Not only the freshest ingredients and most flavorful pizzas but the staff and owners are always professional and great customer service. We got the tuna melt and steak n blu pizza. Both highly recommended

Used to go here quite often as the pizza was awesome. In the past 4-5 months I would say, the pizza has gone wayyyy downhill. New cooks? The cheese is way too much (crazy because cheese is my favorite food) and lumps all the toppings with it so when you take a bite it all falls off. It's like a giant cheesy, salty blob on top. This has been the situation for the past 3-4 visits from us. Not sure what they changed over there but very disappointing as there isn't much else to choose from. Tonight there was an entire side of the pizza that was mostly crust... Had an excellent meatball grinder though when they gave me that by accident instead of a meatball pizza. Probably way better than the pizza would have been... We keep trying them hoping it will get better but hasn't happened. Hope they're reading this... bring back the old ways!!!!

The staff was extremely friendly I was house sitting for a friend and needed a bite to eat. She recommended I try this place if I wanted pizza. I ordered delivery online and has been waiting for about 40 minutes so I called them to check and make sure they had the right address. The guy that answered the phone was very friendly and explained that sometimes they get the online orders late. He also told me that once they get their own website up and running again, online ordering will be much faster. The man that delivered the pizza was also very friendly. He also was surprised to see me instead of my friend. (She must order there a lot) I had the cheese wedges, they are more ball then wedge and tasted great. I also had a personal size pizza that was enough to feed at least 3 people, It was much larger than expected. I didn't give it a full 5 stars because my pizza was a little burnt on the bottom. I would still order from them again.

I ordered a large pizza with sausage. They said 20 minutes....it took a bit more than 30 minutes....while I waited at the pizza parlor. My first bite found the crust kind of chewy. The cheese tasted a bit artificial, not grade A cheese ..the sausage was just OK. When I got to the thick crusty end, that piece did not disappoint. It was crispy and a bit toasty. Overall OK, but I have definitely experienced better....

Here at 11:10. I appreciate restaurant closes at midnight. Drove half hour and exhausted and the attendee ignored us. Door locked obviously. Least practice customer service and come to the door.

The outside of this place is so unassuming that we almost didn't go in. We had tickets from the lord of the pies or we would have not went in. Thank god we did ! It's a very small place but there's tables for seating it eaiting if you get take out. There are so many options for pizzas that it took us ten minutes to decide. We chose the sweet heat pizza that had ham pineapple and jalepenos on it. The topping that pushed it over the edge Into Epic awesomeness was soy sauce. Whoa. The mesh of flavors was so good. The service was friendly and the pizza came out fast. They also have salads and subs for those who may want Something besides pizza. Go there. Go there now. I'm not kidding. Drop what your doing and go get some pizza from east coast !

I swear this pizza is perfect. you will honestly drive by this place & not even realize the greatness that comes out of here. their pizza specialities are amazing. the drive there is definitely worth it, if they were on Weybosset they will do really well with college students. This place is definitely top 5 pizzas so far in RI.

I think the other reviews hyped up this place a little bit. It was just OK. I loved the pizza crust - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. But the sauce tasted like it came from a jar, too thick and overly seasoned. Also, we ordered a meatball pizza... what we got looked like a meatball pizza but tasted like Italian sausage? It was very hard to tell what it was. I will definitely order from here again to give it a second chance.

As you tell from from my reviews I'm a bit of a pizza junkie and had heard good things about it so I gave it a try. The pizza itself was great. Nice balance of sauce and cheese, crust had some nice flavor too it as well. But, the crust expanded a lot in the oven, making the slices rather small. Also, it was $12.94 for a large cheese pizza and I got home and looked at the menu and large is only suppose be $9.00, which with tax would've been $9.72. So I was overcharged by more than $3.00.

You would never, ever predict the type of pizza that is coming out of this place. Located in an old subway, and still resembling one, East Coast Pizza is a hidden gem. I chatted with the owner and he KNOWS pizza, he LOVES pizza, and he's got a creative mind. We had the cheeseburger pizza on this visit, which is a personal favorite. Not only does this pizza have an AMAZING crust with sesame seeds baked in along the edge, it also has a great balance of hot (hamburger, bacon, cheese) and cold (lettuce, tomato, mayo) toppings. Baked on corn meal, the bottom of the crust is crunchy and super flavorful. Because it was my first time, the owner even gave me a sample of his fried dough with milky way bars inside. Um, yes. Yes all day and all night. DELICIOUS. I'll be back often, I'm sure.

Okay East Coast, you win, you win! Have another star. So far I've had nothing but good things to say about this place and have recommended it to many people, but now they've really exceeded my expectations. The quality of their food is like what you'd get at a nice sit-down restaurant, except it's fast and delivered to your front door. Literally EVERYTHING is homemade and fresh. I can now say this for sure after trying a large variety of their menu items. The last time I ordered it was a snowy night and I really just wanted some greasy snacks. I figured with the weather it would take a little while but didn't mind waiting. About an hour later my food shows up with a very friendly driver, who gives me a 2-liter of Sprite "on the house" and apologizes for the delivery delay. Now THAT is how you keep a customer coming back! Also having drivers that actually walk up and ring the bell (instead of calling from their car down the road) and are super friendly is VERY rare in this area and will be well received. Oh, and the "snacks" that I ordered were gigantic and delicious! I got the fried mozzarella balls which are fresh and handmade, and accompanied by a large side of their homemade spicy marinara. You can tell they're handmade because they vary in size. And I never dip my mozzarella in marinara ever because it's always way too tomato-y, but this stuff is spicy, flavorful and full of fresh garlic and onion. I also got the buffalo chicken french fries, which were straight out of french fry heaven. The portion is massive. The french fries and hand cut and homemade. The buffalo sauce is perfectly spicy and they add just the right amount of bleu cheese. The chicken has crispy fresh breading and is juicy and delicious. This stuff is amazing but you're going to need a fork. I'm going to order again. And again and again and again.

For about two months now, I've been ordering the Epic Italian once a week. It is, BY FAR, the best Italian grinder I've ever had. The bread is what makes it. I've also had the pizza. Very good. I recommend the Margarita. The staff is great. They've always been nothing but kind and personable. I highly recommend. A+

I love East Coast Pizza! My business is right next door, so naturally I eat here a lot! It's awesome! Everything I get is good - they never miss the mark! Pizza, Sandwiches (TRY THE BIG PIG!), Salads, Fries - They have it all! On top of the food being amazing, the staff is just as great! I love how I feel like family when I walk in.

I tried this during the RI food fight pizza challenge. I am in love and can't wait to go back for more. The crust is chewy and crunchy in all the right places and the toppings are quality and flavorful. They are also really great in the customer service side of things. With the multitude of delicious pizza in our state, they have the right combo of great pizza and friendly service to keep a good customer base. I will certainly go out of my way to revisit this pizza.

East coast pizza is my ultimate favorite delivery/take-out place! Whenever I dont feel like cooking, my boyfriend and I don't even have to discuss which place to order from because they're "THE" place. I have been ordering here almost once a week. They are not your typical take out joint. Everything we've order here so far has been so fresh, so good that you'd think they have an oven in their car to cook the food and when it's done, knock at our door and feed us. From their plain pepperoni piZza (nothing plain about it) to their calzones(philly steak with onions) to their quesadillas(buffalo chicken, theyll do it extra spicy if you want) to their subs ( chicken parm is bomb) is sooooo good and makes my tummy so happy! They even upgrade your fries (cajun wins all the time in my house). Definitely a big fan and will be ordering all the time

This place is absolutely amazing. The pizzas are epic! Anything you can think of you can get on top of your pizza! They also have options for flavoring your crust! Holy cow! I suggest trying the cheeseburger pizza with the sesame seed crust! Nom Nom nom! That also have many options other than pizza. Sandwiches, quesadillas, wings, pastas, salads and more!! I will frequent this establishment as much as I possibly can! All I can say is YUM!

The margherita pizza is fantastic drizzled with balsamic. The buffalo chicken calzone was good but the cheese inside wasn't melted so I had to throw it in the oven for a bit. My 5 year old was stoked that they let him sign the wall! Nice staff, decent food.

Best pizza and grinders in johnston for sure. The chicken cutlet can't be beat. You also must try the French fries, just like something you'd get on the pier in OOB. The guys are always nice and pleasant too. Haven't been disappointed yet. Keep up the great work!

  • Keith W.

Everything is amazing here, we have ordered lots off their menu, but I would say their chef salad, BBQ boardwalk fries, and their Sicilian pizza are the top three things on the menu. Fun crusts and drizzle options are also a bonus.

  • Ted B.

Their pizza sliced are insanely good (comparable to a slice you'd get in NY). Boneless wings are delicious. That's about my knowledge of the menu, but the amazingly friendly staff made me feel at ease to order whatever with confidence!

Pizza was ok. Service, lack of gloves, cleanliness and snot said otherwise. Do not go. Read the DOH reports before you do. It's scary.

Friendly staff, and delicious pizza (try the Mediterranean...soooo good). We ordered chicken broccoli Alfredo pasta and a small pizza. Pasta dish was a generous portion with plenty of Alfredo sauce and your choice of garlic bread garlic knots or Italian rolls. The pizza crust was crispy and toppings didn't slide off when you tried to take a bite. Prices are very reasonable, portions are big, and the food is delicious. Seating is limited to 2 booths and a table as this is a mostly take out and delivery business. It is handicapped accessible. Delivery is within a 3 mile radius. Plenty of choices on the menu and they even have special deals that are available all the time without coupons. We will definitely order from them again. They're open 7 days a week.

This place is incredible as far as food, service, variety, price, everything. I wish I kept a picture of their food but I've had their pizza, fries and sandwiches and they were all fantastic. My favorite is a tie between the steak fries and pizza but the chicken Caesar wrap was soooo good probably the best I've ever had. They grill it, stuff it with tons of food and top it with fresh Parmesan cheese. Everything is so fresh too. I went in one time to order a sandwich and while I waiting they gave me a slice of pizza on the house! And it was delicious! They're so nice and anyone with the complaint that it took a while, they make everything fresh to order they don't just freeze and deep fry everything like a lot of other places. Definitely best place in Johnston as far as food service and price! Must try!

Today was my second time trying East Coast Pizza and I have to say they are consistent and delicious! The pizza dough is hand tossed and the perfect thickness. Its nice and crispy with great flavor. The ingredients are fresh and tasty! They even have the pepperoni that curls up around the edges. I love that. Not only is the food great, but the restaurant is super clean and the service is excellent. Give it a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

East Coast Pizza has ruined me for all others. Oh, the PIZZA! The sauce...the crust...it's just perfection. They have an extensive menu, so I haven't tried most things, but the PIZZZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAAAAA. If I can be perfectly honest, the first time I went in, I just grabbed a slice. I was pretty turned off by the women at the counter. They weren't very friendly and almost made me feel like I was interrupting. But I took one bite...and all was forgiven. I've ordered delivery a few times and it took WAY longer than it should. I think the customer service needs a little help and it's five stars, all the way. Hands down, it's the best pizza in the Providence

The great illusion... The pizza looks so much better than it actually tastes. It's basically sauce and bread, lots of bread. When you open the box you start to salivate. It looks beautiful! Then you take the first bite and you wonder what is this.

Great food overall. Ordered a sandwich, pizza and calzone. Dough was tasty, all i have to complain about was the fact that they put the sandwich sauce a.k.a. thousand island cause i ordered their Ruben style sandwich, before it was placed in the over to crisp causing it to become very dry and the calzone needed a little more cheese to ease the dryness. Other than that, i would recommend and buy again.

Hopefully this is the right profile, two show up when searching. But I also tried this place with the lord of the pies and it won 1st place and very much deserved to win, so congratulations to the owners and staff. Surprised they are not doing the wing food fight because they would win that too. I tried the kicking Bourbon wings, the best wings I have had. I actually liked the wings more than the pizza, and the pizza won first place in a state wide contest so that is saying something. Margarita pizza was great and the balsamic sauce on top was nice touch. I haven't been back since the pizza bender that was lord of the pies, but will be going back soon. It's actually not that far from providence ,well worth the drive.

Love this place. The food is wonderful! Their specialty pizzas are wonderful - I love them much better than any place locally! The lunch deals are wonderful and their prices are reasonable! They aren't afraid to use spices and their ingredients are wonderful! They will make just about anything they can for you so don't be afraid to ask. They are wonderful owners and super sweet to kids also! Great food portions as well! We are local so haven't used delivery.

Had an unfortunate experience with this place two weeks ago. I had ordered from here once before and thought it was pretty good, so I ordered again online through grub hub. Estimated delivery time was an hour, which I thought was long for a Sunday afternoon but I did not mind, if they are busy they are busy. I ordered a pizza, fries, and an order of doughboys. The delivery took an hour and twenty minutes and when she arrived, the driver did not have the pizza. When she saw me, she said "You had a buffalo chicken pizza, right?" I said yes, she said "I'll have to go back and get it, he didn't give it to me." And she handed me the rest of the food and drove away. No apology, no assurance that it would be rushed back as soon as possible, nothing. She did come back very quickly, but perhaps had rushed out without any of my information because she did not ring the buzzer or call me, I went to the door because I saw her outside through the window. She was on the phone, presumably calling the establishment to try to figure out which apt was mine/what my phone number was. When she saw me, she hung her phone, handed me the pizza, said "There you go, thanks", and drove away. Of course the pizza was cold by this time, which is a shame, because the taste was quite good, but I had to reheat it so it dried out a bit. I was just a bit shocked by the idea that it did not seem to be a problem at all to anyone that my order was delivered late and incomplete. I was not going to make a fuss at all, or ask for compensation, or anything. I have worked in the food industry before so I know the myriad of things that can happen that lead to what appears to be poor service but is really a hard-working staff doing the best they can in difficult circumstances. I just couldn't believe the driver didn't so much as offer a polite "Sorry about that!" Nevermind good customer service, that's just good manners. Probably won't take the chance on this place again, unfortunately. As I said, this was my second time ordering, and after waiting 90 minutes total to have been delivered a partial order then a cold pizza, it doesn't seem worth the risk, especially considering they are pretty pricey compared to other places around.

Discovered this place during the RI Food Fights Pizza Extravaganza. Live in Providence and traveled all the way to Johnston (you would get this joke if you live(d) in Rhode Island). Not far away at all. Found out owner's family were originally bakers which makes sense because their pizza dough was awesome. Another nice feature of this place was that while we were waiting for our food the owner gave us some slices to try -- when was the last time a pizza/sandwich shop gave you anything FREE? All in the pizza was very good (if you like thin slices, which I do). Hope this place is around for some time to come!

Very Inconsistent . Tried this place five times. They need to get the Kinks out very soon. Delivery times ranged from 45 to 60 minutes. Pizza and sandwiches are always cold upon delivery. I asked for reciept they can only text it to you. So what happens if I call from landline???? For which I had done. Place needs to be a la lot cleaner. I'm in food service industry myself and I could point thinks out. But i won't get too specific. Floors always dirty up front. I don't want it see back of house. And also cover up your cold unit.
