    Average sandwich place, there is nothing special about it. Same meats could be bought at a stop n shop or Shaws. Certainly tastes better than any subway, but since I am not a subway fan this place is very average.

    My wife and I moved to Rhode Island in June of 2012, and I have been searching for a place that makes a good Italian Sub. I heard a radio ad for The Village Deli, and decided to try it. The sub was better than the sandwich at my favorite deli in the Boston area - very flavorful. packed with Boar's Head meats and huge ! The roll was to die for. The deli is very modern and clean, and the staff was very polite and helpful - we'll be back to try some of the other sandwiches, pizza and deli salads which all looked fresh and delicious.     Nice little gem I'm Cranston. Easy to miss from the main road but definitely worth a trip. Their meats are great quality and the prepared food is great. I grabbed a sautéed roast beef sandwich with a side of fries for lunch and a container of soup and one of pink vodka sauce for later that night. The sandwich was falling off the basket long and the meat was very tasty. Nice, clean oil in their fryer too because the fries were perfect. The owner gave me a very tasty biscotti bite on the way out (which they apparently make in-house) and I was off. Dinner that night was the soup which was, dare I say it, better than grandmas and I paired the pink vodka sauce with some cavatti from gem. So so so good. Will def be back soon for lunch and I'd considering them for catering with the selection of prepared food they offer. Place is spotless too.

    I'm a huge fan of this place. The staff is friendly and helpful and always greet you when you walk in the door. The food is made with quality ingredients. I ordered the veal parm sandwich the other day and it was one of the best I have ever had. The large is enough for 2 people and it is stuffed with meat. The décor of this place is welcoming and is super clean. Its a little pricey but for an awesome sandwich its well worth it. They also have soups, and prepared foods like stuffed meatball, shells etc. This place is a must try.

    This place makes THE BEST old world italian sub! They also have the best stuffed peppers. Everything I tried so far has been delicious! Oh and I can't forget about their pizza slices. .. DELISH! Friendly staff, clean place, and delicious food. I highly recommend this place!

    First of all I've wanted to try this deli for a few weeks now after reading such great reviews on yelp. Have to inform everyone that I visited this establishment today for lunch and I should have known better to walk in when the name was no longer Village Italian Deli. The new name is 4 sons Italian deli. After contemplating on trying it out or just going some where else, my curiosity or it could have been my growling stomach got the best of me and have to give it a try. Menu was promising so I ordered the special sandwich called the Lisa Marie A chicken cutlet with broccoli rabe and provolone cheese on a hard hoagie roll. My buddy ordered the Italian. Ok now the breakdown... Visually I knew I was not in the same deli as I envisioned from the yelp reviews. The sandwich was nothing that was in the photos. My sandwich had what was suppose to be a chicken cutlet. It must have been a piece of chicken that was literally shave to the thinnest possible. The next would have been see thru. And breaded so 1/4 chicken 3/4 bread crumbs. Done more on the well done side, the broccoli rabe was pretty bland I had to add salt and pepper for taste. The hard roll was the best part of the sandwich. The Italian was not worth reviewing, again the roll was the best part. The 2 sandwich and 2 sodas costed me $21 and change. It just didn't seem to worth what we just ate. I drove a few miles down to Oaklawn Ave. to Garden Hills Fruit and Deli to order up a large Green Monster to salvage my lunch break. Green monster is Italian ham with broccoli rabe sautéd in olive oil,red pepper flakes,garlic,salt,pepper. And sharp provolone cheese tucked into a half loaf of Italian bread. And their chicken cutlets are at least 10 times thicker than the 4 sons version.
