Place had awesome pizza and salads. Sad to see they closed as i have yet to find another place that has crust as good as theirs was. Crossing my fingers they reopen again.

When I manage to find the time, I enjoy venturing out into the various neighboring towns on my lunch break to see what yummy eats I can find. Some coworkers and I have ordered or stopped into Forno Pizzeria a couple of times. Each time I have called ahead so I cannot really attest to any wait times, but they have delivered from Cumberland to North Smithfield in a timely manner and always offered a coupon (there have even been one or two incidents where coworkers forgot the coupon and the Pizzeria still honored it). The drivers were always very nice and personable as well. Most of this was within the first year or so that the pizzeria had been open. The last time I visited was a few months ago. I saw a sign saying they were under new management which made me a little nervous because I had really enjoyed Forno as it was. My go-to lunch option was the chicken salad pita with lettuce, tomato, and pickles. They make the chicken salad in house and it is very good, the bread they use for the pita is my favorite part, it is delicious and filling. Side note: be sure to specify what you want on the pita or you will get a plain pita with chicken salad and nothing else on it! When I ordered "my usual" under the new management, it tasted about the same but lacked the salt and pepper that had previously been added to the toppings (no big deal); however I did notice a change in the customer service. I told the woman that handed me my sandwich that I was planning on eating on one of the tables outside yet still had to walk back inside twice, once for utensils (the pita is massive, you will have some left-over) and once more for napkins, I was never offered a plate of any kind. She also just gave the impression that she had much better things to be doing than to help me, which left me a little peeved. If a friend suggests Forno for lunch or dinner in the future I will probably agree, as long as my yummy pita stays the same, but will remain wary. I like to know what to expect when I dine out and I can't say Forno has succeeded in that just yet. Plus, Cumberland House of Pizza is minutes up the road and I always know what to expect when I eat there. In my opinion, the casual pizza place vibe has already been done by CHOPS and if Forno wants to succeed they really need to thrive off of a more "gourmet" approach to things.

Love this place. My boyfriend works near Cumberland and saw the special for $4.99 for a large cheese (promotion for grand opening). We decided to try it. Pizza was amazing, if you like thin crust pizza, this is a must try. The steak fries were well cooked, not soggy. And the side salad was huge and made with a great deal of fresh veggies. I have a feeling this will be a new frequent place for us to order pizza.

Forno Pizzeria in Cumberland just opened and I decided to try takeout from there last night. I love a good chicken salad, so I decided to try their chicken salad wrap (it's listed as a sub on the menu but the menu also says that all subs can be made into wraps). *Note: their menu also says: "All subs come with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle." Since "all subs can be made into wraps" I thought my wrap would come with these as well.... not so. I received my wrap (and it was a white wrap, they don't have wheat) and the tortilla was chewy, hard, and stale. Surprisingly NOT fresh for a place that just opened its doors. Inside the wrap was mushed up chicken doused in mayo, with iceberg lettuce thrown on top. Nothing about this said "chicken salad" Moreover, the tomato, onion, and pickle that was supposed to come with all subs was absent. I'm sad that I actually paid for this, because once I took it home I couldn't eat more than one bite. I surely will not return to this place.

My family and I decided to try this new pizzeria this weekend. Sadly it was a very big mistake. We ordered a small pizza, a meatball sub and a children's grilled cheese with fries. In a reasonable amount of time our food arrived at the table. My young daughter was ready to eat. As I was about to cut into her grilled cheese my wife noticed mold along one side of the bread. I brought this to the attention of the waitress who alerted the cook. I mentioned that he may want to check his bread because the sandwich he made had mold. He seemed a little bit embarrassed but not as concerned about the mold as a cook should be in my opinion. He took the sandwich from me and went off to cook another one. When the second sandwich arrived, it was mold free but barely cooked. The cheese was still solid and the bread was barely toasted at all. The pizza was OK and really tasted like Papa Gino's pizza. I would expect a little more from a local pizzeria. The meatball sub was cold, tasteless and I had asked for no cheese on it, but it came with some anyway, at least it was mold free. Needless to say we have walked through those doors for the last time, what a shame, we had high hopes.

New ownership of this restaurant made a HUGE difference. The food is pretty good (i like thin style pizza). My only advice is to hire people who can talk to people on the phone that don't have attitudes. Better staff=better experience=higher stars

I have to admit the body of the pizza was pretty good, actually the cheese was a dang good pizza. The crust on the other hand was a joke, there was nothing to it. I know I'm a big fan of crust even most "New York" style pizzas (which are known for lack of crust) had more compared to this place. Not only was the crust lacking but they mess up on not one but two items I ordered. They gave me a plain garden salad instead of an antipasto and in place of the seafood lovers plate they just gave me a fish and chip order. Needless to say two family members were upset that they didn't get the meal that we ordered and that was repeated back to us. Guess we'll be going back to our old favorite pizza joint.

When this place opened a few weeks ago they dropped off a pile of menus to my place of employment. So I decided I'd give it a shot after they had a little time to work the bugs out of the place. When I called to order, they were out of what I wanted, so I had to look at the menu again and call them back. No worries, I'm not terribly picky when it comes to food. When I called back and placed my order, I was told it would be here in 15-20 minutes. This to me was actually stunning, since I know that most delivery places take longer. So when the 20 minutes came and went I thought nothing of it. After the 20 minutes passed, another 40 passed before my food finally showed up, making the total time until delivery exactly one hour. The icing on the cake was the barely warm, soggy fries that my meal then had with it, so I'll be crossing this place off of the list of places I'll be ordering from.

We finally gave this place a try. Ordered the "special" $4.99 for large cheese pizza. I don't know if its because they where getting ready to close, but the crust on the pizza could have been cooked a little longer for our liking. Crust reminds me of Papa Gino's. The waitress that took the order was ok. However, the other two staff members did not even smile. We will order the cheese pizza again, but their prices seem a little high for other menu items for the type of establishment it is. Will ask them to cook the pizza a little longer next time now that we know how they cook it.

Love the pizza and grill chicken salad. Have not tried anything else. Hard to find thin crust hand tossed pizza around here.

We have been here a few times- we usually get the cheese pizza- it is very NY style. They have nights where you get free fried dough- topped with sugar/cinnamon- with an order. We love these- very tasty! They have board games there to play while you are waiting or to just hang out. They have theme nights too. The owner always stops over to our table to say hello. This place seems like it is trying really hard- hope it makes it, but there is a lot of pizza competition in Cumberland.
