lately. Bacon came out nice and crispy which is a must for me, that alone usually gets me excited for a good burger. The fries came out looking pathetic, they looked soggy and almost wilted BUT don't be fooled, they are totally delicious and perfectly crispy and salty. I wish I was adventurous and went for the garlic fries! I was disappointed that the waitress asked for a drink order before I got a chance to look at the menu...had I known that milkshakes were a specialty I definitely would have tried one.

Second time for me because I wasn't impressed the first time. Newport was jammed so we drove by and went in. The second visit was better, we sat at the bar as always. Our bartender was curtious, the beer on tap was impressive cold and delightful. I ordered blackened stripper tacos I think the bartender put in grilled they were excellent, great bite. I didnt care for the sweet potatoe fries too much breading. My bf had a double blue cheese burger had no complaints. No raves. But no complaints

It was OK. We left the gym with a hankering for some red meat and I'd seen Boss Man Burgers when I was getting some hard to find items at the natural food store next store. So we decided to stop in.... I will say when we walked in we were a bit confused. After we ordered off the specials board behind the cash register, we realized that there were menus set off to the side. Oops! Service was very pleasant, though we did laugh out loud at the counter girl wondering if guacamole was Greek or Italian. My biggest complaint is that the burgers themselves aren't particularly flavorful. All the toppings were great (mine had griddled corned beef, french fries, cole slaw and swiss cheese), but I couldn't taste the meat at all. El Husbando had the same complaint with his Guacamole Burger. That said, their Mexican Fries were super bomb. We'll probably go back when we feel like clogging our arteries with fried food and just skip the hamburgers.

We are willing to regularly drive forty+ miles to this place just for the food. Consistently great food and consistently great service. They're more than willing to customize your burger to suit your taste. My fave? The Portuguese burger on a sweet roll with the boursin cheese with a side of Mexican fries. So much to try and enjoy. We love this place. My only criticism is that they're a Pepsi house so your choice of palatable non-alcoholic drinks is limited. The lemonade isn't bad, so... you know... lemonade.

  • M R.

I love this place. I think best burger around. All local ingredients. The patty is thin, similar to that of In and Out and buns are crispy. Fries are crispy and fresh. Wings top notch. The service is attentive and kind. It's my kids' #1 choice for dinner.

From what I've heard around town the burgers here are supposed to be great and I was excited to try. We heard that all ingredients are local and organic.... ummm I highly doubt that by the flavor of my son's straight out of a box chicken strips and the burger itself. My husband ordered a burger and I ordered the cheesesteak sandwich with fries. Big portions, but who wants to eat a big portion of bad food? The burger, honest to god, tasted like Wendy's and for the price I paid I would rather have went there and I'm not a fast food fan. The steak and cheese was dripping with fat, soaking the hoagie roll and just not good. For our two meals, plus chicken fingers for my son and two fountain waters the total was around $25. A lot for the quality. Will not be back.

Went there Sunday night for last minute dinner out. The wife and I got there at 8:10, 50 minutes before close. There were 2 other tables and a handful of teenage girl servers. It seemed like our server may have been new because she didn't really know the beer selection and had to come back twice when first they were out of the beer I asked for and the next to say what they DID have. I ordered the Reuben and garlic fries and my wife got the shaved steak sandwich with onions and cheese sauce. My sandwich was actually pretty good. The thick slices of meat, tasty sauce and heft of the sandwich did the job. The fries, which were hand cut and could have been incredible, were really greasy. The garlic sauce had a real punch and would be great on fresh fries. I got the impression these were either left in the fryer too long or they were the last batch to be used that night- refried/reheated. There were lots of small pieces and fragments- definitely felt like they wanted to use them before closing for the night. My wife's sandwich seemed half full- again, last of the batch? The grinder roll itself was pretty greased up. The filling had a nice spicy heat to it. The real downfall of the sandwich was when you pressed into it, it oozed butter/oil/grease. There was a fair amount of gristle she had to pick out. She ended up leaving more than half of it on the plate. Soon after we sat down, the servers started cleaning the place and getting ready to close. This distracted our server from coming over and clearing the table. She came over to ask if we were done, then a few minutes later brought the check and never took the plates which were piled high with napkins. It may have been an off night because both our orders had signs of promise, but they were both pretty short of being worth a return trip.

Great burgers. Best in RI. So many delicious burger varieties to choose from. Very affordable too. The only downside is the wait. If you're in a hurry, it's probably not a good time to try Boss Man Burgers. Delicious shakes too.

Was told this place was better than 5 guys...tried to order takeout. Waited 7 minutes while the lady at the register talked to someone on the side. When we approached her to get our order taken she literally walked away and started cleaning a table without ever saying a word. My husband got mad and was ready to leave. As we walked out the lady told us to have a good day. Never will go back to that place. Such rude service.

Ended up here looking for brunch and weren't super sure what we had stumbled into. A strange burger place with OK food, and OK service that seemed a little convoluted in it's setup. Is this a BBQ place? Is this a Diner? Burger Joint? All 6 of us work in the restaurant industry, so the following conversation should never have happenned 'uh...now, what do we do?'... we order at the register, then sit down? do we wait here? do we bus our own table? wait, we DON'T bus our table?! what is going on? do we have a waitress? but we ordered up there...' not particularly awesome food other than the burgers. we were all left a little saddened and confused by the whole experience. I would say to head to Boss Man Burgers if you want a quick burger, but don't expect anything else to be stellar or to make sense.

FIRST AND LAST TIME GOING HERE! Was told they were the best burgers in town. First we walk in and looked like lost ducklings when finally someone from across the room said to sit down anywhere. It was so cold inside with the fans spinning, I had to keep my jacket on the whole time. There was one other table in the place with people at it, and it took 10 minutes for someone to come over. Then I ordered a burger with cheese fries. The cooks did the cheese fries first and put them on the counter. The server Tori, did not bring them over until our under cooked frozen burgers came to the table. We had ordered moz sticks, which they forgot to put in. So they gave me chilli cheese fries instead and I told her that was not what I ordered I didn't like them. She did nothing about it. It's over priced, the service sucks, the cooks suck, I do not recommend it.

This place is great. Been here twice now and everything that everyone has ordered has rocked. Had a burger the first time that had a patty topped with pulled pork, topped with bacon, covered in BBQ sauce on top of a bed of sweet potato fries all inside of a bun. It was like a meat party in my mouth with some sweet fries as the special guest. When you come here, ask for Alex. She rocks. Also, the buffalo fries are a must have.

Great food and service for really good prices. They have many burger options, and delicious fries. Also, they have amazing fried pickles which are hard to find around here.

Well, I think Im done with Boss Man. Tried it again and this time experienced both poor service and bad food. Tried to place a take out order while driving towards the restaurant but was put on hold and then hung up on. So I arrived and placed my order to go and had to wait about twenty min. Not a big deal, but I did notice a employee info sign next to there phone that advised a half hour wait for all take out orders. Thirty minutes to grill a burger? When I got home my burger was nowhere near as good as the first time we ate here. What was delicious the last time was nearly inedible the second time. So that is the end of eating at Boss Man.

This was my first time at Bossman. It is what it is... a greasy burger joint. Perfect for what I wanted for lunch. The staff was super friendly and the food was good. I had a "Double Your Pleasure" burger with cajun dusted fries and my husband had the Sweet Baby Rays Chicken Sandwich. Both were huge and flavorful. Our kids had chicken tenders, grilled cheese and topped it off with a chocolate shake. Am I dying to go back often, no. But----I will be keeping it in mind for those times that I need a greasy burger fix!

Not bad. They had a decent beer selection. You could tell the burgers weren't fresh made, maybe frozen initially. I wasn't asked how I liked my burger and the waitress never brought the water I Asked for three times. My fries were like mini fries, but the sweet potato fries were good.

I'm so glad we didn't read the reviews before eating here! Service was great and food was delicious. We shared cheese z cheese burger, fries and a coffee shake. It hit the spot. The fries were crispy on the outside and seasoned perfectly. The Burger was juicy and the bleu cheese was a nice touch. The shake was so creamy and thick we had to order another to go. We'll be back!

I'm really happy to be writing an updated, and much more positive, review. A friend of mine pointed out to me that this restaurant had a commitment to locally sourced ingredients and to local farmers and fishermen...and that I really should give them another chance...so I did...and I'm glad. On our more recent visit (last weekend), the service was much more attentive than in our first visit, the food showed up very quickly (and was fresh, freshly prepared, and, really quite good), the menu looks to have been simplified, AND(!!!) no more placing an order at the register and then having to flag down a confused server 20 minutes later with our food!!! Table service...yes, table service! This was such a better experience than we had previously and I'm really quite glad; the food was really quite good on our first visit and was every bit as good this time...and the good food and lousy "everything else" was what made our first experience so frustrating. I do, however, have one word of warning...bring extra of your statin of choice (personally, I like Lipitor, but, hey, to each his/her own), because I don't think there's anything on the menu that wouldn't make your cardiologist at least moderately twitchy.

Good Burgers here, the service is a bit iffy, they need to do more training for sure. Deliveries seem to take way too long so we don't even bother with that anymore.

We have eaten here several more times since my first review. Each time something was forgotten like a side, topping, etc. The last time I went in I called ahead. They said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant 20 mins later and paid. They said they were cooking our fries. 35 minutes later I asked about our order and they realized they had forgotten me. It was not busy at all. I contacted the manger about the service and he said he would send me a gift card. Well now nearly a month later I have not received it. So I guess the back of the restaurant and the front of the restaurant don't care about service...

This is it: the end all, be all of burgers in Middletown. Every burger on the menu is so good, so delicious, so mind-bendingly tasty, that the mere scent of one is capable of reducing a human being to basic Pavlovian responses. Which is as it should be. Every bite brings on a chorus of angels who sing Hallelujah and dance on your tongue. No joke. The service here is outstanding. The menu features fresh, local items, and daily specials. Want breakfast? This is a great place to go. Want lunch? Hey, stop on in. Get a burger. Experience meaty nirvana. Dinner? Yep. You're at the right place. Something different? This place fits the bill. Even the desserts are great. You simply cannot go wrong with this location. The prices are reasonable, too, and won't bankrupt you. I can't recommend Boss Man highly enough. Give it a shot. You'll love it.

Good luck getting delivery. They are supposedly open until 10, but every time I call for delivery past 8:30, they are conveniently "not offering delivery at this time." This is obviously a ploy by an un-managed staff to close up early and not have make an additional trip at the end of the night. I have worked for many years in the service industry, but I don't feel like ordering 90 minutes prior to closing is too imposing. It's unfortunate, because the food is pretty good. Judging by the majority of the recent reviews, I'm not alone in my opinion. The management/owners need to take a focused look at their operation because there is real potential with Bossman Burgers.

I took my family for burgers on sunday, the football games were on and would be a nice treat for my kids. Because they have no kids menu, We ordered a 1 burger, a burger wrap, a steak bomb wrap a hot dog, large fries and small onion rings. Every item was good except mine...the guy picking up the check. I got the steak bomb wrap, and it arrived at the table not as described and looked like a hot mess. After 2 bites, the sandwich was "seasoned" by the cook with black pepper. The menu did not describe the item cooked with black pepper, and it kinda killed my appetite. The rest of my family enjoyed thier meals . The burgers were not dressed with lettuce onion, pickle or tomato, you have to state what you want on your burger...its fine but I think we deserve the option when it comes out. Also they have no kids menu so my daughter ate half her huge cheesburger and my youngest daughter ate the hot dog. They enjoyed the french fries, and onion rings. I went to the counter to inform the server about the sandwich which was too peppery to eat and she was like a deer in the headlights. I told her the sandwich was inedible and she did not offer me another sandwich, nor a refund. If I wanted substandard burgers I would just go to McDonalds.
